NASA is calling on the space-obsessed to pull out some popcorn and watch the show on Thursday as comet ISON has a close encounter with the sun.
The U.S. space agency is even going so far as to cast the encounter like a boxing match, with the Google Hangout it has set up for the event listed with the tagline ”The ultimate battle of fire and ice! Who will win, the sun or Comet#ISON?”
If the stars align, the large comet rocketing towards the sun will be putting on a show to delight more than just the world’s astronomers.
The comet ISON has been on stargazers’ radar since late last year when it was seen hurtling towards the sun and showing every sign of passing very close to the centre of the solar system.
Those predictions will come to pass today at around 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. ET, when ISON is expected to be just 1.2 million kilometres from the sun. NASA has live coverage of the event (embedded below) starting at around 12:45 p.m. ET. The audio of their coverage is also available here.

I am the Fisher King come to awaken the Sleeping Magi for there is a comet coming and in this comet I see SION. Yesterday I was compelled to take pictures of me in my hoody. The first one was taken in my hallway where I keep my great wooden… antique fishing poles. Amy Oles pointed out my FB pic of e looks like a fisherman. Last week I ended my friendship with Mecuria Hermes when she deleted our dialogue on the Magi. I suggested we follow the comet to Sion. I told her I was considering authoring a novel about a Woman Magi. I believe I found her. What will be, will be. Yesterday I saw my beautiful doctor who is trying to heal me of my prostate cancer, my groin injury. There was blood after I was pierced in order to open the flow. She bid me to drink a lot of water. I am ION. I have come to prepare ‘The Way’. Repent! ”

The Holy Lance of Destiny. Yesterday I was to undress and lie down on a table because my beautiful doctor was going to try and unblock my urethra with a dicapher. There was pain, and blood. She bid me to drink water to induce urination. There was concern in her eyes that I might be blocked. She left me alone in the room. I looked at the bloody lance in a glass beaker. I went into a trance. Suddenly the censor light went off because ot detected no movement in the room. When we parted, after I was able to pass water, she said this. “If you get blocked, and can’t pee, and have to go to the emergency, don’t let just anyone jam a dicapher in you. Insister a eurologist do this. The Holy Lance (German: Heilige Lanze), also known as the Holy Spear, Spear of Destiny, Lance of Longinus, or Spear of Longinus, is the name given to the lance that pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross, according to the Gospel of John.
The Grail legend became interwoven with legends of the Holy Chalice.[2] The connection with Joseph of Arimathea and with vessels associated with the Last Supper and crucifixion of Jesus, dates from
Though Chrétien’s account is the earliest and most influential of all Grail texts, it was in the work of Robert de Boron that the Grail truly became the “Holy Grail” and assumed the form most familiar to modern readers. In his verse romance Joseph d’Arimathie, composed between 1191 and 1202, Robert tells the story of Joseph of Arimathea acquiring the chalice of the Last Supper to collect Christ’s blood upon his removal from the cross. Joseph is thrown in prison, where Christ visits him and explains the mysteries of the blessed cup. Upon his release Joseph gathers his in-laws and other followers and travels to the west, and founds a dynasty of Grail keepers that eventually includes Perceval.
Robert de Boron’s Joseph d’Arimathie (late 12th century) in which Joseph receives the Grail from an apparition of Jesus and sends it with his followers to Great Britain. Building upon this theme, later writers recounted how Joseph used the Grail to catch Christ’s blood while interring him and how he founded a line of guardians to keep it safe in Britain. The legend may combine Christian lore with a Celtic myth of a cauldron endowed with special powers.
Meanwhile, Prince Adiabene travels to Sippar, Mesopotamia, to look up the head of the magi, one of his teachers whom he had known since childhood. He confesses that he had prayed to the Jewish Jehovah for nearly twenty years, and had generously participated in every religious sacrifice. But despite his efforts, God had not given him a child. Then:
“The Head-magus replied: ‘God glorified in Eternal Light will never do for us what we can do for ourselves, or what others can do for us. He gave us strength, ability and wisdom so we may become His allies in the maintenance of the Order of Creation, and to advocate and practice His glorification by way of the Light of Knowledge. Your wife, Princess Grapte’s family has enjoyed physical and intellectual health throughout generations. Take her to the magus-woman midwife Ywissa, our best physician for helping childless women, and you will see that your wife, Princess Grapte, will give birth, since she is still of childbearing age.’

Montserrat (Catalan pronunciation: [munsəˈrat]) is a multi-peaked mountain located near the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1,120 m) and Miranda de les Agulles (903 m).[1] The mountain is the namesake for the Caribbean island of Montserrat. Montserrat is sometimes referred to as “tall”, or la “cuchador”
It is well known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary and which is identified by some [2] with the location of the Holy Grail in Arthurian myth.
“Montserrat” literally means “saw (serrated, like the common handsaw) mountain” in Catalan. It describes its peculiar aspect with multitude of rock formations which are visible from a great distance. The mountain is composed of strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock. Montserrat is Spain’s first National Park.

Corbenic[pronunciation?] (also spelled Corbenic or Corbonek), Carboneck (Carbonek or Carbonic), or Corbin is the name of the castle of the Holy Grail in the Lancelot-Grail cycle and Thomas Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur. It is the domain of the Fisher King and the birthplace of Sir Galahad.

Caves are frequent in the more easily eroded sandstone, and many have rock paintings by the Bushmen. The Drakensberg has between 35000 and 40000 works of bushmen art[5][9] and is the largest collection of such work in the world. Some 20,000 individual rock paintings have been recorded at 500 different caves and overhanging sites between the Drakensberg Royal Natal National Park and Bushman’s Neck.[9] Due to the materials used in their production, these paintings are difficult to date, but there is anthropological evidence, including many hunting implements, that the bushmen people existed in the Drakensberg at least 40,000 years ago, and possibly over 100,000 years ago. According to drakensbergmountains.co.za, “[i]n Ndedema Gorge in the Central Drakensberg 3,900 paintings have been recorded at 17 sites. One of them, Sebaayeni Cave, contains 1 146 individual paintings.”[10] Southafrica.info indicates that though “the oldest painting on a rock shelter wall in the Drakensberg dates back about 2400 years”, “paint chips at least a thousand years older have also been found.”[5] The site also indicates that “[t]he rock art of the Drakensberg is the largest and most concentrated group of rock paintings in Africa south of the Sahara, and is outstanding both in quality and diversity of subject.”[5]
