I created a faux art association down on the McKenzie River. Most art groups are run by volunteers. I can have volenteers. The people I have asked to help me are too mentally ill to do – any job! Dubai Deal Makers in Glenwood
Posted on December 4, 2018 by Royal Rosamond Press

Here are the minutes of a plan to have Apex of Dubai build a futuristic city in Glenwood. I talked to a homeowner who put a monkey-wrench in the works. Chambers Construction was going to do the work. Apex is just a shell of it original self. They are one of the suspects in crashing my last blog. Trump has/had plans to build a huge golf course resort in Dubai. How does this tie in with the murder of Kashoggi?
Above is a pic of me wearing a Communist Russian flag taken two years ago by the river. I am shouting out a warning – of bad things to come! How easy it was/is to dismiss the Mad Augur Man. But, now that Donald’s Super Hotel Deal with Russian, may get him impeached, and his sons LOCKED UP, folks will start listening to me. It looks bad that they tear down Armstrong’s KORE after considering erecting a monument to Arab Oil Sheiks. Our Mayor has been leery of me for ten years.

Director Christine Lundberg said she believed it was important for the Glenwood Riverfront Development project to remain identified with Springfield. She said she was eager for citizen participation. Mr. Larson said the location of the project was unique and could serve as a connector between Springfield and Eugene. He said it also needed a sense of “enclosure of location.”

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Director Dave Ralston moved, seconded by Director Joe Pishioneri, to accept the minutes of the September 25, 2006, meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously, 7:0, Director Christine Lundberg having not yet joined the meeting.
III. COMMUNICATIONS A. Business from the Audience None.
B. Correspondence Community Development Manager John Tamulonis reported that several telephone calls and letters regarding the Glenwood Riverfront Development had been received. He said they had especially encouraged the inclusion of bicycle/pedestrian pathways in any plan that was adopted.
C. Business from Staff Mr. Tamulonis reported that the next SEDA meeting would include consideration of an offer for the purchase of property in an Executive Session. Mr. Tamulonis suggested that the rumored departure of the Chairperson as a SEDA member would necessitate choosing new officers. He proposed that an election be held in January 2007.

