Watcing Musk and Trump toying around with the red car in front of the White House made me want to puke, I was reminded of the evil time my daughter broght Drunken Bill Cornwall in my life, and he and his Tea Party Daddy wanted my grandson – and his mother! Bill could not – concieve! He told me from the racetrack I was about to lose my daughter and grandson because I was overwieghtm amd was a “parasite” because I got Government money. Heather Hanson and Mark Gall were the trustees of my Special Needs Trust. My Uncle Vinnie had left me $30,000 dollars that I tried to give to my daughter, but was told I would lose all Government aid if I did, includiung my medical. I was on HUD and would end up in the street in a month. I was told if I get thus trust, I could keep everything, and spend my windfall. I almost bought a trup to Europe, and a brand new Toyota. Arecord number of people are struggling to afford housing, and leaders from across the political spectrum have called for action. But the Trump Administration, including Elon Musk and the “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), has taken one step after another that will undermine the most effective policies to help people afford housing, including cutting Housing and Urban Development (HUD) staff, withholding urgently needed funds, and making harmful policy changes.
In 2023, 24 million people lived in low-income households that paid over half their income in rent, forcing them to shift money away from other basic needs and often leaving them one setback away from eviction. In January 2024, 770,000 people across the country — an all-time high — couldn’t afford housing at all and were forced to live in shelters, cars, tents, or other unsafe and unstable circumstances.
The Trump Administration’s actions, on the other hand, will mean that fewer people who struggle to keep a roof over their heads will get the help they need.
Punitive city policies are also woefully counterproductive, only perpetuating the very malady they purport to address.By Tyler Walicek , Truthout

50 percent of staff in the HUD office that administers vouchers, public housing, and Native American housing programs, which together help 7 million people afford housing;
44 percent in the office the oversees the project-based rental assistance program, which provides rental assistance to an additional 2 million people;
84 percent in the office that administers homelessness assistance and grants that help communities build affordable housing and recover from disasters; and
77 percent in the office that enforces fair housing laws — one of a series of Administration actions that will severely weaken protections for people who face housing discrimination based on characteristics such as race, gender, and age.
Staff in these offices play a critical role in ensuring that tens of billions of dollars of badly needed federal funds are distributed promptly and used efficiently. Layoffs on the scale that DOGE is seeking will lead to delays and waste, resulting in people and communities around the country getting less help to address urgent needs.
In addition, the Administration has interrupted the normal flow of HUD funds that are used to address housing needs, again sometimes through means that are likely illegal. HUD attempted in January to withhold funds as part of a broader federal funding freeze, which multiple federal courts have ordered the Administration to temporarily halt while they review the action. HUD does not appear to have intentionally withheld funds for vouchers and other rental assistance so far, but the uncertainty created by Administration policies has led to payment delays that could cause some landlords to stop accepting vouchers, making it harder for voucher holders to find homes they can rent.
Meanwhile, HUD has yet to deliver any of the $3.6 billion in homelessness assistance funding awarded January 17, which communities are counting on to provide rental assistance, shelter, outreach, and other services to people experiencing homelessness. While HUD notified at least some grantees that they will begin to receive funds soon, the uncertainty has disrupted community planning efforts and the final awards may include abrupt policy changes that could complicate implementation. The Administration has also canceled contracts for organizations that help protect people from housing discrimination and provide technical assistance that plays a crucial role in effectively implementing HUD programs — even though the Administration provided no evidence that the organizations were failing to perform as required.
Finally, HUD officials have proposed or discussed a series of policy changes that would make it harder for many people in need to receive housing assistance. HUD has said it will publish a rule rolling back non-discrimination protections that guarantee access to safe shelter and housing assistance for transgender and nonbinary people, who experience disproportionately high rates of homelessness. And it has already published a rule weakening fair housing requirements.
HUD officials have also called for evicting or cutting off rental assistance for people who don’t meet burdensome work requirements, a step that would increase administrative costs and expose many children, people with serious health conditions or caretaking responsibilities, and others to severe hardship.
Rather than squandering resources on costly tax cuts for the wealthy, policymakers should be expanding effective programs toward the goals of ending homelessness and ensuring everyone has a stable, affordable home. And they should make targeted reforms to address shortcomings of those programs to make them even more effective at addressing pressing housing needs. The Administration’s actions will have the opposite effect, making it harder for people to afford housing and exit homelessness.

