Mon Belle of The Rose

I could not wait to go home and write a poem about meeting Belle. I could have asked her out for dinner, and she would have accepted. But, I wanted….A Muse! I was not looking for a sex partner. In two hours I have done a sketch, and wrote this poem!

Mon Belle

When I was a gifted youth
I do not recall if I studied the artist Sandro Botticelli.
When a man
I wrote my version of ‘The Birth of Venus’
and did a painting of my muse
coming out of the sea.

I must have neglected this great Renaissance Artist,
and his beloved Muse – until now!
But, Since I beheld her, my Belle
and compared her to Simonetta Cattaneo de Candia Vespucci,
do I now behold all the clues of the petals
and the thread
that have brought me through the labyrinth of time,
to adore her once again.

And she recognizes me!
Centuries ago I was buried at her feet
in order to continue my long vigilance,
for she was only asleep.
One day she will awaken, and the City of Flowers
will again bask in her unparelled beauty.

Bella! Mon Belle!

Following the Renaissance of the Miller Brothers
to the top of the hill in the lost city of Fairmount,
I came to the crossroads of time.
When I saw the intersection of Flora and Fairmount,
I knew it would be a matter of days
before I was with my Sleeping Belle, once again,
once upon a time
She is the one I came here for.

After finding the lost tombstone of George Melvin Miller,
the founder of Florence,
I began to see the grand design.
When she came across the piazza de Keasy
while the minstrel sang a song by the Grateful Dead
‘Saint Stephen’
I had my rose at ready.
When I handed it to her
I heard the lovers complain
Where is my Belle Rose!

This is the Renaissance Rose
that my ancestor employed to write his name,
Rosemondt.
When I told Belle what kind of work I do,
I described my painting of a woman coming out of the sea.
Many have asked me who she is. Now, I can say;
“She is Belle, the most beautiful woman in Florence.”
We will go there, soon,
to behold the sea, a shell, and the foam

In 1475
at La Giostra
a jousting tournament was held at the Piazza Santa Croce.
The gallant knight, Giuliano
entered the field bearing a banner
on which was a picture of Simonetta as a helmeted Pallas Athene
Her image was painted by Botticelli himself.
Underneath was the French inscription
La Sans Pareille, meaning “The unparalleled one”.

From then on Simonetta became known
as the most beautiful woman in Florence,
and later
the most beautiful woman of the Renaissance.

Simonetta Vespucci
I salute thee!

Athena is associated with weaving, as is Neith. The Rosamond cote of arms has two roses on either side of a weaving needle that is made into a cross? It could be a spindle.

“The Sleeping Beauty” (French: La Belle au bois dormant “The Beauty sleeping in the Wood”) by Charles Perrault or “Little Briar Rose” (German: Dornröschen) by the Brothers Grimm is a classic fairytale involving a beautiful princess, enchantment of sleep, and a handsome prince. Written as an original literary tale, it was first published by Charles Perrault in Histoires ou contes du temps passé in 1697.[1]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genevieve_of_Brabant

The princess’s name has been unstable. In Sun, Moon, and Talia, she is named Talia (“Sun” and “Moon” being her twin children). Perrault removed this, leaving her anonymous, although naming her daughter “L’Aurore”. The Brothers Grimm named her “Briar Rose” in their 1812 collection.[8] This transfer was taken up by Disney in the film, which also called her Aurora.[9] John Stejean named her “Rosebud” in TeleStory Presents.

The Brothers Grimm included a variant, Little Briar Rose, in their collection (1812).[8] It truncates the story as Perrault and Basile told it to the ending now generally known: the arrival of the prince concludes the tale.[10] Some translations of the Grimm tale give the princess the name Rosamond. The brothers considered rejecting the story on the grounds that it was derived from Perrault’s version, but the presence of the Brynhild tale convinced them to include it as an authentically German tale. Still, it is the only known German variant of the tale, and the influence of Perrault is almost certain.[11]

Athena/Athene (/ˈpæləs/; Παλλὰς Ἀθηνᾶ; Παλλὰς Ἀθήνη), is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. Minerva is the Roman goddess identified with Athena.[3]

Athena is portrayed as a shrewd companion of heroes and is the patron goddess of heroic endeavour. She is the virgin patroness of Athens. The Athenians founded the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city, Athens (Athena Parthenos), in her honour.[3]

