Several years ago I wrote my Congressman, Peter Defazio, about Al-Queda’s attempt to blow a nuclear plant in Sydney during the Summer Olympics of 2000. He sent my e-mail to homeland security who wrote me a letter – that lied about there being a threat. Why the cover-up? Bush and his cronies were promoting nuclear power all over the world that entailed getting investors – who would back out if they knew Bin Laden might blow a plant, creating a public outcry against nuclear plants, thus, Laden would be victorious.

A study in the 90s concluded nuclear plants were vulnerable to hijacked airliners, thus, the possibility terrorists would use airliners as a bomb was consider before September 11, 2001. Bush was playing games with Laden – and lost!

“Far fetched? Perhaps, but perhaps not. The London Sunday Times ran a
circumstantially convincing article on October 21, 2001 that Flight 93 may well
have been heading for Three Mile Island. The Washington Post reported on October
30 that an Osama bin Laden associate named Salahuddin Khaled, jailed in
Afghanistan, said that the September 11 hijackers should have flown into a U.S.
nuclear power plant. The International Atomic Energy Agency has admitted that no
commercial reactors in the world are designed to withstand the impact of a large
jetliner at high speed with a load of fuel.”

The trial had earlier been told how Hambali provided Roche with access to
al-Qaeda officials including Osama bin Laden, and how he travelled to
Afghanistan via Pakistan to meet them. The notes of these meetings described how
al-Qaeda had agreed to have three white Australian Muslims undertake firearms
and explosives training in Afghanistan, while Roche co-ordinated operations in
Australia. The conspiracy between Roche and al-Qaeda is alleged to have occurred
between February 15 and September 30, 2000. Earlier, Jacqueline Anne Wood, the
former partner of Roche’s son, told the court that while staying in Roche’s

terrorism, as during the 1991 Gulf War when security was increased. The Georgia
Institute of Technology closed its research reactor in late 1995, because of
concerns that the weapons-useable highly-enriched uranium fuel could be a target

Brigadier Philip McNamara, the Special Forces commander, told a luncheon
gathering of current and former military officers on February 29. “We are
prepared to meet any challenge.”These authorities are anxious to protect the
multi-billion dollar commercial interests of the sponsors, advertisers and
authorised media outlets. “The intent is very clearly there to make sure there
is as much legislative clout to protect the operations of the Games and the key
stakeholders,” Olympic Co-ordination Authority director-general David Richmond
told a conference of Olympic sponsors on February 29.

“There’s no reason for the United States taxpayers to get stuck with another $50
billion tab for building new reactors that Wall Street won’t fund,” argued
longtime anti-nuclear activist Harvey Wasserman”

Cheney’s own Halliburton-Brown and Root energy axis has more than enough
connections with leaders of OPEC members to influence OPEC’s pricing policies.

Perhaps in deference to his buddies at Brown and Root who make nuclear plants,
Cheney said his energy policy team would take another look at building some new
nuclear generating plants that have no “adverse consequences” on global warming.

Yesterday, Dick Cheney accused the President of United States of “pretending”
the War on Terrorism does not exist and is emoldening our enemies by being weak.
Later that day, a suicide bomber killed eight CIA agents in Afghanistan.

This question begs to asked, did ex-Vice President Cheney do to President Bush
what he does to President Barack Obama? Did President Bush wake each morning to
this shrieking skull of pure terror that bid our President to go to war with
anyone who looks like our enemy? If so, why didn’t the Pretend President bid
Bush to protect nuclear plants that experts said were vulneralbe to hijacked
jets – before 911? If so, then Cheney ‘The Screaching Siren’ failed to warn the
REAL PRESIDENT of the United States – and the people of the United States of
America! Cheney only sounds off in public to get votes for the Republican Party.

people, money laundering and other activities, but “certainly not terrorism.”

However, Greenpeace activists, conservation groups and nearby residents were not
convinced and converged on the site of Australia’s only nuclear reactor to
protest that the plant was old, leaky and long a security threat.

The $50 billion of loan guarantees for nuclear power plants could have led to
the construction of a new generation of nuclear power plants at a time when
other sources of energy are growing much faster, said environmental groups.

Legally, US President Bill Clinton, who is planning to attend the Olympics,
would have to obtain permission from Prime Minister John Howard before deploying
US forces on Australian soil. But an Australian government source told the
Brisbane Courier-Mail last December: “The reality is the US will act alone if
necessary. We should be prepared to act together, but if United States’
interests or people are threatened, the world’s policeman will go it alone.”

