For two hour this morning I was looking at proof the Phoenicians engaged in Child Sacrifice, in Judea – and Carthage! I took a break for breakfast and turned on my television – only to hear three children were gunned down in a school by a woman in her teens carrying two assault rifles and a hand gun.

I was composing a sermon about the Binding-up of Isaac by Abraham, which suggests the Father of the Jews was considering adopting child sacrifice, or, practiced it. Some scholars believe Isaac was killed on a altar. Was it made by the ancestors of Hiram who helped build Solomon’s temple? Didn’t Solomon have foreign wives whose people practiced child sacrifice?

With the discovery of the clay statues of the pregnant goddess Tanit, alas I see what was behind the schism…