Athena’s veneration as the patron of Athens seems to have existed from the earliest times, and was so persistent that archaic myths about her were recast to adapt to cultural changes. In her role as a protector of the city (polis), many people throughout the Greek world worshiped Athena as Athena Polias (Ἀθηνᾶ Πολιάς “Athena of the city”). The city of Athens and the goddess Athena essentially bear the same name (Athena the Goddess, Athenai the city) while it is not known which of the two words is derived from the other.[4]

The Greek philosopher Plato (428–347 BC) identified her with the Egyptian deity Neith, which, they say was worshiped at the city of Sais, located at the Delta of Egypt, as the founder of the city.[5] The latter was the war goddess and huntress deity of the Egyptians since the ancient Pre-Dynastic period, who was also identified with weaving.

Her name also may be interpreted as meaning water. In time, this led to her being considered as the personification of the primordial waters of creation. She is identified as a great mother goddess in this role as a creator.

Neith’s symbol and part of her hieroglyph also bore a resemblance to a loom, and so later in the history of Egyptian myths, she also became goddess of weaving, and gained this version of her name, Neith, which means weaver. At this time her role as a creator changed from being water-based to that of the deity who wove all of the world and existence into being on her loom.

Belle Asks Me To Write About My Sobriety And Cancer

Posted on December 23, 2024 by Royal Rosamond Press

I became suspicious of Belle Burch when she wrote this in a e-mail

“I’d like to hear more of your personal life story. “When I got sober”, “When I was homeless”, “When I was fighting cancer”……. these are words you drop and then let flit by without much detail or explanation or storytelling. I want those details and stories. Please.

Tell me what you thought of my poem. Did it make you feel anything? Did it make you think? If so, what?”

I discovered who Belle’s friends were a couple of days later, and wondered if SLEEPS was trying to ROB my sobriety story and use it to attract donors. This thought – still blows my mind!

“I’d like to hear more of your personal life story.

“I’d like to hear more of your personal life story.

“I’d like to hear more of your personal life story.

This is real stalking. This is a public crucifixion of a sober human being who had twenty-seven years of sobriety, and now has thirty-eight. This is what Trump said was done to him. A millions Christians think he is Jesus-Messiah. He is poised to release all thos arrested for insurection. I am still being punished. I have no family and friends. I have what the State of Oregon has paid billions for. I have value, but, I am treated like shit. I am a Nazarite, and have decided to broadcast the secret of being that….

FOR FREE!

God won’t let me take anything for myself, because he gave me a new life! What more could you ask for?

Belle! You need to come out of the darkness – and tell the truth!

Based on the most recent available data, we calculated that Oregon’s costs of excessive alcohol use totaled approximately $4.8 billion in 2019. Approximately $2.6 billion (54 percent) of the costs associated with excessive alcohol use are external (or public) costs imposed on all Oregonians.

Belle Asks Me To Write Her About My Sobriety

Posted on May 23, 2019 by Royal Rosamond Press

I have attended hundreds of AA meetings in Lane County. Belle asked me to writer her about how I got sober. This is when I became suspicious. Belle Burch did not want what I have. Indeed, she looked a bit hungover when we met at the Wandering Goat. She had ten days to look at my blog. She had to have read my famous sister drowned on her first sober birthday, and, our sobriety was the crux of my auto-biography.

When I met with Belle in a get to know you meeting, she remained ANONYMOUS. She concealed her activity with anarchists, OCCUPY, and SLEEPS. I felt threatened by her and the anonymous people behind her in OUR community. I felt she was stalking me because I was the brother of a world famous artist, and had been close with Nancy, a good friend of the Kesey family. To protect myself, and my copyrights, I had to blog on the fact we had talked about her helping me with my autobiography. If I had sent her many long e-mails telling her about all my private matters, that she could write her own book about her very personal relationship with me. I suggest this was possible. Alley Valkyrie read this suggestion. Alley is a author.

What Belle, Alley, John Monroe, and others did, was launch a campaign to destroy my anonymity, and render me a pariah in this community. These three people had dealt with the terrible disease of alcoholism amongst the homeless. They had to know, they were TRYING to drive me insane, and take another drink. This is attempted murder. People who were, and are, given money to help people, want me dead. There is a $400,000 gift to the homeless at stake.

I called the FBI several days ago, and told them about my neighbors who said I should be “locked up”. My sister’s best friend was “locked up” in Camarillo State Hospital by her parents. It was a involuntary “lock up”. I got the ACLU to tey and help me get her out. I was unsuccessful. A year later, Sue’s father called me up. He was sobbing.

