The United Nations called upon Israel to declare a Humanitarian Ceasefire. Eli Cohen said this would be “a gift to Hamas”. The real gift to Hamas – and the right-wing war hawks of Israel – was Netanyahu ignoring Israeli Intelligence and putting human beings in harms way. I suspect there are Nova Survivors who do not want to BE USED as an excuse to BOMB CHILDREN – and get away with it! The location of the dance was changed at the last minute. From where? Did the locals express concern for these young people, they upset that their warnings Hamas was showing hostility – falling on deaf ears?

Harvard University’s embattled president Claudine Gay attended a university menorah lighting ceremony on Wednesday, as she continues to resist resounding calls to resign over campus antisemitism.
The daily lighting ceremony, which was organized by the Harvard Chabad organization, had approximately 100 students come out for the commemoration.

Much of Israel, in fact, themselves regretted their actions, as the narrator twice mentions (21:6, 15, two of the only three uses of this term in Judges). Israel’s leaders now need a way to replenish the tribe of Benjamin, but the six hundred surviving Benjamite men cannot reproduce without women. Israel has slaughtered all the Benjamite women, as well as taken an impulsive oath before God not to let Benjamites intermarry with them (21:1).
So—at a feast for the Lord (Judg 21:19)—the Israelites invited the two hundred Benjamites who were still single to capture two hundred single young women from Shiloh. The Hebrew text of 21:20 suggests that they “ambushed” them, the same terminology used for the recent attack against the Benjamites (20:29, 33, 36-38). (An attentive reader of Judges in Hebrew might recall that, in this book, apart from that recent attack only the wicked “ambush” or “lie in wait”; Judg 9:25, 32, 34, 43; 16:2, 9, 12.)
Although the strategy of ambush made sense against the opposing army, here it is carried out against unarmed, young teenage girls; the law prohibited ambushing or lying in wait (the same Hebrew term) for a neighbor to harm them (Deut 19:11). Each one “catches” a wife for himself (Judg 21:21), a Hebrew term elsewhere applied to violence (Ps 10:9). The other Israelites explain to the girls’ fathers in Shiloh that since they did not give their daughters in marriage to the Benjamites, they have not violated Israel’s oath. How much would this consolation have reduced the horror for the families now rent apart?
The Israelite actions began as a quest for justice, a call for vengeance on behalf of an unnamed women who was mercilessly gang-raped to death. Yet the quest ended up as the slaughter of men, women and boys, along with the seizure of preadolescent girls and unmarried teenage women.

John Wilson and Judgement Day

Today is John Wilson’s Day. He is a great grandfather of mine. He was the head of the First Church of Boston, and a Puritan leader of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. He judged two women. One was excommunicated, the other, hanged.
The question I put forth, is, was the Spirit of Jesus at these trials? Was his spirit, invoked? This is the late 1600s. Jesus has not yet bid The Boston Patriots to rebel against the Church of England, and Their King, which the ministers of The King’s Church – ruled an Act of Treason!
Did Jesus found our Democracy in 1776? Most of the evangelicals who lay hands of the President of the United States, claim God-Jesus did just that. Why then didn’t King Jesus bid our Founding Fathers to give women The Right To Vote? It appears women had a voice in the first churches established in The Colonies – by my kindred. Does this give me a Divine Parotitic Voice? Or, do I have to subscribe to The Rapture? Are these questions ones that Brett Kavanaugh should be considering, verses what other woman is going to step out of the dark and accuse him of getting a teenage child drunk and raping her with the help of his best friend – who will not be testifying today!

Ed Ray Speaks To You – His Chosen Ones!

