I – Artist

A Tale Of An Un-famous Artist

John Gregory Presco

A Autobiography

Copyright 2020

When my nephew, Shamus Dundon, offered his proof I was insane, by telling me what my mother Rosemary told him, I understood this was The End of the most degrading, abusive, and surreal story of a questionably “famous artist” – in art and literary history! For the reason outsiders tried to profit by telling stories of child abuse, I am setting up a non-profit in order to have the proceeds of sales of my autobiography, fund gifted children in abusive families.

Since I can remember, Rosemary would tell me, and anyone who cared to listen, the story of her sitting on my back – and pounding my head against the hardwood floor! She went into a trance in order to add a mystical forgivable quality to this abusive experience – that left me scarred for life. Above is a photograph of me taken when I was eleven. My brother airbrushed out the dark mark in the center of my forehead – that was still visible when I was fourteen. Here we go! Strap yourself in. I am about two and a half.

“You would sit alone in your room, facing the wall, and, you pounded your head against the wall – repeatedly! You made no sound. Just the pounding told me you were doing this again. Every time I came in to stop you, you started to cry. You threw a fit if I tried to pick you up – and stop you. Only when I left, and closed the door, did you stop crying. One day, I had it. I grabbed you, threw you on the floor, sat on your back, grabbed your hair – and slammed your head! You want to hurt your head? I’ll hurt your head! After this, you stopped with that crazy pounding!”

In 1990 I read Alice Miller’s ‘For Your Own Good ‘The Hidden Cruelty of Childrearing, and understood this was a horrible story, and, in no way is a good story about a loving mother – and her child!

“That’s it? This is – your proof I am insane, and thus accused you of things you did not do?”

Shamus called me up to tell me my sister, Vicki was dead – ten days after the fact! He was not going to tell me, but, his son made him. Shamus asked me what I wanted.

“I want the truth about what happened at Rocky Point.”

“I told you the truth.”

” No you didn’t. Things do not add up. I have a theory you went fishing.”

When Sydney Morris became Special Executor, he returned my call, and talked about a true story he read, where a husband takes his wife to the coast – and pushes her into the ocean. Morris had come to believe The Defence of Vicki&Son, that as soon as I heard about the death of Christine Rosamond Benton, I plotted to author a sensational lie, suggesting Rosamond was murdered. How dastardly! Who would believe such – a lie? Morris&Buck!

Millions of people have died by accident in the world. The first thing surviving family members, wonder about, could this accident have been prevented? It is normal to ask questions if you were not there. Buck&Morris are Estate Planners. The crux of my story, is, the wonderment about how a law firm came to believe that my questioning was aimed at making a profit from a book and movie – by telling lies! Shamus was with his mother in Christine’s home talking with Jacci Belford and Stacey Pierrot – about making a movie from the book they wanted to hire a ghost writer to write – before the funeral! When Vicki told me Shamus just finished bootcamp in the Airforce, I wondered where he was, and, what he was doing, and, could he have saved Christine? He was trained to take action. Shamus does not tell his story in Tom Snyder’s book. But, his wife does a postscript study of the Coast Guard.

Are – you kidding me!

You have a forbidden pre-funeral business meeting – that closes with Mrs. Dundon interviewing members of the Coast Guard. It is a crime against Art and Literature that Shamus and Drew Benton did not give a full account of what happened out at Rocky Point.

Here is Julie Lynch who wrote a screenplay about Rosamond ‘Before The Wve’

“THE BEGINNING: Oakland, California

If Christine’s parents had embraced her talent, there might be existing works from her childhood, but this was not to be. Fearing that Christine would steal her brother’s spotlight as the family artist, Christine’s mother, Rosemary, forbade Christine to draw at home. The only time she could express herself was at school or in her closet, by flashlight, when everyone else was asleep. Though we don’t have images to prove it, Christine’s kindergarten teacher has said that, by age five, Christine was already drawing with adult skill. She can remember Christine’s pictures of animals having near perfect detail and perspective. In addition to oppressing Christine artistically, Rosemary also dominated Christine with physical violence. Trying to support four children with only a high school education and little help from her alcoholic husband, Rosemary was often enraged.”

