I am amused that a Sinclair researcher has winged his way to a pile of dry bones, and found meat there for the Clan. How like Jacob’s blessing of his son Benjamin is this pup who cliam descent from a great wolf.
Jimmy Rosamond is conducting a DNA study that I am uninvited to because Rosamond is my mother’s maiden name.
I have been accused of looking like the fellow in the Shroud of Turin. There is a history of the Long-faced Kings that are born to rule because of this feature. King Tut had a very long face. In comparison with my sinblings, I was a freak of nature. The Templars in this genealogy are kin to the House of Savoy. I believe the Shround covered a Templar Grand Master.
I will be talking to producer of the History Channel who called me over a year ago after looking at my material. Perhaps he would fund my DNA study of True Templars.
As Robert Sinclair so wisely pointed out, we have been trying to put a square peg in a round hole. This is to say, Ian Sinclair claims he is heir to the Templar Order, and for some incredible reason the bones of the innocent dead must be disturbed so Ian can hang another skeleton and red herring in his Gnostic closet.
Let is unearth a known Knight Templar, extract his DNA, then drag Ian out of his ivory tower so his blood can be extracted, but, never against his will! Who better qualified?
If you own any of the surnames below, then I bid you to participate in raising the True Holy Blood from the dead in order to seek the real Holy Grail.

Guillaume de Beaujeu, aka William of Beaujeu, was the 21st Grand Master of the Knights Templar, from 1273 until his death during the siege of Acre in 1291.
At one point during the siege, he dropped his sword and walked away from the walls. His knights remonstrated. Beaujeu replied: “Je ne m’enfuis pas; je suis mort. Voici le coup.” (“I’m not running away; I am dead. Here is the blow.”) He raised his arm to show the mortal wound he had received.

Joinville was a noble of Champagne, and hereditary Seneschal. He was close to King Louis, but his overlord was Count Theobald. One of Joinville’s ancestors fought on the Second, Third, Albigensian, Fourth and Fifth Crusade, so he had a lot to live up to. Joinville mentions the Templars several times in his ‘Life of St Louis’, generally admiringly- for example he extolls the courage of Reynald de Vichiers (the Marshal of the Order) on the way to Mansourah and of Guillaume de Sonnac (the Grand Master) who died there. However he implicitly blamed the Templars rather than the Count of Artois for the disastrous charge that meant the campaign began with the decimation of the Christian cavalry. (Matthew Paris has it the other way around, with the Templars trying to restrain the arrogant and over-confident count).
Later Joinville was involved with forcing money from the reluctant Templars and compelling them to contribute to the ransom demanded of King Louis, who had been captured by the Muslims. Joinville was in his mid twenties during this botched crusade and wrote his account much later, probably just before the suppression of the Order.

I’ve been following an interesting DNA study over the past several months and it has proven incredibly rewarding for our family DNA study. In Ergolding (Bavaria, Germany), an archaeological dig by the Bavarian State Department of Monuments and Sights revealed more than 440 graves. So far, DNA analysis of six of the men of early adult age was performed. These 6 men were buried together in a wooden chamber, a grave identified as #244. The individuals were marked as 244A to 244F.
There’s a lot of work going on with ancient DNA. I’ve already written about the dig at Ergolding Bavaria Germany and the unique testing method those guys did which allowed them to compare 6 sets of bones in a Merovingian burial site to everyone on the Family Tree DNA database, us included. We have 3 different Lineages in our project which are very close to those bones which were unearthed –

