On September 8, 2013, my dear friend Virginia Hambley got down on her knee at the Mission café in Eugene and proposed marriage to me – for the second time!
I had asked her to do something for me, look at my blog and my genealogical study. I told her we have ties to Old Lyme where the McCurdy family lived, they kin to Captain Isaac Hull of the U.S. Constitution. All of sudden, Virginia, says;
“Marry me. I need a change. I don’t want things to go on as they have been.”
Virginia Hambley is fifty years of age, and has never been married.
“Yes! I will marry you. We have loved each other for sixteen years.”
We would later exchange lollipops in the park by the river. I enjoyed her flavor, as she enjoyed mine. We exchanged our DNA.
Virginia and I were lovers in 1997. When I moved to Springfield we did not see much of each other till Sunday. I didn’t know it then, but, when Virginia rose from her knee after giving me a French Kiss, she rose of a Princess of the Blood. I knew the de Bourmonts were connected, but I did not know they married into the House of Bourbon, and are kindred of Louis-Henry Ier de Bourbon-Condé who was the grand-maître de l’Ordre des Chevaliers du Temple.

I had told Virginia about the Rougemont Templars and how I am kin to the Windsors. I told her when we got married we may be something like 126 in line to the throne of England. After looking close at the de Bourmonts, her mother’s maiden name, Virginia by herself is in line to many thrones. Elizabeth Hambley de Bourmont was born in France.
I have compared Virginia to Ofelia in Pan’s Labyrinth which is about restoring the Bourbons to the Spanish throne. This is a fairytale come true. Virginia has always been a noble and brave being in my eyes. I am more then honored to be her fiancé, and eventually, her husband. I am truly humbled. I have always loved Virginia, and always will.

The reference book is “The general of Bourmont under the reign of Louis XVIII portrait moral and political” by Jean-Baptiste AUZEL, thesis for the École des Chartes 1997
The exhibition shows both the paper, decorations, portraits and busts of family. But the bloody outfit of young Amedeo, Sain of 27 years who was killed during the capture of Algiers, shows that archives are the testimony of the life of families. The exposed bezel seems to still keep a reflection of its owner from the Portugal campaigns the Russia and the Algeria, Marshal whose life was that fidelity to the army and to the legitimate Kings.

Louis Henri de Bourbon, Duke of Bourbon, Prince de Condé (Louis Henri Joseph; 18 August 1692 – 27 January 1740) was head of the Bourbon-Condé cadet branch of the France’s reigning House of Bourbon from 1710 to his death, and served as prime minister to his kinsman Louis XV from 1723 to 1726.
Despite succeeding as head of the House of Condé in 1709, he never used that name, preferring the title “Duke of Bourbon”, and was known at court as Monsieur le Duc. As a member of the reigning House of Bourbon, he was a prince du sang.
A prince of the blood was a person who was legitimately descended in the male line from the monarch of a country. In France, the rank of prince du sang was the highest held at court after the immediate family of the king during the ancien régime and the Bourbon Restoration. After leaving the world of darkness, the princess had many “reincarnations,” that is, Spain assumed many different faces during its history. The film focuses only on the 20th century transition from Monarchy to the Franco Regime and then from this one to the new Monarchy we are witnessing today. The Spain of that time, Ofelia, had been born from the marriage of her mother, Carmen – the Catholic Church – with the monarchical regime that preceded the Civil War – her father, is presented as a tailor, a man concerned only with appearances. It is an understandable portrayal of the superficial monarchy of that preceded the Civil War, very concerned about status, titles and appearances.
Soon after the death of her husband – the end of the old Monarchy – the Catholic Church married Francoism, represented by Captain Vidal. In this marriage, a son – a new regime – was conceived. During her difficult pregnancy, the Church is sick and completely dominated by Francoism, which obliges her to come to his headquarters to give birth to the infant.

Engagement and marriage[edit source | editbeta]
Photograph taken moments after the assassination attempt on Alfonso and Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg on their wedding day.
Alfonso met Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg while on a state visit to the United Kingdom in 1905, where he was hosted at Buckingham Palace by her uncle, King Edward VII of the United Kingdom. Obstacles to the relationship included Alfonso’s mother, who desired that he married a member of her royal house, the Habsburgs; the presence of haemophilia in the genes of the British royal family; and Victoria’s Protestantism. However, Maria Christina was eventually convinced by January 1906 to write an official letter to Victoria’s mother, Princess Beatrice. Victoria met Maria Christina and Alfonso in Biarritz, France, later that month, and converted to Catholicism in San Sebastian in March of that year.
In May, diplomats of both kingdoms officially executed the agreement of marriage. Alfonso and Victoria were married at the Royal Monastery of San Jerónimo in Madrid on 31 May 1906, with British royalty including Victoria’s cousins the Prince and Princess of Wales (later King George V and Queen Mary in attendance. The wedding was marred by an assassination attempt on Alfonso and Victoria by the Catalan anarchist Mateu Morral, whose bomb killed bystanders.[4]

Philip V[edit source | editbeta]
The Spanish branch of the House of Bourbon was founded by Philip V. He was born in 1683 in Versailles, the second son of the Grand Dauphin, son of Louis XIV. He was Duke of Anjou and probably never expected to be raised to a rank higher than that. However King Charles II of Spain, dying without issue, willed the throne to his grand-nephew the Duke of Anjou, younger grandson of his eldest sister Marie-Thérèse, daughter of King Philip IV of Spain who had married Louis XIV of France.
The prospect of Bourbons on both the French and Spanish thrones was resisted as creating an imbalance of power in Europe by its dominant regimes and, upon Charles II’s death on 1 November 1700, a Grand Alliance of European nations united against Philip. This was known as the War of Spanish Succession. In the Treaty of Utrecht, signed on 11 April 1713, Philip was recognized as king of Spain but his renunciation of succession rights to France was affirmed and, of the Spanish Empire’s other European territories, Sicily was ceded to Savoy, and the Spanish Netherlands, Milan and Naples were alloted to the Austrian Habsburgs.
Philip had two sons by his first wife. After her death he married Elisabeth Farnese, niece of Francesco Farnese, Duke of Parma, in 1714. She presented Philip with three sons, for whom she had ambitions of securing Italian crowns. Thus she induced Philip to occupy Sardinia and Sicily in 1717.
