When I read again the article about King Fahd of Saudi Arabia being named as one of the reasons Mary McEachron resigned as chief administrator of the Buck Institute on Ageing, I felt weak. She was the one who made the Buck Foundation, impenetrable. Is she a attorney? Did the law firm owned by Robert Brevoort Buck, help Mary? If so, then this foundation – seeded by oil money – is on par with the Getty Foundation, seeded by oil money – and art! Getty and Buck are joined at the hip by Christine and Garth Benton – and Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor.
Three years ago I posted proof Liz is my cousin who suffered terribly with the disease of alcoholism, and deserves the attention of Alcohol Justice. Art is saturated with Big Oil Bucks. I met a fellow poet who married into the Schlumberger family. That I have been depicted as insane, is to hide these ties that bind. Art Historians are bid to get a grant – and then they own you! I have got no response from Alcohol Justice after putting my famous sister, Liz, and my mother, in the same barrel going over the falls. My good friend, Bryan MacLean, may have died after drinking of Christmas Eve. Garth successfully sued Ann and Gordon Getty for painting over the mural he did in their home. Here is Christine and the Getty Mansion in New York. Alcohol Justice got attorneys on Plumbjack Winery once co-owned by Gavin Newsom who I contacted back in2000. Lawrence Chazen is a partner, and was an investor in the first Rosamond gallery. He tried to become the executor of Christine’s estate, but was the No.1 Creditor.
And the synchronicity – keeps on coming. Our cousin starred in the movie ‘The Sandpiper’ wherein she is an artist who lives near where Christine drowned. They look alike. Pebble Beach is not but fifteen miles away. As a child Liz starred in National Velvet. I kept it a secret Liz was our kin because Sydney Morris gave permission for a movie to be made – which had not restrictions on how my movie scripts could be written! It appears they would author – as many as it took – to get the BIG BUCKS!
Here is the proof that Robert Buck’s law firm set up all the Buck foundations – which might be a conflict of interest. Was Mary just the front person? Google her and see how all her info is erased. Did Buck petition any city in Marin to build Fort Buck, like they did in this letter? For Morris’s name to appear on this letter connects him with the County of Marin. Here’s my mother’s home movie the Ventura Museum wanted. For a month I am preparing to record and post all the evil things Snyder had to say, he given his golden chance to resolve his family issues, being – he’s a bum who never met us!

For two days I have been in a trance due to my PTSD and my Battle with Bigism. But, it went way beyond that. The Net of Coincidence as described William Anton Wilson, and Synchronisty as put foreword by a group of artists, was being provided billions of dollars of BIG PROOF. Two months ago I posted on King Fahd when I founded MARINSHIPMATES.COM. I found a film of this foreign king going up the gangway of the U.S. Tamaulipas, a new oil tanker made – especially for him – allegedly to help in the War Effort, but World War Two – was over! I looked at the fate at the hundreds of black workers – and the trial of black sailors who loaded munitions at Port Chicago. Now ad Rubar Sandi, and his premilitary group DynaCorps, then you see this remark in a new light. These two men are Muslims. The Buck Foundation has gone to great lengths to EXCLUDE the last wish of Beryl Buck to had her money seed a spiritual program. To do th is would leave the Buck Foundation open – to many! Below is Shembe. I became a member of his church in 1988 after declaring myself a Nazarite who take a vow to abstain from alcohol. With the talk of secession that would harm blacks in red states, and with the violence of the Proud Boys, I suggested a Prussian Turner Marching Band.

When I first read about Sandi, I was friends with Kurds on Facebook, and belonged to two pro-Kurd groups. Members felt surrounded on all sides. Treachery was the password. Trust – plummeted. I was threatened by a Kurdish hacker who was collapsing ISIS websites. I was in the middle of Cyber-Warfare. He spared this blog when others vouched for me. What I had done as a theologian, was trace the original Christian Church made up of Nazarites – to the Kurds! The Church of the Eastern Star may be the remnants of the church that Paul chased into Damascus. In 1988 I declared myself a Nazarite and Baptized myself. This was part of my Recovery Program in AA and Serenity Lane. I needed a Higher Power, and had been driven out of Bible Study by my minister for asking too many good questions. I read Luke one night when I was forty years of age. I never read the Bible before. I had just come back from a gathering of Meher Baba Lovers in Portland. They came from all over the world. I bunked in a room on college grounds with a young man from India.
Shortly, there will be an alignment of two stars that is called ‘The Christmas Star’. I wonder if this celestial event created the Church of the Eastern Star? What is remarkable, is, I just discovered Jonathan Aitken is a James Bond real-life character! Consider Starfish. I am trying to see if Aitken had any contact with Rena Easton’s late husband. My vision about my brilliant move with my Bishop that put me in the huddle of the Buck Foundation – has come to pass. Am I sitting at – THE FINAL TABLE?
