One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying these things you insult us also.” 46 And he said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
There were no Christians when Jesus went about – TEACHING! He convinced people he was telling the truth, and had the right stuff. They then followed his TEACHING! They preferred his lessons over the lessons of the Pharisees who are aligned with lawyers.
Evangelical Politician do not TEACH! They drew a line down the middle of America and divided We The People, pitting us against each other with their DUMB & BLIND DUALITIES. God is One! God – was ‘The Truth’.
With eyes closed, Evangelical Leaders put their hands on THE LIAR who put his hand the Bible and took an oath to serve The People – and God? Now these Holy Ones stand back and let the best Lawyers in the land defend Our President – by any means possible! Are Christians willing to stand or fall with how cunning and conniving THEIR PREIDENT’S LAWYERS are? No! For most of its history, the Pope stood with this king, and then with that king who lost his head to usurpers. If We loose this democracy, there is no democracy waiting in the wings.
Our only hope is – God Himself is drawing a Just line in the sand – that is all inclusive. Our Democracy was supposed to be all inclusive, but that idea has always been corrupted, but never more so that in the last year. Wicked Evangelical Leaders highly suggest their flocks register as Republicans in order to make that party their base. At the first sign of trouble, the Vipers slink back into their church sanctuary and let The Lawyers do the their dirty work, for the sake a few, and not for the betterment of all.
Satan is called ‘The Father of Lies’. Trump is ‘The President of Lies. Those who follow him, and count themselves ‘Christians’ are utterly dicieved! Jesus forgave those who were deceived by the lawyers. He took them in and made them One with the Truth!

God Is Truth
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, You would have known my Father also. From now on you know him and have seen him” (John 14:6–7).
Today we come to the final attribute of God to be covered in our brief examination of His character. Jesus equates Himself with “the truth” in today’s passage and since Christ is Lord over all (John 1:1), we understand that truth is fundamental to the divine nature.
Scripture repeatedly teaches the sanctity of truth. This is done in a variety of ways. Satan is called a “liar” and the “father of lies” (8:44), showing us that the opposite of what is true is not holy. The psalmist describes truth as the sum of our Creator’s word (119:160), and he reminds us of how the Lord draws near only to those who call upon Him in truth. Jesus affirms the inviolability of lawful and factual oaths and vows by telling us it is better not to swear an oath at all if we have no intent to keep it (Matt. 5:33–37; see also Num. 30:2; James 5:12). Even our Father made a vow to Abraham when He wanted to confirm the truthfulness of His promise (Heb. 6:13–18; Gen. 15).
God’s swearing of an oath provides confirmation that truth is not only a proposition to be believed but also an action to be performed. To be sure, truth is propositional, and Scripture gives us many facts in statement form (for example, 2 Tim. 3:16–17). However, we falsely claim to know the truth if we do not live it out. Truth is also something that we do (1 John 3:18), and we are not faithful to the Lord if we are not concerned to walk in His true way (Ps. 86:11). This does not mean perfect obedience, but it does mean that we repent whenever we find ourselves living contrary to His standards (1 John 1:5–10).
As Christians we affirm the correspondence theory of truth. In other words, truth is that which conforms to reality. In the face of postmodern relativism, we must emphatically resist any suggestion that ultimate, objective truths do not exist. Though we may not accurately perceive or understand the real world at times, the same does not apply to the Almighty.
Therefore, truth is that which conforms to reality as it is perceived by God. He knows all things exhaustively, and so we can trust anything He reveals in Scripture. Truth is not defined by our own subjective standards; it is determined by the Source of truth Himself.
But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. 43 Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seat in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. 44 Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without knowing it.”
45 One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying these things you insult us also.” 46 And he said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. 47 Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed. 48 So you are witnesses and you consent to the deeds of your fathers, for they killed them, and you build their tombs. 49 Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ 50 so that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation. 52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”
WASHINGTON — Senate Democrats said on Friday that they would seek to ensure that continuing budget negotiations included legislation to protect Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel in the Russia investigation, from being fired by President Trump.
Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the top Democrat in the Senate, said an article in The New York Times detailing an effort by Mr. Trump to fire Mr. Mueller in June demonstrated the urgency for Congress to act.
“The most important thing Congress can do right now is to ensure that Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation continues uninterrupted and unimpeded,” Mr. Schumer said. “No one — whether it be administration officials, Republicans or the president himself — should get in the way and undermine the investigation.”
The move by the Democratic leadership escalates previous efforts by lawmakers in both parties to stave off a possible constitutional crisis should Mr. Trump try to shut down the Russia investigation by getting rid of Mr. Mueller. Over the summer, amid reports that Mr. Trump was considering that possibility, members of the parties introduced legislation to prevent that from happening.
The legislation went nowhere as the president, his lawyers and his top aides insisted that he was not — and never had been — considering firing Mr. Mueller. But bipartisan outrage has been rekindled by the news that Mr. Trump ordered the dismissal of Mr. Mueller, backtracking only after Donald F. McGahn II, the White House counsel, said he would resign rather than carry out the order.
Postmodern philosophy looks at how each person perceives things differently and concludes that no ultimate standards exist. The fact that we all have different perspectives only shows that we are not omniscient; yet it does not follow that no being can know or define truth. Have you succumbed to the implicit denials of truth in the culture? Ask God to help you know His truth and live it out by speaking honestly with everyone you know.
