I’m addressing you directly to let you know, the history of your city is at the apex of world history in several important ways. When I contacted the Belmont Historical society, Kamala Harris was just elected Vice President. I pointed out she and I were born in Oakland where members of my family had moved to after the SF Earthquake. I was interested in finding out more about my family ancestor, Carl Janke, who built three Turnverein Halls. I was studying Muscular Judaism, that was inspired by the Turners, and took part in the Zionist Return beforeWW2. And thus they may not be connected with the radical Lehi and Stern Gangs that waged terrorist warfare against the British and the Palestinians, that has brought us all to the world-wide crisis that threatens a billion people! How dramatic!
Three years ago I contacted the Belmont Historical Society. For three days I got no response, or, greeting. Alas I got this Facebook message from Denny Lawhern;

I was shocked. You would think Mr. Lawhern would have greeted me – and asked my permission to use my family photos. I suspect he looked at my blog, and decided I was not good enough for HIS CITY, and was a threat of some kind. I suspected Denny was a Republican and was not happy Trump just lost the election, and, he and his ilk had to do more to keep out the rabble. Democrats would soon be accused of – STEALING THE ELECTION! There is no proof of this, and a Black mother and daughter successfully sued Rudy Giuliani, who was a hero after real bad people knocked down the Trade Towers. This GREAT LIE led to the Jan.6th. Insurrection where enemies of Democracy stormed our Capitol, and tried to overturn the results of a valid election. Yesterday, Colorado passed a law taking Trump off the ballot. This will incite those who believe Democrats are LOWLIFE VOTE-THIEVES out to steal the election – once again!
Now, add the speeches of Trump where he uses the term “poison the blood”. How many Republicans will think this applies to The Lowlife Voter-Thieves? Trump says he was not inspired by Hitter. How many citizen of Belmont – are not sure if this is true? I also wondered if he knew Carl Janke and his wife – were dug up out of their graves in the middle of the night – and was very concerned if I LOOKED DEEPER, I would find out. Why was he, and Cynthia – discouraging me from gathering MORE of my family history? Is this not the birth of – MAGA?

What I suggest, is that every Republican Candidate SIGN a Belief Pledge, stating they no longer believe Biden and the Democrats stole the election, so elections will be fair from now on? I am kin to John Fremont, a co-founder of the Republican Party, and its first Presidential Candidate. He was backed by Radical Republicans, who authorized the 14th. Amendment. Why not have Republics sign The Iron Clad Oath, so that all voters can be assured they do not want Trump to be ‘Dictator For A Day’? If that’s what most Republican want, why should President Biden – allow elections to take place? After all, he is innocent of stealing the elections, with the help of un-named Democrats!
Below is a photograph of Cark Janke’s great grandson, Victor William Presco. He went to sea as a Merchant Marine. He told me me he did not want to end up in Germany -fighting his people. My father was a neo-Nazi, as was his eldest son, Mark Presco. Standing next to Victor, is Richard Molnar, who married Lillian Rosamond. Dick flew fifty missions over Germany in a Flying Fortress. He night have done much damage to the Brandeberg Gate -for starters!
Hindenburg knew Hitler was going to destroy Germany. Is this knowledge the source of the look Paul wears – forever? When Paul died, thousands of Jews applied for passports’, and were denied. My father died without knowing there was a Lost Janke-Stuttmeister crypt in Colma. Why? When I found it I brought my daughter and newborn grandson -for a visit! I marveled at the irony, that the Good German found this sanctuary -before the Bad German in my family found it. I was – the Family Jew! I refused to go along with Victor’s program. It is 8:33 A.M. May 27, 2023 – and I am still in shock having discovered my grandparents are buried in the same grave! I saw TWO flags put on one gravestone. That was a half hour ago. THEN – I see another flag! There are three of my ancestors buried in the same grave! WHY? Did the caretakers conclude this was a very poor family? William Stuttmeister knew they were Belmont before he died. At great expense to himself, he moved the Jankes to Colma after they were evicted from the Odd Fellow cemetery – at great expense! This was a wealthy pioneer family whose graves keep being defiled! They were moved to the Union cemetery i 1972?