Last night I found a photograph of Karen Holly and read the idea that she was hiding something from me. We had met in the lounge at the Shattuck hotel in Berkley. My friend was talking to Karen and her friend at a classic stuffed-seat table. He came and got me at the bar. When I stood looking down at Karen, she said;
“I want to have your baby!”
I took her to my little room at the University Hotel on Shattuck where I was in love with a twenty-two year old Seminole Indian with a tattoo on her wrist. It was love at first sight, but, I pushed her away. After my days of wine and roses with Laurie, I did not want get started with Leslie. I knew Native Americans have no immunity to alcohol in the DNA, and I might addict her. I told her I had quit making love. But, when she saw me with Karen, and heard us making love, she had hope. Leaving my room I caught this very beautiful woman in a white bathrobe on her way to the common shower. She gave me a look that told me I could approach her, go with her to her into her room, and put her robe on the floor. This is a image that causes me to weep. This is too tragic. At the same time I discover Karen is a severe alcoholic and just as bad as Laurie – if not worse. She is a manager at a bank that is about to let her go. At her place we dance to Johnnie Mathis and then make passionate love. But then we fell into the pit at the same time. There were drunken angry bouts for no reason at all. I told her I wanted out, that I couldn’t do this anymore. I stopped seeing her.
Leslie and I grow closer. We pal around together. She sees me as a Radical Warrior. She had gone on the warpath when a guy fucked her over. She stacked crates in an alley under his window. She snuck in and started kicking him as he slept. When she told me this story, her brown eyes turned as black as coal. When she was at our friends house she asked me to come help her deliver a litter of kittens. Doing her dishes, a glass broken and cut my hand. We went to the hospital where I had stiches.
I had become good looking and sexy after being with Laurie for over two years. She had been a dancer in that famous club in New Orleans, and had become a high class hooker. She re-taught me how to kiss – and fornicate! Women had become very attracted to me. They know when you are very sexually active. Laurie brought women home from work for me to make love to. She was a bartender at the Oakland airport. I didn’t go for them, or the couples we met in bars where she lined up dudes for me. That was her big fantasy, a threesome. She wanted to see me be dominant with her and a male. She was a sex-crazed sex addict on top of the cocaine and booze. I was right there, keeping up with her, even when she took me into a Hell’s Angel bar in San Leandro where she was beating all the bad boys at pool – then laughing in their face!
Then a angry Angel came at me as I sat down at the far end of the bar. He reached out his hand.
“You got to one hell of a man to put up with an asshole like that! Let me shake your hand!”
I am kin to Ian Fleming and knew I had topped his fictional character.
“By the way. What’s your name?”
Then, Karen showed up at my door.
“I want you to help me drive to rehab. I want to go to LA and meet your mother. I want you to have this guitar in memory of me. Never give it away!”
With seven years of sobriety, I went to Reseda to do an intervention on my mother who was flipping out because she lost one of her four children. No family member was in my corner. They were all behind Stacey and Jacci Belford purchasing of our creative legacy. Rosemary woke me in the middle of the night. She was rummaging around her tiny house at 4:00 A.M.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m looking for Christine. Go back to sleep!”
As I type, I feel like going back to bed. For an hour my PTSD has made it a struggle to write the last two hundred words. I thought she was looking for Robbie’s handgun. He had called me and asked me to come help his wife while he fled to his parents in Penssyania. He was seeing a side of Rosemary that scared him. Vicki told me Robby was shocked to learn our mother was an alcoholic. She let me see her trick. She hid her bottle of Vodka, and would take it out to fill a copper watering can that she put on top of the dryer. She had it on a placemat. It looked like a decoration. She would put vodka in a coffee cup, and sip on it…….all day! My mother…..was never sober.
I had called a Revovery House before I got on the plane. I found an AA meeting close by. We talked bout committing Rosemary to an institution. They would send people to her home – during the day! I did not have a plan…for the middle of the night! I am in deep shit. I sit up on the sofa, and make myself be awake. I compare these times to a guy in a shark tank, and here come a Great White.
Earlier, I had the mother of a world famous woman artist, who drowned on her first sober birthday, call up Executor Sydney Morris – who wouldn’t pick up for me. He was happy she called because Christine’s house was about to be shut and put on the market. There was a big box of our family photogrpahs that no one wanted.
“Do you want them?……..(long silence)
“Of course I want them!” Rosemary spoke like the ex-ecutive secretary she used to be at Rucker.
Hanging up, this very intelligent woman looked confused.
“I told you something is going on! Now do you believe me? Vicki is up to something. she dropped out as executor. If she had not then then our photographs would not be in jeopardy. I told her Vicki and shamus had taken her share of the family partnership prints from Chrisitne’s house – hours after Christine drowned. Rosemary told me about the original she owned, and the master image her daughter gave her when she world for Rosamond. It was payment of sort, and security. Rosemary went to the closet to get it….and it wasn’t there.
