Ian Fleming as Bray and Count Robin

The author, Ian Fleming, was influenced by Count Robin Ian Evelyn Milne Stuart de la Lanne-Mirrlees, who was replaced by a fictional character, Hilary Bray, who James Bond impersonated. Fleming has an artist create a fictitious coat of arms for the Bond lineage. This process shows Fleming’s interest in genealogy, that I contend did not end with the writing of more Bond novels, or, the making of a Bond movies. I contend that the current discussions about who should play Bond, must respect Fleming’s personal desires, which is to have a noble coat of arms be associated with him.
