Teen-Jesus
a Novel, Book, Play
by John Presco
In 1962, Marilyn Ready saw a young man walking home from school, and, had to have him;
“He looks just like Jesus!” said Marilyn.
“That guy! He doesn;t have a beard!” July said,
Johnny Fresco has some clue he was Jesus – reborn, But, he kept it too himself. He knew people would think he is crazy if he wondered aloud. When he and Marilyn finally met, he could tell he was ‘The One’ because her said so! But, did she know for sure. When her mother made us go to three Billy Graham Crusades, and he did not go down – he knew for sure!
“If you don’t go down and be saved at the last crusade, my mother won’t let me see you anymore!”
“I can’t go down and b saved by Jesus – because I am Jesus!”
With my grandparents connection to Black Mask authors, own carte blanche to write any Pulp Fiction novel, or, script I want to.

Black Mask Authors
Posted on July 28, 2013by Royal Rosamond Press

This extremely rare photo of the first west coast Black Mask get-together on January 11, 1936 captures possibly the only meeting of several of these authors.
Pictured in the back row, from left to right, are Raymond J. Moffatt, Raymond Chandler, Herbert Stinson, Dwight Babcock, Eric Taylor and Dashiell Hammett. In the front row, again from left to right, are Arthur Barnes (?), John K. Butler, W. T. Ballard, Horace McCoy and Norbert Davis.
Rosemary told me her father, Royal Rosamond, used to sail to the Channel Islands and camp with his friend, Dashiell Hammett who is seen standing on the right in the photo above.
Marilyn Godfrey Reed

Last night, I met with Marilyn Godfrey Reed at the Jazz Station in downtown Eugene. Her husband, Kenny Reed, was performing with his band ‘Stone Cold Jazz’. Marilyn was scheduled to sing.
Sitting at the bar, Marilyn put a book before us. It was the biography of a world famous artist written by his sister. After talking on the phone earlier, we had agreed that my childhood sweetheart would author the preface, give a testimony as to her real life experiences with the Presco family, especially its creative members, who on March 24, 1994 were eliminated from the family, and replaced with a hand-picked family, carefully chosen by Stacey Pierrot after she legally captured the beautiful Rosamond images. Six days ago, Vicki suggested Pierrot got the money to purchase our families Creative Legacy from her father who owns two Nip and Tuck hospitals, he making a fortune saving women’s vanity as they grow older.
Marilyn is a Reader. She had read this biography, twice. Most of the books she has read are about the struggle creative people endure in pursuit of their Muse. Marilyn was not my Muse, she was my first Lover, my Soul Mate, my Great Soul who came into my life just after I turned sixteen, and changed it forever. We have been inseparable ever since. We teach each other, and open yet more doors of awareness. Marilyn is a Philosopher, and a woman. She may know more about Art then I. We talked for two hours last night, and produced two extremely interesting shows for the Television series I have in mind that will be titled ‘Capturing Beauty’. In our thoughtful, soulful, and loving words we captured the beauty we made between us, that my sister Christine Rosamond was witness to. And if it is true, what Rosemary said I prepared her way – in many ways – then Marilyn also prepared Christine’s way. Indeed, if you did some dishonest nip&tuck, some cut&paste, one could substitute Marilyn’s creative history, for Christine’s, mysterious history that keeps vanishing into this air! The uncreative people are to blame, and thus, it is time to repalce them – all!
I was Christine’s role model. If I had not been eliminated from Pierots New Prescos, then it stands to reason any biographer or ghost writer only need talk to me to get to really know my famous sister. However, one need only talk to Marilyn to produce a worthy book, for she knows how these biographies are structured. And as Kenny Reed’s Jazz Band played cool notes that filled the Station, Marilyn took me through this book, showing me pictures of this famous artist and his family, his mother and father, his siblings, and his lovers.
Marilyn now put the biography aside, and opened a large manilla envelope and pulled out some of her family photos. Tears welled in my eyes, for alas I beheld the photo she had ltd me about a year ago, that I longed to see, and scan, for it was the way to bring all members of my family born of the union of Vic and Rosemary Presco.
Marilyn was born in a ethnically diverse family, and married a black man . Her half brother and sister are the children of a Filipino man, I know as Daddy Pete. When my nephew married a Filipino woman, my brother Mark disowned his son, and refuses to accept his grandsons as his offspring. When you include in this group the six year old Castaway that Julie Lynch nips and tucks from the Rosamond Family Photos, in a castration of any male members, then, here we are, THE PRESCO MALES. – even though Cean Presco changed his name to O’Brien in order to honor his mother’s second husband who nurtured Mark’s son in a way my brother did not.
When I went to visit Cean, just after my grandson was born, I explained to him his father and I grew up in a CLOSED, abusive family system where racism was practiced. I told Cean about Marilyn, who almost became my wife, and thus Christine’s sister-in-law, as well as Rosemary’s daguther-in-law. Our union would have spliced thousands of Filipinos onto our Family Tree. However, there is another way to bond – a Bond of Angels! To hear Marilyn and I speak of this bond, as we have spoken since we met, will cast a beam of bright light on us all, and not just our Star, who captured beauty for just a little while, and she had to let beauty go, enter the Gate of the Muses, and leave the key of gold on this side of the threshold for other to follow.
Yesterday Marilyn told me she did a clay carving of my dramatic face, before we ever spoke to one another. On our second date I brought my sketch pad, and drew her in a coffee house on Westwood Boulevard. I remember walking home in the raid, elated that I had found her, the Creative Soul to go with my Creative Soul.
Marilyn molded when she was twelve. She went to fashion school and began designing clothes. When she was fifteen she admired Christine’s sewing, how she could work from patterns. Priscilla Presley owned a boutique and ripped some of Marilyn’s designs. She make clothes for movie stars, such as Maggie Thret, who became her friend. Above is a photo of Marilyn with Baby Jane, the daughter of the actress Jane Mansfield.
Marilyn molded for the famous fashion photographer, Steven Silverstiens she friendly with his family. Les McCann and his family was friends with Marilyn’s family, because her sister married Les’s drummer, Ron Jeffers, a black man.
Marilyn fell in love with me from afar, she telling me recently I was the most beautiful male she had ever seen. She opened up my heart to a whole new world that was diverse. Marilyn is one of those most unique people I have ever met. She is an Artist’s Dream. After we broke up, the son of the famous director, Joe Pasternak, took our schoolmate to France where she lived with her sister in Paris. Marilyn attended the University of Paris, it her dream to become a pianist and composer.
Then there is Marilyn’s spiritual knowledge that will be revealed. Many times I have encouraged Marilyn to conduct lectures, for she truly inspired, she one of those rare women that have deeply explored the divine nature of women, and mapped the trecherous course they often encounter that men know nothing about. I have asked her to take notes as she takes a close look at Rosamond the Artist, and takes another look at me, the way we were, and the way we forever will be, because we realize we are looking at very important history that needs to be treated with great respect.

