Showdown Between Trump Supporters And Counter-Protesters Shuts Down Harlow Rd. Sunday
KLCC | By Rachael McDonald
Published May 5, 2019 at 4:35 PM PDT

A clash between Trump supporters and counter-protesters shut down Harlow Road in Eugene Sunday afternoon.
Sunday afternoon, members of a group called “Women for Trump” and “Proud Boys” waved American flags on the I-5 overpass. Then protesters showed up, including some members of Rose City Antifa. According to Eugene Weekly’s Camilla Mortensen, it became a shouting match between the groups. Eugene and Springfield police showed up to disperse the crowd. Mortensen says there were about 50 of the Trump supporters and about 100 counter-protesters. The groups ended up near the Walmart at Gateway Mall before things quieted down. Harlow Road was re-opened after a few hours.
There was reportedly one arrest during the incident.

US President Donald Trump has said he will designate Antifa as a “major terrorist organisation” as part of his efforts to target the “radical left”, following the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In a post to his Truth Social platform, Trump called the group a “sick, dangerous, radical left disaster” and pledged that the group would be “thoroughly investigated”.
Antifa – a decentralised, leftist movement that opposes far-right, racist and fascist groups – has long attracted Trump’s ire.
But experts have been quick to question how the president will actually target the group, which lacks a distinct leader, membership list or structure. In 2020, then-FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress that Antifa was better defined as an ideology than as a formal organisation.
Did I see ANTIFA demonstrating against backers of Trump, who were hanging pro-Trump banners over our freeway? Perhance was Donald told about this, poltica event? Did he see photographs? Is this why Trump labeled ANTIFA “Prino RICO?
We are looking at the biggest Anti-American Democracy i n our history. Joseph McCarthy would – egg the Trumpites one. This is when the Jews of Germany got out a map and began to look for another place to live.

Clash On Harlow

It is 2:07 P.M. I just got back from shopping at Wal-Mart next to Harlow Rd where I saw about 20 cops and ambulances.
I saw three women walking off the overpass. I asked them what was going on, and, pressed for more details. One was wearing a “Jesus For Trump” t-shirt that I asked about. They told me they had joined the larger group. They asked me why I was asking so many questions. I told them I own a newspaper. All of a sudden they did not want to talk.
“We don’t talk to the liberal press.”
I asked them why Christians are for a man who lied 10,000 times. They said this was a lie. I asked about the Access Hollywood tape. A dude came over and asked the three women if I was bothering them. I took a step forward and said they could call a cop if I was. There must have been 30 of them within a hundred yards. I assumed he was one of them. He defended Jesus and the End Times. He thought I was the Register Guard, who were on the overpass. He called the free press liars. He too did not want to hear my side of things, and, this is what is scary. The Trumpites are encouraging their FOLLOWERS to vote their faith, which means, don’t listen to anyone but them. This is worse than Secular Fascism. Rather than be for a state religion, Hitler went after a religious group.
The Kimites came after me because they did not want a religious opinion to exist in McKenzie Meadows, but their own. Like the Jews – who rejected Jesus – I needed to be locked up – and shut up! My neighbors had to be warned about me. I asked one of the women protestors if I could have a pamphlet so I could get a good look at their site. She went to get one in her car, and another Thug Hog Woman, said;
“Don’t give him one!”
“There is it. The free press is not worthy to receive any of their good news. The enemy press will distort the truth. I told them Trump lied 10,000 times, and they shrieked!
I conclude that on this day, Trump became a Religious Dictator.

Eugene police are asking people to avoid the area around Harlow Road bridge over Interstate 5 Sunday afternoon after two groups clashed during a rally.
At 12:19 p.m. Sunday, Springfield Police Department called for the assistance of Eugene police at the Harlow Road bridge overpass as a group holding a rally and counter protestors clashed.
Apparently a group called America First is waving American flags and holding up signs for the highway traffic. A group of counter protestors waving their own flags and signs are situated next to them on the bridge. At 1:45 p.m. Sunday there were about 50 America First protestors and about 100 counter protestors.
The Harlow Bridge over I-5 has been closed for the time being, Eugene police said in the advisory.
Travelers are asked to avoid the Harlow Road Area near the I-5 highway.
This story is developing and will be updated.
Chaos On Harlow Road

Well! Well! Look what I found! That is the flag of the ex-Soviet Union, like the one I wear at my demonstrations. Didn’t I wonder if I would die today, on Cinco de Mayo? I wonder if that guy who came up to me, had a gun in his car. Lucky this other dude came along and asked him about Obama giving billions to Iran.
I talked to the woman in pink.
All I did was go get me some groceries – with my walker! I will take my camera wherever I go from now on! The Devil has come to Springfield.

