I have been collecting my grandfathers books that I will donate to a major University. My sister’s biogrpahy is going there, along with mine when I am finished.

Yesterday, I took two books by Royal Rosamond out of my mailbox. ‘Bound In This Clay’ had the family history I was looking for. My aunt Lillian said it was there.
“Royal Rosamond’s grandfather, John Rose, son of Captain Isaac Hull’s daughter…”
This note in the dust jacket is of historic significance, because Isaac was considered, childless.
“Orphaned at the age of nine, Royal was “bound out” to his Uncle Jim Taylor, who imposed a man’s farm duties on the boy at twelve years of age.”
The great grandfather of John Rose, was put on a ship bound for America, against his will, and he was sold as an indentured slave.
Above is a family photo that I assume I took because I am not in the group, and the camera angle is low. I have spent at least 2,000 hours compiling my families history without a note of gratitude…
