I don’t know if my first girlfriends is alive. She may be dead. She might be on death’s door. We had a falling out when she did nt invited me to the main memorial of her husband, Jazz Drummer – Kenny Reed, who plyed with Les McCann in Portland. Les was a very good friend of Mariyn. When she was fifteen she showed me the topless photograph Les took of Marilyn.

“How old is this guy?”

“Forty. What’s wrong, are you prejudiced against black people!”

“No. I’m not a racists. I’m jealous. I haven’t seen your bare breasts. I haven’t seen any bare breasts, but in photograph. I’m a virgin. As an artist, I own a very intense fantasy about what it would be like to behold my loves naked breasts for the first time.”

“You’re prejudiced. I knew it!”

I saw my doctor yesterday and I might not die of what killed Carl Janke. Above is a photograph of Marilyn take by a woman who adored my first girlfriend -too much! Was she a Lesbian? I was exposed to all this – in 1963.M is holding a bottle of Sea&Ski. This woman is trying to make my love a model.

On our second date Marilyn took me to see ‘Black Orpheus’ at the Nuart theater on Santa Monica Blvd. M thinks it was the Tivoli. When I see Mia drive by the Rialto theater, I start to choke. My ‘It Girl’ put her hand on my arm, to comfort me.

“Are you all right?”

“No! I’m having an attack of dejevue!

When we emerged from the theater, M asked me what I thought.

“I think I am a black man trapped in a white man’s body!”

Marilyn looked at me, perturbed. I didn’t know it then that she was setting me up for the greatest White vs. Black Culture Clash – of all time!

“I can dance! Really dance! I stole a LP from Rexall drug store when I was fourteen. I still have it. I used to dance to ‘African Drums’ before I went to school, and after, to relieve the tension. I hate school!”

I am sure Marilyn told Kenny Reed about the black soul lurking inside, me, and that’s why I am the only white man he hates in the Emerald Valley.

Being a Poor White-Black Person, with no money to take M on our first date. Rosemary suggested we go see Wurthering Heights at UCLA, where she went for two years. It was my first date. I tried not to show I was nervous. We did not hold hands, or touch one another inside the movie house. I knew she was waiting for The Kiss. I wanted a really grand kiss! A real movie kiss!

It was nighttime. As we walked the brick path, all of a sudden, I grabbed Marilyn’s hand and, cried!

“Let’s see if we can get to the top of that tower!”

We ran as hard as we could, we bothing laughing! The door was unlocked. There was no one anywhere as we bounded up the stairs! We found the door to the balcony, and looked down on the city lights. We were fifteen and sixteen. I shouted;

“Let’s go to the top of that tower!”

And down the stairs we ran! We conquered both towers! We owned La La Land!

We had people to run from. My best friend, Mark Owen, said this to me;

“I’m going to destroy you. I’m going to take Marilyn from you!”

Mark became Marilyn’s best friend’s lover.

Then, there was Jeff Pasternak, the movie producer’s son, who approached us at school. There was a dark jealousy deep inside. He had a crush on M before I came along. He did not respond to any the e-mails you have read in this blog. He was rich. M and her family were so poor. I was poor. We began to fret over money so we could fund our True Romance. M’s mother was really on my case! Mia’s phone call with her mother – ruined them, ruined the…………

‘The Greatest Love Story Ever Told!’

We never considering cashing in, because our story kept getting bigger and better. M’s half-brother took us to see Dizzy Gillespie at the Lighthouse in Hermosa beach. We would never be the same!

If La La Land resembles any movie, it is Black Orpheus, who was the greatest musician of all time. He was a married man. Mia and Sebastian, did not get married – yet!

Orpheus did not take his lyre into Hades to retrieve his beautiful wife, who had been captured by Death, and his minion of the underworld!

Do you see what Marilyn is holding in her hand? It looks like a Black Oscar. It is the black doll her sister, Shauna gave her. S married Ron Jeffers, Les MaCann’s drummer. She told me she would stay at her sister’s house in Watts. S & M would walk down the street together, in this Black Ghetto. No one fucked with them. M told me they walked past the Watts Towers on the way to Jazz clubs no white man ever entered. When I saw the Watts towers in La La Land, I knew it was A RIP!

Before M married Kenny, she told me not to anyone J.J. Johns kiss her on the couch after he made dinner for her in his apartment in Watts. He wanted to go all they way.

“I’m only fifteen!” she said. But, I think she lied.

What M is holding in her hand, is the Oscar not offered to all the Black Jazz Artists, who created a scene that was the Soul of the City of Angels. It is something else. It is M’s Oscar for the Best Love Story – of all time!