“Did Vicki know you had it? When was she last here?”
“Three weeks ago!”
“See! I told you! They can make many prints from that master. The sent Vicki on a special mission….to steal it from you! They make 2,000 prints at $450 a pop! Do the math! That master is not inventoried – nor will the prints from it – be part of the Estate. Vicki has gone crazy!”
This master Rosamond was what my mother was looking for in the middle of the night – while going to that copper can over and over again. No she has sat down on the sofa. She is beaten. Vicki has been Tricky Vicki -to the max. Robby called her that.
“Do you have any children?”
“A psychic said I have two children.”…….(long pause)
I wanted to tell her there is a good chance Karen had my child, that this was he reason she wanted to meet my mother before going into rehab. They spent hours togehter in the kitchen, talking about me.
“You know. Of all your women I met, I like Karen the best!”
So, I looked at Karen’s photograph last night, and I picture Rosemary’s grandson inside her womb as they talked in the kitchen. This is how close my mother got to our child, who she named……Bill. This would be the last time I saw my mother alive. The next two hours are so horrific, that if it was a scene in a movie, people would walk out. Before I ran to catch a bus – out of there – I found my mother’s address book and inked out my phone number. Three years later, she is dead. Below are some of the phtographs that were saved. I believe she called Mark Presco and hed got them, and out them on a disk. I had to wrap Rosemay in a sheet to keep her from walking on the glass that was all voer the kitchen floor after I threw her Vodka bottle in the sing – nd it exploded. The realization he was out of Vodka – consumed her soul! She was trying to get into the shark cage. Sheer terror! I was all alone with The Monster.
“Why didn’t you tell me you had children?”
“I didn’t want you to get your hands on them!”
Billy belongs in a tree with these children.
Russians have hacked into several Government agencies. Rosemary was in the WAVES and was stationed up in Seattle analyzing Russian radio. I am the body of an octopus with eight tasks and operations. All the characters in my novels are coming into play. I have Rena Easton inspiring two characters. ‘The Royal Janitor’ has never been more alive. I will not see what she is up to in the Anchor beer plant. Last night I posted about my idea for the Black Turnverein because I fear for the safety of black people as Trump stirs up his loyal militias.

Greg PrescoEd and Melvin.. I thank you again for trying to help me see my parents at the Naval cemetery. I took a big chance in posting this on a Black Panther group that unfriended me. Hence, we hear Republicans talking about secession and a coup. My kin got off ships from Germany, signed a contract, were given uniforms and rifles….then marched to Georgia. At the point of a rifle, we made traitors sign a Iron Clad oath, then put black men in office. A elected Democrat has asked Pelosi not to seat the Republicans who signed on to that Texas treachery. Knowing who your enemy is, is hard for some alleged lovers of freedom, who did not, and still do not see, any man in chains – as their brother – a fellow Lover of Liberty! And that – is the name of that tune! https://rosamondpress.com/2020/07/17/black-turnverein/
In one of the incidents, videos posted on Twitter show a group of people identified as Proud Boys marching with a Black Lives Matter banner held above their heads, then cheering as it is set on fire while chanting “f— antifa.”
The banner was taken from Asbury United Methodist Church, one of the oldest Black churches in the city. Asbury United has stood at the corner of 11th and K streets NW since 1836.
“Last night demonstrators who were part of the MAGA gatherings tore down our Black Lives Matter sign and literally burned it in the street,” the Rev. Ianther M. Mills, the church’s senior pastor, said in a statement. “It pained me especially to see our name, Asbury, in flames. For me it was reminiscent of cross burnings.”
Turmoil at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging continued Tuesday with the resignation of Mary McEachron, the institute’s chief administrative officer and general counsel.
The Buck Institute’s president and CEO, Brian Kennedy, resigned on Friday. Kennedy hasn’t commented on his resignation, but former Marin supervisor Gary Giacomini, who played a key role in the formation of the institute and has contacts within the organization, has said Kennedy was forced out because he opposed a possible merger or alliance with Gladstone Institutes, based in San Francisco.
In response to questions from the Independent Journal, Larry Rosenberger, chairman of the Buck Institute’s board of trustees, said Friday that it had been determined that an alliance with Gladstone “would not be mutually beneficial at this time.”
Kennedy was replaced by Edward Lanphier, a member of the Buck Institute’s board since 2012.
Although she wouldn’t comment on the circumstances of her departure, McEachron sent an email to the Buck Institute faculty.
In the email, McEachron wrote, “To his credit, Edward Lanphier offered me the opportunity to remain at Buck, albeit with conditions upon which he had every right to insist. To my credit, I cannot accept those conditions while remaining true to my conscience.”
McEachron concluded her email with, “Please know that, having founded the Buck Institute, my passion for its mission continues unabated. I will continue to do everything I can to preserve and further that mission.”
McEachron noted that in the future she could be contacted at SavetheBuck@hughes.net.