IV. REPORT OF THE CHAIR Chairperson Fitch expressed appreciation to the members of the presentations Evaluation Committee and Planning, Public Works, and Finance staff for their commitment to the tasks of preparing a recommendation regarding a Glenwood Riverfront Master Developer.
V. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES None.
VI. OLD BUSINESS A. Recommendation for Glenwood Riverfront Master Developer Mr. Tamulonis distributed copies of material distributed by representatives of the Glenwood Riverfront Company and APEX Investment Group and copies of questions asked by the Evaluation Committee at its October 2, 2006 all-day session. He said copies of video presentations made by the groups were available on request. Mr. Tamulonis distributed copies of an October 9 memorandum with a staff recommendation for Glenwood Riverfront Master Developer. He said it was based on evaluations of presentations made at the October 2 meeting and evaluations of both proposals prepared by City Planning and Public Works staff. He said evaluations of the proposals and their presenters by independent financial advisors were not yet completed, but would be available if SEDA approved continuing discussions with one of the Master Developers. Director Christine Lundberg joined the meeting at 6:25 p.m. Mr. Tamulonis reviewed Planning and Public Works issues related to the proposals included in his memorandum. He summarized Evaluation Committee rankings and comments also included. He highlighted additional comments about each proposal included. Mr. Tamulonis stated that SEDA staff recommended that the Board continue discussions with APEX Investment Group and receive a full presentation of its proposal at an extended November 6 meeting. He reviewed reasons contributing to the recommendation included in his memorandum. Director Sid Leiken requested that a member of the Evaluation Committee comment on the presentations and staff recommendation. David Carvo stated that he was impressed with the emphasis in the APEX presentation that access to the river would be valuable in the development and that the location was ideal for its use. He said he believed the APEX proposal met all the requirements set by SEDA, but that the Glenwood Riverfront Company proposal became bogged down in problems to be faced. He suggested that the APEX proposal showed the most “concern for people” and said it was positive that a former Glenwood resident was on its presentation team. He said he was impressed with the well-rounded and professional/educational skills of the APEX project managers and with their knowledge of local land use requirements and opportunities. Director Stewart said he believed both proposals had been well prepared and would likely be successful. He said the Glenwood Riverfront Company proposal seemed most interested in “horizontal” (land) development, whereas the APEX proposal appeared to have an ability and preference for doing horizontal and “vertical” (buildings) development. He said he appreciated the APEX emphasis on its vision for the Riverfront property, versus the Glenwood reliance on market preferences to determine a development strategy. He said he was concerned that the Glenwood proposal considered control of Franklin Boulevard an impediment to development that would require intervention by the City, whereas APEX as
Springfield Economic Development Agency Minutes October 9, 2006 Page 3
sumed it would participate, or even take the lead, in resolution of problems related to it that affected project access. He said he was surprised at the awareness of local conditions presented by APEX. He said APEX appeared to have greater financial resources available for the project. Director Leiken asked if assurances of the financial condition of APEX were available. Mr. Tamulonis said a full report of the financial statuses of the proposal presenters could be available if SEDA chose to accept the staff recommendation. Director Ralston asked if all members of the Evaluation Committee agreed with the recommendation to continue discussions with APEX. Mr. Tamulonis said his recommendation was based on the evaluations of Planning staff, Public Works staff, and Evaluation Committee. He reviewed criteria percentage scores compiled for each proposal submitted by members of the Committee included in his memorandum. Director Pishioneri asked if the experience of APEX in the development of other projects had been investigated. Mr. Tamulonis reported that a report on such issues would be included in the report to be received from the independent financial advisors. Director Leiken asked if SEDA members were allowed to contact representatives of the Portland Development Corporation about its experience with APEX. SEDA Attorney Joe Leahy stated that since no decision regarding a contract with APEX would be made at the current meeting, such contact was permitted. Chairperson Fitch said she believed it was appropriate to continue discussions with APEX regarding its Glenwood Riverfront development proposal. Director Ralston said he was disappointed that the presentation from the Glenwood Riverfront Company had not fared better in the evaluation process. He said he would have preferred to deal with a locally owned company in the development project. Mr. Tamulonis said video tape recordings of the presentations and Evaluation Committee discussions had been made and were available to SEDA members. Director Anne Ballew said she believed the Evaluation Committee and staff had correctly recommended that discussions continue with APEX, but that the financial evaluation of its experience would be crucial in a decision to choose it as Master Developer for the project. Director Ballew moved, seconded by Director Pishioneri, to continue discussions with APEX Investment Group and have a presentation of its development proposal and a report from the independent financial advisors made at a SEDA meeting on November 6, 2006. The motion was adopted unanimously, 8:0. Mr. Tamulonis expressed appreciation for the service of the members of the Evaluation Committee and other staff reviewers. Director Ralston said he believed it would be important to ensure in a relationship with APEX for Springfield interests to remain in control and influence.
V. NEW BUSINESS A. Part-time Staff Position Mr. Tamulonis referred to an Agenda Item Summary entitled “Proposed Part-Time, Limited Duration Staff Position” and reviewed information it contained regarding the recruitment of a half-time Planner to serve as SEDA staff. He said establishing a relationship with APEX as Master Developer would quickly “ramp up” the need for such a position. He recommended that a request to assist with recruitment of a person to fill the position be initiated with the City of Springfield in a timely manner to allow hiring of a person to be considered at a November SEDA meeting.
Springfield Economic Development Agency Minutes October 9, 2006 Page 4
Chairperson Fitch said she believed a suggestion previously made by Director Bill Dwyer should be included that the responsibilities of the position should include supervision of potential University of Oregon interns. Director John Woodrow moved, seconded by Director Pishioneri, to request that the City of Springfield recruit a person to serve as a half-time Planner 1, limited-duration SEDA employee. Director Ballew said she was concerned about the financial impact of hiring someone for such a position. She said she was also concerned that the Planner 1 skill set would not be adequate for the responsibilities of the position. Mr. Tamulonis replied that consideration had also been given to establishing Management Analyst or Secretary/Clerk qualifications for the position, but that the need to work with both the Master Developer and with citizens suggested that setting the qualifications “somewhere in the middle” would be most beneficial. Director Ballew asked if current SEDA revenue was adequate to cover the cost of the proposed position and other staff and operating obligations. Mr. Tamulonis replied that it was possible that adding the position would strain available resources, but that it was possible that the position would be of short duration. Director Ballew asked if the City Human Resources Department had been contacted regarding the position. Mr. Tamulonis replied that its representatives had agreed that the job description attached to the Agenda Item Summary was appropriate. Director Leiken asked if funding the position could be included in a Development Agreement established with a Master Developer. Mr. Tamulonis said the City had experience in creating such an arrangement and that the possibility would be explored. The motion to request City assistance in recruiting a SEDA employee was adopted, 7:1, with Director Ballew voting no.
B. Glenwood Residential Improvement Program Housing Division lead staff Kevin Ko referred to an Agenda Item Summary entitled “Glenwood Residential Improvement Program” and reviewed its description of a proposal for a housing rehabilitation loan program for Glenwood residents. He explained that its goals would be to maintain current housing stock and provide a way for low-income homeowners to make improvements to their primary residences. Director Ralston said he supported the program idea, but that he did not believe there were Springfield resources available to fund it. Chairperson Fitch replied that SEDA funds would be used to support the program. Director Woodrow asked if homes using septic tank waste disposal systems would be eligible to participate in the proposed program. Mr. Ko replied that, with certain limitations, it would be possible. He explained that, in one instance, the parallel City program had used the available loan to facilitate annexation and attachment to the sewer system. Director Pishioneri asked for an explanation of improvements allowed to be paid for by the proposed loan program. Mr. Ko stated that almost any improvement, except expansion, would be eligible, if it made a home more comfortable, efficient, or enabled it to meet building code requirements. Director Lundberg asked what eligibility standards would be used for the proposed program. Mr. Ko replied that the standards would be set by SEDA. Mr. Tamulonis suggested that U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standards for such loans might be adopted for the Glenwood area.
Springfield Economic Development Agency Minutes October 9, 2006 Page 5
Director Leiken stated that he supported the proposed program and favored using HUD eligibility standards. He suggested that the entire program be exactly parallel to the similar program operated by the City. He said it was important for investment to be made in the housing stock of Glenwood. Director Pishioneri said he agreed with Director Leiken and suggested that the program include facilitation for annexation of properties to the City. Director Ballew asked if the deferred payment loans would continue to be obligated to SEDA if a property was annexed. Mr. Ko replied that it would. Mr. Leahy added that if SEDA were dissolved, arrangements would be made for its outstanding loans to be transferred to the City. He added that there were certain minor legal alterations he would suggest regarding the proposal. Director Woodrow moved, seconded by Director Lundberg, to approve the proposal for a Glenwood Residential Improvement Program, amended by suggestions of the City Attorney. Chairperson Fitch determined that there was agreement to not vote on the motion, but wait until a final version of the proposal was available.
VI. PUBLIC HEARING None.
Chairperson Fitch announced that the next SEDA meeting would be held November 6 in the Library Meeting Room, allowing the participation of citizens and especially Glenwood residents.
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.

