I began filling out a form to get a grant to preserve the Rosamond Brand. Now that my niece, Shannon Rosamond, and I, are exchanging ideas, we can apply for a grant from the Buck Foundation. Perhaps a Trust can be formed to study Vicki’s condition, that remains undiagnosed.
How ironic my portrait of Christine and myself, is. I left the faces blank and dedicated that space to my anonymous brother and sister’s in AA. I took Vicki to an AA meeting in 1989, and she never had another drink. I did not know that Vicki was fading away, and was not able to recognize those who love her.

The Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato is one of the world’s foremost centers for research into the diseases of aging, and it conducts groundbreaking research into finding ways for people to live longer in good health. It was originally a component program of the Marin Community Foundation but is now independent and receives most of its income from federal grants. “It had to go through regulatory changes to spin off into a great subsidiary to stand on its own,” says MCF President/CEO Dr. Thomas Peters. “We’ll continue the Buck Trust grants, but it’s now structurally independent.”

Four curated art shows per year make the Marin Community Foundation’s offices into a veritable gallery. The current show, “Black Artists on Art,” features the works of more than 50 African American artists from three generations, including Dr. Samella Lewis, America’s leading historian and collector of black fine art. The exhibit is open to the public, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until September 25, 2015, at 5 Hamilton Landing, Suite 200, Novato.
A bipartisan pair of senators is pressing President Trump to develop a strategy for protecting Kurdish forces once the U.S. military withdraws from Syria.
Sens. Diane Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) sent a letter to Trump on Thursday urging him to prevent armed conflict between Kurdish forces and Turkey.
“Abandoning friends and doing nothing to prevent their slaughter would undermine the global coalition to defeat ISIS and jeopardize our nation’s honor,” the senators wrote.

Defending, and Promoting the Buck Foundation
I am in a extraordinary position of promoting the Buck Foundation is a stellar manner. I have traced the first Christian church made up of Nazarites, to the Kurds.

The bodyguards Rubar assigned to me were Kurdish from the Northern parts of Iraq. Whenever a shot was heard, or a bomb exploded nearby, I would find myself being covered by my bodyguards who would always place their bodies in the way of any harm that may come to me. These guys were dedicated and faithful to the man who had provided them their sustenance, Rubar Sandi. He told them to keep me safe. They did.
I admire Rubar and I continue to call him friend. I also became very close friends with his brother Bayar. I consider these men as my own family members right to this day.
Even after everything seemed to be going wrong in Iraq, Rubar Sandi has kept his presence known in Iraq and continues to employ as many Iraqis as he effectively can and assist in the development of business opportunities and even programs to address women’s issues. He is a great American and humanitarian who greatly loves the place he was born and the people who live there.