When I awoke this morning, I opened my eyes and wondered if Traitor-Trump (Mr. TT) Toilet-Trump works too – had handed his buddy Putin the U.S. plans for waging a Cold&Hot War with Russia – for a hefty price (such as?) the Moscow Hotel where he will conduct The Christian Galaxy Beauty Contest consisting of The Best Butts of Tik Tok. This is what he really wanted because he loves the movie Lolita that tells it like it is. Whar’s the age of consent in Russia?
The second thing I looked at as I sat naked on the edge of my bed, was writing a bio to put next to my name as candidate for Governor. I concluded I got the best resumé you can get. If you google John Presco you get this WANTED poster published by DANEROUS ALLEY VALKYRIE. If anyone cares to know who I am – there I be!
The Register Guard said they will interview every candidate. But, they won’t touch me because they are terrified of the Eugene Anarchist and homeless mob. The real FREE PRESS scares the Be-Jesus out of them – especially when I am ragging on Christians! What I am WARNING people about is Christians taking over the Republican Party, and spreading THE (SECRET) TRUTH it is the official party of JESUS-GOD, but, be careful who you tell this to. This is being done to make it VERY SIMPLE for true believers. It is good to be – AGAINST SOMETHING!
This is the first of many posts on this subject. In my movie ‘Trumpy Bear’ I will follow the guy on probation, and this forty person choir who are heading to The White House. My “Down with post-colonialism” video will be included in the movie I will make from my home movies. After ending our falling out over this dual-belief illusion, Marilyn told me she and her choir didn’t know what to make of this video made ten years ago? I buzzed the opening of the Mimm’s House after I was put in the dark about there being a ceremony that the choir would sing at.
I rubbed Eric Richardson the wrong way when I told him my German ancestors were Turnverein who fought the Confederacy. Eric wanted ALL white men (and not white women?) to feel utter shame so they will pay reparations. I warned him about WHITE SWING VOTES and his message will get white men to vote the Republican ticket. I was ostracized. I was right! He thought I was a clever and sneaky white racist when I told him my church were Zulu Nazarites.
For ten years Marilyn invited me to come video the choir concerts. Since she was fifteen, she has wanted me to become a Christian. She would not read this blog and SEE how I owned the gift of prophecy. In 1963 M’s mother forced me to attend three Billy Graham crusades at the Coliseum. When I did not go down on the gridiron, and surrender my corrupt Teen soul to Jesus, I was forbidden to see my first love. If I tried – I would be arrested! I was part of “The Moral Emergency” in America. I am considering a lawsuit against Franklin Graham and other leaders for destroying the Republican party, founded by my kin John Fremont.
Note! There is not one black person in the Make American Great Again choir, which screams this is the true message….Make America White Again!
John Presco ‘The Nazarite’
“There are also some less familiar pieces of evidence, such as the 50-person Christian choir singing about swords and taking possession of the land while the attack was underway. Multiple rioters recounted how God’s hand or voice had urged them to enter the capital.
One avowed white supremacist had convinced his parole officer to let him travel to Washington that week to hand out Bibles. And then there’s the man who broke down Nancy Pelosi’s office door, believing that “the crowd would tear her ‘into little pieces,’” and later testified in court that God had been on Trump’s side: “And if patriots have to kill 60 million of these communists, it’s God’s will.”
There’s an exhaustive list of such examples. Paula White, “faith adviser” to the Trump White House, recorded nightly prayer videos calling on God to smite Trump’s enemies. The Proud Boys prayed in the street and were “hailed as God’s warriors.” Evangelical speaker Lance Wallnau told his massive following, “Fighting with Trump is fighting with God,” and said that angels were looking for some “risk takers” and “wild cards that are gonna go start something up.”