V. OLD BUSINESS A. Presentation by Preferred Glenwood Riverfront Master Developer Chairperson Fitch expressed appreciation for the presentation of the Apex Investment Group proposal for the Glenwood Riverfront Redevelopment. David Sierens introduced members of the panel making the presentation: Daniel Ingrim – Chief Development Officer, Apex/Willamette Investment Group David Sierens – Vice President, Business Development and Marketing, Apex Gary Larson – Principal, MulvannyG2 Architecture John Flynn – MulvannyG2 Charlie Brucker – Walker-Macy Landscape Architects Mr. Sierens explained that Chris Zahas of the Leland Consulting Group, Real Estate Strategists, a significant participant in the proposed project, was unable to be present. Mr. Sierens described Apex Investment Group as a privately held firm with thirty years of real estate, design, engineering, and construction experience. He said its headquarters was in Portland, had offices in other cities, and was involved in major development projects in the Middle East. Mr. Sierens reported that on learning of the Glenwood Riverfront Project, Apex had concluded it was perfect for mixed-use development. He said what was created would take advantage of the scenic and beautiful site and be specific to the unique community in which it was located. He said the development would be formed by a yet-to-bedeveloped marketing strategy. Gary Larson stated that MulvannyG2 Architecture had extensive experience working with government and private property owners in the development of urban environments that involve local jurisdictions and surrounding neighborhoods. Charlie Brucker stated that Walker-Macy had extensive experience with waterfront development. He said recent projects in Portland and Corvallis illustrated the commitment of the firm to enhancing the river and human interaction with it. Mr. Larson stated that Leland Consulting had extensive experience developing partnership with many cities in the West and Mountain regions of the U.S. He said it was a firm of strategic advisors serving public and private leadership in the development and redevelopment of urban places. Mr. Larson described MulvannyG2 and his continued excitement in working to create community. He displayed photos of the Glenwood area and of the site to be developed. He suggested it would be important to consider the synergism of the entire area and how its location would contribute to the uniqueness of the project. Mr. Larson reviewed Urban Design Goals of the Riverfront Redevelopment Project: – Connectivity between the district and the river – Maximize open space – Establish an active, vibrant, and walk-able pedestrian environment – Create a rectangular street pattern – Create an authentic sense of place – Create a neighborhood environment accessible to all Mr. Larson referred to maps he said illustrated how Franklin Boulevard was used to enable development of areas south of the project site. He described how mixed-use
Springfield Economic Development Agency Minutes November 6, 2006 Page 3
development for living, working and playing created community. He said the project would include 1,300 residential units and thousands of square feet of office/retail space. He projected a “fly-through” of the architectural design potential showing building types, and residential/commercial/open-space concepts. Mr. Brucker described his familiarity with the project site from his experience at the University of Oregon, marriage of a resident, and on-going family visits and recreation there. He said it would be the intention of Walker-Macy to contribute to the Riverfront development by creating landscaping which would encourage the co-existence of people and the river. He described street designs, gardens, open spaces, and the use of art that would bring people to the water. Mr. Larson described principles of public-private partnership used by the Leland Consulting Group: – Building trust between parties – Taking the “long view” – Working “in the middle” between public and private entities – Protecting the project – Developing a shared vision in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) – Including detailed points in a Development & Disposition Agreement (DDA) Mr. Larson reviewed development principles, branding and identity, using a market strategy versus a market study, and redevelopment strategies to be used in the project. He said redevelopment of Glenwood would be unique, a special opportunity, and take hard work. He said Apex and MulvannyG2 were ready to undertake and stick to the task. Director Sid Leiken stated he was impressed with the dream for development of Springfield in the Apex proposal. He said he was pleased that the project took advantage of the most valuable Glenwood asset, its natural resources. He said he believed patience in preparing for the development was paying off and that he was looking forward to its next steps. He said the presentation had been very helpful. Director Ballew expressed appreciation for the presentation. She asked if it was possible to estimate a timeframe for beginning and completion of the project. Mr. Larson replied that preparing such an estimate would hinge on the public/private partnership established, especially related to development of needed infrastructure. He said time would also be needed to develop more fully the concept with community input. He said Apex was ready to begin as soon as possible. Director Christine Lundberg said she believed it was important for the Glenwood Riverfront Development project to remain identified with Springfield. She said she was eager for citizen participation. Mr. Larson said the location of the project was unique and could serve as a connector between Springfield and Eugene. He said it also needed a sense of “enclosure of location.” Chairperson Fitch said she was pleased that fulfilling the dream of Glenwood redevelopment had started before the end of her tenure as a member of SEDA. Director Leiken suggested that there would be value in having a presentation of the Apex Glenwood Riverfront Redevelopment proposal made before appropriate representatives of the University of Oregon. Director Faye Stewart said he had found the Apex presentation to be exciting.
Springfield Economic Development Agency Minutes November 6, 2006 Page 4
Mark Gardiner stated that he had participated in the Presentations and Evaluation Committee as a financial consultant. He said his study of documents submitted regarding the Financial Capability of Apex had convinced him that the company had the financial wherewithal to undertake the proposed project. He said that its business experience gave confidence that it would carry out its strategy. He said SEDA should give a very high priority to development of a MOU. Chairperson Fitch determined that members were ready to act on a recommendation to move forward. Director Leiken moved, seconded by Director Stewart, to authorize staff to begin negotiations with Apex/Willamette Investment Group for its designation as the Glenwood Riverfront Master Developer. The motion was adopted unanimously, 6:0.
The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.