The Oregon clash between Antifa and conservative demonstrators was “complete anarchy and lawlessness,” according to a journalist injured in an attack by alleged members of the group.
Andy Ngo told Todd Starnes Monday on “The Todd Starnes Show” he was covering the Portland demonstration Saturday when the protesters turned their attention to him.
“I moved towards the front of the march with my GoPro and my camera, and what I recall is somebody ran hard into behind me and hit me very hard in the back of my head,” he said.
“They were marching, ironically, in front of the Oregon Justice Center — which houses the sheriff’s office and a Portland police precinct — so we were surrounded by all these institutions that represent the rule of law.

‘Bold conservatives’ rally in Eugene on Saturday, on same day as Pride event, will celebrate Donald Trump, guns

“This event is not for soft-conservatives, but those who are bold.”
That is the call to arms on the Facebook page for the “God, Guns and Trump Rally” planned for Saturday afternoon in front of the Lane County Courthouse in Eugene.
The rally’s organizers are encouraging participants to carry and proudly display their guns. Eugene TV station KEZI reports that “more than 40 people” are expected to participate.
The event, coming on the heels of mass shootings in Texas and Ohio over the weekend that killed at least 31 people, is expected to bring out protesters. “God, Guns and Trump Rally” organizer Jamie Burnett, who claims membership in the militia group Oregon III%, appears untroubled by the possibility of meeting resistance on Saturday.
The White House has pushed back after reports that US President Donald Trump was told in May that he was among hundreds of names mentioned in justice department documents relating to late convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The Wall Street Journal said the president was informed of the fact by Attorney General Pam Bondi during a routine briefing. It noted that appearing in the documents was not a sign of any wrongdoing by Trump.
In response, a White House spokesman called it a “fake news story”.
The Trump administration has been under mounting pressure to disclose more information about Epstein – with whom Trump was friendly before, according to the president, they fell out in 2004.
Over time, what started as a baseless conspiracy on obscure platforms has migrated into the mainstream. It has influenced rhetoric and policy debates, and even reshaped the American political landscape. The foundational belief of many of the QAnon followers is that Trump is a heroic figure fighting the elite pedophile ring.
Trump’s attempts at downplaying or obstructing the very disclosures they believe would validate their worldview has led to confusion. To some, the delay in the release of the files feels like a betrayal, or even the possibility of his wrongdoing. Others are trying to reinterpret Trump’s actions through increasingly baseless conspiracy logic.
Trump has publicly dismissed demands for the full release of the Epstein Files as a “hoax.” He has also made false claims. On July 15, 2025, Trump said: “And I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey. They were made up by Obama.”
The organizers of an LGBTQ film festival in Phoenix have canceled the annual event “in direct response” to President Donald Trump’s executive order seeking to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs at publicly funded institutions.
The nonprofit Desperado LGBTQ+ Film Festival is hosted by a student organization at Paradise Valley Community College, which receives federal funds. The festival’s mission, according to its website, is to showcase quality films that are related to the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.” The festival was first held in 2009, and the most recent edition — which included seven feature films and seven shorts — was in January.
“As a publicly funded institution, we must comply with these orders,” the festival’s organizers said in a statement on its website. “Failure to do so would jeopardize the district’s federal funding, including student financial aid and grants that support over 300 positions across our campuses. The loss of such funding would create a ripple effect, significantly affecting students, faculty, staff, the community, and the educational services we provide.”

The Oath Keeper’s trial has begun. A year before the elections I attended a rally put on by The One Percenters. They were to speak after a Gay Pride event. There was – violence! This was a very prophetic AND DRAMATIC event. Religious schisms and strife – have always been dramatic because a Vortex of Righteousness must be built. That the leader of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival established a perimeter into the community, and polices that area – IS ALWAYS THREATENING – especially if there is…

Oregon’s Own Antichrist vs. MADA
Posted on January 14, 2021 by Royal Rosamond Press

When I went to Wayne Morse Square dressed as The Antichrist, I did so trying to get my courage back after being threatened by the Alleybellites and Kimites. In looking at the video I took, talking to a Three-Percenter, I wondered why he made no comment about me saying – I am The Antichrist. After the Storm The Dome Day, I realized there’s eight or ten guys (and a woman?) who claim to be the Antichrist – at every event! I thought I was original! My Light Sabre did get some attention.
In the God Gun Liberty video, it appears I might get in a fight with a young man wearing a MADA cap. He got punched in the nose when the T-Mob pushed people around to get to the podium and mic – that the Gay Pride Day folks refused to hand over. A Lesbian socked him in the nose – and drew blood.
It is now being reported Lawmakers helped the T-Mob in Oregon, and at the Dome, that looks like a scene out of Gone With The Wind. As I talk to an armed man, Belle’s old boyfriend (who changed his name to Marla) danced half-naked in the background. The Crazy are legion at Trump rallies. This is what he meant by “wild time”. Consider the source. Trump is not sorry – at all! His office is just another disguise for the real Antichrist – who might start a nuclear war.

