Nocturnal John ‘The Night Prophet’

God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning–the first day.

http://www.newcreationministries.tv/the-purpose-of-night.html

Night is half of our experience. Day is the other half. This may seem like an elementary observation, but does it tell us at least something of how we should intellectually deal with night’s existence—not just night as a physical experience when the sun is not shining, but the dark times which seem to come at regular and irregular intervals? “…and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night” (Genesis 1:4); “I form the light, and create darkness” (Isaiah 45:7). God has obviously seen fit to create the darkness. Let’s briefly answer why and this will help us move ahead with the acceptance of night as something with purpose and benefit.

It has been said that darkness is merely the absence of light. But is this really the case? Isaiah tells us that God forms the light and creates darkness. Therefore we must conclude that darkness requires creation. God is light and in Him is no darkness. So then, darkness is not simply the absence of light. Before anything, there was only light, for there was only God. Darkness cannot exist unless God creates it. When it was only God, it was only light. If there was only light, and only God, then why create darkness?

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2

Now the earth was [1] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

4

God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

5

God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning–the first day.

6

And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.”

7

So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

8

God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning–the second day.

9

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.

10

God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

The Lollards were a pre-Protestant religious movement in England from the mid-14th century to the English Reformation, followers of the controversial priest John Wycliffe who sought to reform the Catholic Church by promoting personal Bible study, rejecting clerical corruption, and translating the Bible into English. Their beliefs included personal responsibility for faith, the rejection of superstitions like prayers for the dead and pilgrimages, and criticism of excessive church wealth and power. The movement faced severe persecution from both the Crown and the Catholic Church, with many Lollards burned at the stake

“It was appearing to directly mislead the American public about a significant fact that probably one of the most significant political events we’ve had in a long time, for the most significant political assassination we’ve seen in a long time,” he said.

Yes, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates all broadcast stations, including religious ones, to ensure they operate in the public interest. While the FCC generally cannot censor or control programming due to the First Amendment and the Communications Act, religious stations must comply with regulations like Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) rules and adhere to the responsibilities of public trustees. For stations holding noncommercial educational licenses, the FCC has the authority to set guidelines on the content to ensure it aligns with the license’s educational purpose, although they do not prohibit religious programming altogether.

On The Issues

March 2000

American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research

The Federal Communications Commission recently promulgated a new policy for determining what may appear on noncommercial television stations. Most forms of religious programming will be restricted to not more than half of the content of any such station on the grounds that, according to the FCC, they do not serve educational and cultural needs. Religion is a large and vital part of our culture, however, and its place in noncommercial television should not be constrained by government edict.

Poor John McCain. He wrote a letter to the Federal Communications Commission urging it to take action, and it did. This was considered shocking since a McCain campaign contributor owned one of the TV stations whose purchase was OK’d by the FCC.

Think what you will of Mr. McCain’s letter. The real scandal here is the policy that the FCC commissioners announced along with their approval. It will force some religious TV stations to water down their programming or risk their licenses.

The ruling arose in a case involving Cornerstone Television, a nonprofit religious broadcaster that has a license to operate a commercial channel near Pittsburgh. Cornerstone sought to swap that license for another, also in Pittsburgh, that is reserved for noncommercial educational purposes.

For some, that was a horrifying thought. A coalition of activist groups-the Alliance for Progressive Action-challenged the proposed deal, contending that Cornerstone’s religious programming was not primarily educational. Indeed, the alliance submitted affidavits from professors calling Cornerstone’s programming “highly ideological” and “extremist.”

The New Decree

The commission allowed the swap but issued “additional guidance.” It decreed, for the first time, that at least half of what appears on noncommercial TV stations must meet the FCC’s definition of “educational, cultural, or instructional” programming. Religious exhortation, proselytizing, or statements of personal religious belief-according to the FCC-do not meet the definition.

What effect will this ruling have? A profound one. Noncommercial educational stations-which are much cheaper to own than commercial stations because they can’t carry ads-are often small, shoestring operations. Much of the fare on these stations (including Cornerstone) consists of sermons, church services, and shows in which people speak about the importance of religion to their lives. But, according to the FCC, such programs are neither educational nor cultural because they do not “serve the educational and cultural and broadcast needs of the entire community to which they are assigned.”

To the FCC, such television stations must be “responsive to the overall public as opposed to the sway of particular political, economic, social, or religious interests.” Leave aside that, in today’s media marketplace, everyone is “narrowcasting.” As FCC Commissioners Harold Furchtgott-Roth and Michael Powell asked in dissent: Why does the broadcast of an opera, which few Americans watch, serve the needs of the entire community while testimony about one’s religious faith addresses only “particular,” specialized interests?

