Admiral McCraven and the Ghost Fleet

Putin and Evangelical Leaders have launched psycholigical warfare against the United States, and our allies. We Americans have to stand behind NATO and the UN.

(CNN)A Russian warship “aggressively approached” a US Navy destroyer while it was operating in the North Arabian Sea Thursday, ignoring warnings from the US vessel and increasing the risk of a collision, the US Navy said Friday.

Video of the incident, which was obtained by CNN, shows the Russian warship rapidly approaching the USS Farragut, coming as close as 180 feet to the US ship before changing course, according to two defense officials.
The incident is the latest example of a close encounter between US and Russian military forces that American officials have described as unsafe or provocative.
It comes roughly seven months after another incident in the Pacific when US and Russian warships came so close the US ship had to perform an emergency maneuver to avoid a collision.
In the video taken from the American ship last year, Russian sailors can be seen appearing to sunbathe on the stern of their vessel.

As Delivered by Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, Washington D.C., Wednesday, April 16, 2008

I appreciate the kind introduction, Vice Admiral Style. And my thanks to the Royal College of Defence Studies for including me in the Washington segment of your program. Your visit offers an opportunity for our military to reaffirm the ties that bind us to our counterparts from the United Kingdom and other countries–and I know almost 50 countries represented this year–who have service members enrolled at the Royal College, a component of the United Kingdom’s National Defense Academy. And I hope that the visit has met your expectations so far.

Strategic and security studies of the kind you are engaged in are more important than ever as we try to address the threats of the post-Cold War era: terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, global organized crime, narcotics trafficking, failed and failing states, and more. The burgeoning relationship between the Royal College of Defence Studies and NDU we hope will produce many new ideas. We certainly need new ideas and need creative thinking if we are to meet the challenges of the present and the future–the world that you officers will inherit and lead.

Many of you serve in armed forces that have troops in the Afghan campaign, the Iraqi campaign, or both. Our British, Canadian, Australian, Danish, Dutch, and many other allies are doing a superb job in these operations. And of course in the British case we’ve seen a royal troop contribution Prince Harry’s service in Afghanistan which, though it was cut short by a press leak, certainly made a good impression on Americans.

After I posted my last post, I turned on CNN and heard about Admiral McRaven say Trumped is destroying our nation from within. Alas, Victoria Bond’s dream of the Ghost Fleet – has come true!

There is no doubt I am a prophet. How I do it needs to be studied. I am a untapped assets to my Country.

President Donald Trump needs to step up and provide America with the leadership it needs — or else someone better suited should take over as commander in chief, according to retired Adm. William McRaven.

McRaven, who oversaw the Navy SEAL raid that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden in 2011, said the rhetoric and acts he witnessed at a change of command ceremony at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, and an annual gala for the Office of Strategic Services Society reminded him “why our future may be…