I begged my daughter, and my beautiful muses, to not give up on The Story………

“For all is well, that ends well!”

Everyone thought I was mad when I told them there is so much Illusion and Fakery, that I am compelled to give all I have – for free! For I have seen a Greater Reality. I have beheld, the Great Art. And, this is what we fought over, M and I. I told my love I was corrupting my Creative Soul – by even dwelling in La La Land! I’m sixteen years old having these incredible esoteric conversation up at the Mormon Temple, where we looked down on the city lights. It was our constant stage!

Mia booked out of there after her little stage, with the painted Eifel Tower, failed her. She was destined for The Real Thing!

“Vivien Leigh was my heroine,” Elizabeth once said. “She was innocence on the verge of decadence, always there to be saved.”

On our first date, Marilyn Godfrey and I went to see ‘Withering Heights’ in an auditorium on the grounds of the University of California at Los Angeles. Not having any money, and our mothers being poor, this love story was chosen because it being shown for free. Our father’s were absent from the home. We got no help from them in launching our fifty-five year friendship that began with the deep consideration as to how this agreement between two teenagers was going to go. Would I make it to first base, or, will we make excuses as to why we have to hurry home?

“My mother just got another calling from God. I feel it in my bones. I must rush home to be by her side.”

“My mother has just finished off a gallon of Pisano and his pulling my sister;s hair out by the root. I can feel her pain. I must rush home to protect her. See ya sometime!”

I was fifteen. I had never been on a date, and thus did not know what a bad date looked or felt like. I was at the mercy of Marilyn who had gone on several dates. She had kissed – how many of them? I kissed my childhood friend Nancy when we were both twelve. I assumed she was a good kisser. I had not kissed a girl hence. This kiss was  waiting in the wing, as Heathcliffe made his famous haunted pledge. I include most of his commitment to love, because, at the end of our long bond, I receive a death threat from Marilyn’s black husband, and, a Cease and Desist from the black Director of the Gospel Choir Marilyn is the President of. For the moment, we are studying how White Folks love, in Merry Ol England made famous for this tale of woe.

May she wake in torment!‘ he cried, with frightful vehemence, stamping his foot, and groaning in a sudden paroxysm of ungovernable passion. ‘Why, she’s a liar to the end! Where is she? Not there—not in heaven—not perished—where? Oh! you said you cared nothing for my sufferings! And I pray one prayer—I repeat it till my tongue stiffens—Catherine Earnshaw, may you not rest as long as I am living; you said I killed you—haunt me, then! Wow! So this is – love! You can’t even share anything that resembles this in a AA meeting without being accused of being selfish, and on a dry drunk. But, at fifteen Marilyn and I would give it a go. However, this was not our only blue print. M had a master plan that I still have not seen the whole of! Women are Secret Lovers. They play their cards very close to their vest, to their most Secret Heart. So, on our second date she took me to see Black Orpheus. She paid our way. From that day on, I was her puppet on a string.

Chazelle wrote the screenplay in 2010 but did not find a studio willing to finance the production without changes to his design. Following the success of his 2014 film Whiplash, the project was picked up by Summit EntertainmentLa La Land premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2016, and was released in the United States on December 9, 2016. It has grossed $370 million worldwide on a production budget of $30 million.[6]

Conspiring With La La Land Angels

The great fear of an artist, or anyone, is that someone, some force, has conspired against you, to not only turn your dream into shit, but, put it in the hands of someone who stole it from you. And now, it is their shiny thing, that mocks you wherever you go and ruins you at every turn, every chance you may have to own a new endeavor you can truly call your own, and never, will it be taken from you………again.

Not four seconds into the movie La La Land, is my worst fear realized: for there is my old car, my 1977 Toyota Corolla, that I named ‘The Mustardmobile’.

Damn! My old car is the star of the show! Walt and Hollywood have done this before!

I whipped out my infamous camera, and start shooting. I need this evidence, that Belle and Marilyn, conspired to steal our story – my story! And now it is their story, the tale of The wrathful Muses, The Fallen Angels of my attempt to have it all…….The Past, The Present, and the Future. And to prove I am not deluded, not imaging things, here come the Blue Bicycles – Belle’s Bicycle – that is the symbol of my soaring dream, and my humiliating downfall. Mia and Sebastian come out of a on-lot Deli, and up ride folks on blue Schwinns – just like the one I gave Belle – to model for me! Rub it in! This is not synchronicity! This is pay back!

I make a whimpering sound that got the attention of my Mystery Date, who has gorgeous hair. She won’t let me get a pic of her face, Why! Was I alone? How many screenwriters, and wanna-be writers, knew La La Land was stolen from them. I was just another Sadsack, another chump, now digging thru my old photos and love letters – for the proof!