Simple. To the FCC, religion is divisive-unless it is presented in a rationalist context devoid of emotion. Thus the commission says that programs analyzing the role of religion in history, current events, or art are “educational,” as are shows exploring religious texts “from a historical or literary perspective.” But if you actually believe the essence of a religion to be true-and the best guide to a moral life-it is not “educational” to teach it as such.

How the FCC will apply these rules is a mystery. Commissioner Susan Ness, who voted for the new policy, conceded that some sermons could count as “educational” while others would not. She raised-but couldn’t answer-the question of whether a performance of Handel’s “Messiah” would count as “educational” if performed at the Kennedy Center but not if performed in a church.

Writing Religion out of the Culture

As much as one would like to say otherwise, there is an antireligious bias at work here. By finding that certain religious programming is not “cultural,” the FCC is writing religion out of the culture. Meanwhile, the commission approves of programming that examines “the apparent dichotomy between science, technology, and established religious tenets.” Apparent dichotomy? Perhaps. But for more than a few distinguished thinkers, the scientific and religious viewpoints are converging. In short, it is possible to be a scientist and a believer at the same time, although the FCC would not seem to know it.

In the end, Cornerstone did get its license. But it may not be able to complete the swap unless it changes its programming. If it does, other religious broadcasters will be able to do nothing other than petition the agency to change its mind. Yet the FCC often ignores such petitions. Perhaps there should be an “educational” program on the foolishness of decisions like this.

FCC Chair Brendan Carr: ‘We’re not done yet’ seeing the consequences of shifting media ecosystem

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr said Thursday that ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel appeared to “mislead” the American public about facts regarding conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s killing in the days leading up to his show’s suspension.

Carr also told CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” that “we’re not done yet” with the changes in “the media ecosystem” that are consequences of President Donald Trump’s election last fall.

ABC on Wednesday night said it was pulling “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” off the air “indefinitely” because of the host’s comments, which linked Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement.

“The issue that arose here, where lots and lots of people were upset, was not a joke,” Carr said Thursday on CNBC.

“It was not making fun,” said Carr, who hours before Kimmel’s show was pulled off the air suggested the FCC might take action against ABC and its parent company, Disney.

“It was appearing to directly mislead the American public about a significant fact that probably one of the most significant political events we’ve had in a long time, for the most significant political assassination we’ve seen in a long time,” he said.

Utah court documents filed Tuesday in connection with the murder charge against Robinson say his mother told investigators, “Over the last year or so, her son had become more political and had started to lean more to the left, becoming more pro gay and trans-rights oriented.”

Those documents also say that when Robinson was asked why he killed Kirk, “Robinson explained there is too much evil, and [Kirk] spreads too much hate.”

A day before those documents were filed, Kimmel, in his show’s opening monologue Monday, said, “The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Trump on Wednesday evening praised Kimmel’s suspension and called on NBC to cancel its own late-night shows, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

“Squawk on the Street” anchor Carl Quintanilla asked Carr about that on Thursday.

“I asked earlier about Fallon and Seth Meyers, but is the president’s view that they should also be taken off the air, shared by the FCC?” Quintanilla asked.

Carr replied, “I don’t speak for the president.”

“Our goal and our obligation here is to make sure that broadcasters are serving the public interest,” Carr said.

“And if there’s local TV stations that don’t think that running that programming does it, then they have every right under the law in their contracts to preempt it. And we’ll see how this plays out.”

“I do think that again, we are in the midst of a massive shift in dynamics in the media ecosystem for lots of reasons, again, including the permission structure that President Trump’s election has provided,” the FCC chief said.

“And I would simply say we’re not done yet with seeing the consequences of that,” he said.

CNBC anchor David Faber followed up on that.

“What does that mean when you say you’re not done yet?” Faber asked. “Then, I mean, will you only be pleased when none of these comedians have a show on broadcast television?”

Carr replied, “No, it’s not any particular show or any particular person. It’s just we’re in the midst of a very disruptive moment right now, and I just, frankly, expect that we’re going to continue to see changes in the media ecosystem.”

Asked by anchor Jim Cramer if the U.S. government should “have someone who reviews the writers before the host says something,” Carr said, “No.”

Speaking in England on Thursday, Trump said Kimmel “said a horrible thing about a great gentleman known as Charlie Kirk, and Jimmy Kimmel is not a talented person.”