Here is one of the strangest historic documents you will ever read. What I am looking at is a movie comedy ‘Zardoz At Animal House’. It starts out with a black couple sitting outside the EMU at the UofO. They are googling together. Benton Hall comes to their attention. They send Ed Ray a message. Ed, chokes on his…………when he realizes he has not shored up his White Power Rule over the Oregon State Vortex. The radical Blacks and Indians are at the gate. They have found Ed’s Achilles Heal. Ed needs to throw them a bone.
Up in Benton Tower are the crossed femer bones of Senator Thomas Hart Benton. He takes one, and throws it down to group of Blacks and Native Americans who are demanding the titles to land owned by OSU. They want real land, and not more bullshit. The land they want is much bigger than ‘Peoples Park’. (play opening of 2001)
Ed assembles a crack team of historians who he calls ‘My Puppies’. After creating a protective shield around the campus, they build this display. It is a device of some kind. There is a hologram of Benton ranting away about Manifest Destiny. There is a hole in Ed’s contraption with these words above it.
“If you are from the South, and you love Robert E. Lee, stick your erect penis in here!”
Ed shows this to the Chiefs and the Black and Orange Panthers.

Enter, Brutalus, a notorious Class Clown in High School, anxious to strut his stuff at the OSU. He spots Ed’s Pillory. Looking to the right, and them the left, he obeys the instructions. Raising his arms in victory, Brutalus shouts;

In slow motion the student body, shouts;

I know Kathy Wilson. I will run this by her. Is that cotton growing outside Benton Hall? I have found evidence Confederate Freemasons from the South were making a big move into Oregon, with the help of Joseph Lane who might be behind the KKK of Oregon. Ed and his Puppies know about this history, and, are keen on keeping it a secret. The Masons lay the cornerstone of Benton Hall. I suspect it is hallow and in side, is ‘The Master Plan’. Is Ed a Freemason?
After saying he would leave it up to the people of Benton County to come up with a replacement name for Benton Hall, all of a sudden, Ed Ray changes his mind! Overnight he is Lord Overseer of the Shire, and comes up with the name ‘Community Hall’. Why do I suspect Ed was looking at the Hobbits? In my movie, he will be a Lord of the Rings freak who dresses like Gandalf in roll-playing. Just put a beard on Ed, and long hair. Walah!
Mother nature designed puppies to be people pleasers. Their cuteness tells the older vicious wolves they are not a threat. Puppy Hobbits!