The Invasion of Glenwood
Posted on May 20, 2017by Royal Rosamond Press

The invasion of Glenwood was led by Apex Investments of Dubai. Springfield and Eugene refused my history of the Miller Brothers, and John and Jessie Fremont. What are they giving the people? What are they giving women, and men? Who wants this empty clean space of the mind? Why did so many women vote for Trump? Who is bankrolling these projects? The Arabs got wealthy from the oil they own. They pretend there is a cultural exchange. There is not. Araba leaders are barbarians, family run oligarchies that our President emulates to the delight of squealing white women.
Who are these Hotel Cartel People? What are they not being questioned? Do we want what they have to sell? Are they helping the homeless? Who are they? We are just cattle to them. Their prices are too high. They should be cut in half, or, we should become a Socialist Nation and offer free transportation and lodging – along with free medicine!

WASHINGTON — President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting.
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”
The conversation, during a May 10 meeting — the day after he fired Mr. Comey — reinforces the notion that the president dismissed him primarily because of the bureau’s investigation into possible collusion between Mr. Trump’s campaign and Russian operatives. Mr. Trump said as much in one televised interview, but the White House has offered changing justifications for the firing.”
It is clear to me what the Trump Buddies are up to. They want to make the Rich of the World even richer so they will invest in, and stay in, their Luxury Hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place. If they have to take food stamps from children, and put poor seniors out on the street, the will do so with a snigger, a snort, and a chuckle! A crazy nut is someone in power who is not willing to join the boys in the locker room and go after The Poor – with glee! The Press is not the enemy, The Poor, is their main target.

President Donald Trump’s adult sons, who now manage his sprawling business empire, were guests of honor at the launch of a new luxury golf course in Dubai, the first opening of a Trump-branded property since Inauguration Day.
Eric and Donald Jr. presided as the red carpet was rolled out at the 30,000-square-foot (2,787 sq meter) clubhouse for the Trump International Golf Course, the first Trump golf resort in the Arab world.
The plush kick-off event started just after sunset on a clear, blustery evening. Guests — a mix of local and foreign business people — were treated to canapes of quail egg, tuna tartar and spring rolls, and a string orchestra played Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.” No alcohol was served.
The 18-hole course is part of a larger villa and apartment building project by Dubai-based developer Damac Properties Dubai Co. PJSC, which is owned by billionaire Hussain Sajwani. The layout was designed by architect Gil Hanse, who also designed the 2016 Olympic course in Rio de Janeiro.
A corporate membership is about $15,000 (55,000 dirhams) up front plus about $21,800 per year, according to a rate card distributed at the event. A single person can join for $6,800 plus a $9,530 annual fee.
Damac has a second resort under development, the Trump World Golf Club Dubai, which is being designed by golfer Tiger Woods. Damac paid Trump as much as $10 million in 2015 and the first part of 2016, according to his financial disclosure filed in May.
Mar-a-Lago Party
As president-elect, Trump said he turned down a $2 billion deal with a major property developer in Dubai because he didn’t “want to take advantage of something.” Damac confirmed the talks with Trump, without specifying whether the deal involved properties in Dubai or when the discussions took place.