Israel demolishes Gaza cemeteries, confiscates dead bodies of Palestinians

Geneva -The Israeli army has repeatedly targeted several cemeteries in the Gaza Strip, leaving widespread destruction, vandalising some graves, and stealing dead bodies, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said on Thursday.
According to Euro-Med Monitor field documentation, Israel’s army has targeted the majority of cemeteries in the Gaza Strip, including Al-Falujah cemetery in the northern Gaza Strip, Ali bin Marwan, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shuhada, and Sheikh Shaaban cemeteries, in addition to St. Porphyrius Church cemetery in Gaza City and Al-Shuhada cemetery in the northern town of Beit Lahia, destroying dozens of graves in utter disregard for the sanctity of the dead.
Large holes have been created inside these cemeteries as a result of frequent Israeli attacks, engulfing dozens of graves. The remains of some dead bodies have been scattered or disappeared, while dozens of graves remain seriously damaged.
Euro-Med Monitor received reports confirming that the Israeli army dug up several graves in Al-Faluga cemeteryand stole dead bodies—believed to belong to Palestinian activists—amid fears that their organs might be stolen.
Given the disgusting and unjustifiable international complicity, Euro-Med emphasised that Israel has not spared even the dead in its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which started on 7 October.
Israel systematically violates the sanctity of the dead and of cemeteries, the human rights organisation said, in flagrant violation of the principles of international humanitarian law and the rules of war in relation to the protection of cemeteries during armed conflicts.
Rule 115 of customary international humanitarian law states: “The dead must be disposed of in a respectful manner and their graves respected and properly maintained.” Article (130) of the Geneva Convention of 1949 also states that graves must be respected, properly maintained, and marked in such a way that they can always be recognised.
According to Euro-Med Monitor, more than 120 mass graves were recently established across the Gaza Strip to bury those killed in Israel’s ongoing genocide of Gazans, given the difficulty of accessing the main and regular cemeteries and the non-stop Israeli attacks.
Families in the Gaza Strip have resorted to creating random mass graves in residential neighbourhoods, courtyards, roads, wedding halls, and stadiums. More than 120 of these mass graves have been established so far.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reiterated that Israel—like any other country—must abide by the principles of international law, which stipulate that the dead must be respected and protected during armed conflicts, and that the parties involved must take all reasonable steps to prevent the confiscation and dismemberment of the dead bodies.
The Colorado Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday to disqualify former President Trump from the state’s 2024 ballot quickly touched off fierce reactions from members of Congress in both parties.
Why it matters: The case has the potential to reignite an explosive national debate about the nature of the Jan. 6 riot and the degree to which the former president should be held accountable for the violence.
Driving the news: Four of the seven judges on the court ruled that the 14th Amendment‘s prohibition on individuals who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” from holding office applies to Trump, the first such state to do so.
- The case is likely to go to the U.S. Supreme Court, with the Trump campaign vowing to appeal and the Colorado judges issuing a stay until Jan. 4 to allow the federal judiciary to adjudicate it.
- Similar cases are making their way through the courts in several dozen other states.
In different events over the weekend, the former president said migrants are “poisoning the blood of our country.” The former president’s comments have resulted in negative reactions from both sides of the political aisle.
A campaign spokesperson for President Biden said the former president had “parroted Adolf Hitler” at a Saturday rally.
“Trump is not shying away from his plan to lock up millions of people into detention camps and continues to lie about that time when Joe Biden obliterated him by over 7 million votes three years ago,” Ammar Moussa said in a statement.
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) called Trump’s “poisoning” remark “unhelpful rhetoric.” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) also said she didn’t agree with the former president.
“We’re all children of immigrants,” she said. “It’s just part of his campaign rhetoric, I guess. I don’t know, I can’t explain it.”