What is Pulp Fiction?

Usually when we tell people we write pulp fiction the person we’re talking to will ask ‘What is Pulp Fiction?’ This happens so much we wrote an article about it on our old website when we used to go by the name of Shit Show Pulps. Ironically, that article was used against us when we filed for a trademark under the current company name, and caused us to go back and forth with the US Trademark office about what Pulp Fiction is. We’ve talked about it so much I feel we’re decent authorities on the matter.

Pulp Fiction and Hardboiled Crime stories are very similar, but I’d argue that hardboiled is a subgenre of the latter. A story can be Pulp Fiction and not be Hardboiled (science fiction is a good example of this). But a Hardboiled story like Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer series could also be considered Pulp Fiction. It’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s not something you read in polite company.
Nowadays “Pulp Fiction” is a generic term and often thought to be invented by Quentin Tarantino. We love Tarantino movies but Pulp Fiction had a 100 year history when Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega discussed Big Kahuna Burgers and whether or not Marcellus Wallace looked like a bitch.

Pulp Fiction, like the Detective Story is (arguably) an American invention and both are intertwined. The Detective Story’s roots began in Edgar Allen Poe’s, The Murders in the Rue Morgue which kickstarted the genre that we know today. Like Poe, Pulp was considered inferior to other literary achievements of the day. It was dark, gruesome, and hard hitting. And the writers didn’t give two shits about what the critics thought. They had to eat.
Pulp evolved from the Penny Dreadfuls and Dime novels of the Gilded Age, they were written at breakneck speed and meant to be consumed in the same manner.
In the 1880’s Argosy Magazine which is considered the first of the Pulps was founded. Printed on cheaper pulp-wood paper these stories were cranked out rapidly, and the freelance writers getting paid a penny a word kept the stories coming.

Pulp Fiction isn’t all detective stories featuring gangsters in fedoras who say “me-yea!” At first magazines like Argosy published stories for every taste. Issues would feature all sorts of genres, a science fiction story, aviation tales, mystery stories, and Western adventures.
These magazines soon specialized in one particular genre with publications like Black Mask publishing mystery stories and Weird Tales taking the crown for Fantasy and Sci-Fi.

It was in Black Mask that we were introduced to the likes of Dashiell Hammett, Carroll John Daly, Erle Stanley Gardner, Paul Cain, and the legend Raymond Chandler. These stories inspired and were adapted into some of the best Film Noir movies a few decades later.

The height of pulp was between the world wars, when the world was suffering a crippling depression and an influx in crime brought on by a perfect storm of corruption, a bad economy, and Prohibition. It was in this time that the Hard Boiled cop or Private Eye like Chandler’s Philip Marlowe, Hammett’s Sam Spade, Spillane’s Mike Hammer, and Macdonald’s Lew Archer were personified. Their world was black and white and they were the good guys.

History repeats itself, what’s old is now new and you only have to look back at old newspapers to see the same themes of wall street corruption, racism, and disbelief in the government. The heroes in these stories reached out to people in their idealization, being lone wolves fighting injustice. We intend to do the same.
In the post war period these pulps turned into paperback novels which like the pulp rags featured bright and exciting cover artwork depicting lurid scenes of action intrigue that was matched in the prose of the books.
It was during this time that gave rise to the Men’s Magazines that writers like Mario Puzo and Stephen King cut their teeth in before they were household names. As the pulps influenced noir, the men’s mags begat action movies. It’s not hard to imagine Sam Spade and John McClane drinking at a bar as kindred spirits.
So that’s a brief history of Pulp Fiction, we intend to write another chapter in its storied pages, bringing the pulps to the 21st Century is one of our goals. Stay tuned, and stay classy.