Glenwood’s turnaround
Local group plans riverfront hotel, conference center
Appeared in print: Saturday, April 5, 2014, page A8
More than a few people probably rolled their eyes when they read a story in Thursday’s Register-Guard describing a proposal to build a $43-million riverfront hotel and conference center on Franklin Boulevard in Glenwood’s gritty, underutilized riverfront district.
After all, similarly ambitious proposals have surfaced in the past only to disappear like morning mist on the Willamette River. In 2007, at the height of Oregon’s last economic boom, Apex Investment Group, an international development company, announced plans for transforming an unincorporated jumble of industrial, retail and residential properties in Glenwood into a vibrant mix of housing, shops, restaurants and offices. A year later, the plan was dead. Developers cited unfavorable market conditions, a nice way of saying the project wasn’t economically feasible, especially in light of the area’s lack of infrastructure and the absence of an overall vision and detailed plan for how Glenwood should evolve.
But there are reasons to believe the most recent proposal will succeed where others have failed. They include Springfield’s completion of the Glenwood Refinement plan, a comprehensive long-range strategy for the region and for addressing the daunting obstacles that have long hindered its redevelopment.
Richard Boyles, president and co-founder of Springfield-based InnSight Hotel Management Group, which manages about a dozen hotels in Oregon and Washington, remains skeptical of the latest Glenwood project.
Boyles said Vik approached him a year or two ago about joining the project. Boyles passed on the venture.
Boyles questioned whether there is a enough conference business to make the project profitable. He also wondered whether conference bookers will be keen to hold events at that location when some attendees would have to stay elsewhere.
“Its time will come,” Boyles said of Glenwood. “But to lead that redevelopment with a hotel I didn’t feel would be a successful venture.”
Allen Lonstron, another member of the local development group, acknowledged that attendees would have to stay at other hotels in the area until Glenwood redevelops with more hotel rooms. But he said that’s typically the case with conference centers and doesn’t see it as a setback.
Boyles is “partly right because we don’t have enough (full-service) hotel rooms,” Lonstron said. “That’s not going to keep us from having business.”
Lonstron said the Eugene-Springfield area has fewer rooms and meeting space at full-service hotels, which include rooms, meeting space and in-house food service, than it did a decade ago.
The area has three full-service hotels: the Hilton Eugene, the Valley River Inn and the Holiday Inn Eugene/Springfield.
The Lane Events Center and Lane Community College have meeting space but no hotel rooms on site.
Adwa Al-Dakheel, CEO of Direct Influence, at the ‘Youth in Business’ panel discussion at the Saudi-US CEO Forum in Riyadh Saturday.
RIYADH: Disregarding the singular quest of making money when starting a business is the top advice offered to entrepreneurs by Adwa Al-Dakheel, the 25-year-old CEO of the Direct Influence media agency.
Society today needs businesses that can cater straight to its needs, the young Saudi executive said on the sidelines of the Saudi-US CEO Forum on Saturday.
“Today if you want to succeed; if you want your business to become a billion-dollar business, you need to think of the society first,” she told Arab News.
“I think the old theory of (starting) a business just to make a profit is over,” she added, adding that money will come eventually if you’re doing the right thing and if the idea is beneficial.
Al-Dakheel, who is also a stock analyst, triple majored in business management, entrepreneurship and psychology in Boston, Massachusetts. She said the educational infrastructure in Saudi Arabia is “booming and is becoming bigger and better,” something that calls for knowledge transfer between Saudi and foreign students.
“I think the idea and theory of knowledge transfer between Saudi Arabia and the US is extremely needed. In the past it has been one-sided, but in today’s age it is actually moving in both directions.”
She hopes to see more students coming to study in Saudi Arabia from the US. A current example of that are students coming from abroad to study at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal and Mohammed Bin Salman College (MBSC) in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
The young businesswoman, who became a CEO at the age of 23, said that Saudi Arabia needs to invest more in employment, job development, and education as well. “It’s not right for us to just employ people, get them a salary and just ask them to work. We should give them knowledge; we should educate because a year later, we don’t want them to be the same people.”

Royal Rosamond Guard

Victoria Rosemond Bond turned off the Academy Awards, and in a daze answered her phone. It was Clive Rougemont calling from Lloyds.
“I think you should found a newspaper in Eugene. Half of America is alinging itself with Zelensky – and the United Kingdom for supporting this hero! How about…..The Royal Guard?”
“The Royal Rosamond Guard!” Victoria added.
“So be it!”
On March 22, 2024, I founded the British Art Department in the old power Station in Eugene that will also house RRG.

Chapter: Joan of Hart
Victoria Bond could not believe how fast the workman, worked. Most of the workers were from Scotland. They came to America to participate in a soccer match – that never existed. An item in the Register Guard said their families came along to root for the Rose and Sinclair clans. There were pipes and drummers going to and fro in the new Waterfront Park. They were practicing. The practicing went on for a month. By that time – it was done!
After finding John Presco, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. He was pretty shaken up. A month earlier he had a vision in the University of Oregon Library the day before October 7th. He was doing research for his book ‘A Rose Amongst The Woodwoses’ Twenty years earlier he found a book on rulings of the Sanhedrin that revealed Jesus was very close to these rulings. When I (he) found the book, missing, he thought of his old nemesis ‘The Green Swastika’ who had hid a book about Rosamond The Cupbearer from him. He called the Uof O police. They came.
Victoria and The Wizard grilled John extensively about what he said to Mr. Swastika.
“We shared alot of information. But, I kept the core of my book, a secret…..or, did I?”
“What did you let slip?” asked The Wizard?”
“I dare not tell you, then you will know the incredible secret that will stand Christianity – and Judaism – on it;s head!”
“You can tell us!” Victoria said, and put her hand on John’s forearm.
“I believe I told Green I suspect Jesus was an upstanding member of the Sanhedrin!”
Both Victora and John were spray with warm coffee, as The Wizard let go a mouthful!
“For fuck sake! I hope you did not suggest this idea to anyone else!” cried Wizard. And out of his attaché came his dart gun – and hit John Presco with a tranquillizer next to his Adam’s Apple.
…..
The British Art Department never opened its doors to the public. British Billionaires paid for it’s wonderful restoration. Every day, at tea time, a door opened, and out marched a Scotch Guard that carried loaded weapons. just in case…they came! And….they would come! And…Mr. Green will lead them, and point out…..Mr. Presco!

