Giuliani has a tag-team partner as the Republican Religion launched it Crusade against the Democrats and the President of the United States. Benjamin Nutty Tutu is waiting in the wings of Congress for the 911 Mayor to tag him, and in he dance to speak about how much American Fighting Men love the Jews because it is the Patriotic and Holy thing to do – if you are a Real American who loves Jesus the Jew – which apparently our President does not. Obama love Reverend Wright who said; “God damn America.”

I heard Benjamin spends $64,000 dollars a year on his make-up and hair. I think he should be forced to wear a tutu as he does another swan dance for dollars and arms.

Giuliani defended the Crusades after Obama allegedly attacked them. The 911 Mayor claims other American Leaders praised the Crusaders, it coming naturally to them, because they were not raised like our President was raised – in the Black Ghetto – where ‘The Haters’ dwell. In doing my genealogy, and looking at the name Rougemont, I found Knights Templar with this name. I would like to brag on them, but the de Rougemonts led the Fourth Crusade against fellow Christians.

Rational world leaders are saying ISIS is distorting Muslim teaching in order to rob, butcher, and rape with impunity. The Republican Crusaders altered real history in order to launch a crusade against Iraq, and the Democratic Party. Not able to win their crusade, or, do anything about ISIS, the Republican Church is going after soft targets, fellow Americans, who are being demonized so they can be declared fair game. I will do all I can to stop these Anti-American Crusaders who hate Freedom and THE TRUTH! You can not have freedom without truth.

We could get worked up about Bill O’Reilly’s talk of a holy war. Or not. The Religious Right has been fighting a holy war against all of us for decades now. Muslims are a relatively recent addition to their list of enemies.

Think about it: the “culture war” is just a euphemism for holy war. This push for so-called “religious freedom” is actually a holy war on women, where one group tries to force its religious doctrines on everyone else.

Responding with horror to the execution of Hus, the people of Bohemia moved even more rapidly away from Papal teachings, spurring an announced crusade against them. Pope Martin V issued a Papal bull that all supporters of reformers like Hus and Wycliffe be slaughtered. The crusaders lost, as did the second and third crusades that followed. A century later, as much as ninety percent of the Czech Crown lands still followed Hussite teachings.

He then alluded to the president’s comments during this year’s National Prayer Breakfast, in which Obama noted how faith could be “twisted and distorted, used as a wedge, or worse sometimes as a weapon”. Obama used the Crusades as an example alongside religious justifications for slavery and the actions of Islamic State militants, which the president called a “death cult” that was “betraying” Islam.

Giuliani felt Obama did injustice to Christianity, however, saying he was “incapable” of appropriately condemning “a part of Islam that’s sick”.

He then said he felt the crusades many not have been “wrong”.

“You criticize Christianity for the part of Christianity that is wrong. I’m not sure how wrong the Crusades are. The Crusades were kind of an equal battle between two groups of barbarians. The Muslims and the crusading barbarians. What the hell? What’s wrong with this man that he can’t stand up and say there’s a part of Islam that’s sick?”

Giuliani has recently blamed Obama for “four months of propaganda” against the police, and last week said that Obama is not “a man who fights for his people”. During his brief 2008 presidential campaign, Giuliani himself was criticized for not serving in the Vietnam war.

When O’Reilly said on Tuesday, “The holy war is here,” he was right though. The Religious Right’s holy war has been with us and building since 1964 when they laid the groundwork for taking over the Republican Party.

On Wednesday, Bill O’Reilly doubled down on his holy war shtick and proved his clown car bona fides by proclaiming, “The civilized world needs to come together to eliminate the threat from the Earth. And if the politicians won’t do it, the clergy must lead the way.”

Nothing new here. Again, the clergy have been leading the way for decades in the culture war and now in calls for “religious freedom.” They’ll just be turning their attention from our women and children and the poor to going after specifically Muslim women, children, and poor.

He even clenched his fists to show he was serious. Leave it to Bill O’Reilly to respond to something sane from President Obama with something insane. Everything Fox News encapsulated in a single moment:

The holy war begins…. The holy war is here. And unfortunately it seems the President of United States will be the last one to acknowledge it…. President Obama needs to lead – needs to lead the world in this holy war.

Presumably, while we are waiting for ISIL to bow down to Jesus.

O’Reilly doesn’t explain how a man his network insists is a Muslim terrorist sympathizer is supposed to do this, but the less thinking the better, as far as O’Reilly is concerned.

Speaking of a lack of thinking, Monica Crowley, of course, was ecstatic: “I think your call tonight is a very important move. I think it’s long overdue. I give you kudos. I also give you kudos for using the phrase ‘holy war.”

Yes, because President George W. Bush’s holy war against Iraq worked so well. By all means, let’s have a redux. That’s what gave us ISIL in the first place.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes immediately pointed out, “That sort of rhetoric is, of course, exactly what ISIS wants.”

If this is a holy war, they aren’t some murderous cult or some fringe Sunni militia. No, if it’s a holy war, then they are the representatives of Islam, which is why the President at today’s summit on violent extremism was so careful not to cast the fight on those terms.

Sure it gives the Religious Right the opportunity to cast the United States as a defender of Christianity, but it will make ISIL the champion of Islam, as Hayes made clear:

Can you imagine anything ISIS wants more than a Christian-identified army lining up from Christendom against them?” Hayes asked. “It only feeds their claim that they represent Islam and a holy war against the rest, a narrative that helps recruitment and radicalization, and gives oxygen to the very fire we are trying to snuff out.