“Greg! What have they done to my daughter! They destroyed her!”

“I told you! I begged you to gather out of there!” and, we cried together.

They gave Sue about seven shock treatments. I will destroy all those who tried to destroy me, and take away my sobriety. Consider it – done! Belle and her gang experimented on me. They wanted to see if a collective, a coven of nobodies, could bring down somebody, who is somebody. Many of these people wore masks. They enjoyed their anonymity. Some of them are the famous Eugene Anarchists. Many of them are – INSANE!

Belle’s “Family”

Posted on December 17, 2018 by Royal Rosamond Press

Belle and her extended families have been in the news a whole bunch of times. WHO is Belle, protecting?

Above are pics of Jean Stacey with Belle’s lover, Ambrose Holtham-Keathley. He is Jean Stacey’s Whoville Poster Boy. Belle links arms with Ambrose in the City Manager’s office where they were arrested for trespass. This makes Belle Burch very Newsworthy. If she doesn’t want to be in the news – stay home! Note, they got their own news team. That’s attorney, Mary Broadhurst, with Whoville and SLEEPS colors.

Alley admitted it was wrong to be Sub-rosa when we met. Why wouldn’t Ambrose and his attorneys be filled in about out meeting – and my negative report in Royal Rosamond Press? Who else knew, before their Omnipresent Hit Woman, Alley Valkyrie, was called in? How do we know no Russian agent had infiltrated SLEEPS? These are criminals! If they got something to hide, they can be compromised!

Above is a photograph of me getting off the train in Eugene. This is March of 1987. Regardless of what strange things people say exist in this blog, I saved my life that day. I took the first step in restoring my sanity. I got what many people want. I will employ the people who tried to destroy me, get the message to those who suffer.

Step Two: “Came to believe a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity”

Flitting With Belle

After composing this blog I googled the movie ‘And God Created Woman’. My mind has never been more blown as I beheld BB Bridget Bardot on a bicycle that looks very much like the one I gave to Belle in exchange for modeling. I ask Belle Burch if I can call her BB. This a great validation from the Great Muse that this is a great Love Story, that is bigger than Belle and I. Indeed, we have been captured by this story that bids us to continue, to go forth, until we arrive at the Happy Ending. This is the story of Beauty and the Beast. I asked Belle to marry me several times in my e-mails. Consider Saint Steven’s Rose at our meeting. Belle is in love with a young man, but, she meets the Beast, an old man, who lives in a castle, with rose garden. When Belle met with me I gave her a rose from my garden. Her parents gave Belle her name somehow knowing, she had a date with destiny. BB stand for…………

La belle et la bête”

Beauty and the Beast.

Jon

Here is the e-mail I sent Belle.

“BB…..may I call you BB? ‘Poems To a Woman Arrested’.  Have you thought of being a reporter? “I cover the pavement!” Outlaw Reporter?

asleep in a tent on the concrete
in front of city hall
to the sounds of a quiet radio

“But the rose was awake all night for your sake,
Knowing your promise to me;”

Critique………work on your contrast to create more poetic drama.

Thursday is a good day to disturb the great white linen stretched and gessoed on a frame. We will take photos and make it shudder. Can I pick you up in my 72 Ford pick-up I call Big Blue? Give me a time. It is fare to warn you I live in Springfield near the mall.

I forgot to say PRESCOWITZ is BRASKEWITZ the BRA also PRE.

Here is the poem that inspired your Waterhouse.

Jon

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brigitte_Bardot

Bardot caught the attention of French intellectuals. She was the subject of Simone de Beauvoir’s 1959 essay, The Lolita Syndrome, which described Bardot as a “locomotive of women’s history” and built upon existentialist themes to declare her the first and most liberated woman of post-war France.[4

Two days after Belle and I met at the Wandering Goat, she asks me to give her “details and stories”. Why? I told her she is going to be the heir to my blog. All the “details” she could ever want are in Rosamondpress.

“I want those details and stories. Please.”

At our meeting, Belle had a chance to talk about my homelessness, and hers. But didn’t! Go look at our movie where she questions me about what kind of artist I am – in a very cute way. Where does that come from? She would have made a great reporter for Rosamondpress.

If so, what?

