EXTRA! Five hours after I wrote this post, Hope Hicks, resigned. Her and Belle’s story is yet to be understood. Belle got involved in politics when she and other members of SLEEPS trespassed in the City Manager’s office. I wondered if she was going to be run as a candidate by her crew of homeless advocates. Mary Semple, who appears in their video, did win a seat on the Eugene City Council. She held the office of ‘The Slug Queen’, a moniker Trump might employ, eventually. Will another woman take Hope’s place? How about a Russian, known as ‘The Rouge Sparrow”?

The Fall of Belle and Hope (Beautiful Hope) bids me to forgive them both. These are daring, and beautiful women, who took a great chance. They did not fall back on Baby-making For Jesus. How women are rewarded in…