Giacomini, a lawyer who once worked with McEachron at the San Francisco law firm Hanson Bridgett, said Lanphier offered her the chance to remain with the institute conditioned on her silence and support in the likely event of an attempt to revive the Gladstone merger.
According to institute insiders who requested anonymity, some faculty members expressed unease about a few of the associations made during this period.
Two men added to the institute’s board of trustees in particular raised concerns: Fouad Makhzoumi, a Lebanese native and CEO of Future Group, who joined the board in 2014; and Rubar Sandi, chairman of the Sandi Group, who joined the board in 2015. Sandi is an Iraqi from a wealthy Kurdish family who immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s.
The Sandi Group’s work with Texas-based DynCorp has been investigated by the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction, according to David Phinney, a Washington, D.C.-based freelance reporter whose work includes a series on contractors and private military companies working in Iraq.
Phinney said the Sandi Group teamed with DynCorp on a massive multi-year U.S. State Department contract to train more than 100,000 Iraqi police officers, as well as dozens of other projects.
CNN reported in 2007 that the “State Department had been unable to account for most of $1.2 billion in funding that it gave to DynCorp International to train Iraqi police.”
Phinney said the matter has never been fully resolved.
“There is a DynCorp fraud case that has been reintroduced after a five-year hiatus that involves Sandi,” Phinney said in an interview.
According to The Guardian newspaper, Makhzoumi “was involved in the scandal which brought down the disgraced Conservative politician Jonathan Aitken.”
Aitken served as Minister of State for Defense Procurement under former Conservative British Prime Minister John Major.
The Guardian reported that Makhzoumi “recruited Aitken to the board of one of his companies in the 1980s. But Aitken failed to declare the directorship and, as the arms sales minister, promoted a military equipment deal for his friend in the 1990s.”
But McEachron, who spoke to the Independent Journal soon after her resignation, said, “I don’t know anything like that about him. He runs the largest charity in Lebanon. To my knowledge, there was never any controversy about any members of the board.”
In May 2014, the Buck Advisory Council awarded Makhzoumi’s wife, May, its Global Humanitarian Award. The council was created in 2010 in an effort to cultivate international donors. The award came a year after May Makhzoumi made headlines when it became known that she had contributed over 1 million British pounds to Britain’s Conservative Party since 2010.
Saudi honor scuttled
Buck insiders said the faculty balked when Kennedy floated the idea of naming a school of geroscience at the institute after King Fahd of Saudi Arabia in hopes of securing a $5 million donation. That idea was eventually abandoned.
Insiders also said that Sandi and Jostein Eikeland, a Norwegian-born entrepreneur, each pledged $5 million to the institute, but Sandi reneged on his pledge and Eikeland ultimately limited his contribution to $1 million.

October 21, 2015
John Mauldin and I spent the day at “the Buck” earlier this week at the invitation of Brian K. Kennedy, Ph.D., the president and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. The Buck is the world’s first major scientific research institution dedicated to solving the problems of aging. This includes, to make things clear, the development of anti-aging biotechnologies. Founded in 1999, the institute currently employs about 140 Ph.D.s as well as more than 100 technicians and support staff in 22 labs dedicated to different challenges.
We spoke at length with Kennedy, who has run the Buck Institute for five years, but were also shown the facility designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei, who came out of retirement due to his support for the institute’s mission.
Expecting a tour led by an intern or public relations person, I was surprised and flattered that Mary McEachron, the chief administrative officer and general counsel of the institute, acted as guide and historian. Without McEachron, the Buck Institute might not exist today. She was the attorney most responsible for defending the will of Beryl Hamilton Buck, who wanted to fund an anti-aging institute in northern Marin County, California. The San Francisco Foundation sued to break the Buck trust, arguing that the money should be spent elsewhere because Marin County is one of the wealthier counties in America.
In a court battle that spanned years, McEachron successfully argued that the scientific mission of the Buck Institute—to solve the problems of aging—would benefit not only San Francisco but the rest of the world as well. I find it somewhat remarkable that anyone could even argue with that premise, but it was a somewhat different world in the ‘80s when the suit was in court. In those days, the notion that science might be able add a decade or two of healthy years to our lives was pure science fiction.
Mr Makhzoumi forged business links in the 1980s with the Conservative MP Jonathan Aitken, who went on to become Defence Minister. In 1992 the two men negotiated an Anglo-Lebanese arms deal, including the sale of 3,000 second-hand rifles. Mr Aitken quit the Government in 1995 to fight a series of allegations about his business interests – including the accusation that he failed to declare his ties to Mr Makhzoumi – and was jailed for perjury four years later.
