My grandfather, Frank Weseley Rosamond a.k.a. Royal Rosamond, received 336 votes as a Socialist Candidate for the 16th. Assembly that constitute Ventura County where he was a resident. He owned a stationary store, and lived at 257 Chrisman Ave, and at 1632 Meta St.

Being a Western Socialist Writer who lived in California put Royal next to John Steinbeck and Jack London, as well as the artist, Thomas Hart Benton.
