The key to the Savior’s mission is to know IT WAS THE SEASON FOR FIGS! God has made a Welfare Law that made sure the poor, the widow, and the lame got part of God’s bounty. I believe God’s Welfare System of Social Justice (socialism) was abolished so the the rich would prosper, and the poor, would wither away.

The Jubilee Messiah of the Poor, the Fatherless, the Alien, the
Widow, and the Enslaved

Deuteronomy 24:21 When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do
not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the
fatherless and the widow. Deuteronomy 26:12 When you have finished
setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year
of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the alien, the
fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be
satisfied.
No Christian minister has given a remote clue as to why Jesus takes a
whip to the money lenders and money changers on the temple grounds.
He does so in order to remind them that all Jews are slaves of God,
because God paid their debt and ranson when He brought them out of
slavery in Egypt. Jesus, as King, has traditionally gone out to the
fields and is angered that the Jews have not left gleanings for the
poor widows and fatherless children. He curses a barren fig tree, and
it whithers to its root, it no longer to bare fruit for the landlord.
He then heads for the temple, more then likely taking a whip from a
driver beating a beast of burden.
Rabbi David Kimche (Provance 12th century) compares Israel to
indentured servants, who are lifelong slaves. Similarly, he states,
Israelites, whom God acquired by redeeming them from Egypt, should
consider themselves God’s lifelong slaves.
The year 2000 was a Jubilee year. This is the year Bush and his rich
backers came into power and began to go to work on giving the rich
generous tax cuts. These wealthy Republcians claim they are the party
of Jesus, own the moral high-ground, and are the leaders of the
cultural warfare they wage against the Democrats who have championed
Civil Rights.
The Jesus of the restored Jubilee, is the Savior the New Huguenots
recognize. He is Just Landord of the True Thanksgiving. Let us have
another Peasant’s Revolt, and drive these rich liars from office, and
show the world we are not slaves to money and the rich. Here is the
true Kingdom of God, here on Earth, celebrated by our generous and
charitable nature that brings comfort to all, instead of fear and
terror.
Here come our true Son of Liberty holding high the Light of God. Here
is the Comforter who gives those in need, sanctuary, liberty, and
rest.

“Debt relief for the world’s poorest countries is supported by a
movement known as Jubilee 2000. This worldwide movement was begun by
Christians who believe that the 2,000th anniversary of the coming of
Christ is a Jubilee year. According to the Bible, the Lord instructed
the people of ancient Israel to celebrate a jubilee–a year of the
Lord–every 50 years. During a Jubilee year, slaves were set free,
land was redistributed and debts were forgiven.
Jubilee” is used by the movement as biblical support to insist
on “debt forgiveness” for the poorest nations on the planet. Typical
of the rationale statements is the one from Jubilee USA Network:
“In the Jubilee Year as quoted in Leviticus, those enslaved because
of debts are freed, lands lost because of debt are returned, and
community torn by inequality is restored.”
Advocates often say that lenders have an obligation to cancel debt
because of the Jubilee code.
Jubilee Year: Time to Pardon Financial Debt of World’s Poorest?

Washington — January 1, 2000 marks more than the turn of the
millennium in the Western calendar. It also signals the beginning of
a “jubilee year” in the Hebrew calendar, which occurs every 50 years
to ensure that social and environmental equilibrium remains in
balance.
In ancient Israel, a jubilee year was a time for releasing slaves,
reapportioning land and canceling debts.
This ancient concept has led to an international campaign, Jubilee
2000, calling for a cancellation of the financial debt of the world’s
poorest countries. The U.S. campaign, while not faith-based,
comprises a coalition of 35 organizations including the National
Council of Churches, environmental and other groups, as well as
women’s, peasant, union and other watchdog groups in over 60
countries around the world.
“This is a grassroots campaign to change the policy of our
government,” said David Bryden, communications coordinator for the
Jubilee 2000 USA Campaign.

Mark: Jesus Cursed Tree Before Temple
Mark believes that Jesus cursed the fig tree, then he drove the
merchants from the temple:
Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. He looked around at
everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany
with the Twelve. The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was
hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find
out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but
leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the
tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples
heard him say it. On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple
area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there…
When evening came, they went out of the city. In the morning, as they
went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter
remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed
has withered!” “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the
truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the
sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says
will happen, it will be done for him. (Mark 11:11-22)

Deuteronomy 24:20 “When you beat the olives from your trees, do not
go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien,
the fatherless and the widow.Deuteronomy 24:19 “When you are
harvesting in your field and you over look a sheaf, do not go back to
get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that
the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your
hands.”Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners
shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.””The Spirit of the Lord
GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To preach good
tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To
proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to
those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And
the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn.” (Isaiah
61:1-2) After reading the New Testament for the first time, I was
deeply puzzled as to why Jesus baptized Paul of Tarsus in some
fashion in order to complete his ministry, bring his message to the
Gentiles. I wondered why this was not done by God’s only begotten Son
when he walked the Earth. I also wondered why Gentiles were able to
understand Jesus’s parables – that were full of Biblical references –
while the learned Jews seemed to be oblivious, and often furious
everytime they heard a prophetic riddle. Paul would use this
ignorance exhibited by scholars of the Torah as an excuse to take
Jesus’ teaching from the Jews, and give it to Gentiles, even to the
Romans, while at the same time telling slaves throughout the Roman
empire, to remain slaves and serve their masters without complaint,
for their liberator is coming back, soon, and freeing them into a
heavenly kingdom and not an earthly one.Two thousand year later,
Evangelical leaders in Congress and the Senate claim they are
upholding ‘Christian Family Value’ as is their right because our
Founding Fathers established this Democracy upon the teaching of
Jesus. However, it was not until recently that Women and Blacks owned
the right to vote. Indeed, many Southern Christian Ministers stood
behind pulpits all over the South spouting scripture in defence of
Slavery.