For years, the biggest threat to 007 “was the apocryphal ‘woke police’”, said Adam White in The Independent: a “mob of rainbow-haired bisexuals” determined to turn James Bond into a woman and replace his vodka martini with “vegan wine”.
But now, we know how Bond will really be killed off: through “a slow, sad corporate takeover”. Last week, the Broccoli family yielded creative control over the franchise to Amazon MGM Studios.
‘Hallmark of Britishness’
For Brits, 007 “is not just A.N. Other action hero”, said Janice Turner in The Times: “he’s our soft power, our collective national id” – an alluring mix of “tradition and modernity” and “understated cool”, “salted” with a dash of humour. Now, it’s only a matter of time before Jeff Bezos and his algorithm-led streaming platform turn Bond into a bland, “Americanised” figure.

In case you are a movie fan who has been living under a rock for the last week, I regret to inform you that the Broccoli family—who have long been the stewards of the James Bond film franchise—recently handed over full creative control to Amazon in exchange for a major paycheck. So the Oscars decided to highlight the Broccolis, following Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson’s being honored with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award last November, with a tribute to 007. It was…strange.

Amazon on Friday lost a fight to escape regulatory oversight for a proposeddata center northwest of Minneapolis, in a skirmish that illustrates how the tech industry’s rush to invest billions in new facilities can clash with local communities and state-level climate goals.

The decision against Amazon by Minnesota’s Public Utilities Commission comes in a state that, like many others, is grappling with a recent spike in data center construction, with projects also planned by Meta and Microsoft.
Tech industry competition in artificial intelligence is driving a boom in data center construction that won support from the Biden administration and now the Trump administration. The projects have prompted the resurrection of shuttered power plants and fears of rate hikes and energy shortfalls.
In Minnesota, Amazon sought to avoid a potentially lengthy permitting process for 250 diesel backup generators at a data center proposed in the small city of Becker, where the project had support from labor unions and city officials.
A royal guard or the palace guard, is a group of military bodyguards, soldiers or armed retainers responsible for the protection of a royal family member, such as a king or queen, or prince or princess. They often are an elite unit of the regular armed forces, or are designated as such, and may maintain special rights or privileges.
Institution and tasks
[edit]

Royal guards have historically comprised both purely ceremonial units serving in close proximity to the monarch, as well as regiments from all arms, forming a designated substantial elite and intended for active service as part of the army. An example of the first category would include the Tropas de la Casa Real of the Spanish monarchy prior to 1930, comprising halberderos and a mounted escort. Examples of the second would include the Imperial Guards of the Russian and German Empires prior to 1917–18.[1]
Monarchs frequently modelled their royal guards upon those of fellow rulers. Thus, Napoleon I‘s Garde Imperiale was imitated by his opponent Alexander I of Russia, his Bourbon successor Louis XVIII, and his nephew Napoleon III. The modern Garderegiment Grenadiers en Jagers regiment of the Netherlands and the Escorte Royale of Belgium retain features of uniform and other distinctions that can be traced back to Napoleonic influences.[2]

Victoria Bond felt serene for the first time in a year. She found time to create another work of art in her studio at The Bristish Art Department. As she chipped away at her block of marble, she looked over at her new friend, John Presco, working on his rendering of the January 6th. storming of his Nation’s Capitol. A small cherry-picker was brought in to assist Mr. Presco in completing his fiteen by twenty foot masterpiece that he planned to present to Presdient Bidn when he wins another twem.
It was Fleet Weeks in New York Harbor.
STOP THE PRESSES!
Sn hour after I wrote the text above, I turned on the news and saw – THIS FLAG! I went into Dream Time when I saw the two green flags at our Capitol. They are like columns. Seven months ago I dreamed I was atop such a tree. Victoria had dreams of Ghost Ships. Russia and British ships can not sail. They may be scrapped!

INFORMATION FROM BOB ROSAMOND – UNITED KINGDOM

Cousin Barbara Morgan first made contact with Bob Rosamond in the UK, as I did later. Bob is a retired policeman, and his father did quite a bit of work on the Rosamond genealogy in the UK. His family, independently from my family, and the family of Mary Jane Loya in California, have the legend of Sergeant Rosamond. Below is Bob’s story from the perspective of his family.