Step 2 can be uncomfortable for some people because it seems to encourage alcoholics to believe in God. Alcoholics who don’t have religious belief or who aren’t comfortable with the concept of God sometimes balk at this step. However, Step 2 isn’t really about God – it’s about finding something outside of yourself to inspire you and help you remain sober. Many alcoholics, religious or not, have found this step useful. Here’s some ways you can use Step 2 to help you stop drinking:
A Tory spokeswoman said: “Mrs Makhzoumi donated to the party in a personal capacity as a Conservative supporter as she has done in the past. All donations accepted by the Conservative Party are fully permissible and declared to the Electoral Commission.”
But the Labour MP Tom Watson said: “The more that is revealed about the Conservative Party’s mysterious donors, the more it becomes clear that David Cameron and his mates are the same old Tories. There are uncomfortable questions for David Cameron to answer, echoing the dark days of 1990s’ Tory sleaze.”
The close relationship between the new Government and major arms and aerospace companies such as BAE Systems, Qinetiq and Thales was highlighted this week during Mr Cameron’s tour of the Middle East. The Prime Minister has been accompanied on the trip by representatives of eight defence firms on his four-day visit to the region.
At the same time, Defence Minister Gerald Howarth and 50 British companies were flying the flag at an arms export show in the United Arab Emirates, which was attended by Libyan generals.
Yesterday it emerged that Britain had approved the export of sniper rifles to Libya.
An export licence was granted to let “a small quantity” of the long-range weapons be shipped out in November for exhibition or testing. Four licences were approved for the rifles, along with assault rifles and semi-automatic handguns, with cleaning kits. They were signed off by officials in the Department for Business but it is not known whether ministers were involved in the decision.
The Specter of Overpopulation
Despite the fact that life expectancy at the time was increasing about a month per year, nobody expected the development of real exponential improvements in health spans before the arrival of commuter jetpacks and robotic maids. Additionally, the ‘80s were a time of fear spread by scientists from leading universities and the UN, of looming catastrophe caused by overpopulation and resource depletion.
Many believed that significantly longer lives, if they ever arrived, would only hasten doomsday.
Now, of course, we know that fertility rates were already headed downward in the ‘80s, apparently a side effect of longer lives and higher living standards. Today, global birthrates are well below replacement rate and still falling. Instead of peak oil, we’ve hit peak babies as well as peak workers.
To the extent that world population is still increasing, it’s only because life spans are increasing quite rapidly, particularly in formerly undeveloped parts of the world. People aren’t dying as soon as they used to, so total population figures will grow for a while before turning downward.
We now face a real threat in the 21st century, unlike so many past Chicken Little panics. It is aging.
The Solution: Increasing Health Spans
Though every one of us faces this problem individually, the real issue is the societal and economic impact of an increasingly older population, leading to exponentially growing healthcare and retirement costs due to age-related diseases.
These age-related diseases are forcing retirements and draining treasuries worldwide. The US government already is borrowing 30 cents of every dollar it spends, which happens to be almost the exact percentage of the budget that flows to the aged in the form of Social Security, Medicare, and other transfer payments. The trends that have created this problem, however, are accelerating as the population of transfer payment recipients/beneficiaries gets bigger due to increased life spans. At the same time, the number of younger contributors/payers into the system is shrinking along with birth rates.
This is why life extension in the narrowly defined sense is not the answer. In fact, it is in many ways the problem. Tacking extra years onto the end of life for a person who is already ailing and feeble only increases costs and suffering. The only real solution is anti-aging biotechnologies that will extend health spans and careers so that each generation can pay its own way instead of sending the bill to the next.
Part of the reason I enjoyed visiting Brian Kennedy and the Buck so much was that I was surrounded by so many brilliant people who not only understand how grave this threat is to our system, but who also understand that it is solvable. Kennedy himself spends a considerable part of his time explaining the economics of aging to the public.
In the last four or five years, he told us, the community of scientists who research aging has become convinced that we can significantly increase health spans. The consensus among top researchers is that we have the ability to delay the processes that cause age-related diseases. Meanwhile, progress educating the public about this good news is slower, but it is happening.
For obvious humanitarian reasons, I want everybody to understand right now that our most serious problems are solvable. As a financial analyst, however, I realize that this disconnect between reality and public perception is the basis for the biggest financial opportunities of our era.
Just as energy can be generated from two systems with different thermal or charge states, transformational investors can profit from the investment communities’ failure to grasp these enormous but unrecognized forces. Yes, yes, I’m a capitalist… but the people who fund the technologies that solve our biggest problems more than deserve to be rewarded.
Obstacles to Progress
Kennedy agrees that society will eventually recognize that anti-aging therapeutics are necessary. This is because the problems of aging will worsen until an irate public forces us to solve them. Right now, however, our institutions are decades behind the science.
Kennedy pointed out, for example, that NIH funding for scientific research has flatlined and the odds of getting grant money for truly important research have fallen badly. Ironically, this is largely due to budgetary pressures created by societal aging that are straining budgets around the world.