Capturing Beauty

“I found the deal and paper work that verified Vicki and Stacey’s contract and purchase of artwork . Violating all sorts of laws and regulation federal. And state . I have it all. . Mind blowing and painful reality to actually see and confirm beliefs.”

Shannon Rosamond

Because of my health and the ongoing threats I have received, I am forced to reveal heart-wrenching facts about my sister, Vicki Presco. For two months I have struggled to forgive her, because her lies and deception caused a riff in the relationship I had just begun with my newfound daughter, who will be sent this post in hope we can recover the miracle we owned when we were first united. She was a child of seventeen when she was lured out of my life. She wanted to be a Country Western Star. He mother – is a Stage Mother! Like her father, my daughter exhibited talent at an early age.

Let me begin by saying……..

There is a huge problem with author Julie Lynch’s account of how my sister became a world famous artist, I was not an artist until the age of 11, therefor, I could not have been the “family artist”. Lynch says she has the testimony from Christine’s kindergarten teacher of what a accomplished artis was. Impossible! How did she find this teacher?

Rosemary never talked about how talented I was at five years of age if she only wanted me to become famous? I had exhibited talent as an artist since I was five, But it was in Mr. Luzmore’s class that I knew I had real talent. It was the end of the school year, and Luzmore had us go outside the school and draw a object of our choice. I drew an old car that was parked. I discovered I had good eye-to-hand coordination. I took second place after Erik Anderson, the most popular kid in school, who drew a hot rod from memory. He told the class his brother taught him how to draw a hot rod. All the girls oohed and ahhed. Mr. Luxmore saw my distress. He hinted to the girls who had the hots for Erik, that their dreamboat had not followed the assignment. They did not care. They voted Erik’s plagiarism, the best. A real artist is born.

There was something different about me. I was not like them. I was dark and foreboding. They didn’t know I was a Lumper, a child laborer that worked many hours in Oakland’s Produce Market. My brother and I were the strongest kid in school. I remembers kids laughing at me when Vic drove up in his 1949 flatbed truck for a school function. He tied down some crates for a place for my brother and I to sit.

“Look Daddy! Those boys are riding in the back of a truck!”

I would do a watercolor of the Jack London market from memory. My father’s truck toured the world in a Red Cross show when I was sixteen. At thirteen years of age I read all of John Steinbeck’s books, and three of Jack London’s books. I realized I was a member of their Bohemian scene. I did not have a clue Christine was a very good artist, because, she didn’t take up art until she was TWENTY-THREE!

Study the photograph above. I believe I am eight years old in this photo, and Christine would be seven. Vicki would be four, and Mark nine. Christine was born in 1947. Five years later she is off to kindergarten. Let’s say Rosamond’s teacher is thirty years old. How old would she be when Lynch talked to her in 2014? She would be 91 years old. I suspect this teacher was 40 – at least! So she was a Centurion. I read all of the Grimm Brother’s fairytales when I was eleven. The essay by Lynch is a monstrous fairytale. Rosamond fans all over the world are wondering why Lynch is going after a mother who gave birth to two talented children!

“Rosemary forbade Christine to draw at home.”

Vicki and Christine always shared the same bedroom. According to Julie Lynch Vicki was one year old when her sister snuck in and out of their closet – undetected! It’s amazing my surviving sister did not catch her. I can’t believe Vicki was not let in on the BIG SECRET that would rock the art world. For some reason Scott Vale was the first to know. He is given full credit for discovering Rosamond. Shannon’s father told me Scott was his good friend, that coveted his wife. Eight weeks ago Shannon Rosamond told me she had not ready her mother’s biography. I was shocked. She was telling me how much she and her mother were betrayed – swindled!

“I suggest you not read Tom Snyder’s book until after we deal with Vicki! It will ruin your life, like it ruined mine!”

