I have dressed in costume most of my life. My Bohemian friends and I were into street theatre. At the family campground my magical drama was mocked. Then, someone found the foxfire in the forest, where earlier a child used an axe on a fallen tree. I had promised the children a light show from the moon, where pieces of the moon would fall on the forest floor. After this moment of vindication, I was shunned.
The oppression of the Hippie was severe – and costly! Marijuana was just made legal here in Oregon, where most citizens will reap the benefits on the 17% tax on getting high and seeing pretty colors.
Not finding a poster of the event, I had a street artist make me one. I paid him $15 dollars and gave him my light so he could work in the dark.
Here is the musical I have been playing with for the last two years, that is now prophetic with the Kesey Family showing up at the Square to give the message, reckless homeless folks are not welcome.
