The King of Xmas

“In 1324, with the marriage of Jeanne de Ferrette and Albert II of Habsburg, the county goes to the house of Austria, who gave him many privileges exclusive flow of salt for the whole lordship had over 30 villages (1441), right to appoint magistrates, free of all tolls, the right to hold fairs (including that of Saint Nicolas granted in 1491 by Maximilian 1, and which still exists), Ferrette became the residence of the bailiff lord.”

Pat Robertson says Atheists want Christians to be unhappy, and thus, they are trying to steal Christmas. Pat preys the Tribulation will come so a billion Atheists will experience horrible deaths. Only then will Jesus come and rule over his joyous ones (happy now that ahteists got what’s coming to them) as Rex Mundi ‘King of the World’.

Many political pundits are saying Democrats won the Culture War. Perhaps we Liberals should play with the idea of having a King of America to rule over us, if only for one day a year? I suggest we anoint a King of Xmas, a living person to reign alongside the mythical being, Saint Nicolas. It’s time to apply ancient titles to the living, verses worshipping dead stuff – especially when there are great rewards in doing so. I tought Christians believed their rewards are delivered in the Afterlife. Why should they have any fun – or win any more worldly elections?

The truth is, Christians are UNHAPPY with just about everything and everyone. I wish to be a Jolly King Nick who with glee, rubs ceremonial salt in their wounds in celebration of our victory over the sore losers who deliver their devious coded curses every day ever since November 7th.

The “War on Christmas” has already begun.

At least, this seems to be true for “700 Club” host Pat Robertson, who recently warned his viewers that “the Grinch” is attempting to ruin the impending holiday.

As Right Wing Watch notes, Robertson used the iconic Seussian anti-holiday deviant as a metaphor for those “miserable atheists” who “want to steal [Christmas] away from you.”

“Atheists don’t like our happiness, they don’t want you to be happy, they want you to be miserable,” Robertson says in the video. “They’re miserable so they want you to be miserable.”
This is not the first time that Robertson has lambasted atheists on his show.
According to an earlier report by The Huffington Post, Robertson said that “atheists” and those who “hate God” were to blame for the tragic shooting at a Wisconsin Sikh Temple in August.
“People who are atheists, they hate God, they hate the expression of God, and they are angry at the world, angry with themselves, angry with society and they take it out on innocent people who are worshipping God,” he said at the time.
Also in August, Robertson took issue with billboards that promote atheist messages, calling them “garbage.” He went on to say that billboard companies should “forget this first amendment stuff” and “tell those atheists to take a hike.”
