I am going to author another story about Lola Montez who my ancestor knew, and wrote about. Jean-Baptiste Rosemond de Beauvallon and I are kin to Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor. Has Tomas heard of a Movie Goddess? Many movies have been made about Lola, who was seen as a goddess.

Born Maryse Mourer[1][2] (or Marie-Louise Jeanne Nicolle Mourer) in Saint-Mandé, Val-de-Marne, (France), she studied acting under René Simon (1898–1966), making her stage début in 1940 and her first motion picture in 1943. One of the most beautiful women in film, she was frequently cast as an elegant blonde seductress. During the late 1940s and early 1950s she was the leading sex symbol and a top box office draw of French cinema, and was considered a French version of America’s Marilyn Monroe. One of her most famous roles was as the title character in Lola Montès (1955), directed by Max Ophüls, in a role which necessitated dark hair. Despite her fame and fortune, Martine Carol’s personal life was filled with turmoil that included a suicide attempt and drug abuse, and four marriages. Rapture doctrine is one of the most recent “new doctrines” in the history of the Church. The only doctrine more recent is the invention of the sinner’s prayer for salvation by Billy Sunday in 1930, which was made popular by Billy Graham in 1935.
- The fact that John Nelson Darby invented the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine around 1830 AD is unquestionably true. All attempts to find evidence of this wild doctrine before 1830 have failed, with a single exception: Morgan Edwards wrote a short essay as a college paper for Bristol Baptist College in Bristol England in 1744 where he confused the second coming with the first resurrection of Revelation 20 and described a “pre-tribulation” rapture. However Edwards ideas, which he admitted were brand new and never before taught, had no influence in the modern population of the false doctrine. That prize to goes to Darby.
- Prior to 1830, no church taught it in their creed, catechism or statement of faith.
- Darby has had a profound impact on religion today, since Darby’s “secret rapture” false doctrine has infected most conservative, evangelical churches. While the official creeds and statements of faith of many churches either reject or are silent about Rapture, neither do they openly condemn this doctrine of a demon from the pulpit.
Lincoln police arrested a man Thursday after investigators say they found images of child porn on his computers.
Officer Katie Flood says Tomas Ensley, 58, faces charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Generation of Child Pornography. Flood says back in April, a sergeant with LPD’s Electronic Analysis Unit learned Ensley had child porn on his computer.
On April 16th, officers served a search warrant at Ensley’s home at 6601 Colfax. Flood says police seized three computers. Flood says after an analysis of the computers, it was discovered they contained pornographic images of boys clearly under the age of 18.
“In addition, a video file was contained on the computer that was created by Mr. Ensley,” Flood says. “In the video, he was performing illicit sex acts while child pornography played on a nearby television.” Flood says that video was 22 minutes long.
Flood says a second search warrant was served Thursday at Ensley’s home, and he was arrested. Flood says police seized a TV, a computer and some web cameras in the search.

There is no information about Rena on the site. She’s kept a low profile and we assume she has her reasons. We all respect that. We knew her as a lovely, sweet and troubled young woman. During their early years, when the Templars left Palestine after nine years of excavating under Solomon’s Temple, the Knights brought to Scotland four trunks full of Jewish temple treasures they had excavated and a cache of Johannite scrolls that authenticated their Johannite heritage. There are two definitions to be grasped at the outset of this essay. “Zionism” and “Christian Zionism”. Zionism is simply the belief that the Jewish people have been given the land of Israel by covenant promise to God and have a current right to occupy that land. Christian Zionists are Christians who agree with this belief.[1]
One of the key arguments from opponents of Christian Zionism is the argument that Christian Zionism has only been around for the past two hundred years. What the critics are obviously referring to is the advent of dispensationalism with John Nelson Darby who rose to prominence in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Donald Wagner, says in his book Anxious For Armageddon that ‘Darby was its greatest apostle and missionary [of Christian Zionism], the apostle Paul of the movement.’[2] The aim of this essay is to demonstrate that Christian Zionism was not an idea propagated by Darby, even though he may have certainly popularised it through the rise of dispensationalism, but rather it was a widespread belief held by a number of prominent church figures and theologians over the three hundred year period. To keep this essay brief, we will focus predominately on the contributions to Christian Zionism from Britain.
A significant observation of Christian Zionism in this period of church history is its partnership with Premillennialism. The reason why this is the case is because the same literal hermeneutic they applied to scripture to arrive at a Premillennialist position also naturally causes them to arrive at a Christian Zionist position. If the biblical promises made by God to Israel are to be taken literally and still apply to Israel today, and not the church, it should not be surprising to anyone that such a view leads one to take on board the belief of Christian Zionism.

