For nineteen days I have been composing this blog, this ballet, to Rena’s lost perfection. Instead of a black swan, I had visions of a black eagle atop Lone Mountain in Montana. Here a million poems are stored in the mind of the most isolated woman on earth, who in my opinion, was once the most beautiful woman put in the world.
Forty four years after we met, we found each other again, and exchanged two long letters – full of poetry. Believing there will now be a wondrous end to my tale, I received the shock of my life. Rena had insisted Deputy Sheriff, Dan Wayling, accuse me of stalking her. She had read something in my letter, that Dan could not see, nor I…………unless!
Last night, before I went to bed, I searched the world wide web for images of the black eagle. I captured her, and stored her in my computer. This morning I read about the possible existence of a Dark Planet that could replace Pluto. This is Rena Easton’s planet, I silently declared.
I am going to write a story that I hope will be an Ballet. I want Rena to help choreograph it. She will be the Black Eagle atop Lonely Mountain who successfully maintains the idea of perfection in America, and in the world. But, she has an Achilles heal – and I found it! I thought I buried it deep in my loving words, put it where she could never read it. But she did. I knew better, for it is there in the cruel story of Rosemary and Christine.
Here is THE QUESTion Rena spotted from a thousands yards high…
“How hard was it to be Rena’s daughter?”
And there is a mournful cry high in the air. We are the children of fallen angels!