Christine’s daughters are now living together. They got a new place to live. Drew Benton had been living with Christine since her father died. Garth and Drew lived together and worked on murals together. I suggested the form a company.

Here are photographs of my daughter, Heather Hanson, who came into my life when she was sixteen. We – were a miracle story. She wanted to know who her father was. We got along famously, then, she started hearing things about me. She and her mother had contacted Stacey Pierrot and Tom Snyder in order to find me. They had asked people who knew Christine to come forth and share their stories. The Hanson’s never met Rosamond. I was already to go the my daughter’s graduation, when I packet of our history came back. All means to contact Heather, were severed. She disappeared from my life for two years.

Here is my niece explaining how she got arrested in her mother’s home. While she was in handcuffs, Garth Benton put my sister’s cremated remains out on the stoop, and slammed the door. This is how the Adult Heir was treated. Shannon told me Vicki sold her share of the partnership prints to Pierrot, that I told my daughter she took from Christine’s house – the day after she drowned. My daughter, he mother, and her aunt, didn’t know who to believe. Stacey Pierrot owned the gallery and the first Rosamond website. Shannon had disappeared. I was poor and disabled.  Shannon and Larry Chazen were getting it on, thus, her/our story is a part of the Getty Odyssey.

I am now going to call the FBI and report the harassment of Shannon and I. Christine titled me her ‘Teacher’. She left her artistic legacy to Shannon. I am going to report the theft of art that Shannon wrote about. I am going to talk about the threats and harassment I got from the following people. There is a chance that Alley Valkyrie contacted Stacey Pierrot. How about Kim Hafner. Were these anarchist and religious cultists given any money for making me afraid, and gaslighting me? John Monroe, Alley’s lover, smears my and my mother’s reputation. Here are the stalkers;

Belle Burch. Alley Valkyrie. John Monroe. Kim Hafner. Krista.

I Artist – I Succubus

Part One of Capturing Beauty Trilogy

“You are a sucubus and want to suck the light to grasp any light just like you just drained my heart and hurt my life . Now take your wealth and leave the fuck alone.”

Shannon Rosamond

I was chatting to my niece, Shannon, on facebook and wince when she informs me how responsible my brother felt as the eldest. Since her aunt Vicki got very ill, then died, I have been giving Shannon bits and pieces of our real family history. We had very little contact with each other. We didn’t know each other. All of a sudden with the death of both my sisters, we are sharing information. I suspect she knows Mark Presco is still alive. But, because he is a very covert man – guilty of tax evasion – he likes to CONTROL the family information – like a puppet master. He is the Anti-Artist – supreme! He should be banned from having any contact with artists, like a registered pedophile is banned from children’s playgrounds.

“Do the math!” I told my niece. I was both a parent, sibling, and inspiration to my sisters. Our parents had abandoned us. Rosemary got busted for making porno for the Mafia and fled to LA. She put us in care of a crazy old hag I title ‘Moma’ in my book. We were going to be put up for adoption. Two months after our mother decided to come get us, she drove Mark and I out of the house after we poured her gallon of Pisano down the sink. We fled back to Oakland where Mark finished his senior year. He was on the football team. I was left to take care of Christine and Vicki while Rosemary worked as a high class prostitute at the Beverly Hills Hotel. If we ever chat again I will tell her what my mommy told me;

“That crowd was too racy for me. They were into all kinds of kinky stuff.”

While wathcing T.V. and picking at her feet, Might Mo made this annoucdemt.

“I know who killed Jack Kennedy!”

“Who?” her children chimed.

“I’ll never tell!”

What I was trying to explain to Shannon……if Mark had been the original Family Artist – instead of me – then he would really be dealing with the crazy shit I’ve had to deal with. This is a family of artists and writers – not football players. I then made the mistake of showing her the painting I am working on. Here is her original reaction.