Lest you decide that increasing the NIH budget is the solution, Kennedy cites calculations that less than 1% of NIH grants support research into the aging pathways. I love pure science as much as anybody, but we might do better prioritizing research funding for the problems that threaten our health, economy, and our children’s future.
Another enormous problem is that the FDA’s approval processes were created before the biotech revolution gave us insight into the molecular pathways and mechanisms targeted by drug candidates. As a result, they are unnecessarily slow and expensive.
This is tragic because, as Kennedy points out, it will be easier to target aging than to reverse the diseases caused by aging. It’s also much, much cheaper.
The benefits of anti-aging therapies are twofold. Not only are they far less expensive than disease treatments, they keep people healthier longer so they are able to move out of the recipient column into the contributor column. So the balance sheet is improved from both sides.
A primary focus of the Buck Institute has been research into rapamycin, the antifungal compound produced by bacteria found on Easter Island. Kennedy pointed out that the ability to impart life- and health-extending benefits—even late in life—has come as a surprise even to the research community. This makes sense because people tend to assume that aging irreversibly damages cells and cellular processes. If this were the case, it would mean that anti-aging interventions late in life would provide little benefit to animals, including humans.
That isn’t the case, though. Diseases do not seem to be caused by physical damage to the body brought about by aging, as was previously believed. Rather, many of the complex genetic systems of the body are thrown out of whack as we age, causing impaired functionality that leads to disease. Therefore, a compound that restores biological systems to a healthier state will have a major impact on health spans for older as well as younger people.
In rodent studies, animals the equivalent of 65 human years old received rapamycin, resulting in major improvements in health as well as a 15% improvement in life spans. The videos of the mice treated with rapamycin compared to normal mice are striking in contrast. Somewhat greater benefits accrued if therapy began earlier, but the majority of the benefits from anti-aging therapies can be delivered rather late in life.
If this model holds for people (and I think it has to), it means 65-year-olds could experience major improvements in apparent age and increase their life expectancies from 80 to 92 via some form of rapamycin, which reduces the side effects that accompany the form of the molecule widely used to prevent organ transplant rejection. Even if it were only a 10-year increase in health and life spans, most of us would be willing to pay a great deal for that benefit—especially because it would cost much less than treating the diseases it prevents.
Though biogerontologists and demographers now understand this, most people do not. When I speak to older people about the anti-aging strategies that are being impeded by regulatory burdens, the typical attitude I see is that it’s already too late for them to benefit from these discoveries. This is entirely wrong. Even if you’re quite old, you could benefit enormously from these strategies.
Another common misperception that Kennedy pointed out to John and me is that anti-aging research is going to benefit only the very rich. Once he said this, I realized how often I had encountered this attitude. In fact, rapamycin, metformin, and several other extremely promising anti-aging candidates are not terribly expensive to manufacture.
The costs imposed by our regulatory system will raise prices somewhat, but anti-aging therapies are going to reduce healthcare costs so much, insurance companies will be happy to pay for them once they are approved. The real reason to support anti-aging efforts, Kennedy points out, is to avoid financial disaster.
Though Kennedy has focused a great deal on rapamycin, he has also studied metformin. He discussed efforts by his friend Dr. Nir Barzilai to get FDA approval for clinical trials that would demonstrate the life-extending benefits of this widely used diabetes drug.
Barzilai is director of the Institute for Aging Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for the Biology of Human Aging Research. If Barzilai is allowed to show in clinical trials that the markers of aging have been improved, it could open up the path for other compounds such as analogs of rapamycin, the NAD⁺ enhancers, and anatabine citrate to seek approval as anti-aging compounds.
The “Age” Age
This raises the obvious question about the various compounds with proven anti-aging effects in animals that are mirrored by biochemical improvements in humans. Kennedy suggested that, because they work on different pathways, these therapies could be synergistic. Besides variations of the rapamycin molecule and metformin, he volunteered that we could see these benefits from the compounds that restore mitochondrial function, which I’ve discussed here at length.
Kennedy also brought up Valter Longo’s fasting mimicking diet, which I’ve written about extensively and enthusiastically. Kennedy has collaborated with Longo on much of his research, and they’ve co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles. Kennedy’s work, not surprisingly, has appeared in top journals such as Cell, Nature, Science, Genes & Development, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS).
I think it’s incredibly meaningful that even the most careful scientists such as Brian Kennedy and the researchers who work at the Buck Institute now believe science has the ability to quickly extend health spans enough to solve our demographic and financial challenges. You’ve undoubtedly read or heard of an instance where somebody labels the current era with one description or another. “This is the age of (fill in the blank).” Kennedy gets it right, however, when he says, “This is the Age age.”
If you’d like to learn more about the change in scientific attitudes about aging and feel like spending a few dollars to do so, I recommend “Geroscience: Linking Aging to Chronic Disease” in the journal Cell.
