There is a photo of Belle Burch standing with John Monroe and Ambrose Holtham-Heathly. Did Alley Valkryie take it? At our meeting, Belle told me she wanted to be a radical artist, thus, I suspect Alley is her hero. Is there compitition here? When did Belle show Alley this blog?
Being Ms. Valkyrie considers everything “politics” then Belle and Alley launched one of the most vicious political smear campaigns in the history of politics – that Mayor Kitty Piercy is aware of.
How interesting that I am writing about labyrinths seventeen years ago. When was Belle’s father sending people into a labyrinth while her mother played otherworldly music? I was going to make Belle Burch, a total stranger, heir to my family legacy after I die, because my siblings and daughter hate art and artists, because, they are ignorant an uncultured.
Too bad Belle chose to take her art lessons from Valkyrie.
Lauren Regan has helped folks associated with OCCUPY. Regan is representing Alley and Belle after their arrest for trespassing. Since 1997 I have been trying to get advocate attorneys interested in my struggle to keep my familie’s creative legacy in my family. However, when I point out who they would be up against, they are not interested. I am suggesting the cause of the mortgage meltdown can be traced to Lawrence Chazen a financial advisor for the Getty family who works alongside Paul Pelosi.
“This is a case where a first-year law student would say ‘Duh,’” Valkyrie says, and she questions why the county “keeps wasting its resources trying to deny people their rights.”
Regan says the unconstitutional bans on exercising First Amendment free speech rights in the federal and county plazas leave the Civil Liberties Defense Center with “no choice but to challenge them and to bring them to court.”
Lauren Regan takes her work seriously, and has much to be proud of. I will be sending her this post along with Alley Valkyrie’s post on Kitty Piercy’s FB. It is clear I am a activist who Regan may consider representing because I know who the Bad Guys are.
“This man’s name is John Gregory Presco, DOB 10/8/1946. He lives in Springfield, Oregon.
He frequents Eugene, especially the Whiteaker neighborhood, and regularly shows up at activist events. He is a stalker, a harasser, and an obsessed de…lusional sicko.
If you need a concrete example of his behavior and why I am posting this, his delusional writings can be found at https://rosamondpress.wordpress.com/
If you see him in your neighborhood, on the street, or anywhere, call him out. Expose him. Make it known that you will not accept and tolerate someone who harasses and obsesses over young women in our community. This man is a very sick individual. Anyone who deliberately makes women feel unsafe should not be tolerated in this or any community.”
Above is a letter I received from HUD in April 2000, in responce to a letter I sent Andrew Cuomo about predatory loans made by my late father and his private lender, Lawrence Chazen. It was Vic Presco, and Chazen, who hooked up Garth Benton with Christine Rosamond after learning they were artists. Chazen was a partner in the Plumpjack winery with most members of the Getty and Pelosi family. I am told HUD is about to found a Task Force On Predatory Lending that may have led to the subprime Mortgage Crisis.
What I am putting together is the idea of American Royalty that includes Hollywood Stars, and the children of the very rich. Carrie Fisher wrote a screen plan about Rosamond who is kin to Liz Taylor, who is kin to the Gettys. All these folks had a big problem with drugs and alcohol. It was my hope my sobriety, and my Nazarite Order, would save many from the disease of addiction. My history, my gifts, my spiritual programs, were rejected by those close to Rosamond, simply because it was believed I was qualifying myself as a member of the Inner Circle, and as a Living Artist, would somehow negate their idea of a Dead Artist Sale.
Above is a photo of Chazen at the reopening of the Rosamond Gallery. The black balloons that advertise the Dead Artist Sale, soar above Larry’s head. I have studied art and culture since I was twelve. I subscribe to the truth that our art is the blueprint for how we live our normal lives. Art is the litmus paper, the true prophet that sounds a real warning that something is going terribly wrong. Years before Christine died, I understood the commercialization of Rosamond, spelled doom for our society. Rosamond was the Rose Bubble, bound to burst one day. This is why I kept myself away, but was drawn in only when I wanted to know – how the Rose of the World died!