“ewhhh i like it!!!!!!i mean ahhh”

Suddenly, she had to go do something. When she came back – she had changed – into a succubus. Shannon claims she is an artist – and was like a mother to Rosamond! Indeed, she and Rick Partlow had this very special relationship that allowed her to take full responsibility for her mother’s success – when she was just eight years old! Wow! Nothing came down to Rosamond from her parents, or me, it flow uphill from a precocious child who liked to wrestle Rick on the floor. I told her Christine and I are the only ones who got sober and into therapy, thus, we admitted we had complex problems – even Mark couldn’t handle! I got all my master cynicism – from both parents!

BOOM! I blew up our facebook chit-chat.

Below is a pic of Bryan that appeared in the University High year book. Bryan got to know each other as we sat side by side in a art class. Michael Barry sat across from us. He told us stories about his father and his Hollywood friends. The Bat Masterson show was a big hit. The three of us comprised a real Beatnik Scene inside a high school. Michael made a movie ‘The Second Coming of Suzanne’ that I see as coming from our scene. It may be the best hippie-like movie ever made considering what you have to work with. Acid Freaks on acid are not reliable subject matter.

The Second Coming of Suzanne – Wikipedia

Bryan was attracted to me, and invited me several time to Vito’s orgies in hope that we would fuck each other. Raymond Burr wanted to fuck me, and invited me to a private dinner in his home – when I was seventeen. I wanted to fuck Marilyn Reed, but, she and her mother wanted me to be saved at the Billy Graham crusades I was forced to attend – first! I did not want to fuck Belle Burch – at first. I wanted to marry her – on sight! I fled from her – lest I want to fuck her. If I had invited her to go get something to eat, we would have ended up in bed. I still want to marry Belle, because she is – PART OF OUR SCENE! If you were a member of the L.A. Scene you got to fuck everyone – and they get to fuck you! We are/were….

Shannon got me wrong! I would be a Incubus.

The Jazz Drummer, Kenny Reed, has been dead for over a year. The story of his widow and I plotting to go stay in a hotel in the Sawtelle – without him knowing – is a tradtional Blues Story that needs to see the light of day!

I am going to contact Jonathan Richman who I am sure remembers me, because we talked for an hour after his first show – and he took my advice!

“Stay small. There is an innocence about you. They took our garage bands from us – and amplified the shit out of them. Sing about the experiences in your own city, not what you think went on in San Francisco.”

“For Christ’s sake! Your mother was seeing three psychiatrists when she died. Mark can’t handle any talk about mental illness in the family – because he is the most damaged! We all covered for him – and so are you! You inherited the cover-up!

This song reminds me of Christine – and Shannon!

Bryan wrote this song that was inspired by my advice when he was dating Christine. He told me he wanted to see other women, as well as my sister.

Succubus – Wikipedia

After twenty-five years, alas we hear from Shannon Rosamond. Outrageous! Here is how my niece ended up in handcuffs.

“It was Thursday before a four day weekend . I went to call the lawyer and the phone was dead . I couldn’t believe it , thought maybe Garth does need it for work. Then I went to the neighbors , panicking by 930 because they had to leave for big bear to see their son in college. Then as I’m repeatedly dialing , I look out the window and Garth is getting into Jeep and stealing moms car. So I’m now in the neighbors house (who fear Garth and hate him) and they are leaving I can not get a hold of the lawyer to document the transfer of Executer-ship !! I have no phone in moms house , I have no vehicle because Garth just stole it, and no where to get help or make a phone call. I had to get dropped off at airport where I could call people and find a way back down to los angeles So I could by a car To make it back to Monterey and fix things . No one helped or offered .Vicki and Stacey did conspire . I do have all the records to prove it. I do not have a lawyer or have any interest in wasting anymore of my life going after what’s been lost stolen and pillaged , cost to much. I knew nothing about probate . Garth and Rick stole my money and Garth sold all my art work Stacey stole my my personal work. I had no income. And please explain I only care about myself. I am truly interested in your explanation . Seriously Please no sarcasm. How can I understand if you do not explain your feelings.