Recently, a whole series of cases has been reported to me in which judges, lawyers, and officials of the Judiciary who are disabled war veterans and whose record in office is flawless, have been forcibly sent on leave, and are later to be dismissed for the sole reason that they are of Jewish descent.
It is quite intolerable for me personally…that Jewish officials who were disabled in the war should suffer such treatment, [especially] as, with the express approval of the government, I addressed a Proclamation to the German people on the day of the national uprising, March 21, in which I bowed in reverence before the dead of the war and remembered in gratitude the bereaved families of the war dead, the disabled, and my old comrades at the front. I am certain, Mr. Chancellor, that you share this human feeling, and request you, most cordially and urgently, to look into this matter yourself, and to see to it that there is some uniform arrangement for all branches of the public service in Germany. As far as my own feelings are concerned, officials, judges, teachers and lawyers who are war invalids, fought at the front, are sons of war dead, or themselves lost sons in the war should remain in their positions unless an individual case gives reason for different treatment. If they were worthy of fighting for Germany and bleeding for Germany, then they must also be considered worthy of continuing to serve the Fatherland in their professions….

I exceeded the limit of words I could send you, then I saw the light. In the two photographs of my Stuttmeister-Janke grandfathers, I saw they were framed by two trees – TWO PINE TREES! Are these the two trees that were-are found in Twin Pines Park that is located at the center of the City of Belmont? Before you and President Biden won the White House fair and square, I and Ed Howard were combining our Oakland History, the city where I was born. Were you born in Oakland where my kin took refuge after the Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire. They lived below Joaquin Miller who brother published Jack London’s ‘Martin Eden’ in the Pacific Monthly. Jack lived and worked in Belmont and grew up in Oakland.
When the Belmont Historical Society did not respond to the photographs I posted on their sites, I wondered if they were looking at who I am on the internet. I posted my blogs on you and the Turnverein Abolitionists who chose John Fremont to run in the newly formed Republican Party. I am related to Fremont. I also posted one of my famous sisters paintings ‘Lena and Her Sisters’. Lena was our ‘Black maid who raised us when my mother went to work to support her four children. I surmised I was dealing with racists’, but, it is much worse than that. I dealing with people like Governor DeSantis and his people, who are engaging in SELECT HISTORY. They have gone way beyond EDITING HISTORY, they are passing laws that OUTLAWS HISTORY they do not like. Denny Lawher did not like your amazing history. He ruled that the first Black Woman to be elected Vice President, had nothing to do with Belmont. HE LIED! He knew better. I had posted on the Forty-Eighters. Five days after my first post, I got this message from Denny Lawhern.