“Republican state representative Mike Nearman has been billed for damages to the Oregon Capitol caused by a group of anti-mask and armed demonstrators in December, after security footage showed that the lawmaker opened the door to allow the group inside.
Nearman, who has since been removed from his legislative committees and had his own access to the state Capitol restricted, has now been asked to resign by the state’s top House lawmaker.
The incident occurred during a Dec. 21 special legislative session at the state Capitol in Salem, when a group gathered to protest the state’s coronavirus restrictions.
Though the state’s Capitol building was locked, deterring the group from entering, security footage from that day shows Nearman walking to an exit and opening the door, allowing a large number of rioters to begin streaming inside.”

“local conservatives made good on their promise Saturday, Aug. 10, to bring a contentious rally to downtown Eugene despite strong push-back and concerns the rally could turn violent. It appears the one person arrested may have been a rally supporter pretending to be Antifa.“

Above is a pic of me about to get on the EMX to go to Wayne Morse Square to take part in the God, Guns, and Liberty demonstration that was originally advertised as a rally for President Trump. Why was this changed? It appears a Trump supporter disguised himself as Antifa and there might have been a plan for him to attack the Three Percenters – who also said there would be Bible lessons at he rally. This is why I showed up, and so did Sarah Skochko. Because Trump and his supporters were ready to blame Antifa for the Insurrection and Riot that occurred later, I suspect local conservatives who backed the Three Percenters, were prepared to created a Propaganda Event, where it appears the Godless Left, and Antifa – ATTACKED GOD AND AMERICAN LIBERTY!
This constitutes Conspiracy – AND RACKETEERING – where this rally on August 11, 2019 was preparation by Trump and his backers to declare the Democrats stole the election – if they lost!.
I consider this a violation of my First Amendment Rights to Freedom of Religion and Speech, whereas a fake Religious Event and fake Second Amendment Rights gathering, was aimed at reelecting Trump. I am calling Governor Kotex to conduct a thorough investigation because it appears a planned Gay Pride celebration was going to be covertly employed to make it appear LGBTQ people are against God and Guns. I see Roger Stone having a hand in this.
President Joe Biden – is not the Fake President of the United States! The Three Percenters and Oath Keepers are Fake Patriots – that Trump is promising to pardon if he get reelected! Eugene Oregon – was targeted because it is a Liberal City, and thus does not deserve God’s Truth – or any truth!

