A thousand people may lose their jobs because their Church-Hospital got behind the un-Samaritan, Duke of the Ballroom, Donald, who showed no empathy for a stricken man in the Oval Office. My cat showed empathy for our Statue of Saint Francis. Thanks to a judge, we elderly might get our Food Stamps today. The loos on The Hazard’s face, says he realized he get can get sued for a billion if someone dies on the floor of the new WH Ballroom.
Millions of Christians put the Hazardous Duke of Doom in the White House, so Jesus will step forth and take charge. What you see, is what you get. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. This is an egregious violation of….Separation of Church and State! PeaceHealth and Pacific Source – are the Phantom of the Opera!

PeaceHealth announced it is laying off 241 employees, citing financial and operational realities.
The layoffs impact approximately 2.5% of the company’s workforce. The majority of the positions affected are administrative roles. Vancouver’s Southwest Medical Center is among the facilities affected.
The Catholic nonprofit health system stated that the decision was difficult, but necessary to ensure long-term sustainability. The cuts came just weeks after Chief Executive Charles Prosper claimed federal cuts and changes to health care could impact PeaceHealth in numerous ways, according to Cascadia Daily News.
Earlier this year, PeaceHealth reduced its workforce by 1% and eliminated 18 leadership roles.
PeaceHealth is holding a “ritual of honoring, release and renewal” to “honor those who are leaving the organization,” according to Cascadia Daily News.
The health system employs over 16,000 people across the Pacific Northwest.

Hundreds of PeaceHealth nurses plan to picket for new contract
Its announcement comes days after the hospital’s service and technical workers voted to authorize a strike.
By Jason Upton April 16, 2025 4:54 pm

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Hundreds of unionized nurses in Bellingham plan to picket over negotiations for a new contract with PeaceHealth.
The Washington State Nurses Association says nurses will hold an informational picket outside PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center on April 29 unless an agreement can be reached before then.
It’s the latest development in stalled negotiations between the hospital and 1,100 nurses represented by the union.
Union representatives say health insurance and wages remain the biggest sticking points in contract talks, along with a “feeling of disrespect from management.”
PeaceHealth spokesperson Amy Drury said the following in a statement to My Bellingham Now:
“We understand how important our contract is to our caregivers, and we look forward to reengaging in constructive, good faith bargaining later this week to reach an agreement that is fair, competitive and sustainable for our medical center and our community. Our current offer for WSNA-represented caregivers would provide wage increases between 12% and 30%, over 3 years.
Note that picketing is neither a strike nor a refusal to work, and PeaceHealth respects the rights of our caregivers to conduct this activity. Our shared focus remains on providing safe, high-quality and compassionate care to the people in our communities.”
My Bellingham Now previously reported that union members voted to reject PeaceHealth’s latest contract offer last month. Their previous contract expired on March 31.
The union says both sides remain “far apart” on a new contract but are scheduled to meet in two more bargaining sessions on Thursday and Friday, April 17 and 18.
Its announcement comes days after the hospital’s service and technical workers voted to authorize a strike.

Dear Sentor Wyden
On June 23, 2025, my cat seemed to be paying homage to my statue of Saint Francis out on my balcony. She touched it with one paw, then, the other. I am going to send photographs of this to the Pope. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the Facebook video of this, along with the one of the White Rabbi across the street.
A week ago I discovered PeaceHeath-Sacred Heart has its roots in the Franciscan Order of Poor Clares, via the divine work of Sister Francis Clare. A college in Eugene was founded on another order this Sister belonged to. As a profound coincidence, BriarCliff College in Iowa, was founded by my relative, Sister Dominica Wieneke. The Wieneke helped the Franciscan Order that fled Germany to escape Bismarck’s Kulturekumph.
Yesterday, I sent a message to BriarCliff informing them of Sister Francis, and suggested there should be a Biblical contest, and sharing of common Biblical History, shared. I did not know Charlie Kirk was given a medal by the President. What was Charlie’s view on Healthcare? I am hearing some Republican leaders are saying Democrats are to blame for his death – because Jesus is not on their side? This is more destructive Culture War that has close our Democracy. And…..our hospitals are next?
Today, I am going to call Pacific Source who I have been with for over five years. I used to be with Trilliam, but, I was convinced to switch. Now I hear PS will help me SWITCH back. This brings me to the crux of the matter I put before you. I suspect Pacific Source and PeaceHealth have almost completed a Bait and Switch. They have turned a Christian-based Hospital into a Primarily For Profit Private Care Company. Were there any public hearings on this SWITCH? How about hearings on the large track of land a mile from me , where housing for nursing students will be built next to their new Funny Farm. How do my neighbors feel about this?
What I see is a secular health factory – that pretends it has Jesus and Saint Francis’ best interests at – HEART! But, after a secret deliberation, they decided they don’t need that heart, that cross, and that Holy Sprit represented by a dove with branch.
If I quit Pacific Source, then I am going to file a lawsuit where I own these SACRED IMAGES that I will plant in the large front lawn of Riverbend, and invite the 100,000 citizens of Lane County – who will lose their Medicaid – to come pitch a tent, and come to the Cross of Saint Francis for food and medicinal gifts – FROM GOD!
Senator….I want you to put forth a bill that will decide what party is the Party of Jesus and God, and ,what party is not. If the Republicans gleefully put that to a vote – then we got them! Then, they will have to put Jesus and Saint Francis – before all thing – which means burning that Ugly Bill, and admit they were doing the Greedy Will of the Purely For Profit People, who see MONEY as the only sacred object we should bow down to.
The great question of this day, is….How can a dumb animal recognize a SACRED OBJECT, and the holy hospital people who made trillions of dollars in Lane Count – did not? What made them – so blind? Where did they find permission to turn a blind eye to the people Jesus and Saint Francis – rushed to minister to!

