This morning I discovered the French title for the movie ‘The Flame of San Francisco’ is ‘La Belle de San Francisco’. How perfect! Tomorow I will post on two Bohemian Brothers born in San Francisco, Oscar and Hugo. Their father, Wensel Prescowitz, was born in Bohemian Austria. Oscar was ‘The Family Achiever’ and Hugo was ‘The Black Sheep Gambler’ of the Barbary Coast. Oscar’s son, Robert Presco, died in Eugene Oregon. His memorial was held at the Eugene Country Club where Robert was a member. He was a successful contractor and Freemason.
When I met with Belle Burch at the Wandering Goat, off the top she is asking about my name and lecturing me on how important genealogies are. She then asks me to tell her more about Bohemians. She says she wants to be a Radical Artist. After I caught her dealing a card off the bottom of the deck, she wanted out of our agreement. I refused to release her from our contract. The desire to be a Radical Bohemian Artist, does not end when you want it to end. It ain’t over till the Fat Lady sings.
When Belle employed Radical Artist and Wanna-be Bohemian, Alley Valkyrie, to put fear in me while attacking my newspaper – is High Bohemian Drama – and right out of the movie ‘La Belle de San Francisco’. There are tons of Bad Guys in this movie. Most of them don’t want to play fair, which is just what movie-goers want to see. I told Belle there are two movie scripts out there about my late sister, ‘La Belle de Rose of the World’. Life imitates art. The hero of this movie is a naive cowboy from Montana. My grandfather was a cowboy in Montana and wrote a cowboy tale he tried to sell to Hollywood, where I am going to try to sell Belle’s and my story. I will use Alley’s comment in our trailer.
“He frequents Eugene, especially the Whiteaker neighborhood, and regularly shows up at activist events. He is a stalker, a harasser, and an obsessed delusional sicko.”
Here is a letter from a “delusional sicko” G. Melies who made the whacked-out movie ‘Le Voyage Dan La Lun’ that could have inspired Kesey to for the Merry (Bohemian) Pranksters’ . George has bought my grandfather’s story ‘Finding of the Last Chance Mine’. I will use this image for the Crockett Bohemian Club.
It’s time for Belle to buck-up and be the Beautiful Bohemian Babe she deserves to be. To rebel against ‘The King of the Bohemians’ and betray him, is High Bohemianism, because True Bohemians can not go along with the program, anyone’s program, but their own.
My mother practiced the trades common in the Barbary Coast in order to support her four Bohemian Children. Rosemary worked for Big Bone’s Remmer in Emeryville who owned the Menlo Club located at 32 Turk Street in San Francsico. Alley Valkyrie’s description of me is atypical of most denizens of International Street, and Bohemian Journalist who founded the Bohemian Club.
“I cover the Barbary Coast!”
It is with great honor that I bestow upon Belle Burch, honorary membership in the ‘Crockett Bohemian Club’.
‘King of the Bohemians’
Naive Montana cowboy Duke Fergus (John Wayne) arrives in San Francisco and visits the notorious Barbary Coast. He becomes smitten with the lovely star attraction of the fanciest gambling hall, “Flaxen” Tarry (Ann Dvorak), the “Flame of the Barbary Coast”. He gets talked into gambling against the owner (and Flaxen’s lover), card shark Tito Morell (Joseph Schildkraut). Predictably, Fergus gets cheated and loses all his money.
He sets himself to win Flaxen’s affections and decides the best way to do it is to take over. He gets his friend Wolf Wylie (William Frawley) to teach him everything about gambling, including how to spot cheating. When he’s ready, he sells all he owns and returns to the city to challenge Morell’s rule of the Barbary Coast. He goes from casino to casino, challenging each one’s resident poker champion to a heads-up game, starting with Morell. Duke wins every time.
Fergus then builds an opulent new gambling establishment, catering to the upper class. To make it a success, he needs to persuade Flaxen to come work for him, but she is initially not interested. Only when Morell offends her does she decide to accept Fergus’s offer. And then the fireworks begin. Morell does not take the challenge lying down. In the midst of it all, the Great Earthquake of 1906 strikes, both Fergus’ and Morell’s businesses are destroyed, and Flaxon grievously injured. They rebuild and recover. Throw in a political battle, and someone gets the girl.

Flame of Barbary Coast is a 1945 American Western starring John Wayne, Ann Dvorak, Joseph Schildkraut, William Frawley, and Virginia Grey. The movie was scripted by Borden Chase and directed by Joseph Kane.
This man’s name is John Gregory Presco, DOB 10/8/1946. He lives in Springfield, Oregon.
He frequents Eugene, especially the Whiteaker neighborhood, and regularly shows up at activist events. He is a stalker, a harasser, and an obsessed delusional sicko. He targeted a friend of mine and has been writing about her obsessively, and when I confronted him about his behavior, he decided to target me as well.
If you need a concrete example of his behavior and why I am posting this, his delusional writings can be found at https://rosamondpress.wordpress.com
If you see him in your neighborhood, on the street, or anywhere, call him out. Expose him. Make it known that you will not accept and tolerate someone who harasses and obsesses over young women in our community. This man is a very sick individual. Anyone who deliberately makes women feel unsafe should not be tolerated in this or any community.