Here is a CEO of Noble Oil going after my niece, Shannon Rosamond.
“I am a member in good standing of the State Bar of California and an attorney on record for 50% interest in Shannon Rosamond. In my 16 years as a member of the State Bar California, I have never experienced a more deliberate fraud on any court or more reckless and calculated attempt to fraudulently take control of a probate estate at the exclusion of the lawful heirs and total manipulation of a tester’s intent that the present efforts of Attorney’s Robin Beare, Lawrence J. Chazen and Garth Benton, the descendants former spouse.”
“Over the specific argument of Ms. Beare, Judge Silver refused to appoint Mr. Chazen. Neither Ms. Beare nor Mr. Chazen disclosed to the court the very critical fact that Mr. Chazen has the largest single creditor’s claim against the estate and is a former business partner and business associate of Garth Benton who the court had removed as Special Administer just moments before.”
Newsom’s annual income from 1996 to 2001 topped $439,000 per year, according to tax returns he provided. Most of it came in wages and dividends from the same Getty-backed concerns.”
Alley Valkyries threatened to sick her attorney on me. If it were not for men like Lawrence Chazen, Alley would be utterly invisible.
Here is Chazen claiming politics in Washington has brought this trouble down upon his head. Thousands of Americans lost their homes and became homeless due to men like Chazen. If only Cuomo and Washington had stayed on his back, and dug a little deeper – like I asked! Real homeless people do not want to be anointed a player in the art world by a attorney. Only a half dozen vain and deluded folks have such desires.
“”I think there’s a real problem that (HUD) is trying to solve, but that this loan does not fall within the problem,” Chazen said Friday.
“Media being misled'<
“I think the media is being misled, and I think there are a lot of political overtones from both local attorneys and politicians in Washington,” he said.”
Here is Garth Benton’s mural in Bob Hope’s house. Thanks to Alley, Belle has been spared the anguish that artists and their models, suffer. Will Regan get a law passed making it illegal for an old artist to chase his young model around his easel?
“And I’m done with patriarchal abusive bullshit.”
Me thinks she is stealing a play from the Lesbian’s playbook in order to render herself Artistico El Surpremo. These are the New Pharisees, where almost divine laws are made for atheists and wiccans so they can be savior’s too, but, without the Biblical Patricarchs. Regan will now help you rescue lab animals, and models from being crucified. Artsy Alley turns Belle from a twenty three year old ball-busting bitch, to a lone little girl swinging on the swing in the playground, she in need of a fresh cause, some raw meat. The real Art World never had a victim quite like ‘Little Belle’.
“La Belle Noiseuse”
Only after I received the ‘Hate Letter’ from Valkyrie, did Belle call me up and ask me not to contact her. She demanded I remove everything I wrote about her and her people. I’m sorry, the real art world, and freedom of the press, does not work like that. Only in the whacky and wonderful world of ragamuffins does one’s Alice in Wonderland Dreams, come true.
In Palm Springs, Mrs. Hope commissioned the artist Garth Benton, who painted the murals on the garden walls at the Getty Villa educational center and museum in Malibu, to paint a Rousseau-like mural on the back wall of the bar, and a lush, greenhouse-like wall of plants in the spa, which houses a pool, a hot tub and an exercise area.
The murals on the J. Paul Getty Museum’s garden walls have been seen by millions of visitors since the Malibu institution opened 20 years ago. But who knew that the artist who painted–and is now restoring–the realistic likenesses of columns, garlands and still-life arrangements is Garth Benton, a third cousin of Thomas Hart Benton? The 53-year-old artist never met his famous relative, an American regionalist painter who rejected modern abstraction and championed a muscular style of realism until his death in 1975. But the younger Benton was turned on to art at the age of 8 when he saw a book of his relative’s paintings, and he occasionally corresponded with the late artist, who spent much of his life in his home state of Missouri.