C’mon people! Between the A and the L. There it is, at the very center of the opening scene, that The Thief wants me to see, and, die inside: for he, or she, or they, have gotten over me – BIG TIME! One critic said La La Land was another example of Hollywood being in love with itself. Are you kidding, They made a movie about a evil car named ‘Christine’. How can anyone respect themselves after working on that monstrosity. I think take-it-up the ass, Cobian, was the stand by hot-wax guy on that one!

After the entrance of the Blue Bicycle, comes that hideous utterance from Sebastian where he accuses Mia of wanting him to fail, wanting him to be a total loser – and he loses her!

What the fuck! Somebody wants me to fail – BIG TIME! Was this always the case? I think it is time to consult an attorney! No one fucks with my Freedom of Expression. Not even Hollywood!

Zakir Hussain and Jake Feinberg

Two days ago Jake Feinberg responded to a post I made on his facebook regarding Ken Kesey’s cottage that I tried to keep from being torn down. It would have made a great place to broadcast a radio show. Jake asked me if I wanted to break-down my history of BEAF on the air. Right-wing radio is cranking out hatemongers by the ton.

I talked with Christine last night and she said she would like to be on Jake’s show. We might be able to get Peter Shapiro 0n with us. We talked about tripping with Bob Dylan. Christine is doing a prophetic reading of one of his albums. No one is talking to The Audience, Listeners and Dancers that made all these musicians great. In the beginning, they came first. American Bandstand got it right.

For over five years I have been posting on my idea for a musical ‘Love Dance’ starring the music of Love. I linked ‘Forever Changes’ to Bollywood music and dancing. I tune in Jake’s show and am hearing Zakir Hussain saying American music inspired Bollywood, and is going with what we have abandoned. My late friend, Bryan McClean, was a Bollywood Star before their was Bollywood. Bryan was Hollywood. His father was a famous architect who designed Elizabeth Taylor’s home. He learned to swim in her pool when she was dating Robert Stack, Bryan’s fathers best friend.

In 1965? Bryan took me to a new Hollywood club to hear him play. I was blown away. He was doing a solo act in this small club, and he had a following of the most beautiful young LA girls you ever saw. Bryan was very comfortable around people, and was a fantastic flirt. He played to these Daughters of Eros. For the next twenty years they are doing their thing in dance clubs in Oakland and Hayward. I claim I invented dancing without a partner at Oakland High when I was fifteen. I thought about dancing as an art form, and professionally. I went to a club when I was forty and the young girls lined up to learn my moves. Below is a pic of my muse who became a professional dancer. Bryan’s mother was a Flamingo dancer.

I read an account how Arthur Lee and Bryan met at a club. He saw what I saw. In the Indian religion you can attain a degree of enlightenment via erotica. I consider Arthur one of the best poets America ever produced, because he studied the vast, complex LA Social Scene, that was like the large cities of India, but, was stuck on board the Mayflower, and it was safe to worship Plymouth Rock. Everything, and everyone else, was suspect. Arthur moved freely across all the ethnic barriers and discovered what young women want. They love words! They want young men to talk to them, and reassure them this is all going to work. They also………..loved to dance!

THE CRAZY LOVE DRUG

Bryan became a roadie for the Byrds while still in HS. He was crushed because they could not take him on tour in Europe because he was seventeen. He tried to get me to go to the parties that the artist Vito Paulekis was throwing at his warehouse, but, I was trying to remain a – I Stand Alone Artist Against The LA Elusion. He mentioned orgies. Bryan started to teach me how to play the guitar, but, after learning four cords, I told him I did not want to learn more. I improvised. He showed me D tuning and I was doing a Sitar sound. Ravi Shankar was my idol.

Here are some amazing interviews with Carl Franzoni. You got to capture our stories before we get too old, Jake, because the names don’t pop up like they used to. The freaky Bohemian scene was not built over night, and the blue prints must be saved! Thanks for your good work.

Kesey had nothing on Paul. Being too cerebral and a writer, he never had groupies. All these old deadhead duffers and riffers looking like they stepped out of a Celtic Dragon movie, telling us like it was, had nothing on Arthur and Bryan’s dancers, the Cosmology of the Collective People’s Vibration, and the Feminine Woo-Woo Lovers of the World. India ate this up! Young women wanted to get sexy and dress sexy. This is an ancient idea.