The summary couldn’t be plainer: “Mammalian aging can be delayed with genetic, dietary, and pharmacologic approaches. Given that the elderly population is dramatically increasing and that aging is the greatest risk factor for a majority of chronic diseases driving both morbidity and mortality, it is critical to expand geroscience research directed at extending human healthspan.”
Note, by the way, that this article is co-authored by Kennedy’s friend Claudio Franceschi, who coined the term inflammaging. If you’ve been following my work, you know how much I admire Franceschi’s work.
If you’re interested in helping fund the Buck Institute’s work, you can learn more about it at this link. There’s a link to one of Kennedy’s TedX videos on the front page of the site, which is also available through YouTube.
Above is the coat of arms of the Syrian Kurds who honor the golden eagle.
I believe John the Baptist had all his followers take the Vow of the Nazarite before he cleansed them in the water. The Spirit of God he owned while in his mother’s womb, was passed on to those who took the vow – that enjoined them to God – DIRECTLY! I believe Gentiles were allowed to take the vow, because of Helena, who I, and others, have traced to the Kurds.
Even those who do not believe in God, or any religious deity, you are welcome to take The Vow of the Nazarite in order to connect you to Justice in the World. The followers of John Darby took over the Republican Party that was/is funded by Russian and other Devils.
The Kurds were not given a home, and thus it was impossible to fight on Normandy Beach – or any beach! There are prophesies about the Sojourner and the Wanderer. The New Nazarites will support the people of the world in finding a home on God’s Green Earth. I have friends with Cotes of Arms. May they be banners in support of the brave warriors who defeated pure evil.
Married women and young daughters took the vow. John’s mother, Samuel’s mother, and Samson’s mother took the vow. My requirement is, write on a piece of paper;
“I am a Nazarite and believe in Truth an Justice!”
This is your SWORD! These are your WORDS!
John ‘The Nazarite’
Laws of the nazirite
Halakha (Jewish law) has a rich tradition on the laws of the nazirite. These laws were first recorded in the Mishna, and in the Talmud in the tractate Nazir. These laws were later codified by Maimonides in the Mishneh Torah Hafla’ah, Nazir.
As a vow
All the laws of vows in general apply also to the nazirite vow. As with other vows, a father has the ability to annul the nazirite vow of his young daughter, and a husband has the ability to annul a vow by his wife, when they first hear about it (Numbers 30). Likewise, all of the laws related to intent and conditional vows apply also to nazirite vows.
Years ago I suggested Nazarite Queen Helena of Abiabene was the Sleeping Beauty Princess, Rosamond. I have found the remnant of the Nazarite church she founded in Iraq. The Church of the East has its roots in Adiabeni a place associated with the Magi – who followed a star!
ISIS has attacked the Church of the East and slaughtered members after spray-painting a N (for Nazarite) on their doors. My family history is being employed in regards to putting boots on the ground to fight ISIS. Benjamin Netanyahu just spoke on CNN, saying the U.S. should have left troops in Iraq. Why isn’t he insisting Turkey send tanks into Syria to crush ISIS?
Queen Helena and her Nazarite sons fought Rome for Zion, and lost. Zionist co-founded Israel. There is a Greater Battle coming, greater then all it’s divided parts.
It has taken me thousands of lonely hours to unearth that which has been buried. When all but one, deserted me, I knew the Truth was coming near.
Consider Mathew 27:53 and the saints that came from the tombs in Kidron Cedron) valley. Hermits and monks lived in some of these empty tombs. I suspect they were Nazarites who came out of seclusion and went into Jerusalem to deliver the final message. Judgment Day was nigh!
Come to Rose Mountain!
“Simon held the upper city, and the great walls as far as Cedron, and as much of the old wall as bent from Siloam to the east, and which went down to the palace of Monobazus, who was king of the Adiabeni, beyond Euphrates; he also held the fountain, and the Acra, which was no other than the lower city; he also held all that reached to the palace of queen Helena, the mother of Monobazus; but John held the temple, and the parts thereto adjoining, for a great way, as also Ophla, and the valley called “Valley of Cedron;”
The central point of reference for the Kidron Valley is its confluence of Jerusalem’s richest concentration of rock-hewn tombs. This area, located on the periphery of the village Silwan, was one of the main burial grounds of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period. Several of these tombs were also used later in time, either as burial or as shelters for hermits and monks of the large monastic communities, which inhabited the Kidron Valley. The ancient tombs in this area attracted the attention of ancient travelers, most notably Benjamin of Tudela.
Matthew 27:50-54 (NIV)
(50) And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
(51) At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.
(52) The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
(53) They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
(54) When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”
Years ago I suggested Nazarite Queen Helena of Abiabene was the Sleeping Beauty Princess, Rosamond. Her sarcophagus lies at rest under the pyramid of the Louvre, the place where Dan Brown’s Fairytale suggests Mary Magdalene, the wife of Jesus is interred. There is not name in the whole internet like that of my grandmother, Mary Magdalene Rosamond, whose granddaughter married a Benton. Jessie Benton and her husband, John Fremont, had Hungarian ex-patriots in their bodyguard, that fought against the Confederated slave masters of the new Roman empire whose false evangelical prophets have taken over Fremont’s party in order to take from the poor, the widow, and the elderly in order to give to the Imperial Billionaires of America.
