When a successful brilliant New York advertising executive Howard Inlet falls into depression after the loss of his daughter and begins to escape from life entirely, he starts writing letters to things, such as love, time and death, and when his friends discover this, they encounter three mysterious people by having them personifying each elements from Howard’s letters in order to get him to let go of the past.
