This morning I read the call of a rabbi to all Jews in the Diaspora to UNITE behind Netanyahu’s right-wing Zionist war with all Gazans, and not JUST Hamas. Then I read about a Jewish woman making a list of books that appear to be pro-Palestinian, and, Anti-Jewish. I will be using Anti-Jewish rather than Anti-Semitic, because of the difference between a CLOSED-EXCLUSIVE religion, and a OPEN-INCLUSIVE religion.
I declared myself a Nazarite in 1988, believing John the Baptist did OPEN the Jewish religion to Gentiles, while Jesus and Paul – EXCLUDED JEWS from their new Christian religion. I suspect Saul-Paul ‘The Pharisee of Pharisees’ hated John’s Inclusiveness, and hunted down and murdered John’s Nazarites – who persisted in the Diaspora, and threatened Rome and the Exclusive Jewish High Priests.
That said, my cousin, Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born in England, and later became a citizen of the UNITED States. After marrying Mike Todd, a Jew, Liz converted to Judaism. Eddie Fisher, descended from Russian Jews, is also in my rose family tree – as is Rose Joan Blondell, a Jew. Liz married Jack Warner, who was also knighted by the queen. If Warner’s mother was a Jew, than John would have been born a Jew – and be a natural member of God’s Covenant, which is for the most part a closed, Exclusive Club. Five Theological Errors
Russell Woodbridge and I wrote a book titled Health, Wealth, and Happiness: Has the Prosperity Gospel Overshadowed the Gospel of Christ? (Kregel, 2010) to examine the claims of prosperity gospel advocates. While the book is too wide-ranging to summarize here, in this article I’d like to review five doctrines we cover in it—doctrines on which prosperity gospel advocates err. By discerning these errors regarding key doctrines, I hope you will plainly see the dangers of the prosperity gospel.
1. The Abrahamic covenant is a means to material entitlement.
The Abrahamic covenant (Gen. 12, 15, 17, 22) is one of the theological bases of the prosperity gospel. It’s good that prosperity theologians recognize much of Scripture is the record of the fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant, but it’s bad that they don’t maintain an orthodox view of this covenant. They incorrectly view the inception of the covenant; more significantly, they erroneously view the application of the covenant.
In his book Spreading the Flame (Zondervan, 1992), Edward Pousson stated the prosperity view on the application of the Abrahamic covenant: “Christians are Abraham’s spiritual children and heirs to the blessings of faith. . . . This Abrahamic inheritance is unpacked primarily in terms of material entitlements.” In other words, the prosperity gospel teaches that the primary purpose of the Abrahamic covenant was for God to bless Abraham materially. Since believers are now Abraham’s spiritual children, we have inherited these financial blessings. As Kenneth Copeland wrote in his 1974 book The Laws of Prosperity, “Since God’s covenant has been established and prosperity is a provision of this covenant, you need to realize that prosperity belongs to you now!”
To support this claim, prosperity teachers appeal to Galatians 3:14, which refers to “the blessings of Abraham [that] come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus.” It’s interesting, however, that in their appeals to Galatians 3:14 these teachers ignore the second half of the verse: “that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Paul is clearly reminding the Galatians of the spiritual blessing of salvation, not the material blessing of wealth.

As the actual construction commenced, these differences became even more pronounced. The architects and craftsman were more intimately involved in the months-long process, while the common people looked on from the outside. Not possessing the requisite construction skills, most people couldn’t possibly contribute as significantly as the skilled artisans. Building the Mishkan was a joint project, but one that was experienced very differently by the various sectors of the population.
God had humbled the mighty Egyptian empire, quieted the riotous ocean, and delivered His word atop a blazing mountain. He could have easily constructed a celestial Mishkan in heaven but instead determined that His abode on Earth be fashioned by human handiwork. God always prefers a human element.
This national project of constructing a house for God attracted broad interest. Everyone joined the epic project, but not everyone experienced it in identical fashion.
The midrash claims that many Jews, envisioning this day well in advance, had gathered goods and materials in anticipation of a possible construction project. Hundreds of years earlier, recognizing the inevitability of this project, Jacob had secured tall acacia-wood beams to one day serve as the skeleton of the Mishkan. Many people were prepared for this great calling.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) — South Africa’s government said Tuesday it had lodged an “urgent request” with the U.N.’s International Court of Justice to consider whether Israel’s military operations targeting the southern Gaza city of Rafah are a breach of provisional orders the court handed down last month in a case alleging genocide.
South Africa said it asked the court to weigh whether Israel’s strikes on Rafah, and its intention to launch a ground offensive on the city where 1.4 million Palestinians have sought shelter, breaches both the U.N. Genocide Convention and preliminary orders handed down by the court last month in a case accusing Israel of genocide.