The Huguenots was a name given to the Protestants of France from about 1560 to 1629. Protestantism was introduced into France between 1520 and 1523, and many members of the nobility, the intellectual classes, and the middle class accepted its principles. At first the new religious group enjoyed royal protection, notably from Queen Margaret of Navarre and her brother, King Francis I of France. Toward the end of his reign, however, Francis persecuted the Protestants; his successor, Henry II, followed his example. Nevertheless, the French Protestants increased in number. At their first national synod (1559), or council, 15 churches were represented. At the next, held two years later, more than 2000 churches sent representatives.
The rise in the number of French Protestants excited the alarm and hatred of the French Roman Catholics. The religious hatred was intensified by political rivalry between the house of Valois, then in possession of the French throne, and the house of Guise. Catherine de Mdicis, widow of Henry II, who governed in the name of her son, King Charles IX, at times, allied herself with the Huguenots for political reasons, but generally sided against them. The Huguenots were persecuted severely in Charles’s reign, and they in turn made reprisals upon the Roman Catholics. Finally, open civil war broke out. Between 1562 and 1598 eight bitter wars were fought between French Roman Catholics and Protestants.
The Huguenot leaders in the first of the nearly four decades of conflict were Louis I de Bourbon, prince de Cond, and the French admiral Gaspard de Coligny; subsequently they were led by Henry of Navarre, later Henry IV, king of France.
The principal Roman Catholic leaders were Henri I de Lorraine, 3rd duc de Guise; Catherine de Mdicis; and King Henry III. Each side from time to time called on foreign help. The Huguenots obtained troops from England, Germany, and Switzerland; the Roman Catholics, from Spain. The treaties that concluded the wars usually granted the Huguenots some measure of tolerance, but the government’s subsequent ignoring or outright repudiation of the terms of the treaties led to a renewal of hostilities. The greatest act of treachery of the period took place in 1572. Two years previously, Catherine and Charles IX had signed a treaty with the Huguenots granting them freedom of worship; they had remained on friendly terms with the Huguenots, calling Coligny to court, where he enjoyed great influence. Having lulled the Huguenots into a feeling of security, on August 25, 1572, St. Bartholomew’s Day, the queen mother and the king caused thousands of them to be massacred in Paris and elsewhere in France. Coligny was found and killed by the duc de Guise himself.
The eighth civil war took place during the reign of Henry III, successor to Charles IX. The Huguenots, now led by Henry of Navarre, inflicted (1587) a crushing defeat upon the Roman Catholics at Coutras. Strife among the Catholics themselves, which resulted in the assassinations of the duc de Guise in 1588 and Henry III in 1589, helped the Huguenot cause. With the death of Henry III the house of Valois became extinct, and Henry of Navarre, the first of the Bourbon line, became king of France as Henry IV. To avoid further civil strife, he conciliated the Roman Catholics by converting to Catholicism in 1593. In 1598 Henry IV issued the Edict of Nantes, by which the Huguenots received almost complete religious freedom.
Under Henry IV the Huguenots became a strong power in France. To break this power, which stood in the way of the absolutist type of government that the next two kings of France, Louis XIII and, particularly, Louis XIV, wished to impose on the country, both monarchs instigated new persecutions of the Huguenots, and new civil wars took place. The French statesman Cardinal Richelieu caused the political downfall of the Huguenots with the capture (1628), after a long siege, of their principal stronghold, La Rochelle. Thereafter he sought to conciliate the Protestants. Louis XIV, however, persecuted them mercilessly, and on 18th October, 1685, he revoked the Edict of Nantes. Finding life in France intolerable under the ensuing persecutions and evaporation of religious liberty, hundreds of thousands of Huguenots fled to England, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the English colonies in North America, including Massachusetts, New York, and South Carolina. The total emigration is believed to have been from 400,000 to 1 million, with about 1 million Protestants remaining in France. Thousands of Protestants settled in the Cvennes mountain region of France and became known as Camisards; the attempt of the government to extirpate them resulted in the Camisard War (1702-05). The enlightened and religiously sceptical spirit of the 18th century, however, was opposed to religious persecution, and during this time the French Protestants gradually regained many of their rights. Although Louis XV issued an edict in 1752 declaring marriages and baptisms by Protestant clergymen null and void, under Louis XVI the edict was recalled. After 1787, Protestant marriages were declared legal, and Protestants were granted other rights as well. Several laws passed later in the 19th century gave full religious freedom to all French sects, including the Protestants. In the 19th and 20th centuries French Protestants, although comparatively few in number, have been influential in French life, playing an important part in education, law, and finance, and in general taking a liberal stand on social reform.
Immediately after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, one William Rosamond, a Huguenot, fled from France. He was married to a lady whose maiden name had been Anne dOrr . (French of gold).
There are a number of researchers looking into the family history. The findings of some are as follows:
1. In 1925 William Sam Rosamond did a relatively complete genealogy. His research indicated that we were descended from a Huguenot born in France sometime in the mid to late 1600s. He discovered that his earliest traceable ancestor was a “Sergeant” Rosamond who left France following the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes on 22nd October 1685. He found that Sergeant Rosamond supposedly travelled to Holland where he joined the army of William III, went to England, and from there went with William’s army to Ireland. He fought in the Battle of the Boyne on 1st July 1690 (by the old calendar 12th July by the new calendar) and then remained in County Leitrim, Ireland. (There is still a family of Rosamonds in County Leitrim.) He had three sons, two of whom went to the American colonies and settled in the mid-Atlantic region. One of the sons names was either John or Thomas Rosamond. Current researchers have not been able to confirm this connection. It appears probable that the American branch of the family are descended from John “The Highwayman” Rosamond who arrived in Annapolis, Maryland in 1725. He was sentenced to be transported into 14 years servitude for robbery from the Oxford Assizes. This John could be the son of Sergeant William Rosamond, and the mix up in names likely stems from the fact that his father-in-law’s name was Thomas Wilson.
2. Mary Jane Loya of California, whose mother was born in County Leitrim, Ireland, still has cousins living in England, some of whom are also researching the family history. Her family there has the same story of Sergeant Rosamond except that they show his name as James, and say that he took part in the Battle of the Boyne on 1st July 1690. He distinguished himself during the battle and William III, following the battle, knighted him. The family in England, specifically her cousin Jane, has a Coat of Arms for the family name, which is supposed to date back to that date.
3. Tom Rosamond, one of the current researchers in the US, had a Heraldry House in Boston do research on a family crest, and a crest was discovered that originated in Ireland. This crest exactly matches the one that Mary Jane Loya has. 4. My father, Robert Henry Rosamond (1909 1987), did a great deal of research into the family history. He told me (how I wish I had paid more attention) that we were descended from the Huguenots and that the he had managed to trace as far back as a William Rosamond, a Huguenot who left France in the late 17th century. He said that one of the sons of William Rosamond had settled in Sandwich and started a silk weaving business that had later been moved to Bethnal Green. He had discovered that one member of the family had been deported from Oxford Assizes for Highway Robbery in the 18th century.
I have looked with considerable interest at all the available data and I have come to the following conclusions with some confidence:
1. Sergeant William Rosamond was married to a woman called Anne dOrr (1) and had at least two or three sons, possibly more. There was a John, a Nathaniel and at least one other son, probably more, as it is thought that one stayed in Ireland.
2. There is no doubt at all, as it is on public record, that John Rosamond was deported having committed either highway robbery or a robbery of some description (both very serious offences for which the perpetrator was usually hanged) in Oxfordshire. He landed in Annapolis, Maryland in 1725 on a ship called the Forward. He was probably very young and had sufficient money to pay his fare to America and was therefore sent for transportation for life indentured for 14 years labour.
3. It is probable that one of the sons, probably Nathaniel, died in the American War of Independence. There is also little doubt that one of the other sons, I am not sure which, finished up in Sandwich which was then a very important port on the South coast of England (one of the Cinque Ports (2) ) where he started a silk weaving business. No doubt silk would have been imported into Sandwich. Eventually the business moved to Bethnal Green (then known as Bednal Green) a small village that was situated about a mile to the East of the City of London boundary wall. As London grew so Bethnal Green was eventually incorporated as a London Borough of which my father was one time Mayor. There is quite a large family of Rosamonds in London, including my eldest son and his family but after I remarried and moved North I lost touch with them.
4. The Eastern side of Bethnal Green became a well-known centre for silk weaving and my family were originally silk weavers. The trade continued until the 2nd World War during which Bethnal Green was virtually destroyed by bombing. There are, however, still some silk weavers cottages standing in the Cheshire Street area. (“Huguenot Weavers Houses in Spitalfields” East London Papers, Volume 1, Number 1, – April 1958) One of the Bethnal Green Huguenot silk weavers, one George Dore, was the most skilled of the silk workers and was responsible for the weaving of the coronation robe for King Edward VII. My old school, Parmiters, that was situated in Bethnal Green was founded in 1682 by one Thomas Parmiter, a Huguenot silk merchant.
1d’Orr was probably a fairly common French name and literally means ‘of gold’ as in ‘Fleche d’Orr’ – Golden Arrow. Orr in now a common name in Scotland, which has many historical connections with the French through Bonnie Prince Charlie and the highland clearances.
2 Cinque Ports, a confederation of coastal towns in southeast England. They provided the crown with ships and men to patrol the Channel and to convey its armies to the Continent, from the 11th to 16th centuries. The original five (French, cinque) ports were Hastings, Romney, Hythe, Sandwich, and Dover–known collectively as the ‘head’ ports. They were joined by thirty-two other ports, known as ‘limbs’. By the 14th century Winchelsea and Rye were also recognized as head ports. The ports of the confederation received privileges including exemption from taxes, the right to return members to Parliament (retained until the 19th century), and the honour of attending on the monarch at the coronation. Burgesses of the ports were in 1205 granted the title of ‘barons’. A Warden of the Cinque Ports was created in 1268 as an extension of the powers of the Constable of Dover Castle. A royal charter incorporating these privileges was granted in 1278. The Cinque Ports declined with the setting up of a

