After the Meathead is committed to a mental hospital, Gloria joins a super-hippie cult in Hawaii. Archie complains he will never see Little Joey again. Three months later there is a knock on the Bunker door. Archie opens it, and a baby in a basket raises her arms to be picked up! There is a note pinned to the pink blanket.
“Here ya go Daddy! She’s all yours. Raise her to be the daughter you always wanted. I refuse to be your Little Liar anymore. You lie all the time. You drove Michael insane with your clever half-truths!”
Episode One Meeting the Meat
After becoming Press Secretary, Archie thinks it’s time for Angie to meet the Meathead ‘The Big Loser’ . They meet The Loser on the ward working on his plans to end the War in Vietnam. They’ve given him a whole wall to do a mock-up of….The Final Solution. There are notes connected by colorful yarn, Angie took in the Family Labyrinth, the Cat’s Credle, and, the family Gordan Knot. Archie can not wait to see Michael humiliated again. How long has it been? He has no answers, He never did!
While the claim that Archie Bunker was a liar might seem like a simple “yes” or “no” answer, it’s a complex one. Archie, as portrayed in “All in the Family,” was certainly known for his prejudice and strong opinions, and he sometimes used those to his advantage, but calling him a “liar” is an oversimplification. He was often dishonest in his statements to maintain his position or avoid consequences.
Yes, Meathead (Mike Stivic) and Gloria (Gloria Stivic, nee Bunker) did have a baby, named Joseph “Joey” Stivic. The baby was born in December 1975. They also had a previous pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage.