After he gets back from a trip across the pond, the former senator from Virginia will be John Warner, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Warner is scheduled to be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, the Washington Post reports.
Warner is one of a handful of foreigners to receive this honor. Others include Rudy Giuliani, Steven Spielberg, and Bono. Alas, his status has its drawbacks: As an American, the 82-year old Warner cannot be called “sir.”
“I am particularly pleased that we honor him as he steps down from Senate service,” said British Ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald in a statement announcing Warner’s knighthood. “On behalf of the British Government, I pay tribute to his extraordinary commitment to American national security, to the NATO alliance and the special relationship between our two countries.”
Warner, who the Post reports is something of an anglophile, has family connections to the monarchy. An ancestor, Alexander Stuart, was clerk of the works during the construction of Balmoral Castle, a favorite summertime retreat for the royal family.
“My wife Jeanne, who was born in London, and I both share direct ancestral lineage to the United Kingdom, and we quietly reflect on how our parents would have such joy in their hearts with this recognition,” Warner said in a statement.

Senator Warner strengthened ties between the two countries in another important regard. In 1976, as head of the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, Warner helped persuade the British government to allow the display of the original Magna Carta in the Capitol Rotunda in celebration of the United States’ 200th anniversary.
Warner, a Republican, was in the Senate from 1979-2009. He supported the Iraq War but broke with his party over issues such as federal support for embryonic stem cell research and gun control.
In 2002, Warner won re-election to the Senate with 82 percent of the vote. In August 2007, he announced that he would not seek a sixth term.

Spain and Ireland on Wednesday asked the European Union to “urgently” examine whether Israel is complying with its human rights obligations in Gaza under an accord linking rights to trade ties.
The move reflects growing European frustration over the spiraling humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, for the first time evoking the prospect of economic sanctions, albeit obliquely.
In a letter, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and his Irish counterpart Leo Varadkar asked the European Commission to “act urgently,” with Israel poised to launch a full-scale ground operation into the southern city of Rafah where more than 1.4 million Palestinians are trapped.

Warner was a veteran of the Second World War and Korean War, and was one of five World War II veterans serving in the Senate at the time of his retirement.[1] He did not seek reelection in 2008. After leaving the Senate, he worked for the law firm of Hogan Lovells, where he had previously been employed before joining the United States Department of Defense as the Under Secretary of the Navy during the presidency of Richard Nixon in 1969.

Taylor’s third marriage was to film producer and entrepreneur Mike Todd, who had been born Avrom Hirsch Goldbogen to Jewish immigrants from Poland. A newspaper account said they had planned to follow the civil vows with a Jewish ceremony but were unable to find a rabbi in the vicinity.
Thirteen months later, Todd was killed when his private plane crashed in bad weather in New Mexico in 1958. He and Taylor had one child, a girl.
It was apparently in the period following her husband’s death that Taylor decided to convert. Rabbi Nussbaum, a Bukovina (Romania)-born Holocaust survivor, had her attend services over the course of a year and assigned her a number of secondary sources about Judaism to read, including Milton Steinberg’s “What Is Judaism” and Abram Leon Sachar’s “History of the Jews.” She took the Hebrew name Elisheba Rachel.

Israel appears to be in breach of the orders issued a fortnight ago by the international court of justice requiring it to take immediate steps to protect Palestinians’ rights and cease all activities that could constitute genocide, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied territories, Francesca Albanese, has said.
The Israeli government was given until 23 February to report to the ICJ on what it has done to comply with six orders the court issued, including one relating to ending incitement to genocide and another requiring immediate steps to improve the supply of humanitarian aid.
Senior western officials say that despite hours of negotiations with Israeli officials there is at best a marginal and incremental improvement since the 26 January ruling. “Safe to say, it’s dire and getting worse,” one said.
Who exactly are the seed of Abraham?
The seed of Abraham can describe the physical descendants of Abraham (singular or plural) and the spiritual descendants of Abraham—but they are all linked together and one cannot be discussed fully without invoking the others.
Physically, Abraham produced two sons—Ishmael whose lineage includes most all Arabs, and Isaac whose lineage includes the ethnic and religious Hebrews (Israelites, Jews).
However, Paul writes that only a right relationship with God can define a descendant of Abraham, spiritually speaking. “For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God” (Romans 2:28–29).
Both John the Baptist and Jesus confronted Jewish leaders who relied upon a physical descendance from Abraham, but failed to grasp the faith relationship Abraham had with God. John called on them to repent: “Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham” (Matthew 3:8–9).
Jesus also tried to focus the Jews of His time on a relationship with God through more than a physical lineage with Abraham. In John 8:33–59, Jews sought to kill Jesus, repeatedly establishing their connection with Abraham and therefore with God. Jesus confronts them, telling them that the true descendants of Abraham would do as He did (live by faith in God rather than by rules). Jesus reveals that He knew Abraham, then claims His divinity by exclaiming that He existed before Abraham was born (John 8:58).
Spiritually, those who believe by faith in God’s Son Jesus exhibit an Abrahamic faith by which they are counted as righteous (Genesis 15:6, Hebrews 11:8–19). More directly, Galatians 3:29 says, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.” See also Romans 4:11–17.
These are the plural “seed” of Abraham. Singularly, the seed is Christ, as addressed in Galatians 3:16 (in reference to Genesis 12:7). “Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, ‘And to offsprings,’ referring to many, but referring to one, ‘And to your offspring,’ who is Christ.” Paul explains that Jesus is the inheritance apart from the law that Abraham is promised. He concludes the chapter by once again delineating the difference between a physical and spiritual descendant of Abraham: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:28–29).
And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Elizabeth Taylor In Bond’s London

