Mary Ann Thoraldsen owned a signed copy of Gravities Rainbow – with dedication. My ex-wife became friends with Thomas Pynchon, and his best friend, Richard Farina, at Cornell. She did a life-size portrait of Richard’s wife, and beloved Muse, Mimi Baez, the sister of Joan, whose song inspired me to do a life-size portrait of my wife, that got me put in handcuffs by a judge, who earlier captured two prisoners trying to escape from the Oakland Courthouse jail. He grabbed his gun out of his drawer, climbed out onto the roof, and ordered the down on the grown. This semi-nude was inspired by the story Mary Ann told me about her and Pynchon in Mexico. I told it in this blog, but, seeing any made up story, or idea, related to Pynchon, is as good as gold, I am saving it – not for a rainy day, but, goddamn it, I deserve a pay day. I almost went to Holland last year.
I have seen a lot of gunplay. Twice I played chess for someone’s life. The idea is to give your opponent a good game – and a victory! Then, the hostage…….is released!
Now, for the truth! I am in love with Lara Roozemond after I saw her singing in this video. I saw Mimi, in Lara, who died. I and my friend danced and talked to her at a Monterey festival after she came out of grieving. Richard got killed in a motorcycle accident. I fell so deeply in love with her, and how she carried her tragedy. My best friend got killed by a train. Mimi was on her way to being the greatest Muse in history. Her sadness was like a sea anchor. Her struggle with it – is epic! This is the first song in the movie. Victoria is dealing with the death of her mother, her memory.
Lara has to check in on her prejudice against old men. I suggest she learn, and sing ‘Love Song To A Stranger’. Her call for Peace and Non-Violence has its roots in the Baez family, and Pete Seager. This love song will be sung at the end of the movie, to suggest, Victoria Bond……has fallen in love.
I might as well add, that Lara looks like my daughter, Heather, who came into my life when she was sixteen. When I first lay eyes on her, she picked up her guitar and sang me a song. Her mother was a stage mother, and this was an audition. He aunt was a drunken witch who teamed up with the drunken lover to get me out of the picture. He an his father were Tea Party Crazies. They wanted my six year old grandson, because this drunken bum, couldn’t conceive. So, have at this one! This is why I think Lara is – OUR kin.
I suggest Lara, you check in on – YOUR JUDGEMENTS! When I am finished telling my good friends my life story, it ends with this sentence, that I hope you hear in person….
“It is very hard to be me.”
Being for war and death – is easy! If you want to get the shit kicked out of you, and everything taken from you, be for Peace! Don’t believe me? Read John One!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
What is the word? Hold up two fingers!
My good friend, Bryan McLean, played at our wedding. This song will play at the Orange Parade riot.
