This book was published in 1983 before ‘Holy Blood, Holy Grail’. Victor told me I was Rosemary’s Baby, because it was my mother who put that knife in my hand when I ordered him out of our home when I was twelve. Victor told most of my kindred I was not his son, but the product of Rosemary’s betrayal. I was different then his three children. I did not look like my siblings.
As a teen Vic dreamt of being born in Rome at the height of its power. This is why he used his two sons as slaves, and sexually abused our sisters.
“Romulus and Remus are two CIA agents, their direct instructor is John Elliott. They both were picked up at an orphanage by Elliott at the age of about eight, raised together as brothers and specially trained to supersede every other agent in the service. This is what they know. What they do not know is that they are part of a system Elliott had invented to build up his own private army of pros which can be assigned to any job he wishes”
I know Mark suffered from Crib Envy, he trying to push me out of the Presco Nest since I was brought home from the hospital. That’s Uncle Dick egging Mark on, he having flown sixty bombing missions over Germany. I was anti-war since 1958. Can you tell?
One day, in disgust, Victor said this as we drove down a street in Lafayette California;
“I hate art!”
Captain Vic wore a patch over one eye after his second wife knocked it out with a huge ashtray. She later shot him in the back with his 9mm. But, she wasn’t trying to assassinate him like Rosemary’s sons, were, and he forgave poor Dee-Dee.
None of the above made it in the sanctioned Tell All books and screenplay, thus, these books were flops. I doubt any producer bought an option for ‘The Invisible Rose’ story.

The star of ‘The Brotherhood of the Rose’ has that Rena look. Hey, but what do I know. I am friggen insane. The folks who wrote the Un-books, and Un-movie script – are sane!

The Brotherhood of the Rose is the first novel in a trilogy by David Morrell, first published in 1983. It is followed by The Fraternity of the Stone (1985) and The League of Night and Fog (1987).[1]
The Brotherhood of the Rose tells the story of Saul and Chris, two orphans from Philadelphia. They are adopted by a man named Elliot, who treats the boys like his own children and raises them to become assassins.
The TV-Movie version
The novel was adapted by Gy Waldron as Brotherhood of the Rose, a two-part television movie directed by Marvin J. Chomsky. The film starred Peter Strauss as Saul and David Morse as Chris. The cast included Robert Mitchum, Connie Sellecca, and James Sikking. The majority of filming for the movie took place in New Zealand, with that country portraying numerous other world-wide locations. The film premiered on January 22, 1989 on NBC, following Super Bowl XXIII.