Two days ago, I discovered my kindred, Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, made an album with John Barry who composed a James Bond theme. Liz is on the cover and recites a poem by Woodsworth. She also recites Pitt’s famous defense of America, and, the forming of a lasting bond. This renders Liz my ultimate muse. I dismiss the others for lack of enthusiasm. Liz created a Artistic Dynasty via Marriage Certificates. The art collector, Paul Melon, is in the Rosamond Family Tree, due to Liz’s marriage to John Warner. Her son, Christopher Wilding, married Aileen Getty, and thus is kin to Ian Fleming, who wanted Richard Burton to play Bond in the first movie.
This post is under construction. I have to sort out these videos. The first two introduced a powerful woman in the word Ian Fleming created. Music is very key to setting the mood and theme. The maker of the new Bond movie spent millions – struggling!

Christine and Elizabeth can trace their roots to the Ozark Mountains in Missouri where my grandfather, Frank Wesley Rosamond lived, and where he wrote several novels, short stories, and poems that appeared in Otto Rayburn’s magazine ‘Arcadian Life’. Royal Reuben Rosamond (Frank’s pen name) founded his own publishing company, Gem Publishing. In 1997 I founded Royal Rosamond Press Co. that is listed in Lane County Oregon as a publishing company. I am the President of my own newspaper.

Elizabeth Taylor’s father owned several galleries. Elizabeth Mary Rosemond Taylor’s sister, Mabel Rosemond, married Howard Young, a art dealer who purchased European Art for American Oil Tycoons he often played poker with.
Mrs. E. M. Taylor’s sister (Mabel Rosemond) had married Howard Young, a famous artist who had galleries in St. Louis, then New York, and London.
The war was devastating Europe in 1939 and found Francis and Sara Southern Taylor, both American nationals, running an art gallery in England for Francis’ multimillionaire uncle, Howard Young, a well-known dealer with an important gallery in New York. To avoid the growing conflict, Francis Taylor sent his wife and two children home to America while he remained behind to close out his uncle’s business. They visited briefly in Arkansas City before going to Pacific Palisades, near Hollywood where the Warmbrodt family was then living. In a few weeks Howard joined his family and opened his own art gallery in Los Angeles.”
Christine Rosamond Presco was discovered and promoted by Ira Cohen, of Ira Roberts Art Gallery on Lacienaga in Los Angeles. Christine married Garth Benton, the cousin of the famous artist, Thomas Hart Benton, and in 1986 she became partners with Lawrence Chazen in the Crossroads Arty Gallery in Carmel. This was the first Rosamond gallery. Chazen was a financial advisor of J.Paul Getty, and was a partner in the Plump/Jack resturant chain, along with the Nancy Pelosi family, and ex-mayor of San Francsico, Gavin Newsom. The Getty family amassed one of the largest art collections in the world. The Getty Museum overlooks the City of Angels. Garth Benton and my niece, Shannon Benton Sidel rendered the beautiful murals found in the Getty Villa. Chazen is a CEO of Noble Oil who will restart the drilling for black gold in the Gulf.
Mary Morton Rosemond of Iowa