Emboldened by their hot-shot lawyer, Lauren Regan, and believing they are big players in the art world, the activist lover team of John and Alley go after me, they promising to destroy my reputations and fill me with fear – for the sake of Belle Burch. Artists are not made and destroyed by critics these days. Here is a sad ending to the Eugene Arts Scene that Kitty Piercy worked so hard to make credible. Regan’s reputation has been brought down a notch of two.
“Facebook message from Alley Valkerie
“I’m going to make this very simple for you. I don’t know if you know who I am, but I sure as hell know who you are, and when you fuck with my friends, you fuck with me. Stop writing about Belle or I am going to make your life very difficult. I mean it. If I see one more word about her on your blog, your FB, or anywhere else, I will make sure that you experience all the fear and discomfort that she is experiencing right now. And no, this isn’t a physical threat, so don’t try to play victim. Frankly, I encourage you to contact EPD, as they already know all about you. I will not do anything illegal, but mark my word you will regret it if you write one more word about her. I will make sure that the entire community knows exactly how much of a sick fuck you are. Your picture, your name, and “samples” of your writing will be posted on every bulletin board in town. There will not be a single person in the Eugene/Springfield area who won’t know that you’re a sick stalker who won’t leave a stalker who won’t leave a young girl alone. Cut it out. Now. This is your first, last, and only warning.”
Alley Valkerie on facebook message.
“Please, go ahead and blog my threat.
You have no fucking idea what you’re getting yourself into
You also have no idea how many people are already on to you, and how many people have my back. We also have six other mutual friends who are going to learn about your behavior ASAP
And just so you know as well: if you write anything about me that could be construed as defamatory, you will be hearing from my lawyers ASAP.”
“His desire to be an artist (fueled by his mother, who suppressed his sister’s talents so he could be the family star, see my post earlier in the thread for the links to demonstrate this) is his way of desperately seeking immortality as he gets closer to death. I imagine his belief that Alley wants Belle for herself has something to do with his own erotic phantasies, obviously still running just fine regardless of whether his genitals work. His desire to demonstrate his superior masculinity is linked to obvious male socialization patters. Cf. Oregon Duck rape scandal(s).

Hon. Richard M. Silver and the Failure of the ACLU
“The Heisler grandchildren have carried on that tradition.”

“I objected to the owner of this important legacy pandering to
Lesbians, a tactic used when Rosamond was alive to sell her beautiful
images of women. I explained to Judge Richard M. Silver that my
sister and I were Grail Artists who were influenced by the Pre-
Raphaelites who employed Grail themes in their work.”
Three days ago I discovered Honorable Richard M. Silver, the Superior
Court Judge who handled the Probate of my late sister, the world
famous artist, Christine Rosamond Benton, was a partner of the late
Francis Heisler, the famous ACLU lawyer. Judge Silver retired in 2002
and is active in the Heisler Moot Court Competition. This is profound
for I made an appeal to the ACLU of Eugene Oregon to take my case. In
a lengthy document I name Judge Silver as my nemesis as he had
approved the sale of my families Literary and Artistic Legacy to an
outsider (Stacey Pierrot) who was hostile towards me, and lied about
having an interest in my families Partnership prints. I suggested
Silver may also be hostile towards my claim because of my objection
to the advertisement of the lesbian novel `Love Match’ on what should
have been my nieces Rosamond Gallery webpage. The owner of the
Rosamond Gallery, Stacey Pierrot, had hired Sandra Faulkner the
author of `Love Match’ to write Christine’s biography, but, according
to my sister, Vicki Presco, she quit the project and absconded with a
$5,000 dollar advance.
In the many letters I sent Judge Silver, and the Special Executor he
was forced to appoint, I plead with these Men of Law not to sell my
families artistic legacy to an outsider, along with our Program of
Recovery. I also speak of my novel I was authoring on the Holy Grail.
I told these lawyers that I was Christine’s teacher and that I was
influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites who reintroduced Courtly Love into
Victorian England. In researching my genealogy, I discovered Denis de
Rougemont who explores this theme in his `Love in the Western World’.
