Get Behind Me Satan – Michael Johnson!

5 House races may predict political tide
Journal of Life (2008 - 2009): Salzburg's Old Town

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dropped a lot of names during his speech to Congress: Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Secretary of State John Kerry, Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel, even poet Robert Frost.” But for the close he went for an obvious pick: Moses.”

Moses (c. 1350-1250 B.C.) Hebrew prophet and lawgiver. Transformed a wandering people into a nation; received the Ten Commandments.

The 23 marble relief portraits over the gallery doors of the House Chamber in the U.S. Capitol depict historical figures noted for their work in establishing the principles that underlie American law. They were installed when the chamber was remodeled in 1949-1950.

Jesus hated legalism. Why then do Congressman own the title ‘Lawmakers‘ ? Why did these lawmakers approve of the making of an image of Moses that looks down on them in the Sacred all of Congress?

When Michael Johnson was sworn in as Speaker of the House, he made a reference to the relief of Moses – also! Jesus and Paul did away with the Laws of Moses, and replaced Legalism with “Grace”.. I thought about replacing the graven image of Moses with Lincoln – or Martin Luther King – because the teaching of Moses was not INCLUSIVE to all peoples. Martin was a Doctor of Divinity and helped free slaves – even more so – by championing Civil Rights! Then I thought about placing a statue of crucified Jesus above Moses’ head as a reminder that Jesus rebuked Peter for wanting to retain the basics of the Judaic religion!

“Get behind me Satan!”

As I lie in bed, God bid me to place the statue that looks over my Stuttmeister ancestors – over the large flag in the hall of Congress, with these words

“Come unto me!”

I will do this in the name of my kin, John Fremont, a founder of the Republican Party – as a reminder that the Democrats did not create and sustain the thousand schisms and religious battles over the teaching of Jesus, that resulted in the Bartholomew Massacre.

LAWMAKER, Michael Johnson bears false witness when he said this;

“The founders wanted to protect the church from an encroaching state, not the other way around,” he said during a September 2022 episode of the podcast.

What “state” is he referring to? There was no “state”. There was the Church of England, and the Habsburg Empire. Get wise to their religious trick of making their enemy out to be Satan. The reason the Supreme Court ruled against Abortion – was to get Democrats to OBJECT – and thus APPEAR to be the State of Satan. The same goes for the attack upon the LBBTQ people. .Most Republicans have low IQs and want a simple faith. They don’t want to hear or read about Religious Schisms. They want a simple and clear enemy. I listened to Fox News this morning saying the FBI is totally corrupt and can not be trusteed to uphold our Nation’s Laws.

There are Religious Arguments about whether Jesus is God! The Democrats did not invent this argument. Why not chisel this in stone above the head of God-Jesus;

“The buck stops here! Bring all your religious arguments unto me, and I will put them to rest, so as a United People…..you can wage war against – THE REAL ENEMY!”

Write-in Candidate for Republican President.

EXTRA! Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas made a sweetheart loan. He makes laws. Why did he come to believe – HE IS ABOVE THE LAW? Does he think God chose him to be on the bench?

When President Roosevelt sent our first troops to Europe to fight the Mass-murderer of Jews, no party dare say they are closer to God than the other party. If a Justice did what Thomas did during our urgent time of war – he would be put before a firing squad! What if the allied army lost to the Nazi? Hitler’s SS would be free to hunt down and exterminate Jews all over the world – even in England and the U.S. There would be no Israel. It stands to reason Israeli War and Law Makers want to see the Old Unity that made America Great. Why would they be for one party over another?

After months of ethics controversies, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas would no doubt like to see an end to the many damaging revelations. Unfortunately for the far-right jurist, the end is not near. The New York Times reported overnight:

According to the Senate panel’s findings, nearly nine years after receiving the generous loan, the Supreme Court justice made an unclear number of interest payments, at which point the outstanding debt was forgiven.

The Republican and Democratic political parties of the United States didn’t always stand for what they do today. The more liberal Democrats and the right-wing Republicans each have a defined set of belief systems, but these were once very different. So when did Democrats and Republicans switch platforms? And why?

Jesus had just revealed to His disciples for the first time the plan: He was to go to Jerusalem to suffer, die, and be raised to life (Matthew 16:21Mark 8:31). Contrary to their expectations of Him, Jesus explained that He had not come to establish an earthly Messianic kingdom at that time. The disciples were not prepared for this new revelation of the Messiah’s purpose.”

As Christians, we champion grace. Rightly so. We read, “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace” (Romans 6:14), responding with an emphatic, Amen! The law is a great burden, one that you and I could not fulfill. Praise God that we are under his grace! Our salvation rests upon this.

In the New Testament (NT), the Old Testament (OT) law is described as something that “proved to be death” to us (Romans 7:10), “came to increase trespass” (Romans 5:20), and held us “captive” and “imprisoned” (Galatians 3:23).