When I read the following this morning, the book, and movie ‘Gone With The Wind’ came to mind.
“The couple had nine children; eight girls and but one son — Martin — who served with Lucas County boys in Company C of the 13th Iowa Infantry and died in service in 1862. When James Roseman died in 1887, there was nobody by the name of Roseman left in the county.”
Thanks to my kin, Charles M. Wright, I was able to find the Western branch of the Rosemond-Rosemond-Rosemond family that descends from James Roseman, Phillip Rosemond, and Moses Morton Rosemond. Add to this branch my grandfather Frank W. Rosamond, and his four daughters, June, Bertha, Rosemary, and Lillian, and the Western Rosamond family, is complete.
I have chosen Mary Morton Rosemond t ground all the Rosy families, because she is a trained Librarian and State Archivist. If she were alive, she would be doing what I and Jimmy Rosamond have been doing for many years. The Rosemond family is mentioned in several history books, none more tragic then the Record of Iowa Soldiers. Why did they let Martin join The War of the Rebellions? He was surrounded by eight beautiful sisters who loved him dearly. He got wound, and was discharged. He came home and died shortly of his wound. What a heartbreak to say goodbye. He was handsome, and, perhaps too effeminate? Did he, and others believe he would come home……….a man. A Rose Man?
There are some profound parallels between the history of The Gone With The Wind, and the Roseman family who were pioneers. They Came from Ireland, and went West. Their name is gone, but their DNA is all over Iowa, including the bloodline to the Wieneke of Iowa. Frank Weseley Rosamond married Mary Magdalene Wieneke, and thus another Mary M. Rosamond. What is in a name? Did Mary Rosemond ever dream one of her kin would become one of the most famous Movie Stars of all time? Then there is my sister’s famous works of art, she know all over the world for her images of beautiful women. Christine Rosamond Benton used her middle name to sign her work, thus giving this name new life. I suspect Mary Morton gathered all her Roses around her, and this monument, with, just the name.

Texas’s Ken Paxton and 10 other GOP state attorneys general came to the defense of former president Donald Trump on Tuesday in his legal fight over documents the FBI seized last month, filing an amicus brief in a federal appellate court that argued the Biden administration could not be trusted.

In a 21-page document that repeated numerous right-wing talking points but that experts said broke little new legal ground, the officials accused the Biden administration of “ransacking” Mar-a-Lago, the Florida home of the former president, during an Aug. 8 court-authorized FBI raid and of politicizing the Justice Department.
Former President Trump’s legal team on Tuesday said the raid of Mar-a-Lago and the investigation into the mishandling of classified documents is “unprecedented” and “at its core is a document storage dispute that has spiraled out of control.”

If Vladimir Putin wanted to invade a former Soviet-bloc country and get the blessings of American Christians, he might have done better than choosing Ukraine.
Among all the countries that once made up the USSR, Ukraine today stands out as among the most religiously diverse and has the largest presence of evangelical Christians, including Baptists.
Thus, while a few far-right American politicians and a few far-right evangelical leaders have sided with Putin in his unprovoked bloodbath in Ukraine, the vast majority of American Christians — including evangelicals — have thrown their support behind the people of Ukraine and not Putin.

That, in turn, has created a unique breaking point between white evangelicals in America and former U.S. President Donald Trump, who before this war appeared inseparable. Trump continues to praise Putin, as does a small segment of white evangelicals.
While American evangelicals previously found alignment with Russia on opposition to abortion and homosexuality, most appear unwilling to sacrifice the kind of religious freedom and Christian witness they have seen in Ukraine.
In fact, a surprising number of Americans have visited Ukraine, often on church-sponsored mission trips.

Denis de Rougemont was titled ‘The Prince of European Culture’. He was at the first Bilderberg meeting, and is considered a co-founder of the European Union. Frederich the Great granted the Rougemonts of Neufchatel a title of old nobility.

FRANKFURT—Britain won’t officially leave the European Union for at least two years, but European tourism officials already fear a British exit this summer.
The reason: A fall of roughly 6.6% in the value of the British pound against the euro Friday, after Britons voted to leave the EU. Currency traders, who were surprised by the referendum’s outcome, dumped sterling on fear of looming U.K. economic troubles.
International Consolidated Airlines SA, the parent company ofBritish Airways and Spain’s Iberia, quickly issued a profit warning, blaming market volatility. A big question businesses face now is whether the pound will remain depressed, upending economic relations between Britain and its trading partners. At the front lines of those relations are international tourists paying for hotels, meals and taxis in foreign currencies. EU destinations accounted for more than two thirds of British foreign travel, according to Euromonitor International. Spain, France, Italy and Germany are among the most visited countries.