With my profound discovery the Rosemont family of Louvain were Swan
Brethren and thus connected to Philip of Alsace, Robert Bruce, and
the Bouillon brothers, makes these letters filed in Christine’s
probate a real part of modern day Grail research, and the attempt to
RECOVER what has been lost when it came to be owned by the WRONG
PEOPLE. The story of Parcival and the Fisher King, is a story about
such a recovery, and the restoration of the Grail Family.
The ACLU has come to CHAMPION Gays and Lesbians, as have Nancy Pelosi
and Gavin Newsom, who were business partners of Lawrence Chazen, an
ex-partner of Christine and No.1 creditor in the Probate. Chazen was
a Getty man, their financial advisor as was Gavin’s father.
There is a cultural battle going on, where Evangelical leaders and
Lesbians want to tell women how to love and whom to love!. Bull
Dikes are championing Women’s Rights in order to protect all women
from men. What this is, is a competition, where only Bull Dikes own a
RIGHT to adore women, lust after them, and truly understand them.
This theme takes on real life when the tennis star, Martina
Navratilova, comes to live in the home of a Texas Beauty Queen, and
soon lusts after the Unattainable Woman, which is the core theme of
Courtly Love. The No.1 Lesbian song seems to touch upon Nelson’s
dilemma in this line
“Why do you come here, when you know I’ve got troubles enough? Why do
you call me, when you know I can’t answer the phone?”
The founder of the Victorian Web cuts out a collegiate niche for
himself in attacking the Pre-Raphaelites right to adore and worship
women like they do. This is to say many folk go to college and then
look for a cause to atache their expensive education to. This appears
to be the case of Honorable Richard M. Silver and the Heislers.
Francis Heisler’s wife championed the Antiwar Movement, and as a
psychiatrist and a civil libertarian, wrote a book on mental health
and civil liberties.
“The Heisler grandchildren have carried on that tradition.
I wrote much about my families mental illness that was sorely used by
outsiders. I begged these legal people not to sell my AA Program to
outsiders and quoted the second step “Came to believe a power greater
then ourselves could restore us to sanity.”
I am poor, and was threatened by Ms. Pierrot’s second ghost writer,
who told me if I did not sign the Exclusive Rights contract he sent
me, then he and several lawyers were prepared to “play hard ball”
My eloquent letter to the ACLU was ignored because I accused one of
their own of Legal Negligence that would result in future loss of
life by members of my family. We do all the dying, and they get all
our Art and Story to extract money from.
I was on the front lines in the antiwar movement and was there making
love in the Summer of Love. Lesbians and Leftwing Lawyers took over
the Hippie Movement that changed the world, and cut out a well-paying
and powerful niche for themselves that caters to their own kind, and
not the Rights of All the People. That my brother, the right-wing neo-
Nazi, and my sister, the fraudulent, approved of the sale of
Rosamond’s legacy to outsiders so they can take secret profits, will
prove the Biggest Failure of the ACLU – if I can help it!
As fate would have it, Lillian Hellman, a great friend of the ACLU
and was involved in Rougemont’s CCF.
CUOMO TO ESTABLISH NATIONAL TASK FORCE ON PREDATORY LENDING
WASHINGTON – Calling it “the downside of an economic upturn” which has produced the highest homeownership rates in the nation’s history, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo today announced that he will convene a national task force and hold hearings to determine how to “eliminate the nightmare of predatory lending from the American dream of homeownership.”
In testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee today, the Secretary said he would use authority under the Fair Housing Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) to convene a HUD Task Force On Predatory Lending and conduct publichearings in at least four cities to recommend strategies to combat predatory lending. The first hearing will be in Baltimore, which HUD also intends to use as an operational laboratory to examine and address predatory lending practices.