I am still appalled – and in shock two years later. What Denny is saying ism “Thanks for your deposit of you family history! Now – GET LOST! Denny thinks he is a Family Information Bank, and I and others are obligated to give him our family history. When Cynthia McCarthy joined in, she informed me I may be violating her Copyright by putting a photograph of my Janke ancestors that appear in her book. Again – I am still in shock! Why didn’t Denny or Cynthia post these photographs, saying. “Are you aware we have photographs of your bloodkin?” Were Christians intent on suppressing the Oddfelows?
I now suspected these two were idling something from me. I soon discovered that my great-grandfather and grandmother were dug out of their graves in the middle of the night, and moved to the Union Cemetery in Redwood City. But, what is truly astounding, is, it looks like Carl Janke brought six portable house around the Cape to establish a Oddfellow Utopia, completer with a Turnverein Amusement that is not unlike the original Disneyland. It was meant to be a Magical Place for the Oddfellow who lived in San Francisco to come and enjoy My family co-owned a stagecoach line, that took honeymooners to Halfmoon Bay. Mrs. Vice President, I suggest you and President Biden investigate Historical Societies across America, to see if racist select history is going on. Stanford is moving to Belmont. I would like their history department to look at the history of the Oddfellows in California. Here is Ms, McCarthy taking a bullet for Mr, Lawhern who dedicated his life to compiling MY FAMILY HISTORY that is some how – his. He got praises and pats on the head. He wanted more of that. How – parasitical in denying me my history. Of course my German history fell out of favor because of the Two World Wars. There is a wreath and rifle in the tree if you look closely in one of the photos of my family which highly suggests they are paying traditional honor to their ancestors – who are buried in Twin Pines Park! It is traditional for Oddfellows to meet at the graves of loved ones on Sunday, and have a picnic. This order has genealogical archives like the Mormons do. Christians had an interest in suppressing the Oddfellows, then – and now! With the rise of Christian Nationalism inside the Republican Party, ONLY, a religious war is taking place in our Democracy. The Republican Party – may be using the Oddfellows as a model. In Iconography Culture Wars, the original is always destroyed after alterations. I suspect the Belmont Historical Society knew I could make a claim of ownership. Is there a Deed on file that allowed the worship of the Cark Janke and his wife – to take place at Twin Pines – forever? I will solicit the HELP of my local Oddfellows in Springfield Oregon.
I am now wondering if the BHS found my post of July 17, 2020 where I founded the Black Turnverein, that does anticipate the Jan.6th. Insurrection – that failed? What if it has succeeded? Would black people be up in arms – for real? Intelligences Agencies are saying – its not over! How many spooks in NATO Nations are playing a lot of attention to the real crisis our Democracy is in. I’m sure she knows already. I have sent Kamala my letter in two increments and will not send more. What is going down in Florida is now a world crisis!
I am seventy-six and am having more rouble writing. I have never been a good writer due tomy abusive upbringing. I live to write and do research. I believed I got a real good story that the New Yorker Magazine will buy. But, I cant wait to reveal what I discovered three hours ago. My left finger is not working like it used to. WASHINGTON – Today, the NAACP Board of Directors issued a formal travel advisory for the state of Florida. The travel advisory comes in direct response to Governor Ron DeSantis’ aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.
The formal travel notice states, “Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”
“Let me be clear – failing to teach an accurate representation of the horrors and inequalities that Black Americans have faced and continue to face is a disservice to students and a dereliction of duty to all,” said NAACP President & CEO Derrick Johnson. “Under the leadership of Governor Desantis, the state of Florida has become hostile to Black Americans and in direct conflict with the democratic ideals that our union was founded upon. He should know that democracy will prevail because its defenders are prepared to stand up and fight. We’re not backing down, and we encourage our allies to join us in the battle for the soul of our nation.”
The travel advisory was initially proposed to the Board of Directors by NAACP’s Florida State Conference. NAACP’s collective consideration of this advisory is a result from unrelenting attacks on fundamental freedoms from the Governor and his legislative body.
“Once again, hate-inspired state leaders have chosen to put politics over people. Governor Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida have engaged in a blatant war against principles of diversity and inclusion and rejected our shared identities to appeal to a dangerous, extremist minority,” said Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors, Leon Russell. “We will not not allow our rights and history to be held hostage for political grandstanding. The NAACP proudly fights against the malicious attacks in Florida, against Black Americans. I encourage my fellow Floridians to join in this fight to protect ourselves and our democracy.”
Following Gov. DeSantis’ so-called leadership in driving the state to reject students’ access to AP African American studies course in March, the NAACP distributed 10,000 books to 25 predominantly Black communities across the state in collaboration with the American Federation of Teachers’s Reading Opens the World program. The majority of the books donated were titles banned under the state’s increasingly restrictive laws. The NAACP continues to encourage local branches and youth councils to start community libraries to ensure access to representative literature.

