Alas have found forgiveness for my late mother, Rosemary Rosamond Miles. Since I became sober twenty-seven years ago, I have been searching for the source of the shame-base that has been lurking in my family, coming from my mother’s people. On this day, I believe I have found it with the finding of the grave of Mother Wieneke who lies with her two children in the Saint Francis Cemetery in Iowa. Researchers are trying to discover the name of this mother. I suspect she was a Mother Superior of the Order of Saint Francis that fled Germany during Kulturkumph (culture war). This Mother appears to have quit the order, got married, and had children. If this is the case, then this Mother is a legend, a Fallen Angel, that best describes my mother. I suspect Rosemary became obsessed with the tales of Mother Wieneke, and thus employed her to escape…