“He had very bad ratings, and they should have fired him a long time ago. So, you know, you can call that free speech or not,” Trump said. “He was fired for lack of talent.”

Kimmel has not been fired.

The president nominated Carr as FCC chair.

On Wednesday, before ABC yanked Kimmel’s show, Carr called Kimmel’s comments “truly sick” and said there was a “strong case” for action against ABC and Disney.

“This is a very, very serious issue right now for Disney. We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr told right-wing commentator Benny Johnson that day. “These companies can find ways to take action on Kimmel, or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

“They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest,” Carr said.

Hours after Carr’s comments were reported by Johnson, Nexstar Media Group said its stations that are affiliated with ABC would preempt Kimmel’s show “for the foreseeable future” because of Kimmel’s remarks.

Nexstar is seeking regulatory approval from the FCC for its planned $6.2 billion merger with Tegna

About 10% of ABC affiliates are owned by Nexstar.

House Democratic leaders on Thursday called for Carr’s resignation, alleging that he had engaged “in the corrupt abuse of power.”

In a statement, the Democrats accused the FCC chairman of “bullying ABC, the employer of Jimmy Kimmel, and forcing the company to bend the knee to the Trump administration.”

Former President Barack Obama, in a post on X on Thursday, said, “After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.”

“This is precisely the kind of government coercion that the First Amendment was designed to prevent — and media companies need to start standing up rather than capitulating to it,” Obama wrote.

President Donald Trump on Thursday suggested that the federal government might revoke the licenses of broadcast television networks that are “against” him.

Trump’s comment came a day after ABC suspended airing the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show because of comments its host made linking the alleged killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to Trump’s MAGA movement.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr earlier on Wednesday had hinted that the broadcast license of ABC — which is a subsidiary of Disney — was at risk if it did not “take action on Kimmel.”

Speaking on Thursday to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “I have read someplace that the networks were 97% against me, again, 97% negative, and yet I won and easily, all seven swing states,” referring to his 2024 election win.

“They give me only bad publicity, press. I mean, they’re getting a license,” Trump said, according to audio from a press gaggle provided by the White House.

“I would think maybe their license should be taken away,” Trump said.

The president said that the decision “will be up to Brendan Carr.”

Trump specifically referred to criticism he has gotten from Kimmel and CBS late-night talk-show host Stephen Colbert.

“Look, that’s something that should be talked about for licensing, too,” Trump said.

“When you have a network and you have evening shows, and all they do is hit Trump,” he said. “That’s all they do. If you go back, I guess they haven’t had a conservative on in years or something, somebody said.”

“But when you go back, take a look, all they do is hit Trump. They’re licensed. They’re not allowed to do that. They’re an arm of the Democrat party,” he said.

Carr earlier Thursday told CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” that “we’re not done yet” with changes in “the media ecosystem” that are consequences of Trump’s election.

“I think Brendan Carr is outstanding, he’s a patriot,” said Trump, who nominated Carr to his position.

“He loves our country, and he’s a tough guy. So we’ll have to see.”

Broadcast television stations affiliated with networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox, must receive a license from the FCC to operate because their content is transmitted over the air, and is technically free for viewers as long as they have an antenna.

That contrasts with cable TV networks, whose subscribers pay fees to distributors to watch.

BREAKING: WOW. Late-night TV icon David Letterman publicly TRASHES Trump and Big Media for axing Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colberts’ shows in an obviously political attempt to muzzle Trump’s most prominent critics.

Speaking to The Atlantic’s Jeffery Goldberg, Letterman says “well, this is a misery. And in the world of somebody who is an authoritarian, maybe a dictatorship, sooner or later everyone is going to be touched. But this is me. For 30 years, I did this for a living. So I see this happen. They took care of Colbert. That was rude. That was inexcusable. The man deserves a great deal of credit. He’s in the Hall of Fame nine times. And to be manipulated like that because the Ellison family didn’t want to trouble Donald Trump with this move.”

“So they got rid of him,” continued Letterman. “ Not only got rid of him, got rid of the whole franchise. You’re not going to have to worry about anything, Larry. It’s all gone. It’s fine. Good night. And then my good friend Jimmy Kimmel. I, you know, I just, I feel bad about this because we all see where this is going, correct? It’s managed media. And it’s no good. It’s silly. It’s ridiculous. And you can’t go around firing somebody because you’re fearful or trying to suck up to an authoritarian criminal administration in the Oval Office. That’s just not how this works.”