Saint Francis. Classy. And the White Rabbit!
My cat Classy has been trying to tell me something for several days. For days she has been staring at me intently. I did a video of her in the chair this morning. When I got up, she went to to closed door and wanted to go outsider. When I let her out, I saw a big white rabbit on the lawn across the street. I went to get my camera, and it disappeared.
Then Classy reached up and touched Saint Francis – several times! I took two pics when she did it again. I am having trouble posting the two. Then she did it again and I turned on Facebook video, but she stopped. Then the white rabbit came from behind the truck! I captured it! Who would believe it, and the pics of Classy? What is she trying to say?
Note the position of her paws. It looks like she changes, legs. Are we looking at a miracle? Francis had a special relationship with animals. Would I have told my reader I saw a white rabbit – if I failed to get an image of it? People would think I am crazy.
Do I dare susgest Classy had adopted a higher power, the figurien of a man holking a lamb?

Wyden, Senate Democrats Introduce Legislation to Reverse Devastating Health Care Cuts in Trumpcare
After Republicans Passed the Largest Health Care Cut in History, and on the 60th Anniversary of Medicaid and Medicare, Democrats Propose Rolling Back Cuts and Extending Middle Class Tax Credits for Health Care
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore., led Senate Democrats in introducing new legislation that would repeal the devastating health care cuts that the Senate Republicans passed in the “Big, Ugly Betrayal” and permanently extend the ACA premium tax credits.
After Republicans passed legislation earlier this month that would kick nearly 15 million people off their health insurance and totals more than one trillion dollars in health care cuts, Senate Democrats are fighting back and pushing to reverse these devastating cuts and extend tax credits to make health care affordable.
Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., along with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Senator Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., Budget Committee Ranking Member Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and Senator Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M., led their Senate Democratic colleagues in introducing the Protecting Healthcare And Lowering Costs Act. This legislation would reverse all of the health care cuts in the “Big, Ugly Betrayal,” including those to Medicaid, and would permanently extend the ACA premium tax credits.
Today marks 60 years since Medicaid and Medicare were created on a bipartisan basis as a promise to the American people that we would stick by the poorest and most disadvantaged among us and take care of the elderly who paid into a system their whole lives. Democrats will be crisscrossing the country to make sure that the American people know it is congressional Republicans who are reneging on that promise, ripping away health care from millions so they can give tax cuts to billionaires.
“Trump and Republicans in Congress have been actively misleading the American public. Americans were never told that this flawed bill will punch a hole in a lot more than Medicaid,” Wyden said. “There is simply no way to cut more than $1 trillion from the health care system without taking a deep toll on Americans of all stripes from coast to coast. The more Americans hear about this bill, the less they like it. It’s time to scrap Trumpcare and put America back on a path to affordable health care.”
“For many, the “Big, Ugly Betrayal” is quite literally a matter of life and death. Too many will now have to make the heartbreaking decision between financial ruin and going without care. Already the effects of this bill are being felt. Already hospitals and healthcare systems are in jeopardy because of this legislation that passed just mere weeks ago,” Leader Schumer said. “Let’s be crystal clear: to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, millions of people are going to lose their healthcare. That’s the Republicans agenda right there. Well, not on our watch. Democrats are fighting this tooth and nail. And today we are proud to introduce legislation which would reverse these devastating cuts and permanently extend the ACA premium tax credits. It is not too late for the Republicans to reverse course and save healthcare for millions.”
“If the Affordable Care Act enhanced premium tax credits expire at the end of the year, 20 million Americans will see their health care costs skyrocket at a time when they’re already struggling with increased prices. That pain will be felt almost immediately,” Shaheen said. “That’s on top of the unprecedented health care cuts to Medicaid that were passed in the ‘Big Beautiful Betrayal’. We need to take action now to permanently extend those tax credits so that people know they can count on them.”
“Congressional Republicans betrayed hardworking families earlier this month when they chose to stand with billionaires by gutting Medicaid and kicking more than 15 million people off their health insurance,” Merkley said. “Republicans have the opportunity to right this wrong by supporting our bill that will reverse these devastating cuts and prevent health care costs from skyrocketing across the country. On this 60th Anniversary of the enactment of Medicaid and Medicare, Democrats are fighting for an economy where families thrive and billionaires finally pay their fair share.”
“Sixty years after Medicare and Medicaid opened the door to health care for millions, Congressional Republicans slammed it shut with their Budget Betrayal – ripping coverage from 15 million Americans, including over 100,000 New Mexicans,” Luján said. “Their cuts target children, families, and seniors who depend on Medicaid to survive, and could force rural clinics and hospitals to close their doors. While Republicans gut health care, Senate Democrats are fighting to restore it and protect the people we represent.”
The entire Democratic caucus has signed on to co-sponsor the legislation.
The legislation has been endorsed by American Civil Liberties Union, AFL-CIO. American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), AFT: Education, Healthcare, Public Services, All* Above All , Alliance for Retired Americans, American Association on Health and Disability, American Heart Association, American Nurses Association, Autistic Self Advocacy Network, ACLU, Can’t Wait Coalition, Care in Action, Caring Across Generations, Center for American Progress, Center for Medicare Advocacy, CEO Commission for Disability Employment, Children’s Hospital Association, Communication Workers of America, Community Catalyst, Disability Policy Consortium, Disability Rights and Defense Fund, Diverse Elders Coalition (DEC), FamiliesUSA, First Focus for Children, Guttmacher Institute, Health Care for America Now, Ibis Reproductive Health, Justice in Aging, Kids Can’t Wait, Lakeshore Foundation, Little Lobbysists, MoveOn.org, National Abortion Federation, National Alliance for Caregiving, National Alliance for Direct Service Professionals, National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, National Council of Jewish Women, National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (NCPSSM), National Disability Rights Network, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Hispanic Council on Aging, National Health Law Program (NHeLP), National Immigration Law Center, National Partnership for Women & Families, National Women’s Law Center, Physicians for Reproductive Health, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Protect Our Care, Public Citizens, SEIU, Social Security Works, The Arc of the United States, UNIDOS US, United Mine Workers of America, Vizient, Inc., Well Spouse Association, Healthcare Association of New York, and Texas Kids Can’t Wait.

