Oakland was a Mecca for Poets.
I’m still waiting for a call-back from Alan Fox after I left a message on his voice mail. I told him about my grandfather’s literary history. Royal Rosamond talked about founding a poet’s retreat with his friend, Otto Rayburn, a publisher and Ozark Historian. Rosamond owned forty acres in Arkansas. Rayburn asks Rosamond to contact his poet friends in California. Being a poet, I am sure Alan would be interested in this history. I am a poet as well.
My great grandfather was a neigbor and friend of Joaquin Miller.