The growing trend of predatory lending in the booming subprime mortgage lending market has been well-documented by regulators, including the Federal Reserve and FDIC, academics and community groups. Evidence indicates that the vast majority of mortgage fraud and predatory lending activities – including excessive fees, provision of credit life insurance and prepayment penalties – occurs in the conventional subprime lending market. Subprime lenders generally do not make government-backed loans and often operate outside of the current federal regulatory structure.
This relatively new sector of the mortgage market is booming. HUD estimates that subprime loan volume has grown from $20 billion in 1993 to more than $150 billion in 1998.
“The economic boom which has produced the highest homeownership rate in history has a downside and that is predatory lending,” Cuomo said. “Though HUD has moved aggressively to eliminate thousands of unqualified appraisers and dozens of lenders from FHA housing programs, the simple fact is that many of these same lenders and appraisers are in the conventional mortgage market often charging exorbitant fees, imposing onerous terms and saddling families with debts they’ll never be able to retire. Just as HUD has moved to eliminate predatory lending from FHA programs, we must move and move now to eliminate them from the conventional market.”
Baltimore, which has recently seen a significant increase in predatory lending abuses, will serve as the site of the first hearing and as a case study to understand how the practices subvert a real estate market and what steps can be taken to eliminate the practices. A complete hearing schedule will be released by HUD shortly.
HUD’s Task Force On Predatory Lending will include Paul Reid of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Tom Downs of the National Association of Home Builders, Steve Kest of ACORN, Peter Skillern of the Community Reinvestment Coalition of North Carolina, John Taylor of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, Gail Cincotta of the National Training Institute-Chicago, Ken Strong of the South East Community Development Corporation, Eric Belsky of Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing, Vincent Quayle of the St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, Boise Mayor Brent Coles, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, and Los Angeles City Attorney James Hahn.
Cuomo said HUD’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has already taken a number of steps to eliminate predatory lending practices from its programs. The Homebuyer Protection Plan protects borrowers from bad appraisals and Credit Watch, a program that terminates lenders with excessive default rates from FHA programs.
Cuomo said FHA is the only lender in the nation to require mandatory testing of appraisers and, further, the only one to require an assessment of the physical condition as part of property appraisals. He said that many of FHA’s reforms could serve as a model for combating predatory lending in the conventional housing market.
The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, passed in 1974, was intended to help homebuyers fully understand the terms of their loans and to protect them against terms or practices that could cause them to lose money, credit worthiness or their homes. Under RESPA, the HUD Secretary is authorized to conduct hearings to investigate conditions and practices that bear upon provisions of the Act and to prescribe regulations or recommend legislation to correct any problems. The Secretary is also empowered to issue subpoenas in furtherance of these hearings.
Cuomo made this announcement at a hearing of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on HUD’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2001. President Clinton has proposed increasing the HUD budget by $6 billion to $32.1 billion, the strongest HUD budget in more than 20 years, with increases in every program area.
In his testimony, Cuomo thanked the members of the Committee for their support of HUD initiatives in recent years, including an increase to the FHA mortgage insurance limits, funding of 110,000 new rental assistance vouchers, public housing reform act, and a tripling of the budget for programs that help the homeless.
HUD’s proposed fiscal year 2001 budget would provide 120,000 new housing vouchers; increase funding for public housing, elderly housing, homeless services, the Community Development Block Grant program and fair housing enforcement; and fund an additional 10 Empowerment Zones.
The President’s budget also calls for funding to the American Private Investment Corporation to leverage some $1.5 billion in private investments in low- and moderate-income areas; a $30 million Community Gun Safety and Violence Reduction initiative; and a dramatic increase in funding to create jobs and promote economic development in distressed communities.
In his testimony, Cuomo also reported that FHA is in its strongest financial condition since it was created in 1934, with a record economic value of $16.6 billion. A recent independent report on FHA by the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche found that FHA has made a remarkable turnaround from just ten years ago. The FHA Insurance Fund had an economic value of a negative $2.7 billion in 1990.