So, in addition to being life-long advocates of the grace we have been given in Christ, we read these verses about the law and perhaps find ample reason to dismiss it. If the law proved to be death, came to increase trespass, and held us captive, are we not given reason to believe that Christianity in the NT has advanced in an alternate direction—away from the law of the OT

9. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”

10. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

What Does it Mean to Bear False Witness?

According to Matthew Henry’s commentary, bearing false witness can mean a few different things with the same basic theme. He stated the meaning as, “Speaking falsely in any matter, lying, equivocating, and any way devising and designing to deceive our neighbor . . . Speaking unjustly against our neighbor . . . laying to his charge things that he knows not, either judicially, upon oath or . . . in common converse, slandering, backbiting . . . endeavoring to raise our own reputation upon the ruin of our neighbor’s.”

Therefore, bearing false witness is not passive; it is an active assault against our neighbor. The action often meant misrepresentation in a court of law but also extended to the moral law of acting like a people set apart for God and by God to reflect His glory and majesty.

Why Is “Bearing False Witness” a Big Deal?

Once again, God’s people were coming out of 400 years of enslavement in a pagan country. They needed to be reminded that He was to be respected as the creator of the universe—the One True God. It would be offensive to Him to have idols made of Him that would be worshiped. He was the one who wanted the relationship with the people that He made. He would not take second place to any other “god” in their lives either. If they chose to follow Him, God would bless them. If not, life would be worthless.

Estimates of the number that perished in the massacres have varied from 2,000 by a Roman Catholic apologist to 70,000 by the contemporary Huguenot Maximilien de Béthune, who himself barely escaped death.[39] Accurate figures for casualties have never been compiled,[40] and even in writings by modern historians there is a considerable range, though the more specialised the historian, the lower they tend to be. At the low end are figures of about 2,000 in Paris[41] and 3,000 in the provinces, the latter figure an estimate by Philip Benedict in 1978.[42] Other estimates are about 10,000 in total,[43] with about 3,000 in Paris[44] and 7,000 in the provinces.[45] At the higher end are total figures of up to 20,000,[46] or 30,000 in total, from “a contemporary, non-partisan guesstimate” quoted by the historians Felipe Fernández-Armesto and D. Wilson.[47]

WASHINGTON (RNS) — After weeks of turmoil, House Republicans elected Rep. Mike Johnson on Wednesday (Oct.25) as the new speaker of the House, an act the Louisiana congressman suggested was ordained by God.

“I believe that Scripture, the Bible, is very clear: that God is the one who raises up those in authority,” Johnson said in his first speech after being elected speaker in a 220-209 vote. “He raised up each of you. All of us.”

Johnson, an evangelical Christian, peppered his remarks with religious references. He recounted the history of how the motto “In God We Trust” was placed in the House chamber — a rebuke of communism, which many associated with atheism — and highlighted the Declaration of Independence’s use of “Creator.” He also noted the presence of Moses on the wall of the House chamber.

“Through adversity, it makes you stronger,” he said, referencing the three-week period in October that it took Republicans to elect a new speaker to replace the ousted Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

In a later speech on the Capitol steps, Johnson framed his leadership goals by citing Romans 5:3-4.

“I was reminded of the Scripture that says ‘Suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope,’” he said. “What we need in this country is more hope.”

Johnson has been tied to multiple Baptist churches over the years and currently attends Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana, according to the Louisiana Baptist Message. He is also a former lawyer and communications staffer with the Alliance Defense Fund, which later became known as Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative Christian legal firm.

According to CNN, Johnson penned a number of editorials while working at ADF, including ones in which he decried homosexuality as an “inherently unnatural” and “dangerous lifestyle” that could lead to the collapse of “the entire democratic system.”

Johnson has continued to voice support for conservative Christian viewpoints while in office, even hosting a podcast with his wife, Kelly, a licensed pastoral counselor, aimed at providing an “analysis of hot topics and current events from a Christian perspective.”

Among other things, Speaker Johnson has repeatedly rejected many broadly held interpretations of the separation of church and state.

“The founders wanted to protect the church from an encroaching state, not the other way around,” he said during a September 2022 episode of the podcast.

He went on to argue that “a free society and a healthy republic depend upon religious and moral virtue,” arguing that society would crumble without it.

His views echo the writings of David Barton, a controversial Texas activist who has spent years railing against the separation of church and state. On Wednesday, Substack writer Warren Throckmorton pointed out that Johnson lauded Barton during a 2021 talk to a group of state legislators organized by WallBuilders, an organization founded by Barton.

“I was introduced to David and his ministry a quarter century ago, and it has had such a profound influence on me and my work and my life and everything I do,” Johnson said at the time.