The Roman swine who pretend to be wolves captured the beuatiful Menorah that Queen Helena gave as a gift to the Jewish people. My story ‘Capturing Beauty’ will bring the Light of God – home! I will overcome the world!
The Church of the East developed first in what was known as the Parthian Empire, and when that empire was overthrown by the Persians in the third century it continued its development under the Persian government. This was the region lying to the east of the Roman border, stretching as far as to India. The exact location of the Church’s first congregations cannot be established from the historical record, but it is thought that it began its most serious development in the region of Kh’dayab (Adiabene) in northern Mesopotamia, spreading from there in all directions throughout the empire.
It has been alleged that the Long-haired Kings of France were “Nazorites” who let their hair grow long like Sampson did. I suspect the Merovingian lineage came from Galatia. I suspect the Galatians joined Shimon bar Kochba’s Abolitionist Revolution against the Slave Owners of Rome. I believe ‘The Son of the Star’ bid all his followers to take the Vow of the Nazarite so they could be as strong as Sampson. Simon bid his Nazarite Warriors to uproot a tree to demonstrate their strength. I believe I am the embodiment of a Zorastrian Magi, and a King of the Parthians. I studied Astrology in Egypt where Jesus was taken as an infant so he could study the stars, and be a Son of a Star. This study began when he and his mother stood in the shadow of a great Obelisk.
Judaism in Adiabene survived the death of Izates and Helena. History indicates that the Jewish religion continued to play a part in the kingdom of Adiabene; non-royal Adiabenians converted. “The names of the Adiabenite [sic] Jews Jacob Hadyaba and Zuga (Zuwa) of Hadyab,”33 indicate a non-Hebrew origin and possible conversion to Judaism.
Mindful of the events which in her view were of a positive nature, Helena journeyed with her retinue to Jerusalem and the Great Temple to worship and offer thank-offerings while the throne in Arbela had been safeguarded. Queen Helena offered items of blessing including a special addition to the Kodesh, or Inner Sanctuary of the Great Temple:
The doorway of the Kodesh was 10 cubits wide and 20 cubits high. Over the doorway was a carving of a golden menorah donated by Queen Helena, a convert to Judaism. The morning service could not begin before sunrise. The Temple was surrounded by high walls, and it was not possible to see the rising sun, so priest had to be sent outside to see if it was time for the service to begin. After Queen Helena donated the Menorah, it was no longer necessary to send a priest outside the Temple. As the sun rose in the east it shone against the menorah and the reflected light was cast into the Azarah. The priests then knew that the morning service could begin.18
Kevin Brook cites that the Jewish kings of Adiabene were regularly involved in policy and military affairs. In 61 CE, Monobazus II, the king who Izates meant to succeed him, sent troops to Armenia to try to thwart an invasion of Adiabene. Two years later, he was in attendance at a peace settlement between Parthia and Rome. During the war of Judea against the Roman Empire (66-70 CE), the Adiabenian royal family supported the Judean side.34
According to Paul E. Kahle, there were many Jews in the city of Arbela even after the establishment of bishops and the spread of Christianity in Adiabene.35
Helena of Adiabene (Hebrew: הלני המלכה) was queen of Adiabene and wife of Monobaz I. With her husband she was the mother of Izates II and Monobaz II. She died about 56 CE. The names of her family members and the fact that she was her husband’s sister indicate an Iranic, Zoroastrian or Magian origin. Helena became a convert to Judaism about the year 30 CE.
Magi (/ˈmeɪdʒaɪ/; Latin plural of magus; Ancient Greek: μάγος magos; Old Persian: ?ﾐﾎﾦ?ﾐﾏﾁ maguš, Persian: مُغ mogh; English singular magian, mage, magus, magusian, magusaean; Kurdish: manji) is a term, used since at least the 6th century BC, to denote followers of Zoroastrianism or Zoroaster. The earliest known usage of the word Magi is in the trilingual inscription written by Darius the Great, known as the Behistun Inscription.
Pervasive throughout the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Asia until late antiquity and beyond, mágos, “Magian” or “magician,” was influenced by (and eventually displaced) Greek goēs (γόης), the older word for a practitioner of magic, to include astrology, alchemy and other forms of esoteric knowledge. This association was in turn the product of the Hellenistic fascination for (Pseudo )Zoroaster, who was perceived by the Greeks to be the “Chaldean” “founder” of the Magi and “inventor” of both astrology and magic. Among the skeptical thinkers of the period, the term ‘magian’ acquired a negative connotation and was associated with tricksters and conjurers. This pejorative meaning survives in the words “magic” and “magician“.