He’s absolutely right. These big corporations need to stick by their talent, stick to their principles, and not just go firing people left and right just because the president tells them to! Jimmy Kimmel has been on the air for twenty-three years! Colbert was on the air for a decade! These are American icons being thrown straight into the trash at the behest of a would-be dictator, and it is beyond appalling to witness.

The Japanese ruled Korea until the end of the Second World War, at which time the United States separated the peninsula along the now-famed 38th parallel. Ben Toney and Augustus John

Posted on August 20, 2018by Royal Rosamond Press

When I learned Ben was seriously ill and in the hospital, I knew he was going to die. I wanted to get a message to him before he left. This is in May. I only learned about the KORE connection, four days ago.

Chas Cunningham smeared and tried to destroy Gully Jimson’s mural that was inspired by the character and world of Augustus John, the close kin of Ian Fleming. Little people with little minds are always trying to do harm to the creative ones. This is why we dress, and act like fools. Perhaps they will leave us alone. Maybe, they will not go into a jealous rage?

ben got to know some very famous people, and just met quite a few. He told me he had drinks with Peter Sellers after a show, and I was jealous of Ben, for the only time. I have a Seller’s character in my Bond book based upon this – work of art!

My Friend Ben Toney

Ben Toney had a fall a month ago, and his health has declined. He is in the hospital. For six year we have been fast facebook friends. We shared so much information. We fought side by side the rise of Trump. Ben is a friend – and ally! He managed his facebook the way it was set up to be. He has so many wonderful memories to share, and there were no outsiders. If you found Toney, you were in the ‘In Crowd’. I found Ben while looking at the genealogy of Rosamond Clifford, his kindred.

I learned Ben was gravely ill when I posted on my Ian Fleming revival, that brings the Bond lineage back to life in his granddaughter, Victoria Bond. She has this dream, this vision, where a great fleet is gathered once again. The famous British artist, Augustus John, had a son, Caspar John, who refused the title Sir. He was a Sea Lord. I revive Tug Boat Anny, and put her on a tugboat on the Thames. From here she broadcast her talk radio show. I modeled her after the pirate ship Radio London. Ian Fleming is kin to the John family. My kin, Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor is kin to John via the Getty family. Her grandmother is Elizabeth Mary Rosemond. Liz was born in John’s house with twenty of his paintings on the wall. The character, Gully Jimson, is based upon Augustus John. He lives on a old barge on the Thames.

Above are two paintings of Fanny Cornforth by Rossetti. She was a whore. Would she have made porno movies if the technology was available? Trump may be brought down by a wanton hussy such as she, who would have made a great Queen of the Pirates. The top image is of The Grail Mistress. Under her is Fair Rosamond, Ben’s ancestor.

We are preparing to set sail. I have gathered The Grail Fleet. Leading this fleet, is the Golden Hind, sailed by Captain Sir Francis Drake. He was a pirate for Queen Elizabeth. Next comes Jimson’s barge. Next comes the ship that was Radio London. Then come the Navy Ship that Ben served on. Then, come the ships that Caspar commanded.

Hail Britannia!

You can say this fleet is a Bohemian fleet, a Gypsy fleet, a Rebel fleet, that will always set sail when a Tyrant and his gang of liars and crooks do away with the Free press, Freedom of expression, and…………The Truth!

I am asking for permission to use some of the image s from these sites. I am also suggesting a movie be made about the exploits of Ben Pirate.

I can not tolerate the idea of a world without Ben in it. I am witness to his fond farewells to member of his crew, and, am left with the sense we are losing a important part of our history. I salute all of these Sea Lords of the Airwaves who braved unchartered waters, and a new frontier.

Air Space………….The Final Frontier!

Here are the vessels that Sir Caspar John served upon. He was born into a artistic family. I would like see the College of Defence Studies founded by the Artist, Sir Winston Churchill, expanded to include Creative People in Britain and the U.S. As a rule artists, writers, and musicians do not take slaves, gas people, and loot other people’s art. Hitler did all three. He was a bad artist who cost the world many lives, and a trillion dollars to put him down. We took back the art he stole and put it in sacred public places. I support Theresa May’s strike against Assad, who gassed his own people.

Below are the warships that Sir Ian Easton served on. I know everyday he thwarted the efforts of a dictator who robbed so much art that was not his, Caspar thought of his father and his Bohemian friends, doing what they damn well please, and being as different, and eccentric, as can be!

Long live the Bohemian Navy!