There are already signs that “terrorist” scares will be used to accustom public
opinion to a large-scale police-military presence during the Games. Last week a
Turkish immigrant worker from Sydney’s west was arrested and charged with
threatening to destroy planes carrying athletes from the US, France, Britain and
Israel to the Olympics. The week before, Australian intelligence agencies
suddenly informed the media that they had identified groups linked to Saudi
millionaire Osama bin Laden as a threat to the Games. Both stories were afforded
front-page treatment.

NSW police chief Peter Ryan has sought to justify the security build-up by
describing the Sydney Olympics as “an almost irresistible magnet to terrorist
groups”. Other security commanders, however, have rated the danger of terrorism
as low.

One senior police officer involved in Games security, Inspector David Darcy has
warned that police may react violently to silent or non-violent protests in the
lead-up to the Olympics. His threat came in a letter to the Olympic Impact
Coalition, an organisation of groups campaigning against the social costs of the
Olympics, in which Darcy insisted that police must be notified in advance of any
protest actions.

My Letter to Peter Defazio

The 2008 Olympic Trails are being held here in Eugene Oregon at Hayward Field.
The security is very tight. At the 2000 Olympics, Al-Qeda threatened to blow up
a nuclear plant near the Olympic stadium – tw0 montths before 911. Greenpeace
took the threat seriously while others played it down.

Security and Intelligence Organization (ASIO) was investigating claims that bin
Laden was trying to recruit members in t he city. Police were on alert following
allegations, which emerged in a court case in which an Iraqi national was
accused of attacking a family for refusing to join bin Laden’s extremist Muslim
group. Security agencies in the United States, Canada and Britain were also
looking into the possible plot, according to local newspapers.

Evangelicals and Republicans are associating Obama with suicide bombers. McCain
wants to build a hundred nuclear plants in America.

Here is the letter I received from the U.S. Department of Justice in regards to
my letter you forwarded to them about the threat to the 2000 Olympic games. The
FBI assured me there was not threat, and “contrary to media accounts, no arrests
were made because no crime was committed.” However, today I found several
articles which say there were arrests made, and indeed a trial in underway.

Al-Qaeda targeted Olympics, By Martin Daly in Perth May 20, 2004Al-Qaeda planned
an attack during the Sydney Olympics and to target the Jewish community,
according to notes revealed during the trial of an Australian man accused of
plotting to bomb the Israeli embassy in Canberra. A notebook seized from Jack
Roche’s Perth home in 2002 describes in Indonesian how al-Qaeda leaders in
Afghanistan, Pakistan and Malaysia planned the attacks. The Melbourne Jewish
leader, businessman and football identity Joseph Gutnick was identified as an
important target.

The notebook says the goal is to have a “heavy” impact on the Jewish community
in hit-and-run attacks.Roche, 52, has pleaded not guilty in Perth District Court
to conspiring with senior al-Qaeda figures Mukhtar, Abu Hafs and Saifto plant a
truck bomb outside the Canberra embassy in 2000, shortly after returning from
explosives training at an al-Qaeda camp near Kandahar.

Indrawati Zifirdaus, an interpreter from Curtin University, yesterday read out
an English translation she made from the 20-page notebook. In it, Roche
describes meetings with al-Qaeda officials and Jemaah Islamiah figurehead
Hambali, and how they wanted the problems in Palestine to “be submitted again in
the minds of the people of theworld”.

“I met Hambali and we discussed about the possibility to dosomething in Sydney,
during the Olympic Games there, this year,” the notes read.”The main objective
here is that this operation will not only bedone once but . . . we will do
something again and disappear. Their decision is two important targets in
Australia – Israel embassyand/or Jews named Joe Gutnick.””I also need to find
other Jewish targets . . . for example whenthere is a meeting of a lot of
Jewish, etc”.

reactor.According to an Australian anti-nuclear campaigner a meltdown at the

leaving no time to evacuate suburbs, while normal reactors took 40 minutes to
melt down, as happened at Chernobyl. Melbourne’s Herald Sun newspaper reported

has been bugging the phones of the IAEA Director General, Mohamed El Baradei, as
part of a campaign to oust him and that United States officials approached Mr
Downer several months ago to ask him to run for the job instead.

this fictionalized version of events. Other reactors in the U.S., or anywhere
else, would fare worse, most much worse.