To Belle Burch

Apr 20”

What is Bohemian Belle after? It appears she is a very busy person. Why does she think I got gobs of time to author a “life story” just for her edification? She must be fishing for specific information. Like what? How about if I am dying of cancer and amgoing to leave Belle gobs of money, money that she and Ambrose are in desperate need of. Ambrose would be interested in my cancer story, and not my sober story. How about my homeless story? Would Ambrose Holtham-Keathley want more details about my homeless plight? Note in the list f things Belle wants from me, my cancer story is last on the list! That’s a dead give-away! Excuse my pun!

If I give Belle Burch my life story in e-mails, then she, and others, might believe this material is outside my copyright. Wrong! I own a special copyright given to ministers that protects all our letters and revelations.

I have been called ‘The Reluctant Messiah’. You can say Belle is ‘The Reluctant Muse’. I have decided to turn my first chapter ‘The Last Muse’ into a script for a movie. This will make a great comedy.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have taken Belle to dinner when we first met, and told her ‘The Plan’.

“The plan is……you do nothing! You say nothing! You tell no one – anything! All you got to do – is NOTHING! I will do it all. Your job is to just sit there and keep your mouth shut!”

“Sounds like you want me to be your model!”

The other mistake I made, was exchanging Bluebelle, my beautiful bicycle, for ten hours of modeling. I forgot to take a photo of it. When Belle came home to her lover riding Bluebelle, his great expectations – soared!

“Is he dying? How long does he have to live?”
“Oh shoot! I forgot to ask!”
“YOU FORGOT TO ASK!!!!”

The French people are going to love ‘The Reluctant Muse’. I asked Belle Burch if I could call her BB, after Bridget Bardot.

OME into the garden, Maud,
For the black bat, night, has flown,
Come into the garden, Maud,
I am here at the gate alone;
And the woodbine spices are wafted abroad, 5
And the musk of the rose is blown.

For a breeze of morning moves,
And the planet of Love is on high,
Beginning to faint in the light that she loves
On a bed of daffodil sky, 10
To faint in the light of the sun she loves,
To faint in his light, and to die.

All night have the roses heard
The flute, violin, bassoon;
All night has the casement jessamine stirr’d 15
To the dancers dancing in tune;
Till silence fell with the waking bird,
And a hush with the setting moon.

It’s Belle. Still wondering if you’re real. Thank you again for the bike. Let’s set up a time for me to do some modeling. Thurs and Fri are possibilities for me.

Hello Belle! I got my autistic friends over and we are watching Beauty and the Beast for Easter. Hollis and I referred to them as “our children”. They are my orphans, now.

The bath scene is my favorite, too. Reminds me of being on the road with a woman. You have to treat her extra nice. The star was/is a dancer. I love her energy.

I was moved by your poem, but could have been more moved if you employed more contrast to get more poetic drama. You are in a unique position. I want you to be a reporter for my paper. Did you read the Real Estate Show about radical artists taking over a vacant building in NYC? There is a invite for me to go to NYC. I would like to take you, on the train. Still in planning stage.

I see you on you Bluecycle on Easter, being happy. This makes me happy. I will write about my homelessness. When I was 17 I hitched to NY in January. I had stopped my drunken mother from beating on Christine,

I showed my friends the movie we made, and they loved it! They want to meet you.

Now to AMBROSE which is also AMBROSIUS. In Bohemian this name is spelled BRASKEWITZ, as I told you. Now I wanted a pen name as a writer JON AMBROSE. In PRESCO there is also a ROSE.

By the way, Why “John Ambrose”? Is that your middle name? Nom de plume? Highly synchronistic, as my current partner’s legal first name is Ambrose. I’m very curious about this.

Also, I thought you preferred to spell your name without the “h”?

Here’s the poem I said I’d send you.

Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal (25 July 1829 – 11 February 1862) was an English artists’ model, poet and artist. She was painted and drawn extensively by artists of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, including Walter Deverell, William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais (including his notable 1852 painting Ophelia) and her spouse, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. She featured prominently in Rossetti’s early paintings of women.

Every night, the Beast asks Belle to marry him, only to be refused each time. After each refusal, Belle dreams of a handsome prince who pleads with her to answer why she keeps refusing him, to which she replies that she cannot marry the Beast because she loves him only as a friend. Belle does not make the connection between the handsome prince and the Beast and becomes convinced that the Beast is holding the prince captive somewhere in the castle. She searches and discovers multiple enchanted rooms, but never the prince from her dreams.
