There is a gate buried below the Golden Gate.
I believe these are the bones of Crusaders and their families that lie under the new Golden Gate, they put their by the Muslims after the fall of Jerusalem. The remains of my ancestors could be here. The Stuttmeisters were Teutonic Knights. Note how similar their tomb in Berlin is to the Golden Gate, there a life-size statue of Jesus coming through a gate to bless my kindred buried before the Beautiful Gate.