The Thuringians are first mentioned about 400 AD. But by 530, they had been subjected by the Franks and the Bavarians. Some took part in the Lombard invasion of 568. As for the Bavarians, there was no mention from any historical source until about 550. (Todd, p. 254) Archaeologists are not certain where they originated and two theories are proposed. (1) They migrated from Bohemia. (2) They are an amalgam of tribes in the Danube valley. They were under the protection of the Franks in the late 6th century and finally submitted to Charlemagne in the late 8th century.
The legend of Sergeant Rosemond says that he was a Huguenot, a French Protestant who followed the teachings of John Calvin. Most versions of the legend say he was born in France around 1650, but it is more accurate to say he was living in France at the time of the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in October 1685.
JOIN the Rosamond Y-DNA Project
The Rosamond DNA Project has been established at Family Tree DNA in order to determine if the various lines of individuals whose surname is a variation of Rosamond/Rosemond/Roseman are related, and if so how are they related. The particiapants must be male and bear some variation of the project surname. Women may participate by encouraging their male relatives to join. Decades of genealogical research has gone into attempts to connect these families but no tie has been found. DNA testing offers a simple, quick solution to resolve this issue. While a 12-marker test may be sufficient to determine the connections, I recommend the 25 or 37 marker test. I personally opted for the full 67 marker test. Regardless of which test you select, please click on the chart to the right and join today.
Disillusioned knight Antonius Block (Max von Sydow) and his squire Jöns (Gunnar Björnstrand) return after fighting in the Crusades and find Sweden being ravaged by the plague. On the beach immediately after their arrival, Block encounters Death (Bengt Ekerot), personified as a pale, black-cowled figure resembling a monk. Block, in the middle of a chess game he has been playing alone, challenges Death to a chess match, believing that he can forestall his demise as long as the game continues. Death agrees, and they start a new game.

Geoffroi de Charny (c. 1300? – d. 19 September 1356) was a French knight and author of at least three works on chivalry. Geoffroi was a knight in the service of King John II of France and a founding member of the Order of the Star, an order of chivalry founded on 6 November 1351 by John II of France in imitation of the Order of the Garter (1347) by Edward III of England. He was also the carrier of the Oriflamme, the standard of the crown of France, an immensely privileged, not to mention dangerous, honour, as it made the holder a key target of enemy forces on the battlefield. Geoffroi de Charny was perhaps Europe’s premiere knight during his lifetime, with a reputation for not only skill at arms but also piety and honour. In the atmosphere of the Hundred Years’ War – a climate poisonous to chivalry – he can be seen as the last of a dying breed in a period where the aristocratic baggage of armoured knights was being replaced by the harsh practicalities of professional soldiering. It was said that in his time he was known as a “true and perfect Knight”.[1]
Geoffroi de Charny and his wife Jeanne de Vergy are the first reliably recorded owners of the Turin Shroud.[2]

Louis (1364 – 11 December 1418) was the Lord of Piedmont and titular Prince of Achaea from 1402. He was a son of James of Piedmont and Marguerite de Beaujeu (1346–1402).
In 1405, he founded the University of Turin. On 24 January 1403, he married Bona (1388–1432), daughter of Amadeus VII, Count of Savoy, but they never had any children. When he died in 1418, the Piedmont-Achaea cadet branch of the House of Savoy died with him. His titles and estates were inherited by his brother-in-law Amadeus VIII, Count of Savoy, who would later become Duke of Savoy and Antipope
In 1453 Margaret de Charny deeded the Shroud to the House of Savoy. In 1578 the shroud was transferred in Turin.

Rougemont Links To Shroud & Fountain of Youth

Jean de Rougemont is the link between the Royal House of Windsor and Ponce de Leon. No scholar has been more vilified, even demonized, than I. In the end, all I did was a family genealogy, and ask;
“What is in a name?”

The oldest known member of this family is Humbert / Hubald de Rougemont, viscount of Besancon , quoted in a charter of 1090 [ 1 ] of the Archbishop of Besançon Hugues III of Burgundy with the title of “Count of Montbéliard”. Il n’est pas sur qu’il soit le père d’Étienne de Rougemont mais il est un parent de Thibaud I er de Rougemont. He is not sure that he is the father of Étienne de Rougemont but he is a relative of Thibaud I de Rougemont.
