Monica de Mornay Del La Croix watched the rise of her son in the Admiralty with amusement. But, now that the war was over, anyone who was somebody, took a keen interest in the art collection of Hitler’s top brass. The looted art was hands off, but, there was the art that belonged to the aristocracy, that was considered war booty.