Several months ago I tried to speak at the council meeting held to discuss Stanford buying Notre Dame de Namur, but my voice could not be heard after I was called upon due to technical difficulty.. I tried to speak at the last meeting, but it was canceled. For two weeks I have been working on a vision for the future of Twin Pines Park – knowing when Stanford moves in – they are going to want more land. I have more land to give them, on the condition I am on the team who designs a Inner City Park and Bohemian Mercantile Mecca – that will be a showcase to other city all over the world!.
I am the great grandson of Carl Janke the co-founder of Belmont. whose remains were dug up in the middle of the night and put in a mass grave in the Union Cemetery. I am asking the Mayor and City Council to help me get more information on how this could have happened. On August 27th. I became a Odd Fellow so I can honor my ancestors, who were dug up from their final resting place in the Oddfellow Cemetery in San Francisco. After the initiation ceremony, a brother told me there was a fight over the Oddfellow Cemetery next to the University of Oregon, that bid lawmakers to pass Bills so they could dig up more dead people and move them elsewhere. Those Bills – failed!
I was going to postpone my request due to the horrific news being name in Israel and the Gaza Strip, but I began to hear plea after plea for the return of bodies, some of them mutilated, so they can be buried, so the families of the dead can find closure. I have no closure, and I feel my dead have been taken hostage.
When I contacted the Belmont Historical Society, I was hoping to begin a genealogical-historical research that would lead me own more information about the Turnverein Jews who formed a bond with the Turnverein Gentiles in the City of Berlin, where my Stuttmeister ancestors have a magnificent monument in a cemetery. They were Evangelicals who sailed to all parts of the world. They may have known German Templers who founded colonies in Israel. My great grandfather married Augusta Janke at Ralston Hall and took a stage to Santa Cruz for their honeymoon. The Janke family owned that stage?
“Dr. and Mrs. Stuttmeister left Thursday morning for Santa Cruz and Monterey, where they will spend the honeymoon. On their return they will make their home in Belmont.”
.Four Generations of the Carl Janke Family were dug up from their final resting place – and put somewhere else. This is a Forty-niner Family. Dorothy Janke’s mother was born on the island of Heligoland, that means Holy Land. Heinrich Mutter may be her father. There should be a brass plaque on this island telling Dorothy’s People she was part of the Gold Rush, and was a California Pioneer. Did the Heligolandians pool their money together to go West and secure more land for future generations? People all over the world heard the gold was just lying there – in the streets! If the Belmont City Planners and Government – had not respected the dead for all those years – then there would not have been free land to grab and make a city park! Shall we title this….The Second Gold Rush….considering the price of real estate? Let us pray all the caring offspring of Carl and Dorothea – are dead – and don’t show up out of the blue to reclaim what is rightfully theirs to enjoy.
Help me complete the Janke Family Dream. Bring Carl and Dorette Catherine Janke – back home, so they can be honored in the way the Belmont City of Ol – agreed to honor them. If everything meets to my specifications, then I will give written permission for Belmont and Stanford to exand their vision onto Sacred Ground, in the most honorable, and respectful way possible.

Dear Mr. White; My name is John Presco and I am the great, great grandson of Carl Janke, who brought six portable houses around the Cape in 1849. It appears that one of these portable houses is inside Ralston Hall – that was built around the small houses that Count Cipriani allegedly had shipped from Italy. I doubt this is true. I would conduct a study by archeological historians who can test the wood – that may not be cut from foreign trees? How about the screws that put this house together?
Three days before Memorial Day I discovered Carl Janke, his wife, and his mother-in-law were dug up from their graves in the middle of the night, and put in the same hole in Redwood City. This was done in 1972. I wonder if this religious activity is recorded in the archives of ND? The sacred ground reserved for the Jankes was located in Twin Pines Park that is next to ND – that might have purchased some of the original land owned by Carl. Can you check? You have a team of scholars and researchers at your disposal. Do you teach local history, or, is your main field – psychology? If so, then an analysis of City Planner’s is called for, being, Stanford purchased ND and is going to make big changes. Can we rest assured new planners – won’t do something crazy? There are rules and laws for exhuming the dead – and reburying them. Would you like to be thrown in a grave with your mother-in-law?

Let me begin my proposal this way….I want your assistance in returning my great grandparents to their original burying grounds, and installing me as a professor and theologian in residence. My kindred, Dominica Wieneke founded Briarcliff College. Other family members became a priest and nuns in the Oder of Saint Francis. I would like to found a school of spies and augurs, in Ralston Hall where my great grandfather, William Stuttmeister, got married to Augustus Janke, the daughters of Carl, I am kin to John Fremont, the first to emancipate slaves. I became a Nazarite in 1987, and am steeped in Biblical knowledge. I alone figured out what Jesus wrote in the dust. I can teach a course in religion – that will change Christianity as we know it.

