Rep.-elect Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) is pushing back against President Trump’s suggestion that media coverage and programs like “Saturday Night Live” be challenged in court, calling the First Amendment “the backbone of American exceptionalism.”
Crenshaw late Sunday responded to Trump’s tweet by agreeing with the president that the media “deliberately misleads and spins.”
“It’s legal, and it needs to remain legal,” he added, however. “The 1st Amendment is the backbone of American exceptionalism.”

{mosads}Trump earlier Sunday lashed out at NBC and “SNL” hours after the comedy program featured a sketch that depicted life for Trump administration staffers had the president never been elected.
“A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live,” Trump tweeted. “It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal?”
Satirical speech and political speech are both protected by the First Amendment.
Trump has in the past suggested he may consider revoking NBC’s broadcast license. Broadcasting licenses are granted to individual stations instead of networks like NBC, however.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai said on multiple occasions last year that the FCC would not revoke those licenses on the basis of a station’s content.
Crenshaw, who was elected last month to represent Texas’s 2nd Congressional District, gained national attention after “SNL” comedian Pete Davidson mocked him for his eye patch, which he wears as a result of an injury sustained while serving as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan.
The politician went on the show a week later, where he and Davidson made amends.

Israeli officials are increasingly concerned that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is planning to seek arrest warrants for their military and political leaders on suspicion of war crimes.
Reports suggest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could be among them.
The ICC, based in The Hague, has been investigating Israel’s actions in the occupied territories for the past three years – and more recently the actions of Hamas as well. It has the power to charge and try individuals for the most serious crimes under international law.
It has previously issued arrest warrants for leaders including Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, and Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony.
Mr Netanyahu has called the prospect of senior Israel figures joining the wanted list “an outrage of historic proportions”, accusing the ICC of attempting to paralyse Israel’s ability to defend itself.

May 11 (Reuters) – Billionaire investor Kenneth Griffin called on his alma mater Harvard University on Saturday to embrace “Western values”, saying that the turmoil across college campuses was the product of a “cultural revolution” in U.S. education.
Griffin, founder of U.S. hedge fund Citadel, told the Financial Times in an interview that the U.S. had “lost sight of education as the means of pursuing truth and acquiring knowledge” over the past decade.

“Harvard should put front and centre (that it) stands for meritocracy in America…,” Griffin said, adding that schools should “embrace Western values that have built one of the greatest nations in the world.”
Griffin who has donated more than half a billion dollars to Harvard University said in January that he has halted donations to the school over how it handled antisemitism on campus.
“What you’re seeing now is the end-product of this cultural revolution in American education playing out on American campuses, in particular, using the paradigm of the oppressor and the oppressed,” Griffin told the FT.

“The protests on college campuses are almost like performative art..,” he said.
“Freedom of speech does not give you the right to storm a building or vandalise it,” he added.
“That’s not freedom of speech. That’s just anarchy.”
Griffin’s remarks come amid arrests of dozens of pro-Palestinian activists at universities across America in the latest crackdowns on demonstrations roiling U.S. campuses.

I will make the case in one of my books, that I am the victim of two witch-hunts, one by the Alley Gang Wiccans, and the Hefty Haffner Evangelical Haters. These two conflicting religious groups formed a bond in order to drive me out of my home, and Springfield.
When Alley Valkyrie sent me her threats, I responded to this one, saying Belle Burch had never told me to not contact her, or write about her. Five minutes later, Ms. Burch called me and asked me not to publish anything about her in my newspaper, Royal Rosamond Press. But, her compatriot had already launched an attack on me on her Facebook, which goes against their policy. Their attorney, Mary Broadhurst, objects, but she does not tell Alley to resort to legal action if she believes I am abusive. Almost everyone who read this HUNT knew Valkyrie wanted to USE HER DARK POWERS – have sport with me! She was looking foreward to doing a Victory Dance, when I slunk away – like the others! Alley and Belle had invaded the City Managers office when he practiced his right – not to meet with A WALK-IN MOB! Belle calls Riuz a “coward”. We are seeing a Wiccan Police Force that Kim Hafner applauds – with glee – after she gathered a Christine Posse to harass me and the cats that visited me.
There are authors and groups that are very keen on Witch-hunts. Descendants of the Cogswell family founded Eugene Oregon’s major newspapers, and are kin to George and Joaquin Miller – as well as Jack London. Two of the men were journalists, like myself. I am the alleged kin of John Wilson who I have shown descends the Schwarzenberg family, and may be the reasons he was born at Windsor Castle. I got a very Gothic book that I will lay on the steps of Eugene’s government. Inside I will ask why the Mayor and City Council did not back me up like John Cogswell and his family backed Goodwife Proctor.

