Why is this father carrying his children? Has he waded into the ocean? Where was his wife? Were they from the Midwest? Defying the power of the sea is best practiced – alone! If you got to prove what a big man you are, leave the wife and kids at home! That poor mother! Two pregnancies, giving birth, taking care of infants, and the father has something to prove. Then there is the cost of the rescue. Try taking the kids across the freeway and save the taxpayers the expense.
I lost my sister and almost lost my niece when she was eight. Do you think I would take my daughter and grandson to the ocean – and tempt fate. My daughter is going to have a daughter in four months. She doesn’t need tp be knocked down by 50,000 tons of water!
My daughter looks like both my sisters. She does not resemble her mother, or aunt, in the slightest! I am blessed by my miracle family.

An Oregon man was holding his two young children — a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl — when a ferocious wave crashed into them Saturday and swept them out to sea, police said.
The girl died, her brother was missing and their father was hospitalized and expected to survive, according to news reports.
It happened off the Oregon coast near Falcon Cove shortly before 1 p.m. Police responded to a 911 call from the children’s mother, Fox 12 Oregon reported.
