Jesus Was a Foundling and Slave

Jesus followed in the footsteps of Moses – and King David. He was abandoned, found, then sold to a barren woman and wife, who could not born a child. God had closed her womb, like he closed the womb of Hannah and Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. This is the meaning of ‘Virgin Birth’. After taking the Vow of the Nazarite, God opens the womb, and the mother conceives, her eggs become fertile. She has been having sexual intercourse. There was no immaculate conception. After adopting Jesus, God opens Miriam’s womb, and she bares children from her womb. This is the way God blesses her for being merciful to the poor “alien” widows son. Is a foundling titled ‘Son of God’?

I suspect Jesus’s mother was a Moabite slave, descended from Ruth and Boaz. The Jews and Moabites had a falling out, and they were no longer considered members of the congregation. Yet this Moabite practiced the rituals of Judaism, including the Sukkot. Not having money to eruct a Sukkot booth, Miriam found a abandoned stable. She was probably a widow, or, her wealthy owner got her pregnant. Did he have royal blood? Jesus reads from Ruth on the Mount of Olives. I believe he sent his step-brother to purchase the threshing floor where Boaz first saw Ruth. This is replicating David buying a threshing floor in order to build his temple. Either the woman dies, or, being too poor, she sells Jesus to a woman named Mary. Her husband is furniture maker who employs his real sons in his shop. James is n enlightened student of the Torah, and imparts his knowledge to his half-brother, who later astounds the elders at the temple with his grasp of the Torah. Later, his real mother and father are identified, and Jesus is a candidate for King of The Jews, and is put on a white colt and paraded about. Palm branches are laid before him. But I suspect these followers are descendants of the Ruth and Boaz union, and Jesus is a threat to the Herodians, especially when he promises to build another temple – that admits the Jews and Moabites. They are united – again!

Returning to Bethlehem, where he was born, Jesus reads from the Torah, and establishes new dates for the New Jubilee. He bids the land stolen from the Moabites, be returned, and, Moabite slaves – set free. Moabites who sold themselves into servitude to pay a debt, are forgiven of their debts. The congregation of Jews, only, rushed Jesus, took him outside, and threw him over a cliff. He survives, and is stoned to death. Thus began the Revolution of the Debt Archives, that led to the War with Rome. Many debt archives were captured, and the debt scrolls – burned! Moabites were freed of their debt, and fought with the Jews that took their ancient lands. History is repeating itself. God – will get it right, and make it right! I call for a ceasefire in Gaza!

Jesus could have been the first Judaizer who converted non-Jewish slaves to Judaism, and thus they became Free Men. How about – Free Women? Rome had a million slaves. How many sought conversion so they would be set free? This would be a great threat to the Slave-State of Rome, and wealthy slave merchants, who I suspect hired Saul of Tarsus to put an end to this New Abolition Movement, by creating a facsimile and false narrative, that elevated the importance of one rebel, turning him into a Roman and Greek – GOD! I suspect John’s Baptism freed non-Jewish slaves of their yoke with a special baptism. If so, it is a lie that Dead Jesus anointed Saul-Paul to minister to the Gentiles. God gave John Permission, and those he freed – were owners of this permission. Do the math! This is Democracy – that spread like wildfire! Paul and his Christians put God’s Liberty up in heaven, and out of reach while one is still alive!

She knows, and has been trying to heal me for two months. She wont’ leave me alone and wants up on my lap to heal the degeneration of my spine – that went undetected because of neglect by my primary care physician. Finally, imaging and ex-rays were taken two months ago, and the head doctor called me and wants to see me on February 5th. I may no last that long. This doctor wanted to see me right away – ten days ago. He did not tell me I was dying, but he should have. I have so much to do. I have unfinished books. This post is rough. The ides Jesus was a slave came to me a week ago.