It was supposed to be a moment of celebration: Vice President JD Vance was attending a concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington on Thursday evening for the first time since President Trump’s stunning takeover of the institution.
Instead, as Mr. Vance took his seat in the box tier with the second lady, Usha Vance, loud boos broke out in the auditorium, lasting roughly 30 seconds, according to audience members and a video posted on social media. Mr. Vance was shown in the video waving to the audience as he settled into his seat.
The incident put on display the outcry over Mr. Trump’s decision last month to purge the Kennedy Center’s once-bipartisan board of its Biden appointees and have himself elected its chairman. (The president, who broke with tradition during his first term by not attending the Kennedy Center Honors after some of the artists being celebrated criticized him, complained that the center had become too “wokey.”)
Mr. Vance attended Thursday’s performance by the National Symphony Orchestra, one of the Kennedy Center’s flagship groups. The ensemble, under the baton of its music director, Gianandrea Noseda, performed Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 2, with Leonidas Kavakos as the soloist. After an intermission, the orchestra played Stravinsky’s “Petrushka.”
The Vances stayed for the entire concert, audience members said. Ms. Vance was recently appointed by Mr. Trump to serve as a board member at the Kennedy Center, alongside other Trump allies like Susie Wiles, the White House chief of staff; and Laura Ingraham, the Fox News host.
The concert started about 20 minutes late because of added security measures, audience members said.
Roma Daravi, a spokeswoman for the Kennedy Center, said she had no comment on the episode.
A White House spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.
In February, President Trump ousted the Kennedy Center’s longtime chairman, the financier David M. Rubenstein, the center’s largest donor. His new board of loyalists elected him chairman and fired Deborah F. Rutter, the center’s president for more than a decade. At least three other top staff members were also dismissed.
Performers, including the actress Issa Rae and the musician Rhiannon Giddens, have dropped out in protest amid fears that Mr. Trump’s calls to rid the center of “woke” influences, drag shows and “anti-American propaganda” would result in a reshaping of programming. The musical “Hamilton” recently scrapped a planned tour there next year.
While Mr. Trump has not yet articulated his vision for the center, his appointees have provided some hints. Richard Grenell, whom Mr. Trump named as the center’s new president, recently said that the center planned “a big, huge celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas.”

Linda bought him some sound equipment and he wants to make money producing records. Then – he drops dead of acute alcoholism.
Heather had signed a legal document and became my Trustee. But after Flip’s good friend called me a “parasite” and Patrice’s daughter agreed – I had to get out for my sanity. I might go back to drinking. Not once did Patrice’s daughter call me and ask how my radiation treatment for prostate cancer was going. My attorney bid me to get rid of her – and even sue her! She sent me this, proof Patrice still wants to be in control of the Rosamond legacy. I suspect they got their book in the works.

Heather and Patrice have no empathy for Christine – or me! WE could have had a wonderful and miraculous story out in 2001, but, Patrice felt threatened. Instead, we got a book that demonizes a world famous artist and her parents. Is it just fine to say terrible things about a famous person, and not un-famous people? The Hansons have had a big problem for thirty-six years, they are not famous, never will be famous, yet a child of a famous family was born unto them. Being a blessing – was not good enough – for Patrice’s daughter.

The Gold Digger and ‘The Toy’
No father wants to find evidence his daughter deceived him, withheld vital information from him, and manipulated him with the help of hidden people behind the scenes, people the father does not know.
Three hours ago I found the name of Linda Comstock’s ex-husband. He owned a bank and was a corporate lawyer. He had many wealthy Democratic friends that he partied with – till he dropped. His obituary says he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, but, when I checked, I could not find Tom’s name.
When my seventeen year old daughter was disappeared from my life in 2000, I wondered if Thomas A. Comstock Jr. knew about this kidnapping. I wondered if he suggested Heather Hanson get with the money people, and away from ‘The Loser’. I was everything…
I now understand why Neil Laudati did not respond to purchasing KORE. He was afraid I would open the flood gates to the homeless of Springfield, and a Tent City would gather around the old radio tower where broadcast The Word of God, that was relayed across the Atlantic, to Radio London. Below is my letter to ex-Mayor, Kitty Percy, who was a friend of Hollis.
What I was poised to do, was have The Homeless – OWN A CHURCH! No longer would they be -mere guests! All the tithe of The Homeless Church, would go directly to them. The middle man would be cut out. The Church has long USED THE POOR AND HOMELESS to get monies for the poor – and then they build cathedrals! Here is te first Poor Altar that was erected by God in a building slated to be torn down. The owner demanded it be removed.