Biography
Denis de Rougemont was born on on September 8th, 1906 in Couvet in the Canton from Neuchâtel in Switzerland. His/her father is Pasteur. He continues studies of letters at the University of Neuchâtel between 1925 and 1930. In parallel, it starts its first voyages and remains in particular in Vienna, in Hungary and Souabe.
In 1930, it settles in Paris and becomes, within the Esprit movements and the Order New one of the founders of Personalism, at the sides of Emmanuel Mounier, Arnaud Dandieu, Robert Aron, Henri Daniel-Rops and Alexandre Marc. They were called “the nonconformists of the Thirties”. Rejecting as well Hitler as Stalin, just as nationalism and individualism, they preach the idea of an political organization, economic and social which is with the service of the Person designed like a unit at the same time distinct (the individual) and connected to the Community (the citizen), at the same time free (as an individual) and person in charge (as a citizen).
The Federalism appears the model to them which makes it possible best to link the People without giving up their diversity, and this is why they preach it. On the other hand, they reject the State-Nation centralized like mode of organization of the company.
During the years 1930, Denis de Rougemont develops the topics of Personalism through two works: Policy of the Person (1934), To think with the Hands (1936). In 1935-1936, it remains in Germany like French reader at the University of Francfort-sur-le-Main and brings back from there a very negative testimony on the Nazism, which it delivers in his Newspaper of Germany (1938). In 1939 appears the Love and the Occident which shows the influence D `a certain number of accounts mythical (of which Tristan and Iseult) on the typically Western design of an impassioned love and finally destructor, that the author opposes to the true charity.
In 1940, it is mobilized in the Swiss army and, with other personalities, it founds the League of Gothard which aims at stimulating the spirit of resistance to Hitler. Its positions being considered to be not very compatible with Swiss neutrality, it is sent on mission of conferences to the United States. Installed in New York, it publishes the share of the devil into 1942 who is a reflection on the disorders of the modern world, limed in totalitarianism and the materialism. It binds with many writers or European artists in exile (Saint-Exupéry, André Breton, Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Saint-John Perse, Wystan Auden). After Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it shows, in its Letters on the atomic bomb (1946), that the nuclear weapon places the men in front of a world danger which must encourage them to exceed the idea of national sovereignty.
Returned definitively to Europe in 1947, it takes part, at the sides of the federalists, the efforts to link Europe. On August 26th, 1947, he makes the inaugural speech of the first Congress of the European Union of the Federalists (the federalistic attitude). At the time of the Congress of $the Hague (7 May 10th, 1948), he is at the same time rapporteur of the cultural Commission and writer of the Final declaration (Message to Europeans). During this Congress, the cultural Commission proposes the creation of a Center European of the Culture, tries whose seizes itself Denis de Rougemont who to this end organizes the first European Conference of the Culture (Lausanne, 8 December 12th, 1949). The Center European of the Culture is finally made up in Geneva in 1950 and placed under the direction of Denis de Rougemont.
At the same time, it is mobilized with other intellectuals against Stalinist propaganda conveying the idea of a culture to the service of the class struggle, within the Congress for the Freedom of the Culture of which he becomes President in 1952 (he will occupy this function until 1966).
In charge of the Center European of the Culture, Denis de Rougemont provided the foundations, in December 1950, of an organization gathering the European scientists working on nuclear energy: it will be the CERN. He was at the origin of the first association joining together the very first Institutes of European Studies, which was drawn up in Geneva in 1951 (it existed until 1991), as well as European Association of the Festivals of Music. In the sides of Robert Schuman, it took part in the creation of the European Foundation of the Culture (Geneva, December 16th, 1954) which was transported to Amsterdam in 1957 when it always continues its activities.
He undertakes a deliberation on the cultural features which characterize the Occident compared to other civilizations. It is the topic of its work the Western Adventure of the Man (1957) and the think tank on the “dialog of the cultures” (formulates begun again later by UNESCO) which it organizes as from 1961. This same year, it publishes a work on the history of the European idea entitled Twenty-eight centuries of Europe. In 1963, it founds in Geneva the Institute of European Studies which will be incorporated in the University in 1992.
From the years 1960, its activity will concentrate on two topics: the rise of the areas and the transborder areas which carries out it towards the idea of a federalism being combined to the ideal of “Europe of the Areas”; destruction of the environment which leads it to call in question the finalities of our companies. He sees in the emergence of areas to human size at the same time an alternative to the State-Nation and the chance to reintroduce in our companies the concept of responsibility so essential to safeguarding for the environment. Ecology and areas are in the center of its last two major works: Open letter with Europeans (1970), the Future is our business (1977).
One will also raise permanence of his reflection on the technical development and his consequences, since his work on the atomic bomb going back to 1946 until data processing (article “Information is not to know” in 1981), via civil nuclear energy (the CERN).
Denis de Rougemont dies in Geneva on on December 6th, 1985.