Last night I researched getting a Getty Grant. There is a residency program attached to the Getty Villa. My late brother-in-law did the murals here. He and Christina Rosamond Benton were friends of Ann and Gordon Getty and did a mural in their home. Consider all the great murals in churches. I believe I am the exception. I was forced to drop out of high school. A watercolor I did toured the world in a Red Cross show. I believe I am a National Treasure and will say so in my message to Gavin Newsom who has been close the the Getty family his whole life.
I ran for Governor of Oregon last year and and am a Republican Candidate for President. For years I have ordered the Evangelical Politicians who subscribe to the false teaching of John Darby and Tim LaHaye – to get out of my families party! I figured out why Jesus said;

The author Damon Knight did a study of Bosch and found to figures in The Wedding Feast at Cana – that were removed – and replaced with a dancing dog. I believe those men are Pope Adrien and Godeschalk Rosemondt. The other figures are members of the Swan Brethren. Everyone and everything is pointing to the foundation of the Brotherhood of the Swan at Notre Dame de Namur.

It is 4:38 A.M. in Springfield Oregon. I just woke from the most arduous dream of my life where I was REBORN, into the flesh, into the spirit, into the plan God made for me. On this day I found The Falcon Art College At Belmont. I will write a letter to Pope Saint Francis and asking him for his blessing and support in the fulfilment of a Prophecy.
Today is October 7, 2020. I believe it is God’s will that the Falcon Art College of Belmont be located inside Ralston Hall, that I believe is one of the portable buildings brought around the Cape on a Clipper Ship by my great grandfather, Carl Janke, the founder of a soda works in Belmont, and a German Theme park. The Ralston house was a portable house put together by 5,000 screws. I am now convinced that Gottschalk Rosemondt is my great ancestor, and appeared in a Bosch painting with his best friend, Pope Adrian. I believe it is the Fair Lady of the Swan Brethren who is my guardian angel and angelic guide.

Someone on the Belmont Historical Society suggested I have violated their copyright, by posting an image of William Janke, who may be in a family photograph this is posted on their facebook page. About twelve of my posts have been removed, which alarms me, because I offer NEW family information – that could be used without my permission! Being related this famous family does not rate with this clic who are described as “we”. To be invited by an origination connected with the City of Belmont, to contribute your family history, then be treated like you are a outsider and parasite – is outrageous! This goes against the tradition of other Historical Societies – who encourage descendant of famous people to contribute – because there is no telling what they have, or, if they are going to put that Society in their will. I demand a full investigation. I would like to see your bi-laws.

Yesterday, I admitted I have gotten out of shape due to COVID-19. Today I founded the Black Turnverein Channel that hopefully will be broadcast across America. Many black athletes will not be taking the field in our Nation’s colleges. I moved to Springfield fourteen years ago and bonded with some of the black Oregon Ducks. For awhile there was a group of blacks who met near the playground to do exercise. I joined them. I was seventy years – young!
With the coming of Black Live’s Matter, the whole world is looking at major issues that can, and will change the course of world history. It was traditional for Turnverein Clubs to hold debates of all kinds. These German immigrants go involved in our Democracy and served in the Union Army and helped defeat the Confederate Conspiracy – which is still alive! With my discovery my kin, John Fremont, formed the Radical Democracy Party in order to get Abraham Lincoln to drop out of the rice, opens up a huge field of topics in regards to how thoroughly black slaves were oppressed in the United States.
I would like to see the Black Panthers found a Black Turnverein in Oakland California. There is talk about armed Black Militias. My kin, Carl Janke, founded a Turnverein in Belmont and San Francisco where a armed Vigilante Committee may have been preparing to fight the Confederacy – as well as maintaining Law and Order. These issue are up! This history has returned.
I am for seeing armed black groups – if they take advantage of the Turnverein history. I would love to see the Black Panthers marching down Broadway and parading at Merritt College – after the coronavirus is no longer a threat. Being of sound body and mind was the motive of the Turnverein that admitted Jews who went on of the create Muscular Judaism, and, founded the New Israel. Are we to see Jews doing the goosestep in Los Angeles where live the largest Jewish population outside Israel? I have roots in Reformed Judaism.
I highly suggest BLM contact Ursula Von Der Leyen who went to Stanford. Tell her you want to set up a cultural exchange with Germany. Blacks should learn German. I would recognize Cuba, who were taught to goose step by the Russians – who learned it from my Prussian kin. The Germans were for the cultural advancement of the black slaves – they were determined to set free! There are around forty-two million black people in America and the same amount for Americans with German roots. I have a vision of black men and women speaking in German in a public place. They are discussing the German and Black Composers. I see a black man standing on stage at Carnegie Hall singing the BLM anthem, a blues number sang to Beethoven’s Sonata Claro de Luna. This is the first victory song. as a historian, I testify BLM won it’s first victory. We have a major contender on the World Stage.