Stacey’s dad is fuck all rich he owns or did own abou 11 hospitals up and down coast . Mom took her in because she said wrong is wrong pain is pain , and abuse doesn’t have a dollar amount. So that’s How Stacey repaid my mother . By abusing , stealing, and keeping her daughters apart letting the man who abused her and her daughters have all the money and all her struggles and hardships to amount to nothing for her children but pain. Glad Stacey was able to have it all . A home , children , money , and more than any thing else FREEDOM

So your still as crazy good as you always were .. part of your charm  The only difference , that hurts is you think I have betrayed you . And verbally become abusive.

FUCK YAH Me and Chazen were tight before I left for Mexico Garth brainwashed him by repeated telling him that I became a drug addict and left him for a dirty Mexican. Didn’t do drugs in Mexico AT ALL . Drank a liter a day but I still worked made money

You too , I love you and I never meant to hurt you if I said anything about not having you at the house , it was not because i didn’t wAnt You it was because Vicki was telling me how my house and who was staying in it

So not you It was Vicki acting as if she owned the house . Yes it’s gotten worse .. have you gotten in touch with mark . Cause I really feel he needs to know

Do you believe Christine wrote a rough draft of her autobiography?

I haven’t in a while he had a strokex2 . And yes I did I got all the paperwork and writings Vicki kept . She also supplied all the bullshit info and photos for that book .. I’ve never read it.

I found the deal and paper work that verified Vicki and Stacey’s contract and purchase of artwork . Violating all sorts of laws and regulation federal. And state . I have it all. . Mind blowing and painful reality to actually see and confirm beliefs”

Art Theft

Art and cultural property crime—which includes theft, fraud, looting, and trafficking across state and international lines—is a looming criminal enterprise with estimated losses in the billions of dollars annually.

To recover these precious pieces—and to bring these criminals to justice—the FBI has a dedicated Art Crime Team of 16 special agents, supported by DOJ trial attorneys for prosecutions. The Bureau also runs the National Stolen Art File, a computerized index of reported stolen art and cultural properties for the use of law enforcement agencies across the world.

Please note: U.S. persons and organizations requiring access to the National Stolen Art File should contact their closest FBI Field Office; international organizations should contact their closest FBI Legal Attaché Office.

http://rosamond.com/aboutAn essay by Julie Lynch      From simple sketches in pencil to finely detailed watercolors and oils, this comprehensive collection provides a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of Christine Rosamond’s work. It also gives us a chance to understand the artist behind the work and see her evolve from a teenager, struggling to balance her need for expression with her fear of what her art might reveal, to a self-actualized woman, strong enough to make peace with her past and surrounded herself with the people she loved.THE BEGINNING: Oakland, CaliforniaIf Christine’s parents had embraced her talent, there might be existing works from her childhood, but this was not to be. Trying to support four children with only a high school education and little help from her alcoholic husband, Rosemary was often enraged. She took this rage out on Christine and Christine’s earliest known works reflect it. In Teenage Drawing II, her subject is reticent and withdrawn.  In Teenage Drawing III, the woman looks shocked and angry.OVERNIGHT SENSATION: Los Angeles, CaliforniaAfter a failed marriage and the birth of her daughter Shannon, Christine fell in love with Scott Hale, an ambitious and demanding lighting designer. Recognizing Christine’s talent, Scott invited her to move in with him so that she could concentrate on her art.  Feeling encouraged for the first time, Christine was able to paint with a bold new energy.  A year later, at Scott’s insistence, Christine showed a number of these portraits at the 1972 Westwood Art Fair.  Recognizing a fresh voice, art dealer Ira Kaplan bought out the collection and commissioned Christine to create an additional painting for him every week thereafter. In journal entries, Christine articulated that, for her, painting was not only a means to a better life, it was also a way to prove that Rosemary could no longer control her. This rebellious energy is what I believe led to Christine’s success and can be seen in her now classic portraits: Summer Mood, Denim and Silk, and Simone.  As defiant as they are beautiful, the penetrating eyes in each of these paintings tell the viewer that times have changed. Women are standing up for themselves and taking their power. Right in step with the ‘70’s feminist zeitgeist, the public – especially women – identified with this combination of strength and beauty and bought millions of Christine’s prints.