Switch and bait, more commonly known as “bait and switch” advertising, is an illegal and deceptive practice where a seller advertises an attractive product or service to lure customers into their store or onto their platform, only to then substitute it with a different, less desirable, more expensive, or unavailable item, aiming to sell them something else entirely. The intent is to switch the customer to a product that is more profitable for the seller, often by denigrating the advertised item or using high-pressure sales tactics once the customer is committed.
The Sacred Heart is a Catholic devotion that symbolizes the physical heart of Jesus as a representation of his divine and human love for humanity. It represents Christ’s passion, his mercy, and his suffering for mankind’s salvation. Devotion to the Sacred Heart grew through visions to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century and involves acts of love, trust, and reparation, often expressed through prayers, consecration of homes, and receiving Communion on the first Friday of nine consecutive months.
I believe the health system is fundamentally flawed and unsustainable. It’s not about bad people; it’s about systemic flaws.
The platform for transformational change in healthcare has not been built. It’s more rhetoric than reality.
The legacy of Charlie Kirk in healthcare should be our willingness to host debates about its future and turn off the blame and shame game to which it’s addicted.
Which association or company will lead the charge? The National Collegiate Debate competition was spearheaded by Ford Motor Company dating back to 1947. It’s needed now more than ever.
Kirk often said he rooted his political beliefs in his Christian faith. “I’m an evangelical Christian,” Kirk told Christian Broadcasting Network host Billy Hallowell in 2019. “Jesus is the Saviour of the world and my personal Saviour…That really shapes my worldview, in every sense of it.”
“Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America,” Kirk said in a post on X.
He also referred to Jews as behind-the-scenes political orchestrators and a primary source of funding for leftwing groups. “Jewish donors have been the number one funding mechanism of radical open-border, neoliberal, quasi-Marxist policies, cultural institutions and non-profits,” Kirk said on an episode of his podcast in 2023.
On another episode of his podcast that year, Kirk said Jews control “not just the colleges; it’s the nonprofits, it’s the movies, it’s Hollywood, it’s all of it.”