Very few families can say their kindred owned a Stagecoach Line, Theme Park, and a Turnverein Hall, or two. Carl Janke was half owner of the Belmont Accommodation Company that ran between Belmont ‘Beautiful Mountain’, and Halfmoon Bay. Mrs. Walter E. Janke was the President of the Cap and Bells Club that employed the cap of the Jester in its emblem. Consider the Merry Pranksters. Musicals, plays, and “Jinks” were performed. Consider the Hi-jinks of the all male Bohemian Club. Is this a feminists answer? It appears the Cap and Bells founded an art gallery. Was this the formation of the Outdoor Art League?

I came to the Belmont Historical Society via my friend, Ed Howard, and my therapist who treated ne for PTSD. I promised to start promoting myself. I have been promoting Ed Howard’s history of Oakland because we were born in Oakland. The four Presco Children were raised by a black maid who took Christine home with her to share her with her three sisters who had been maids in mansions in Mississippi. Then came the call for ship workers in Marin.
I posted Rosamond’s painting ‘Lena And Her Sister’s and it was taken down. Ed’s brother was going to drive me to the Naval cemetery to see my parents who served. My two siblings went over to the dark side when a outsider bought my families creative legacy, and they did not tell me my father was dead, and, my other was dying, My brother is a racist neo-Nazi who also descends from Carl Janke and William Stuttmeister, two men who lived in Belmont. I thought I would establish my history on a Belmont site, and then apply for several grants, that would help Ed and I preserve the history of Oakland, and our families. Is this the history Bemont wants….

Yesterday I discovered one of my great grandfathers founded a Turnverein Hall on Bush Street in San Francisco. This hall was a place one could go hear music and practice gymnastics. The Seamens Friendly Union met here, and the Vigilance Committee. Plays were performed, and debates held. This is the radical root of San Francisco that I have traced to the Longshoreman’s Hall and the first Acid Tests. The Turner hall offered music and other entertainment as an alternative to gambling and prostitution. My father was a Merchant Marine and would be pleased to know the first institution for furthering sailor rights met in the Bush hall.
“All seamen are invited to attend at the Turn Verein Hall on Bush Street between Stockton and Powell Streets on Thursday Evening, January 11 at 7 1/2 o’clock to form a Seamens Society for the Pacific Coast.”
The Vigilance Committee combatted corruption and violence. These were idealists that lay the groundwork for a city famous for it cultural revolutions.