James went downstairs from the observation car, grabbed his bag from the storage compartment, and tapped his decorative cane rapidly as if this would cause the door to open so he could get off what a fellow passenger called;
“The Red Death Ride. That’s what we call it. We know this may be our last Cornhusker game. If we die in the new stadium they can’t fill, like in the good old days, that is a true blessing. We don’t want to die isolated in our beds, or, taken prisoner if a doomed nursing home!”
Mr. Bond let out a long breath as if he held it all the way from Chicago where he landed. He wanted to come back to America. He came to Lincoln in in 1970 to get his late wife’s nephew out of jail. William was a British subject and Bond would be working with the British Embassy to see that the charges are dropped.
“What about my girlfriend. She didn’t know I was holding. She doesn’t do drugs or alcohol. She’s a follower of Meher Baba?”
“Who?” Bond asked, trying not to get perturbed, because he had a nervous breakdown after being splattered with his new wife’s blood.
“I’ll see what I can do. Who are her people?”
“She claims she is the granddaughter of Douglas Fairbanks Jr. She was brought up by her grandmother in Grand Island. Her three sisters were fashion models. One was the mistress of Robert Vesco. There was a ring of beautiful models working the politicians and military attaches. She would not tell me who her mother is.”
When Bond and the British attorney entered the small interview room, he stumbled backwards, and grabbed the arm of the attorney!
“Rose!” James whispered as he blinked his eyes several times as if to get a clearer view of the serious young woman whose gaze was boring a hole into his brain. James collapsed in the oak chair.
Fifty years later, his leg gave out again. A vein had been taken out in order to replace the vein next to his heart that had stopped beating due to his struggle with the coronavirus, that apparently he was immune from.