A Rose By Any Other Name (Is Still Uber-Symbolic)
We’ve hit the symbolic jackpot, guys. Besides every teacher’s favorite fruit the apple, you’d be hard pressed to find something more symbolically fraught than the rose.
We know from Hans Christian Anderson that roses symbolize both royalty and innocence. We know from Faulkner that roses symbolize delusion. We know from Toni Morrison that (fake) roses symbolize stagnation and despair.
And of course we know from flower-delivery services that roses can mean anything from love to friendship to spirituality.
And when it comes to TheDa Vinci Code, roses get even more symbolic.
There are two main rose-related symbols in our story. The first is the actual flower itself, particularly the five-petaled rosa rugosa (which looks like this).
Langdon stared in wonderment at the lid’s hand-carved inlay – a five-petal rose. He had seen this type of rose many times. “The five-petal rose,” he whispered, “is a Priory symbol for the Holy Grail.” (44.54)
Thank you, Langdon, for explaining so succinctly. Saunière’d crafted the beautiful box for his cryptex using the symbol of the rose, because that’s exactly what his device will lead to: a quest for the Grail. He continues:
“Exactly. In Priory symbolism, the Rose and the Grail are synonymous.”
Sophie furrowed her brow. “That’s strange, because my grandfather always told me the Rose meant secrecy. He used to hang a rose on his office door at home when he was having a confidential phone call and didn’t want me to disturb him. He encouraged me to do the same.” Sweetie, her grandfather said, rather than lock each other out, we can each hang a rose— la fleur des secrets— on our door when we need privacy. This way we learn to respect and trust each other. Hanging a rose is an ancient Roman custom.
“Sub rosa,” Langdon said. “The Romans hung a rose over meetings to indicate the meeting was confidential. Attendees understood that whatever was said under the rose— or sub rosa— had to remain a secret.”
Langdon quickly explained that the Rose’s overtone of secrecy was not the only reason the Priory used it as a symbol for the Grail. Rosa rugosa, one of the oldest species of rose, had five petals and pentagonal symmetry, just like the guiding star of Venus, giving the Rose strong iconographic ties to womanhood. In addition, the Rose had close ties to the concept of “true direction” and navigating one’s way. The Compass Rose helped travelers navigate, as did Rose Lines, the longitudinal lines on maps. For this reason, the Rose was a symbol that spoke of the Grail on many levels— secrecy, womanhood, and guidance— the feminine chalice and guiding star that led to secret truth. (47.49-52)
Ah ha. So the rose is a symbol for the Holy Grail (a.k.a. Mary Magdalene), secrecy, and womanhood. Anything else?

We can always count on ol’ Teabing to point out the more risqué aspects of symbolism. Okay. Got it. In Da Vinci Code, the rose symbolizes the Holy Grail, Mary Magdalene, secrecy, womanhood and female sexuality.
We think that’s a whole lot of symbolism for a wee little flower to carry—but we’re not complaining. After all, we like symbolism almost as much as Robert Langdon.
James McDowell (October 13, 1795 – August 24, 1851) was 29thGovernor of Virginia from 1843 to 1846 and was a U.S.Congressman from 1846 to 1851.

McDowell was born at “Cherry Grove,” near Rockbridge County, Virginia, on October 13, 1795. He attended a classical school at Greenville, Virginia, a private school at Brownsburg, Washington College (now Washington and Lee University), Lexington, Virginia, and Yale College He graduated from Princeton College in 1817 and studied law. He was admitted to the bar but did not practice. He was a member of the State house of delegates 1831–1835 and again in 1838. He was chosen as Governor of Virginia in 1843. He was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-ninth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of William Taylor. He was reelected to the Thirtieth and Thirty-first Congresses and served from March 6, 1846, to March 3, 1851. McDowell died on his estate “Col Alto” near Lexington, August 24, 1851. He was interred in Presbyterian Cemetery.
McDowell was the brother-in-law of SenatorThomas Hart Benton. McDowell County, West Virginia was formed in 1858 and named in honor of Governor McDowell
Col Alto is a historic home located at Lexington, Virginia. The original section was built about 1827, and is a two-story, double-pile, three-bay, Georgian style brick dwelling with a hipped roof. In the 1930s, the house was remodeled, enlarged, and modernized by noted architect William Lawrence Bottomley. Bottomley added the distinctive Palladian style veranda. Also on the property are a contributing barn and log cabin. Col Alto was the home of Congressman James McDowell (1795-1851), for whom the house was built, and Congressman Henry St. George Tucker III (1853-1932).[3]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.[1]