Jim Morrison must have seen Bryan holding court. Love was his inspiration. The tale about the dead Indian on the road is bullshit. I think Jim’s friend, Michael McClure came up with that one. McClure helped put on the Gathering of the Tribes, but, no one danced. I danced at the Fillmore, once. I want to see Love Dance on Broadway before I die. I saw Janis Joplin at the Fillmore in 1966, and when she came off stage, she walked through the crown to the Coke machine. I was standing in a doorway, so I got a walk-by with deep look. We were so young! We pulled off a miracle!

I love Jake’s mission which is to be a Keeper and Connecter of this history. So much of it is floating on the river – to the sea – and will vanish forever. For months I have been planning on posting on the Bollywood dancing I did in the streets of Eugene. I told the gentleman from India I know of great American music to go with. I will e-mail this post to him.

In January of 2011 I started a radio show on AM 1330 in Tucson, AZ. I was set to investigate public policy.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the microphone. After three months of interviewing lawyers, unionized teachers, professors, authors and policy wonks I felt a bit soulless. It seemed that covering highly polarizing issues served to only further the void in authenticity, spiritualism and love that I had been seeking for my show.
I knew I needed to do something different. Something that incorporated intimacy, leadership, race, feeling, diversity and collaboration. At 33 years old I wanted to create a show that opened portals to new information from individuals who have not been asked to pontificate on their reality. In my search I realized that I desired to provide a bridge of knowledge for my generation, the and future communicators.  I didn’t want  paid surrogates, lobbyists or activists who speak in sound bites and colloquiums to be my mainstay.  My show would not be milk toast.

Real Terrorism

In the top photo you see Marilyn Reed, the wife of Kenny Reed, and, Joan Corbett, the daughter of Paul Corbett. Joan showed up late for dinner and found four members of her family, murdered. She was my wife’s best friend. I am investigating the outcome of this tragedy. Joan began to drink heavily because she suffered from PTSD.

“The scenes evoked grisly memories of the Manson killings. In August, Retired Insurance Broker Paul Corbett, his wife and sister-in-law were found dead, each shot in the back of the head with a .25-cal. gun, in the pantry of Corbett’s $100,000 home in the fashionable Chicago suburb of Barrington Hills. A fourth victim, Corbett’s stepdaughter, was dead in the blood-spattered kitchen, shot in the chest with a .30-cal. weapon. A month later Machine Designer Stephen Hawtree, his wife and teen-age son were executed in a similar fashion in the basement of their rural…”

Christine, Shannon, and Rick Partlow are seen together. Rick’s childhood friend, Lana Clark, was murdered by Phil Spector. Bryan’s friend, Sharron Tate was murdered by the Manson Family. Bryan was invited for dinner, but fulfilled another obligation, or, he would be dead. Marilyn’s sister exposed her to black radicals in Paris. My daughter’s mother had a child by a Black Panther.

Mary Ann was married to Thomas Pynchon, and was a good friend of Richard and Mimi Farina. Jeff and Shannon transformed the Whiteaker and revived the council. This is a Creative Bohemian grouping that Belle is now a part of, for I am beginning to understand she was acting out the philosophy of OCCUPY that tried to abolish hierarchies. WHY? I suspect the founders felt shut-out by the existing Radical Bohemian Hierarchy, and used the crash of Wall Street to usurp – US!

Members of the De Mau Mau were shut out by a hierarchy. They were losers. They beat up others to force them to adopt them as leaders. They chose their white victims at random. Charlie Manson was also shut out by a hierarchy. Bryan Wilson made the mistake of letting the Family live with him. They got crumbs off the big table.

“There never seemed any motivation in their violence. They were desperate men venting their frustration within the school. They had no way of living, no way to make money, no saleable skills,” Dr. Hurst said.

When I discussed Belle with Anand Holthem-Keathly, he said he and his son were not responsible for her actions. I suspect Anand is a WANTED radical back east. He undermined the Kesey Family Hierarchy with the help of the homeless – who would follow anyone who gave them a free hot dog at noon. Zane Kesey was confused. He did not know what hit him. I was his only defender of the Kesey legacy downtown.

Here is an article that anticipates the worst of Black Lives Matter who may have caused white Democrats to vote for Trump.

It is all about SWING VOTES! OCCUPY and BLACK LIVES took their eyes off the prize to engage in a Covert Hierarchy Power-play. Blacks voted for Trump. Women voted for Trump. Why? Was it his not so subtle promise to protect everyone from dangerous Blacks?

I suspect Clever Belle broke off from SLEEPS that broke off from OCCUPY in order to FREELANCE cut her own deals outside the Dog Pack Alley Gang. Belle usurped Alley who was a common member of OCCUPY, until she saw how the Homeless could make her the Queen of Downtown. She could be bigger than the Kesey Klan! I go in her way!