Yesterday I received information from Shirley Schwoerer of the Redwood City Library, that said my ancestor, Carl August Janke, was instrumental in establishing a Turnverien in Belmont, and the Bay Area. Was it the first?
“He erected the old amusement hall of the Turnverein, and managed this for several years.”
Janke may be the first real estate developer in the San Francisco bay area.
“In 1849 the family came around the Horn on an old Clipper ship, and Mr. Janke brought with him on the trip the material for six portable houses. He set up these houses, and at once engaged in a successful business, as a building contractor.”
Visiting the sick was a daring, bold thing to do in 1819, and indeed for in excess of one hundred years more, because of the very real possibility the visitors would contract the illness or disease. Odd Fellows, and Rebekahs after they came into existence in 1851, visited the sick as a matter of course. Odd Fellows and Rebekahs continue to this day to make special efforts to visit the sick.
Relief of the distressed was a major goal of most or all fraternal organizations, then and now. Odd Fellow Lodges normally provided monetary sick benefits to its members who were ill or injured and unable to work. A few California lodges still provide monetary sick and/or death benefits for members. Assistance to those in need, whether in the form of donations to charities, or donations of money or goods and services to members or others in the community is commonly provided today by all lodges.
In addition, lodges commonly provided all kinds of assistance to members who were in need, such as a box of groceries, a cord of wood, or a member or visiting nurse to care for a seriously ill member at home. With the modern day social welfare programs operated by government agencies, these services by the Order are no longer as vital as they once were, but Odd Fellows and Rebekahs still provide friendship that members require for a wholesome and full life.
Odd Fellow Lodges continue to conduct funeral and memorial services for members when requested prior to their death or by their families. This may be the only service, or may be in conjunction with a church service or with other organizations.
Educating the orphan was also taken seriously, and orphans of Odd Fellows, and Rebekahs too, could expect to receive at least a high school education through the lodge. In California the Rebekahs were in the forefront of caring for the orphans, and in the late 1800’s they were granted authority to establish the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Children’s Home in Gilroy. They likewise were in the forefront of providing funds to insure an education for orphans and needy children of members.
The “Big Four” cemeteries were Odd Fellows’, Masonic, Laurel Hill, and Calvary. They were located in the Inner Richmond area of San Francisco, and surrounded Lone Mountain, with Odd Fellows’ to the west, Masonic to the south, Laurel Hill to the north, and Calvary to the east. These are the cemeteries on which A Second Final Rest concentrates. While many other cemeteries came and went before the “Big Four” were removed, the “Big Four” were the ones most directly affected by legal battles and referenda that finally banished almost all cemeteries from San Francisco. They were removed from San Francisco between the early 1930s and 1947. All bodies were exhumed and relocated by 1941, but lack of manpower due to World War II prevented the complete removal of monuments from Laurel Hill until 1947.
What happened to the bodies once they were removed from the cemeteries?
The vast majority of bodies were moved to mass gravesites in Colma, a small town known as “The City of Souls”, just a few miles south of San Francisco. Colma has the peculiar distinction of being home to approximately 2,000 living and 2 million deceased individuals. Colma has seventeen cemeteries, including a pet cemetery.

Why was the Fourteenth Amendment written and them made law? I suspect the Republicans were giving clear messages to foreign entities that they had won the Civil War and the United States would honor the debts it incurred putting down Insurrectionists, so, that if there arose another rebellion, the same foreign powers would come to the aid of Democracy – and not those who killed to own human beings. This amendment is rewarding loyalty, and punishing disloyalty. Those who engaged in insurrection on Jan 6th. were punished. Lawmakers who support the Insurrectionist this very day, should be disqualified from voting on the Debt Ceiling – and not be allowed to run for office.
This is the amendment to my letter to VP Harris;
Would you and President Biden look into the real possibility the Capitol Police will not be paid for services rendered in putting down the Jan 6th. Insurrection, in regards to overtime. There is a real possibility they will not BE THERE TO PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY, if the Republicans do not raise the debt ceiling. To not do so may be seen as a act of Treason. Anyone who wants the chaos that will result, should lose their citizenship and right to vote. This goes for anyone who backs Insurrectionists, or, wants to pardon them, such as Donald Trump. All he has to do is admit Biden and you won, conduct a simple ceremony handing over the reigns of power, and sign the Iron Clad Oath. What better way for him to show he is a Loyal American. How can the Supreme Court deny the Capitol Police their wages – after getting protection from these Loyal Americans?

Section 1
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. Section 2
Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. My Odd Fellow Kindred Evicted From Graves

At great expense to himself, my great-grandfather, William Suttmeister, moved the bodies of his wife and kindred from the Laurel Hill cemetery in San Francisco to a tomb in Colma where I brought my daughter and grandson so they can own their heritage. These bodies were evicted from their graves. Many tombstones were used to make a sea wall.
