Rosamund Pike Says She Would Play Bond

The male James Bond has been chosen. Rosamond Pike talks about the set being safe. Back in April she said she would play a female Bond. Do I own the copyright on this idea that I have developed – before the eyes of the world? Why is Lara Roozemond playing hard to get? Is she waiting for the Pro-team to come sweep her off her feet?

My mother, born Rosemary Rosamond, was never more kick-ass then when she fought for her four cubs. She fought Victor for the big steak he cooked at midnight. She stabbed him between the eyes and he ran out of the Presco home, never to return. She made porno movies for the Mafia to pay the rent and put food on our table.

Belle Burch should retract her accusation that Alley Valkyries made for her, or, make it herself. She claims she is kick-ass. She is now part of a real deal. I am a contender as the author of the female Bond. Ian Fleming in in the Rosamond Family Tree! It took guts for my mother to get naked in front of a camera – for starters!

I was the family cook since I was twelve.

“Where’s mother? She’s late for dinner – again!”

How could she come home and face the questioning of her children? How could she act like everything was normal? Rosemary was in Nava Intelligence spying on the Russian radio broadcasts.

I deserve and agent and a attorney! The abuse of women in the movie industry is not about the naughty casting couch, but, the evil money! Men and women – want money! Money is power! We see this in the fight over the Rosamond estate. I will not be aced out – by big money people – again!

Rosamund Pike has given her view on the debate around whether the next James Bond should be a woman, suggesting the idea would mean women get “sloppy seconds”.

The Oscar nominee starred as Bond Girl Miranda Frost in 2002’s Die Another Day and was pressed on whether producers should cast a female star in the role.

“I’d just say write a new story,” Pike suggested to UPROXX. “I mean James Bond is a character that Ian Fleming created. I mean, you know of course the brand has become bigger and whatever, but take one of the Bond Girls and give her her own story.

“I think the character of James Bond is a man. He is really. But I mean, to have such a character in a completely independent series, why should a woman get sort of sloppy seconds?

“Why should she have once been a man and now it has to be played by a woman? Why not make a kick-ass female agent in her own right?”

She added: “You can’t always just flip it and just say, ‘Oh, she’s a woman now’. I mean, that’s to underestimate a woman entirely I think. There’s nothing really about the James Bond character as written by Ian Fleming that resembles a woman.”

However, the star put herself in the running to take on the role if a new agent was created, adding: “Make an unexpected, unapologetic, kick-ass, amazing female agent and yes, I’ll play her.”

Pike’s comments echo those of Rachel Weisz – who is married to Daniel Craig – after she suggested that women should dodge Bond for “their own stories”.

The next Bond movie, which will be Craig’s last outing as 007, is expected to hit cinemas on November 8, 2019 in the US.

She said: “At 22, when I was on the Bond set – one of the potentially most chauvinist productions you could imagine – it could have been a very vulnerable place for a young actress to step into her first major role and it wasn’t.”

Said said MGM’s chairman of the board of directors Kevin Ulrich: “Under the leadership of Michael and Barbara, we couldn’t be more thrilled than to bring the next 007 adventure to the big screen uniting the incomparable Daniel Craig with the extraordinary vision of Danny Boyle.”

Added MGM films president Jonathan Glickman: “It has been 16 years since Die Another Day was distributed by MGM and it’s incredibly gratifying to be releasing this film alongside the powerhouse team at Universal.”

Said Langley: “Universal is extremely proud to collaborate with Michael, Barbara and MGM on the international marketing and distribution of Bond 25. The unparalleled combination of Danny’s innovative filmmaking and Daniel’s embodiment of 007 ensured we simply had to be partners in the next chapter of this iconic series.”