When Marilyn began to distant herself from me, and form a Black production company, she said she did not like the Hippies because they took their movement from Black musicians. No we didn’t. Peter Seeger was out Pied Piper, and Wood Guthrie. These Socialists wanted to take over the world. Jack London was on board. Socialists Germans founded the Republican Party and destroyed the Army of the South. Black slaves did not own guns, or, start a socialist revolution in America. White Men killed ten of thousands for social change.

Seeger was one of the folk singers responsible for popularizing the spiritual “We Shall Overcome” (also recorded by Joan Baez and many other singer-activists) that became the acknowledged anthem of the Civil Rights Movement, soon after folk singer and activist Guy Carawan introduced it at the founding meeting of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) in 1960. In the PBS American Masters episode “Pete Seeger: The Power of Song“, Seeger stated it was he who changed the lyric from the traditional “We will overcome” to the more singable “We shall overcome”.

CHICAGO, Oct. 15 — Eight members of a group called‐“De Mau Mau” gang, which was formed by dishonorably discharged black veterans of Vietnam, were charged today with nine murders, including the mass slayings of two white families.

The police said that the murders, which date to last spring, appeared to have been racially motivated and were linked by ballistic tests.

Six of the eight accused men, wearing Army fatigue jackets, were arraigned early today. The suspects, described by Cook County Sheriff Richard J. Elrod as “the gang leaders and the triggermen,” were held without bail in Cook County jail. Two other suspects were being sought.

Several of the suspects were expelled last spring from Malcolm X University, a city university on Chicago’s West Side where one official described them as “bitter and full of hatred.”

“We are hopeful we can solve a number of other terrible killings in the area,” Mr. Elrod said.

He identified the six arrested men as Reuben Taylor, 22 years old; Donald Taylor, 21; Michael Clark, 21; Nathaniel Burse, 23; Edward Moran Jr., 23, and Robert Wilson, 18, all of Chicago.

The six were charged with the slayings of Paul Corbett, a retired insurance executive, and his wife, stepdaughter, and sister‐in‐law in their Barrington Hills home near Chicago; three members of the Stephen Hawtree family in Monee, Ill.; Army Specialist 5 William Richter, in Highland Park, Ill., and Michael Gerchenson, a Southern Illinois University student whose body was found near West Frankfort, Ill. All the victims were white.

Dr. Charles G. Hurst Jr., president of Malcolm X, said that members of the gang were expelled from the school last spring after they had beaten up students and intimidated teachers.

‘It Was Pure Terror’

“It was pure terror,” Dr. Hurst said. “Members of the Mau Mau would intimidate and beat up students and teachers. They were just frustrated, bitter young men.”

In the spring members of the group were expelled from the college. The ritual hand clasp of the gang was barred from the campus.

Dr. Hurst said that the group had formed in Vietnam and that the men got together when they returned with dishonorable discharges to the United States. He said that he had no idea how many members were in the gang.

“There never seemed any motivation in their violence. They were desperate men venting their frustration within the school. They had no way of living, no way to make money, no saleable skills,” Dr. Hurst said.

‘Disqualified From Society’

“The men had been disqualified from society,” he said. “They were into drugs. The Mau Mau was just bitter men left to wander aimlessly.

“It was never a political group. I don’t think it had to do with color or race. It was just plain hatred.”

At a news conference earlier, Sheriff Elrod told newsmen that four members of the gang had been previously arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

“We had a good tip these linen might be involved in some of the unsolved crimes in the state,” he said. “After questioning, one lead led to another and we were able to charge four more members of the gang. We expect more arrests.” The sheriff added:

“We have the ringleaders and the triggermen now. We are hopeful we can solve a number of other killings in the area.”

Two of the men arrested were karate experts, the police said. The two had been arrested earlier by task force policemen after they attacked an undercover decoy in the subway, the police said.

“There’s not much I can say,” Dr. Hurst said. “I don’t know if these men are guilty. But it is all so tragic.”

CHICAGO, Oct. 17 (UPI)—A fugitive member of the De Mau Mau gang, sought on a murder warrant in an investigation of the execution‐style slayings of nine persons, walked into the chambers of a Criminal Court judge today and gave himself up.

“Darrell Patry just walked in with his lawyer and told Judge Earl Strayhorn he was giving himself up,” a spokesman for Sheriff Richard Elrod said.

The youth was turned over to the Jake County authorities.

Six young blacks, identified as members of De Mau Mau, were arrested last weekend and charged with the nine murders including the slaying of two white families.

Garland D. Jackson. 22 years old is still being sought on a fugitive warrant, the police said.