God has given me a message to give unto you………..Heaven is now close to everyone but the homeless. Only they will be taken up when they die – until further notice!
Hollis took me to the home of a Kesey whose name I forgot. He had stayed here for a couple of month. It is a Christian half-way house. It was Halloween night. My homeless friend wanted to give me a gift. He wanted me to talk to the Christians here, and convert to Christianity. No one has offered me a more precious gift.
I told H that Jesus already came into my life, and he and God bid me to be a Nazarite.
“I seperated and consecrated myself – directly to God! I await His instructions. I am forbidden to boast about my seeing and hearing Jesus – directly!”
Hollis was amused, in his cute way. Hollis’ father didn’t want anything to do with him after he got out of the Army. His mother had died, and he had remarried. H was an orphan in the world who claimed he was kin to Elvis Presley. Born in Kentucky, H loved the South. At the end of his memorial we stood for – The King. When the homeless own churches all over the world, there will never be another Homeless Orphan. The church has been turned upside down! Say hallelujah!
If Safeway gave the option to donate redeemed can slips to homeless vets, I think many will say “Yes”
Monies could be used to hire homeless vets to work in community gardens and grow porduce for kitchens for the hungry. Vets could be hired, or, volenteer during peek hours to recieve cans and feed them into recycle machines they would know how to maintain. This would help Safeway employees. Vets could wear name tags in form of flag. Customers will love the opportunity to help those who served.
Monies could be used to pay for funerals of unfamilied vets. I tried to do this for Hollis with my trust monies, but, was given the wrong information. I did not want him declared an indigent and thrown away. I adopted Hollis through the Elks Association.

Dear Kitty Piercy
My dear friend Hollis passed away on March 8th. He was a homeless Veteran for many years and had been placed in an apartment two months ago by HUD-VASH. He also received funds from The Vet-Vincent De Paul program. Because Hollis has no next of kin, I adopted him through the Elks Society, and am paying for his cremation with monies from a Special Needs Trust. I am on SSI. Mr. Williams is now my son. I did not want him to be treated like a unfamilied pauper – after he is dead!
The people at HUD-VASH have been very helpful, however, they have no funding in order to make sure Veterans like Hollis – have not served in vain! For this reason, I have established the Hollis Williams Memorial Fund at Selco Community Credit Union. At Hollis’ memorial, I will present the idea that if we collect $1,005 dollars, then Hollis himself can pay for the burial cost of the next Homeless Vet who dies unfamilied. This is the passing of a baton amongst a Band of Brothers. Here is a hand from heaven lifting up the next Homeless Veteran who passes on.
I am not a Veteran. I was drafted in 1966, but because of grave emotional problems I was classified 4F.
I have always respected those who served, and have considered them my brothers.
The memorial will be at the Campbells Senior Center 155 High St. at 1:30 Sunday the 17th.

I recieved a letter from the Rice Trust saying I will get a check for $13,746.23 within 15 days if everyone signs. I got a call from Maria Cortez at HUD-VASH and we are trying to locate funds to bury my dear friend who died last Friday. I am Hollis William’s foster-father and will recieve a document shortly. He is a Vetran, and I do not want my Foster-son to be buried as a pauper. How much money is left in my trust? The cost of the burial is $1,005 dollars. I want to have enough to keep open my Trust with you until check arrives.
My friend Ben Toney titled me “The Sage of Oregon” this morning. We have Fair Rosamond as a common ancestor. Ben was a head of Radio London, that due to censorship, broadcast from a ship off the coast. He knew all the great music stars in Britain and the US. I showed him this video of Chuck Kesey telling me how proud Springfield was to get the Grateful Dead tossed out of a downtown bar – and there you were! I might have a video of my interview with you.
