Fleet Week On The Willamette

4 groups approach Eugene with plans for old EWEB steam plant building ...

Victoria Bond felt serene for the first time in a year. She found time to create another work of art in her studio at The Bristish Art Department. As she chipped away at her block of marble, she looked over at her new friend, John Presco, working on his rendering of the January 6th. storming of his Nation’s Capitol. A small cherry-picker was brought in to assist Mr. Presco in completing his fiteen by twenty foot masterpiece that he planned to present to Presdient Bidn when he wins another twem.

It was Fleet Weeks in New York Harbor.

STOP THE PRESSES!

Sn hour after I wrote the text above, I turned on the news and saw – THIS FLAG! I went into Dream Time when I saw the two green flags at our Capitol. They are like columns. Seven months ago I dreamed I was atop such a tree. Victoria had dreams of Ghost Ships. Russia and British ships can not sail. They may be scrapped!

ut now the New York Times is reporting that an even more provocative flag was seen flying at the Alito’s vacation home on the New Jersey Shore last year. The Alito home on Long Beach Island was photographed flying the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, also known as the Pine Tree Flag, during the summer months of 2023.

That flag was originally flown during the American Revolution. It carries a quote from the Enlightenment philosopher John Locke, who argued that when a just people are faced with injustice in the political realm, and have exhausted all avenues for redress, that they can move to violence – and God will judge the righteousness of their action. “Where there lies no appeal on Earth,” the philosopher wrote, “they have just cause to make their appeal to heaven.”

This flag was laregly a relic of history until it was revived by a far-right religious leader named Dutch Sheets, who has transformed the flag into a banner for Christian nationalists. The pine tree on the flag was originally a symbol of protest for British exploitation of the colonies; the monarchy exported the tallest and truest pine trees from New England for the masts on British navy ships. But in Sheets’ appropriation, the tree now is said to symbolize God’s covenant with Abraham – and with America as a supposedly divinely chartered nation.

Last night I found myself on a wooden platform being lifted to the top of a great tree that I realize was a Cedar of Lebanon. I was to raise a flag denoting the New Kingdom that I am both the King and Prophet of. At the zenith, I am trying to see the flag, and what symbols are on it. Before I awoke, I planted what looked like a large WASP NEST at the top of the tree. This morning at 5:22 I wonder if it was the Mormon Beehive. Then I heard……

“And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.”

I believe Admiral Ian Easton, and Sea Lord, Caspar John, have been sending Lara and I messages.

“Raise the Royal Ghost Fleet!”

Just before Victoria Bond awoke from her naval dream, she heard a woman’s voice come to her like the wind from over the horizon.

“Save Albion from her enemies, Britannia!”

Britain’s six Type 45 destroyers, described as the backbone of the Royal Navy, spent 80 per cent of last year in dock.

The ships, costing £1billion each, need a multi-million pound refit after repeatedly breaking down in the Persian Gulf. But the work is not due to start until 2020.

Two of the cutting-edge warships, HMS Dauntless and HMS Defender, did not go to sea at all during 2017 – which had been hailed by officials and ministers as ‘the year of the Navy’.

All six warships, which entered service from 2008, were made with an engine system which cuts out in warm seas, leaving sailors stranded for hours in total darkness.

Albion (Ancient Greek: Ἀλβιών) is the oldest known name of the island of Great Britain. Today, it is still sometimes used poetically to refer to the island. The name for Scotland in the Celtic languages is related to Albion: Alba in Scottish GaelicAlbain (genitive Alban) in IrishNalbin in Manx and Alban in WelshCornish, and Breton. These names were later Latinised as Albania and Anglicised as Albany, which were once alternative names for Scotland.

The Royal Navy’s Aircraft Carrier Nightmare Is Getting Worse

Earlier this year, there were reports that the UK’s Royal Navy might be forced to sell one of its Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers due to the high operating costs – not that it would likely find any eager buyers considering that both the flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales have been sidelined due to issues with the propulsion systems.

-Despite significant investments in modernizing its military, Russia continues to maintain this outdated vessel, raising questions about its naval strategy.

-While some experts see the Kuznetsov as a symbol of Russia’s decline, it’s argued that Russia’s real strength lies in its land forces and submarine fleet.

Fleet Week is once again returning to the West Side. New York’s piers, harbors and sidewalks will be awash with an ocean of service members, here to honor the legacy of the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. After brushing up on how to distinguish service members by their uniforms, join the celebrations in Hell’s Kitchen — home to the historic USS Intrepid and many of the city’s Fleet Week events.

“Fleet Week is about celebrating those who serve and recognizing the unyielding strength of our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard team,” said Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Rear Adm Wesley McCall. “As we come together to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during their service, we are reminded of the diverse and inclusive fighting force that is currently serving to protect national security and preserve our way of life. Our service members are excited for the opportunity to engage with the community and create lasting connections with the people of New York during this time-honored tradition.”

Nearly 400 Pro-Israel Harvard Affiliates Sign Letter Urging ‘Significant Consequences’ for Protesters

Nearly 400 pro-Israel Harvard alumni and affiliates signed an open letter to interim Harvard President Alan M. Garber ’76 condemning “the alarming escalation of antisemitism” on campus during the pro-Palestine encampment in Harvard Yard.

The letter, sent Tuesday night, comes after the Faculty of Arts and Sciences voted Monday to add 13 College seniors back to the list of degrees recommended for conferral after they were suspended or placed on probation by the Harvard College Administrative Board over their participation in the encampment.

The FAS’ move, which awaits approval from Harvard’s governing bodies, effectively sidestepped the Ad Board. The sanctions, handed down just days before Harvard’s Commencement ceremonies, were widely criticized by both faculty and students.

But the authors of Tuesday’s letter wrote that Harvard should levy “significant consequences for the leaders of the encampment, a strong condemnation of antisemitism, and an end to discrimination against the pro-Israel community.”

The letter singled out faculty who participated in the encampment or assisted protesters, arguing that their presence “created an unsafe learning environment for many Jews and Israelis.”

It also called on University leadership to issue a statement “condemning all forms of antisemitism, especially HOOP and the encampers” — referring to Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine, the unrecognized coalition of student groups that organized the 20-day demonstration.

University spokesperson Jonathan L. Swain did not immediately comment on the letter.

The letter also called out Garber’s agreement with HOOP to end the protest. It specifically referenced Garber’s decision to allow HOOP to meet with a member of the Harvard Corporation — the University’s top governing body — to discuss the endowment and argued that pro-Israel Harvard affiliates should be allowed the same access to administrators.

“No such meeting has been offered to the pro-Israel community, which has consistently abided by Harvard protocol and the laws of Massachusetts,” the letter read.