Oregon State University community members,
I am writing to share my decision regarding new names for three buildings on OSU’s Corvallis campus. These buildings are Avery Lodge, Benton Hall and Benton Annex.
Over the past two years, following scholarly research on the history of these buildings and their namesakes, hundreds of students and OSU employees, as well as community stakeholders and alumni participated in numerous meetings about these buildings and their names. Hundreds more people contributed their thoughts by e-mail, in phone calls, letters, and through a website comment form. Following my decision last fall to change the names of these buildings, the OSU community along with stakeholder committees helped to consider new names for these buildings. (A description of this process, renaming criteria, and the naming policy of the university, along with the research on these buildings and their namesakes, are available on the OSU Building and Place Name website.)
This extensive and thoughtful review was very appropriate.
The names of buildings and places play a very important role in our university. They speak to the history of OSU, the university’s values and mission, and our efforts to create an inclusive community for all. Names also recognize and honor the positive contributions of those associated with the university.
Based upon input gathered, as well as recommendations of the university Architectural Naming Committee, I have decided to provide:
Avery Lodge with a name that honors the contributions and history of Native Americans within the nearby Willamette Valley and recognizes that federal lands deeded to the state of Oregon to create this university were taken from tribes that have lived in this region for many generations;
A new name for Benton Hall that recognizes the contributions made by Benton County community residents to create the college in the 1860’s and 70’s that eventually became Oregon State; and
Benton Annex with a name that appropriately recognizes the building as home to the Women’s Center.
GOING FORWARD:
With the assistance of Siletz tribal leaders and Native American linguists and historians, I have decided that Avery Lodge will be called Champinefu Lodge. In the dialect of the Kalapuya tribe, which inhabited this region, the word Champinefu is translated to mean “At the place of the blue elderberry.” Blue elderberries are specific to the Willamette Valley and the areas around our campus are where Kalapuya tribal members historically would travel to harvest blue elderberries. Phonetically, this name is pronounced: CHOM-pin-A-foo.
Benton Hall will be renamed Community Hall to reflect the contributions of local residents in establishing this university, and helping it reach its 150th anniversary and excel as Oregon’s statewide university.
And Benton Annex will be named the Hattie Redmond Women and Gender Center. Hattie Redmond was a leader in the struggle for women’s suffrage in Oregon in the early 20th century. The right to vote was especially important to Hattie, who was a black woman living in a state that had black exclusion laws in its constitution. Her work is credited with laying the groundwork for the civil rights movement in Oregon in the mid-twentieth century.
These renamings occur as we celebrate OSU150: Oregon State’s 150th anniversary as Oregon’s statewide university. OSU150 runs through October and has offered a rare opportunity to celebrate the university’s past and present, reconcile past problems, and improve for our future. As I have said before, we must acknowledge our past, avoid hypocrisy and recognize the history of those who established this extraordinary university.
Beginning this academic year, we will develop public educational materials that will share the histories of these three buildings and their previous namesakes. These public displays will be within each of these buildings. As well, we will provide similar information within Gill Coliseum and Arnold Dining Center – two buildings whose names last fall I announced would not change. In the years ahead, OSU will document and display the history of all university buildings within each respective building, on the university website and within a mobile app.
I thank everyone who has participated in this important process. Moreover, I thank those who will continue to be engaged as we document the histories of other buildings. Through these many efforts, including OSU150 and the university’s update of its strategic plan, we will remain mindful of the university’s history, as well as its values and mission of inclusive service to our community and all Oregonians.

The first time I lay eyes on Ken Kesey, he was standing at the gate to Autzen Stadium (surrounded by his cronies) where the Oregon Ducks play. This is what my mind said;

At the dedication of the Kesey mural I asked Chuck Kesey why a trophy was at the top of the bookshelf, that I later learned was Babb’s bookcase. Here’s his answer:

King Kesey Lost Merlin

In 1999 I read that Ken Kesey was going to England in search of Merlin. I called my friend, Nancy Hamren, and asked her to talk her friend out of this debacle. I had met Ken on several occasions, and had been on ‘The Bus’ in the Eugene Celebration Parade. At the time I was studying King Arthur and the Holy Grail and chatting on yahoogroups that Dan Brown lurked in.
“There are a lot of people who take this serious, and will not be happy with Ken’s hit or miss tactics. If he wants to find Merlin, look no further, here I am, in his own backyard!”
That was the last time I spoke to Nancy, the first girl I ever kiss, because she was tops in King Kesey’s Court, and everything was set in stone, and, only Ken can withdraw Excalibur. Real hippies did not want leaders, or to collect our magical energy in a big beautiful pile, put it in a bag and hand it over to some clown.
The Cornish folks hated Ken’s act. The Hambley family is from Cornwall and are still mining tin. Above is the Hambley mansion in North Carolina where Viriginia’s great grandfather lived. Melqart is a candidate for Merlin in my book.
In 1966, Nancy and I lived in a SF commune called ‘The Idle Hands’ with the Zorthian sisters. Their father ‘The Last of the Bohemians’ was an artist that was influenced by Thomas Hart Benton. I have been to ‘The Ranch’.

In 1964 Ken Kesey and a bunch of friends, who later became known as the Merry Pranksters, set off in an old school bus, painted in psychedelic colours, to cross America. The bus trips spawned the Acid tests, the Acid tests spawned the Grateful Dead and so the Sixties as we know them were shaped.
Thirty five years later as the 20th Century draws to a close Kesey once again took the bus furthur (although this was a replcement – the original would be 60 years old and is sitting rotting on Keseys farm) on the road. This time the Pranksters set sail for England to view the total eclipse and to search for Merlin who Kesey believed would return before the Millennium.