Johnson’s victory was celebrated by Brent Leatherwood, head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Johnson served on the commission’s board from 2004 to 2012.

“Mike Johnson, a name familiar to many Southern Baptists, has been tapped to lead the chamber, and I want to offer my personal congratulations to him,” Leatherwood said in a statement. He later noted that his first Capitol Hill meeting as head of ERLC was with Johnson and lauded him as someone who “carries an abiding devotion to our convention of churches, subscribes to the principles that are dear to so many Southern Baptists and has deep pride in our nation.”

Johnson’s views are likely to clash with that of many of his colleagues on the other side of the aisle. His election comes the same day as a House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border and Foreign Affairs hearing, which included a discussion of Christian nationalism between Rep. Maxwell Frost of Florida, who said he was raised Southern Baptist, and Amanda Tyler, who heads the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty.

During their exchange, Frost recalled recent remarks by Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, who declared that “the church is supposed to direct the government, the government is not supposed to direct the church.”

“(The Bible) warns us against people who would preach of a Christ that differs from the true Christ we learn about in the Bible,” Frost said. “That’s exactly what Christian nationalism is doing.”

Johnson also has ties to former President Donald Trump, having supported the effort to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election — a movement based on erroneous claims that ultimately culminated with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Trump celebrated Johnson’s nomination on Truth Social earlier on Wednesday.

Johnson ascends to the speakership after three weeks of chaos in the House spurred by the ouster of McCarthy from top leadership. The resulting jockeying for power proved to be a surprisingly religious affair: When Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio vied for the chair, he was introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik, who cited the biblical Book of Esther to insist Jordan was to be lifted up for the position “for such a time as this.” When Jordan later failed to win the speakership multiple times, Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, who is Catholic, reportedly left a heated Republican caucus meeting saying he was so upset he needed to “go up to the chapel and pray the rosary.” When Jordan decided to pursue the speakership yet again he did so after referencing in a news conference a verse from the New Testament book of 1 Timothy, saying he needed to “Fight the good fight of the faith.” (Jordan failed that vote, too.)

No White Jesus – Please!

Nearly three years ago, the governing First Presidency declared that artwork of Jesus — and only of Jesus — should adorn the foyers and entryways of the church’s meetinghouses.

Leaders even provided a list of nearly two dozen paintings approved for such use and reportedly are working to expand those offerings for a more diverse representation of Christ.

Aiming to give that effort a nudge, women and artists from a range of races and cultural backgrounds have banded together in hopes of filling Latter-day Saint buildings with a “Meetinghouse Mosaic” of pieces that depict Jesus more accurately.

“Christ historically had brown skin,” the group’s website states, “and that is the depiction we believe needs to be shared on our walls, in our manuals, on our bulletin boards, in our lessons and be the standard amongst all of us.”

A gallery showcasing new artwork of Jesus is planned for a year from now, in February 2024, at Provo’s Writ & Vision, according to a By Common Consent blog.

“Jurors will not accept white depictions of Christ for this show,” the post adds. “The goal of this show is to broaden the vision of how Christ, the Savior of the world, can be depicted and spotlight the religious artworks of people of color.”

The Mormon Americanization of Cristus

5 things you never knew about the Christus statue – LDS Living

After the three Mormon Sisters left my home, I mediated on the claim that Jesus came to America. Is there any real substantial proof of this? You could say whoever presents the BEST answer to this claim, and presents the more thorough doctrine backing up this unbelievable idea – becomes the head of the Mormon church. If Mormon Founders did anything special, they Americanized Jesus Christ. They put an image of him standing next to a covered wagon – and a team of oxen? Why staddle the fence any longer. Consider…..The Art.

The greatest artist to come out of Nebraska – by far – is Gutzon Borglum, who created Mount Rushmore and the Confederate monument that is in the news. Gutzon and his family lived in Omaha and Fremont City. When they moved to Los Angeles, my kindred, Jessie Benton-Fremont, became his patron. She sent Gutzon to famous art schools in Europe. Gutzon did a bust of Jessie, and a portrait of John Fremont.

Bertel Thorvaldsen claimed he descends claimed descent from Snorri Thorfinnsson, the first European born in America. My ex-wife Mary Ann Tharaldsen claims descent from Eric the Red. She was a artist. If religious artwork replaced religious doctrine, then, everyone would be well-pleased, except for the Jews and Muslims who claim they are not allowed t make “graven images”. How many religious books contain genealogies? I took over Herbert Armstrong’s Radio Church of God. I tried to save KORE which was an American Temple for British Israelism and the Family Trees it promotes. This morning I awoke with the idea I may have found an integral religion that will be a Repository for Royal Rosamond Press ‘A Newspaper For The Art’ and perhaps the longest genealogical search – in American History! I will post on GRANITE MOUNTAIN.
