Roya Rosamond Press is conducting a LIVE INVESTIGATION of the death of Drew Benton.
At 3:00 P.M. I called Ron’s Tire that was about to close. I talked to Joe, the manager, who used to do police work. So he knew what I was doing, and approved. He did not recall anyone that works for him finding Drew Benton’s cellphone. I should have read the report AGAIN before I called, but the tire shop was about to close. We talked about how hot it gets. He said he cant walk his dogs till around 11:30 PM because the sidewalks are too hot. How Drew walked almost a mile to Damien;s house, is a fantastic mystery. However, there was a……CAR CRASH. Cars crash when couples are fighting. Quite often, females are shoved out and have to walk home.
Here’s another mind-blower! Drew was locked out of her appartment! Was her key in her wallet attached to her cellphone. Who had another key? Did Damien Bosley have a key. Did Drew try to contact him? Did she? Did a neighbor call”

“On 07-23-24, I was requested by Sgt. Canfield to see if I could verify that there was no motor vehicle crash in the area of . I drove to the area and attempted to locate a vehicle crash. I was unable to locate a vehicle crash at that time. I then went to the third floor of . to get a better vantage point of the desert area. When I was on the third floor, I observed a large amount of blood in front of room .”
Supplemental Narrative 07/23/2024 13:04:11 Scott Sharpe SUMMARY: On 7-23-2024, I was assigned to contact Derek Stevens and Ron’s tires in Fort Mohave to collect a cell phone belonging to Drew Benton, and to obtain surveillance video of how the phone was located. I met with Derek at the store and he handed me a black cell phone which had a wallet attached to it. I grabbed the phone using a plastic bag and never opened the wallet to see what was inside, but Derek said he had, and there was some money and credit cards belonging to a Drew Benton. Derek explained that earlier today he received a call from Damon Martin from Tri State Turf which is the business directly north of Ron’s. Damon told Derek that one of their workers found a cell phone in a fenced area behind Ron’s. Damon wanted to see how the phone got thee, so he checked his surveillance video and saw somebody, possibly a female prowling the lot at Ron’s. Video showed her throw the phone into the yard where it was located. Damon brought the phone to Ron’s and gave it to Derek. Derek checked his video and found that on Sunday, 7-21- 2024 at approx. 2100 hrs. he found a heavy set female with brown hair wearing a light green shirt and blue jeans wandering around the south parking lot. She is seen walking to the N/W side of the service bays, but you can’t tell exactly what she is doing. After about 15 minutes, the female walks away towards Hwy 95 and out of camera view. I met with Damon at tri State Turf. He was not sure how to save the video so he called Seth Rettig from Alarmtek to come save the video. Seth was at Tri State Turf when I arrived. I sent Damon an AXON link and he loaded the video onto the AXON server via the link. Ron’s is also a customer of Alarmtek. Seth went to Ron’s and put their video on my thumb drive which I loaded onto AXON.

I called dispatch to verify what room Drew Benton was from. I was informed she resides at room . I spoke with Richard Craghead (AZ DL) in room . Richard advised he did not hear anything. I spoke with Carolyn Deyoung (AZ DL) in room . Carolyn advised she did not hear anything. I spoke with Roberta Gosselin (CA DL) in room . Roberta advised she heard a lot of movement next door at approximately 2200 hours on 07-22-24. Roberta advised that Drew was locked out of her apartment on Sunday night. Axon Avail. Nothing Further. Supplemental Narrative 07/23/2024 15:47:52 Joan Powers On 07/23/2024 AEO Lopez and I responded to unit for two cats. Upon arrival, we waited for the apartment to get cleared and forensics to take pictures of the scene, before we entered to obtain the two cats. We eventually were able to view two cats under the bed in the far corner away from us, and we could not safely achieve to reach them and contain them. We then went to the managers office as we were told the boyfriend possibly will pick them up. The manager then stated if the boyfriend comes, she will give him a key as he is emergency contact to get the two cats out. Food that was already in the apartment was supplied to the cats to eat.
