Israel’s minister of Defense, quit, and the Reservists are not reporting for duty. Putin and his army, have lost. He is moving nuclear weapons into another counyty.in order to terrorize the West, and keep them from coming to the aid o Ukraine. The Pope is eating himself to death, and is grossly obese. He is devastated by his powerlessness – everywhere! Nothing is about God. Its’ all about politics and capturing Public opinion in order to get permission – TO DO WHAT? What do people who say they believe in God – WANT TO DO – REALLY WANT TO DO?

A man on a bus to downtown Eugene Oregon, tells another mand His is God, and that man was me. The other man said

“Don’t work so hard!”

What did he mean by that? Was he being facetious – even ironic – because God isn’t doing anything to stop the world madness. Why isn’t Pope Francis admonishing the most decrepit leaders the world has ever had – WHO HATE DEMOCRACY? They hate Democracy – in the name of religion – IN THE NAME OF GOD! Is this what – GOD WANTS? Why don’t you ask Him? Did anyone else announce they are are God – in the most need for there – to be a God? There must be – someone else? Maybe hat person was on TikTok?

White House urges compromise amid protests, judicial reform clash in Israel

Story by Francesca Chambers, USA TODAY • 14m ag

WASHINGTON —The Biden administration weighed in Sunday night on the unfolding chaos and the state of democracy in Israel, saying it was “deeply concerned” after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abruptly ousted an opponent of his controversial judicial reforms.

“We are deeply concerned by today’s developments out of Israel, which further underscore the urgent need for compromise,” National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said.  “Democratic values have always been, and must remain, a hallmark of the U.S.-Israel relationship.”

It follows a phone call between President Joe Biden and Netanyahu a week ago, in which the U.S. president stressed the importance of democracy.

“Democratic societies are strengthened by checks and balances, and fundamental changes to a democratic system should be pursued with the broadest possible base of popular support,” the White House said in its Sunday statement.

Earlier, Netanyahu fired his defense minister after the high-ranking official called for a pause on a controversial judicial reform proposal that has fueled months of intense protests in the country and abroad. In response, swarms of protesters took to the streets, starting bonfires on a Tel Aviv highway and knocking down a police barricade outside Netanyahu’s home.

In addition to the nighttime protests in Israel, a powerful trade union was expected to call for a general strike and universities were cancelling classes.

While the Israeli government was expected to move forward this week with its controversial plan, the U.S. on Sunday pressed or a quick de-escalation.

“We continue to strongly urge Israeli leaders to find a compromise as soon as possible,” the White House said. “We believe that is the best path forward for Israel and all of its citizens. U.S. support for Israel’s security and democracy remains ironclad.”

Flights grounded, labor union strike: backlash to Netanyahu’s Israel reforms intensify

Story by Holly Rosenkrantz, USA TODAY • 1h ago

Israeli labor unions launched a nationwide strike, malls and ports were closed and airlines were grounded, as opposition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to overhaul the judiciary threatened to impact the nation’s economy.

The chaos came after floods of protestors stormed the streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in response to Netanyahu’s abrupt ousting of his defense minister, who had opposed his controversial judicial reform plan. The plan, driven by the country’s new right-wing government, would weaken the role of the Israeli Supreme Court, and intense opposition has sparked what some analysts say is among the country’s worst crises ever.

It was unclear Monday if Netanyahu would respond to pressure to halt his plan. The Biden administration weighed in on Sunday, urging compromise as it said it was “deeply concerned” about democratic values in Israel.

Over the weekend, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a statement that Netanyahu’s judicial overhaul posed a security threat to Israel, which prompted his firing. Military reservists have refused to sign up for duty because of the plan.

Gallant had been the first senior member of Netanyahu’s political party to speak out against the plan. Still, many in the party were urging the prime minister to press ahead, despite the opposition.