In response to a Deloitte & Touche report found that the FHA Insurance Fund for fiscal year 1999 was more than $5 billion above previous estimates, in March President Clinton directed Secretary Cuomo, Office of Management and Budget Director Jack Lew and Domestic Policy Council Director Bruce Reed to provide “recommendations on how newly available funds can be used to further strengthen federal housing programs and develop a plan to enhance comprehensive affordable housing opportunities.”
The recommendations could include subsidizing the construction of new affordable rental housing, down payment assistance programs to increase homeownership, funding for new rental assistance vouchers and other initiatives.
Cuomo also reported that FHA’s reformed processes for disposition of HUD-owned homes has reduced the time it takes HUD to sell homes by 20 percent, increased the sales price per property by 19 percent and increased HUD recoveries on insurance claims by $4,500 per property, resulting in savings of more than $260 million.
In his testimony, the Secretary also reiterated his call for the Congress to provide an additional 120,000 rental assistance vouchers. He noted that a HUD report issued earlier this week – Rental Housing – The Worsening Crisis – found that at least 5.4 million very-low-income families presently not receiving HUD assistance are paying over half their income for housing or live in severely distressed housing, an increase of 12 percent since the nation’s economic recovery began in 1991.
The same HUD report found that the rental housing that is affordable to families with incomes below 30 percent of area median income had shrunk by 370,000 units, or five percent, between 1991 and 1997.
HUD’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2001 calls for an additional 120,000 rental assistance vouchers, including 10,000 vouchers for HUD’s housing production programs. The housing production vouchers are expected to lead to the production of an additional 40,000 units of affordable, mixed-income housing.
Cuomo told the Committee that HUD’s HOPE VI program already had demolished some 52,000 units of dilapidated public housing and had committed some $3.5 billion for 124 new projects that will provide 62,000 units of housing.
He also noted that, consistent with language in last year’s Conference report, HUD had moved forward to “bridge the digital divide” and expected to have established some 1,000 new cyber-centers in HUD-assisted and public housing complexes over the next two years.
John Paul Getty, who has been described as “a swinging playboy who drove fast cars, drank heavily, experimented with drugs and squired raunchy starlets”, eschewed the family business, Getty Oil, during this period, much to the chagrin of his father. However, in later years, he became a philanthropist and (as a US citizen) received an honorary British knighthood in 1986. His luxury yacht, built in 1927 and renovated in 1994, was the MY Talitha G.
In July 1968, the Gettys had a son, Tara Gabriel Gramophone Galaxy, who became a noted ecological conservationist in Africa, dropped his third and fourth forenames, and took Irish citizenship in 1999. He and his wife Jessica (a chalet maid he met in Verbier) had three children, including a daughter named Talitha.
While still working for Shorenstein, Newsom formed his first business partnership, PlumpJack Associates, to open a wine shop on Fillmore Street. His partner was Gordon Getty’s son, William or “Billy” as he’s called, whom Newsom had known since boyhood. He said Gordon Getty invested between $7,500 and $15, 000.
The wine shop opened in 1992. Other ventures followed. By last year, Newsom had created a network of limited partnerships and holding companies to own and operate businesses and investments in San Francisco, Napa Valley, Squaw Valley and Maui.
Most are part of the PlumpJack group, which in addition to the wine shop includes the upscale PlumpJack Cafe, also on Fillmore Street, the PlumpJack winery and an online wine outlet.
Other Newsom partnerships own two popular Cow Hollow night spots, the venerable Balboa Cafe and the MatrixFillmore bar, which features designer cocktails, a plasma screen video system and tables shaped as letters S, E and X. Other partnerships run the Squaw Valley Inn, or are associated with PlumpJack and Balboa cafes at the ski resort.
And while Newsom contended that Gordon Getty is only one financial backer of many, records show the billionaire is Newsom’s top outside investor, either individually or through his firms and family trusts.
Getty owns 49 percent of the concern that manages all the PlumpJack businesses; 96 percent of the winery; 96 percent of the partnership that runs the Squaw Valley Inn; and more than 80 percent of Newsom’s real estate development firm (recently, Getty and Judge Newsom bought him out, Newsom says). Getty has a smaller stake in the other businesses, but he’s still the lead outside investor in most.
