Donald Trump destroyed works of art. He uses aliases to conceal his dirty deeds and make himself look good. His alter-ego grades women on a scale for his Master – himself. He plays music from the Phantom of the Opera when he enters a room as the ‘Prince of New York’. This is Caligula who tried to put a nude statue of himself in the Temple at Judea – after declaring himself a living god. Sarah von Redneck de Evangelical all but declared the Barron – the New Jesus! She wants to chop the National Endowment for the Arts.

The creator of the bas-reliefs that once adorned the Bonwit building is not given. Bonwit Teller launched the career of Andy Warhol. Did Barron von Trump get a tax right-off on this art? He could have had a professional photographer preserve these images.

But in 1942 Life Magazine reported that “lacings, according to Miss Frances Heller, corsetière at New York’s Bonwit Teller, are a fine thing. They enable a woman to bind herself firmly where bulges are biggest, and shape remains as laced.”

Trump Tower was constructed on the former site of the Bonwit Teller flagship store, an architecturally renowned building demolished by Trump in 1980.[5] Trump had originally intended for the Art Deco exterior limestone bas-relief sculptures of semi-nude goddesses, as well as the massive ornate 15′ by 25′ grille above the store’s entrance, to be removed and be donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. However, the sculptures ended up being destroyed, with Trump citing safety and general hazard concerns,[6] expense, and a possible 10-day construction delay due to the difficulty of removing them as the reasons.[5][7] The building’s decorative grille, supposedly transported to a New Jersey warehouse, was never recovered.[7] Architect Der Scutt was outraged by the destruction, having initially hoped to incorporate the goddess sculptures into the new building’s lobby design; Trump had rejected the plan, preferring something “more contemporary”.[7]

1980, focused on the then-33-year-old developer destroying a pair of Art Deco reliefs that were part of the facade of the Bonwit Teller Building in midtown Manhattan, which Trump tore down to build his Trump Tower. The Metropolitan Museum of Art wanted the reliefs for its collection, as theWashington Post recalled in a bit of retrospective reporting recently, and Trump agreed to donate them, if the cost of their removal wasn’t prohibitive. It wasn’t, but Trump’s construction crew destroyed the works anyway. Trump later told the New York Times that he was concerned for “the safety of people on the street below…If one of those stones had slipped, people could have been killed.” The Times also reported that no one involved with the construction of Trump Tower even bothered to ask the Met how the sculptures could have been removed safely.

In subsequent years, Trump has fashioned himself as a philistine par excellence. (Trump has been known to play selections from The Phantom of the Opera at his rallies; whether that alone proves my point depends on one’s taste.) He has been flirting with a presidential run since the late ’80s; as early as 1999, he made a public call for censorship and claimed that his hypothetical presidency would cut federal funding for the arts

At the very top of the facade were limestone relief panels of two nearly naked women brandishing large scarves, as if dancing. The architects were Whitney Warren and Charles Wetmore, super-traditional Beaux-Arts designers of mansions and clubs — a puzzling choice for a such an outré building. In time the reliefs would become a Bonwit Teller signature.

Writing in Arts Magazine in 1929, Henry-Russell Hitchcock, a modernist champion, praised the Stewart store’s “all but complete avoidance of ornament.” He didn’t care for the reliefs of the dancing women: “A most disturbing note” he wrote, declining to be specific because “the law of libel restrains me.”

The next year, in his architecture column in The New Yorker, George Chappell described the reliefs as “quite beautiful ladies wearing practically nothing,” noting that they were “a poor advertisement, one might think, for a shop devoted to women’s apparel.” He joked that Whitney Warren, whose firm had never before ventured such a thing, “is still trying to find out who designed the Stewart Building.”

Apparently the casket of gems didn’t attract enough customers, and in April 1930, Bonwit Teller took over the Stewart store. By this time Bonwit Teller was a formidable retailer, with stores in Southampton, Bar Harbor, Palm Beach and similar outposts.

Beginning that July, the architect Ely Jacques Kahn stripped the interior; the decorations detracted from the merchandise, Kahn said. The store reopened Sept. 15, 1930.

If Henry-Russell Hitchcock wanted plain, Kahn delivered, ripping away the opulent doorway and substituting his own corporate-style Art Deco.

Towards the end of the reign of Gaius Caligula, a proclamation was sent out for a statue of the Roman Emperor to be built within the Temple walls in Jerusalem. This command broke the Jewish law of idolatry and was therefore rejected and strongly opposed by Jews in Palestine, most notably the large peasant population.

To institute this proclamation newly appointed President of Syria Petronius was sent along with two legions of soldiers to complete the task. It is important to note that this was the first time in the history of Roman occupation that the religious autonomy of the Jewish people was defied. It was a direct challenge to their ethnic and religious identity motivated by clashes and religious disobedience by Jews in Alexandria. With this in mind, the emperor’s proclamation was to be put in place by any means necessary – an explanation for the Roman legions that accompanied his messenger Petronius and the strong action that was to be taken by Jewish peasants.

A time after Petronius’ arrival in the port city of Ptolemais he was met by tens of thousands of Jews who travelled from the countryside to petition him not to violate the laws of their forefathers. The resolve of the Jewish people was so strong that if Petronius was intent on erecting the statue of Caesar, they would willingly bare their necks and die rather than break their traditional laws. Noting the incredible dedication of the peasant crowds, Petronius elected to travel inland to Tiberias along the Sea of Galilee to survey the resolve and convictions of Jewish peasants there.

There he was met with an even larger contingent of Jewish peasants willing to give their lives for their faith. They also proved unwilling to coax into war with Rome. For forty days they stayed in Tiberias, risking death before Petronius to prevent the construction of the monument. In addition to the dramatic sit-in, Jewish peasants across Palestine chose to withdraw form society both economically and socially. Farmers completely abandoned planting fresh crops in spring creating both economic and social strain and a dilemma situation for Petronius. 

Narratives based on the writing of Jewish historian Josephus speak often of the struggle faced by Petronius in the opposition of the Jewish peasants. Influenced by Aristobulus (king Herod Agrippa’s brother), Helcias the Great (influential personage at the time), and others Petronius eventually wrote to Gaius Caligula of his inability to erect the statue and his willingness to face the consequences. This would have meant death for his incompetence. Gaius Caligula’s death early in the next year, along with the success of protests by Jewish peasants ended the threat of the emperor’s order, maintaining Jewish religious freedom in the short-term.

The Zionist Hawks have lied in order to get Americans to fight their enemies. Only four Jews lost their lives in both Iraqi wars.