I am looking for a new home for Classy. I considered she will become a foundling if I were to put her out the door just before I leave this planet. Here is my e-mail…

Freeing a slave

The Tanakh contains the rule that Jewish slaves would be released following six years of service, but that non-Jewish slaves (barring a long list of conditions including conversion, or disability) could potentially be held indefinitely. The Talmud codified and expanded the list of conditions requiring manumission to include religious necessity, conversion, escape, maltreatment, and codified slaves’ property rights and rights to education.[69] Freeing a non-Jewish slave was seen as a religious conversion, and involved a second immersion in a ritual bath (mikveh). Jewish authorities of the Middle Ages argued against the Biblical rule that provided freedom for severely injured slaves.[70]

Treatment of slaves

The Torah and the Talmud contain various rules about how to treat slaves. Biblical rules for treatment of Jewish slaves were more lenient than for non-Jewish slaves[71][72][73] and the Talmud insisted that Jewish slaves should be granted similar food, drink, lodging, and bedding, to that which their master would grant to himself.[74] Laws existed that specified punishment of owners that killed slaves.[75][76] Jewish slaves were often treated as property; for example, they were not allowed to be counted towards the quorum, equal to 10 men, needed for public worship.[77] Maimonides and other halachic authorities forbade or strongly discouraged any unethical treatment of slaves, Jewish or not.[78][79] Some accounts indicate that Jewish slave-owners were affectionate, and would not sell slaves to a harsh master[80][obsolete source] and that Jewish slaves were treated as members of the slave-owner’s family.[81]

Scholars are unsure to what extent the laws encouraging humane treatment were followed. In the 19th century, Jewish scholars such as Moses Mielziner and Samuel Krauss studied slave-ownership by ancient Jews, and generally concluded that Jewish slaves were treated as merely temporary bondsman, and that Jewish owners treated slaves with special compassion.[82] However, 20th century scholars such as Solomon Zeitlin and Ephraim Urbach, examined Jewish slave-ownership practices more critically, and their historical accounts generally conclude that Jews did own slaves at least through the Maccabean period, and that it was probably more ubiquitous and humane than earlier scholars had maintained.[83] Professor Catherine Hezser explains the differing conclusions by suggesting that the 19th century scholars were “emphasizing the humanitarian aspects and moral values of ancient Judaism, Mielziner, Grunfeld, Farbstein, and Krauss [to argue] that the Jewish tradition was not inferior to early Christian teachings on slaves and slavery.”[82]

Converting or circumcising non-Jewish slaves

The Talmudic laws required Jewish slave owners to try to convert non-Jewish slaves to Judaism.[3][obsolete source][84] Other laws required slaves, if not converted, to be circumcised and undergo ritual immersion in a bath (mikveh).[84][85] A 4th century Roman law prevented the circumcision of non-Jewish slaves, so the practice may have declined at that time,[86] but increased again after the 10th century.[87][obsolete source] Jewish slave owners were not permitted to drink wine that had been touched by an uncircumcised person so there was always a practical need, in addition to the legal requirement, to circumcise slaves.[87][obsolete source]

Although conversion to Judaism was a possibility for slaves, rabbinic authorities Maimonides and Karo discouraged it on the basis that Jews were not permitted (in their time) to proselytize;[66] slaveowners could enter into special contracts by which they agree not to convert their slaves.[66] Furthermore, to convert a slave into Judaism without the owner’s permission was seen as causing harm to the owner, on the basis that it would rob the owner of the slave’s ability to work during the Sabbath, and it would prevent them from selling the slave to non-Jews.[66]

One exceptional issue, codified by Maimonides, was the requirement allocating a 12-month period when a Jewish owner of non-Jewish would propose conversion to the slave. If accepted, slavery would transform from Canaanite to Hebrew, triggering the set of rights associated with the latter, including an early release. As noted above, Maimonides considered Hebrew slavery prohibited until Israel is reestablished with full religious rigor. Consequently, the release of a slave was to be immediate upon conversion. If unaccepted, the Jewish slave owner was required to sell the slave to non-Jews by the end of the 12-month period (Mishneh Torah, Sefer Kinyan 5:8:14). If the non-Jewish slave conditions slavery by non-conversion prior to enslavement, the 12-month period does not apply. Instead, the slave might elect to convert at any time, with the consequences described (Ibid). It is unclear to what extent Maimonides’s prescription was actually followed, but some scholars believe it played a role in the formation of Ashkenazi Jews, partially formed from converted slaves freed according to Maimonides’ procedure.[88] Applications of this protocol were also proposed concerning the early formation of communities of African-American Jews.