Getty declined to be interviewed for this story. In response to written questions, he said he treats Newsom like a son and invested in Newsom’s first business because of that relationship. “After that,” he said, “the reason for my further investments was the success of the first.”
Getty’s son Billy also invested in five businesses, and other Gettys, including Gordon’s wife, Ann, own stakes in some.
Other investors represent a slice of upper-strata San Francisco: a firm associated with Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi; high-society plastic surgeon Jack Owsley; even TV newscaster Ross McGowan, whose morning news show has often showcased Newsom the politician.

Lawrence J. Chazen, Inc. is a financial investment advisory firm headquartered in Carmel, California. The firm manages 3 accounts totaling an estimated $8 Million of assets under management.
Lawrence J. Chazen, Trustee
Larry Chazen grew up in Iowa. He was educated at the University of Colorado where he earned a B.A. in Accounting and Law degree. His career focus has been as an investment manager and advisor. Larry is both a CPA and a member of the California Bar and, since 1994, has served on the Board of Noble Corporation – a Fortune 500 company. He is an owner of the Carmel Restaurant Group, which includes Grasing’s and Kurt’s Carmel Chop House restaurants. Larry and his wife Cece (who grew up in Pacific Grove) live in Carmel and have three children and two grandchildren. Larry enjoys hiking and travel.
Aileen Getty is an artist. She married Christopher Wilding, son of Elizabeth Taylor, and has two sons- one with Wilding, the other adopted. Aileen became HIV-positive in 1984, and developed full-blown AIDS in 1990. However, she and Taylor are still very close, as well as devoted AIDS activists.
The Chop House, like its older sibling and neighbor, Grasing”s, is owned by a trio of intense devotees of food: Kurt Grasing, Narsai David and Larry Chazen. Grasing is executive chef of both restaurants and is unpretentious enough to fill any temporary vacancy in the kitchen, from pantry chef (cold food) on up. David is well known in the Bay Area as a chef, culinary educator, media personality, and owner of Narsai”s restaurant in Kensington.
I don”t know of any other local restaurants with the double-barrel ownership of two chefs, so I have high expectations for every aspect of the experience.
The wine list has been honed to a polish, including selections from Narsai”s personal cellar. If you throw a dart at the list, chances are you”ll be well over $40 for red and $30 for white, but there are a few wines below these points.
Now, twenty years later, the Heisler Moot Court also serves as
recognition of Francis Heisler’s wife, Dr. Friedy Heisler, a retired
psychiatrist and a civil libertarian herself who, with the ACLU and
her many friends, family and colleagues in California and Chicago
worked to endow the Francis Heisler Moot Court Fund. Dr. Friedy
Heisler attended each moot court program as long as she was able,
until her death in 1997. The Heisler grandchildren have carried on
that tradition. Members of the Monterey County Chapter of the ACLU
continue to support the Heisler Moot Court financially and also by
attending each year. The ACLU is proud of its role in founding the
Heisler Moot Court and grateful to Monterey College of Law professors
Michael Stamp and Joel Franklin, who serve as the program directors,
and MCL students for making the Heisler Moot Court a fitting tribute
to the work of Francis Heisler and the importance of preserving civil
liberties in our generation.
HONORABLE RICHARD M. SILVER (Ret.)
Judge Richard M. Silver served as a Monterey County Superior Court
Judge from 1977 until his retirement from the bench in 2002. He is
past Presiding Judge of the Court and has served by special
assignment on the Court of Appeal. Judge Silver received his L.L.B.
degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall in 1966.
He was a law partner of Francis Heisler and is one of the founders of
Monterey College of Law, where he serves as a member emeritus of the
Board of Trustees. Judge Silver is active with the
NationalJudicialCollege, participates annually in the Heisler Moot
Court Competition, and received the first honorary degree ever
awarded from MCL in 1998.