Our first sighting of Kesey and the Pranksters was at the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, Cornwall the day before the eclipse. We drove for nearly 2 hours from our campsite near Helston to cover the 20 miles or so to Porthcurno. As we got closer the lane narrowed and narrowed and it was hard to see how they could have got Furthur up the hill to the theatre. Once we got past the traffic queue waiting for the beach carpark we climbed the hill and just as we got to the summit we spotted the bus.

A day or two days before they reached the Minack site, the Pranksters visited Stonehenge. Merlin would, wouldn’t he? Kesey, according to some stories, was disappointed by the ancient druid site. Perhaps he could still feel the vibes from the Battle of Beanfield twelve years before when, on Margaret Thatcher’s orders, hundreds of cops had brutally attacked the rainbow travellers assembling there for the summer solstice. Maybe the kingdom had picked up its bags and gone somewhere else after that. Things had changed for Kesey too. The last time he was here, his companions included Jerry Garcia and the Hell’s Angels. Things happened after dark, he intimated, that wouldn’t be going on in broad daylight with cameras and spectators surrounding them.

The top of the show saw Kesey read his account of coming to London and hanging out at the Apple Building with the Beatles. He was wearing a fisherman’s smock and held the stage in his hand. A deliberate reader with perfect cadence; an ancient American bard. Then there was their play: Where’s Merlin – a great ramshackling Arthurian affair with Pranksters n japes n mistakes n fun and which culminated in a jalopy jam of Dead tunes.
We hung out outside after the show. Kesey and Babbs came and sat on the back of the bus and shook everyone’s hands and exchanged smiles. No doubt I had my legend filters in but Kesey had a golden hue, something other, and serene, about him. At one point a girl, maybe sixteen and beautiful, made her way through the crowd and beheld Ken, and Ken beheld the girl and they hugged like you’ve never seen. Everyone watched, quiet. Bong!
Keseys eclipse show was universally panned by the critics…but then who cares what “The Cornishman” thinks.
The play started with Mordreds head being placed on the throne before Kesey introduced the characters from the Aurthurian legends such as Authur, Lancealot etc who were played by the Pranksters including Babbs, Mountain Girl and Anonymous. The play rambled on through technical difficulties until Mordreds head came to life. It’s re-incarnation being proceeded by the question “Who would want an Ugly Dead head?”
The play ended with the spirit of Merlin coming to life inside the “Thunder Machine”. This was a psychedelic machine with a hole in the centre in which there was a Grateful Dead like skeleton for which Kesey provided the voice.
The whole cast then broke into song with “Love Potion No.9” which then decended into a huge jam. I was getting really fustrated at the audience at this point because I felt we should be up and dancing but I also needed to piss! A chance came as Kesey struggled to get his theramin to work so I ran to the toilet.

When I went to Wayne Morse Square dressed as The Antichrist, I did so trying to get my courage back after being threatened by the Alleybellites and Kimites. In looking at the video I took, talking to a Three-Percenter, I wondered why he made no comment about me saying – I am The Antichrist. After the Storm The Dome Day, I realized there’s eight or ten guys (and a woman?) who claim to be the Antichrist – at every event! I thought I was original! My Light Sabre did get some attention.
In the God Gun Liberty video, it appears I might get in a fight with a young man wearing a MADA cap. He got punched in the nose when the T-Mob pushed people around to get to the podium and mic – that the Gay Pride Day folks refused to hand over. A Lesbian socked him in the nose – and drew blood.
It is now being reported Lawmakers helped the T-Mob in Oregon, and at the Dome, that looks like a scene out of Gone With The Wind. As I talk to an armed man, Belle’s old boyfriend (who changed his name to Marla) danced half-naked in the background. The Crazy are legion at Trump rallies. This is what he meant by “wild time”.