“Howard’s online presence indicates he is a Trump supporter, but he was dressed like Antifa during the rally. Sometimes referred to as using “black-bloc” tactics, Antifa typically dresses in all black and will cover their faces with scarves, hoods and sunglasses. After the event, rally organizer Andrew Allwander referenced Antifa violence, and claimed online that Antifa had tried to punch rally-goers, seemingly referring to Howard.
Sarah Skochko, of the Unitarian Universalist Church said she was there to express her beliefs.
“This is an act of faith. The fascists wanted to bring God into it, and so the God contingent is showing up. And I just find it really interesting that people make gods of their own imagining, and they just happen to look like themselves.”
How Pro-Trump Forces Pushed a Lie About Antifa at the Capitol Riot
On social media, on cable networks and even in the halls of Congress, supporters of Donald J. Trump tried to rewrite history in real time, pushing the fiction that left-wing agitators were to blame for the violence on Jan. 6.
At 1:51 p.m. on Jan. 6, a right-wing radio host named Michael D. Brown wrote on Twitter that rioters had breached the United States Capitol — and immediately speculated about who was really to blame. “Antifa or BLM or other insurgents could be doing it disguised as Trump supporters,” Mr. Brown wrote, using shorthand for Black Lives Matter. “Come on, man, have you never heard of psyops?”
Only 13,000 people follow Mr. Brown on Twitter, but his tweet caught the attention of another conservative pundit: Todd Herman, who was guest-hosting Rush Limbaugh’s national radio program. Minutes later, he repeated Mr. Brown’s baseless claim to Mr. Limbaugh’s throngs of listeners: “It’s probably not Trump supporters who would do that. Antifa, BLM, that’s what they do. Right?”
What happened over the next 12 hours illustrated the speed and the scale of a right-wing disinformation machine primed to seize on a lie that served its political interests and quickly spread it as truth to a receptive audience. The weekslong fiction about a stolen election that President Donald J. Trump pushed to his millions of supporters had set the stage for a new and equally false iteration: that left-wing agitators were responsible for the attack on the Capitol.
In fact, the rioters breaking into the citadel of American democracy that day were acolytes of Mr. Trump, intent on stopping Congress from certifying his electoral defeat. Subsequent arrests and investigations have found no evidence that people who identify with antifa, a loose collective of antifascist activists, were involved in the insurrection.
local conservatives made good on their promise Saturday, Aug. 10, to bring a contentious rally to downtown Eugene despite strong push-back and concerns the rally could turn violent. It appears the one person arrested may have been a rally supporter pretending to be Antifa.
The so-called “God, Guns and Liberty” rally (formerly “God, Guns and Trump”) drew approximately 50 to 60 right-wing supporters while also bringing out around 250 to 300 counter-protesters and many more spectators from Saturday Market. Many rally-goers came armed, with some carrying AR-15 style assault rifles and wearing tactical gear.
The day started like any other summer Saturday in Eugene, with Saturday Market and Farmers Market attendees going about their business. Counter-protesters began assembling shortly before noon and by 1 pm God, Guns and Liberty rally-goers were on-scene.
Before long, tensions flared. One of the day’s early scuffles occurred as rally-goers entered the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza. Other minor scuffles broke out throughout the day, most of which the Eugene Police Department (EPD) did not respond to. Capt. Erik Klinko said at a later press conference that no one came forward at the time claiming to be the victim of an assault, though that could change later.
EPD had a contingent of riot police on hand inside the Lane County building, but those officers were never called upon. According to an EPD press release, Springfield police and Lane County Sheriff’s officers were also on hand to ensure EPD could police the rally and nearby events.
The rally was originally planned to take place for two hours in the plaza, but after less than 15 minutes, the groups moved out to 8th Avenue. EPD responded by closing off 8th between Pearl Street and Oak Street. During the rest of the event, rally-goers were mostly hemmed-in on the sidewalk just outside the plaza, with counter-protesters chanting slogans like “Go home Nazi scum,” “No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here” and “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA,” which have been common at other counter protests.
The lone arrest came about halfway through the rally. Brandon Alan Howard, 33, who goes by “Brian Fife” on Facebook was arrested by EPD and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after he was witnessed harassing counter-protesters. EPD said in a press release that Howard was found to have a wrench taped to his arm.
Howard’s online presence indicates he is a Trump supporter, but he was dressed like Antifa during the rally.
Allwander also claims Howard harassed rally-goers. Eugene Weekly, however, witnessed Howard mingling peaceably amongst the group, even partially removing his mask when talking to some of them. When EW asked about the conversation, rally-goers responded only that Howard was “undercover.”
The event was mostly peaceful, and several counter-protesters worked to lighten tensions in more unconventional ways, such as one man dancing near the rally-goers while wearing only a thong — an act many found amusing.
Sarah Skochko, of the Unitarian Universalist Church said she was there to express her beliefs.
“This is an act of faith. The fascists wanted to bring God into it, and so the God contingent is showing up. And I just find it really interesting that people make gods of their own imagining, and they just happen to look like themselves.
“Our faith as Unitarian Universalists calls us to show up in the name of justice and in the name of peace.”
Jason Marks, 54, of Lane County said he was at the rally to show support for the Second Amendment and didn’t see being armed with an AR-15 style rifle at the rally as intimidating. When asked if he supports Donald Trump’s presidency, he said only that he voted for him and he supports the office of the presidency no matter who holds the position. He added he has some reservations about Trump.
City Councilor Emily Semple, who was among the counter-protesters as a private citizen and not as a representative of the city said that, while not ideal, she was happy the rally went off mostly peacefully. She said she was there partly to see what was happening but also to stand up with the people she supports. When asked if she thought the event was a success as far as remaining mostly peaceful, she said she did.
Semple said, “I think on a lot of levels it was good — expression of free speech and it got this community of activists off their couch and to interact again.”

Guns, God and Liberty rally held in Oregon

EUGENE, Oregon (CNN) — The God, Guns and Liberty group held a pro-gun rally Saturday, one week to the day 22 people were shot and killed in a mass shooting in El Paso.
Tony, a supporter of the group, showed up to the rally early with two other supporters.
He said he’s proud to come out and stand up for the Second Amendment.
ADVERTISING
“We’re just making sure everybody knows you have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms period! End of discussion,” he said. “When these people that are out here protesting, when they’re being hurt, robbed, raped, murdered, they call somebody with a gun to come and protect them. So, this is ridiculous.”
Tony wanted to make the group’s intention clear for the rally and to all other sides of it.
“We’re not here to cause fights, arguments, break windows, throw bricks, call people names,” he said. “We’re just here for our Second Amendment protections.”
The rally was rich, full of culture and music, as some spoke out in opposition of each other.
Patrick Kavaney said he thinks it’s bad timing for people to be holding a gun rights rally.
“I think it’s provocative for people to show up a week after El Paso loaded with heat,” Kavaney said. “So, I’m here in solidarity with all my brothers and sisters to say that’s not OK.”
No matter what political side people were for at the rally, it was free speech for all at the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza.
Eugene Police said the rally ended peacefully with only one arrest made.