Belle Burch did not identify herself as a advocate for the homeless – and a member of OCCUPY – at that meeting! I suspected Belle might run for office to get Kitty out of there, because she let John Riuz close down Whoville. Belle went to – THE ENFORCER – Alley Valkyrie. Both women had attorneys available. They could have sued me, do what normal people do. These are no normal people. These are very SPECIAL PEOPLE like QAnon. They get to overthrow -all governments that don’t do their will. The Cogswell family, have risen from their graves, and have come to my defense. They were at the trial of Elizabeth Proctor. They took a great risk by doing the right thing. Anonymous Donor Gives $400,000 for Homeless Camp in Eugene

An anonymous donor from Eugene has stepped forward with $400,000 to purchase property for a homeless camp in the city.
The $400,000 will be used to buy a piece of private property to create a place for homeless people to sleep. The donor has also asked that a health clinic be on site for residents and others in need.
Attorney Mary Broadhurst is a homeless advocate who’s worked with SLEEPS and residents of the recently shuttered illegal Whoville camp. She says she’s grateful.
The Cogswells were also involved in an attempt to prevent the execution of Goodwife Proctor in the Salem witch trials. According to Ipswich In The Massachusetts Bay Colony, 290-291, by Thomas Franklin Waters, The Ipswich Historical Society, 1905: “Five members of the Cogswell family were among the twenty prominent people who signed the petition drawn up by the Rev. Writing about Occupy Wall Street is a journalist’s nightmare. Not because there aren’t tens of thousands of protesters, charismatic talking heads and colorful photograph opportunities–there are plenty of those. After the death of my homeless friend, I decided it was time to stop grieving, and go to the Art Walk. There, I encountered Belle who hid her identity. Why? In a e-mail I decided to reveal my inner-self and sent her pics of me with energy around me. I suspect she shared all our private correspondence with Alley Valkyrie – The Queen of The Square – who became threatened. I could stake a claim – to all that she had marked as – HERS! If I got Belle away from her and her Downtown Cult, then I could raise MY BANNER over Ken Kesey Square. Alley lies when she says

Their video of the gathering was narrated by attorney Jean Stacey – who admits how controlled and orchestrated her activists are. That video was removed. The video above was made a month before I met Belle who just got arrested. She said nothing to me about her comrades who had created a highly controlled SIMM CITY HOMELESS ART COLONY in downtown Eugene – and were hitting people up for money! This took away from – REAL ARTISTS – who benefitted from the Art Walk, Jean reasoned The Housed were open to Bohemian Artists, and, if she could disguise her Commy Colony as a group of eccentric starving artists – normal people would open up their doors, hearts, and purse to them! I realized instantly the Nine Muses had given me a Victor Hugo novel – and a Dicken’s Tale? No way was I going to give it up – or Belle! Never! I see Jean and Mother Wiccan! She came from Florida. Belle Burch and Alley Valkyrie were aspiring artist and writers. When I met with Belle I asked her to co-author my auto-biography – that she offered to edit – for a fee. When she sent me an e-mail asking me to write and send in an e-mail – very personal information – I suspected she was trying to get around my Copyright. When I got threats from Alley, I suspected she talked to Belle, and both writers feared I would take charge of – their story – because I knew the Kesey Family and Pranksters.
